Problem with AE 802.11n when linking to Linksys Wireless G
I've been reading the posts over the last couple days. It seems like there are a lot of people with the same issue of connecting the new AE n to an existing g network.
I'm hoping someone has a magic answer before the hard reset button wears out
The problem after a manual setup
- "AirPort Utility was unable to find your Apple wireless device after restarting.", AE's signal is then not recognized by Mac
- continues to Flash amber (it always Flashes amber)
- hard resetting of AE after each attempt with AirPort Utility 5.3.1, same response after attempt as stated above
Network Spec's
- Linksys Wireless - G ,2.4GHz 802.11g
- trying to join or extend wireless with the AE 802.11n
- MacBook 2.2 GHz
- Signal strength is strong
- WEP 128-bit, 26 characters hexadecimal password
- when entering password I've tried hex escapes "$" and "0X" before the password as per http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1126
- AE works fine when creating WPA/WPA2 Personal network, but I need to also sync with PC that I can't upgrade or change from the g configuration
- I've even returned (& exchanged) one AE n to make sure the unit was not defective
Think I've covered everything here. Borrowed the last AE g model and it set-up in a second, no problem. I have a simple system... this shouldn't be this difficult?

Could you clarify this? WPA/WPA2 vs. WEP is about security options, whereas n versus g is about something different (to do with the way the wireless network itself works, I think). At any rate, WPA/WPA2 is not opposed to g - my network is pre-n but uses this form of security.

If you are opening up your project via the XPJ file in
RoboHelp HTML the remote topic should be able to be found by:
- Highlighting what is to be hyperlinked.
- Clicking the Insert > Hyperlink menu item (or use the
toolbar icon or Cntl + K).
- Click on the arrow to the right of the "Link To" field.
- Select the Remote Topic option.
- Select the CHM file that contains the topic to which the
hyperlink is linked to.
- Select the required topic.
You will be asked to copy the CHM into your project
directory. Hope this answers your question. If not, please do come

I have a problem with two PDF's when trying to open them through a link on a web page. The two PDF's open fine with Adobe on my own PC and on the server I have copied it to but when they are opened through a link on a web page (pointing to the server where the PDFs open fine) I get an error 'There was an error processing a page. Invalid function resource' The other one just doesn't open at all. Can anyone help with this please?

Problem with PremiereProCS5 and AfterEffectsCS5 Dinamic Link!
I installed PremiereProCS4, and after, "Adobe Master Collection Suite CS5" in Italian Language, with PremiereProCS5 and AfterEffectsCS5 on OS Windows7x64Bit.
I made a first composition with AfterEffects, from PremierePro by choosing "Adobe Dinamic Link">"Replace with AE Composition".
After that, I made another second version of the same project, directly with AfterEffects.
I want replace this AE version with existing version, in PremierePro.
Thus, I selected "Adobe Dinamic Link">"Import AE Composition".
1) But, the problem is that the new, fresh AE composition is not found!
The Dinamic Link, in PremierePro, doesn't refresh the window where it is located the new AE Composition called "n°2" made last with AE, (not with DynamicLink)!
There are available 3 files, that I made, but all the files display only the old composition called "n°1", made with DynamicLink, and with "Replace with AE Composition" command!
The composition made with AE directly, is not displayed!
Why?
In fact, I tried to right click the clip, in PremiereProCS5 timeline, choosed "Replace with Clip">"From Folder" and selected the last imported AE composition: the composition is allways the OLD file made with DynamicLink, not the file made directly with AE!

I made from scratch these new projects with AECS5, called:
"Montaggio_02_CS5_04_Franzi_AECS5 - Composizione collegata 02.avi" and
"Montaggio_02_CS5_04_Franzi_AECS5 - Composizione collegata 03.avi",
not renamed, nor duplicated.
-But PremierePro and DynamicLink doesn't display those in the window! -
When I turn my computer on (Windows 7) I receive a message that Apple wants to make a change to the hardware. I click on yes but nothing happens. The change has something to do with Apple "push". I recently had a problem with"push" on iTunes when I tried to sync my iPod Touch. I have latest software for iTunes and iPod. Can anyone tell me what to do to get this change to install?

Since hardware cannot be changed with software, perhaps you would be so kind as to post the exact wording of the message? -

I have Windows 7 and just recently experienced a problem with itunes freezing up when I clicked on the "apps" tab which shows the apps that are loaded on my phone. Everything else in the itunes software seems to be working okay. The problem is in the part where you sync the newly purchased apps. The apps will all be blank that are downloaded and that part of the software crashes itunes or freezes up. I can get out of itunes okay after the freeze up, but it just stops me from syncing anything that I have newly added. If anyone has had this problem before or knows someone that has, please let me know how I can fix it. I have uninstalled and reloaded itunes 4 or 5 times, but the problem is still there. I might add that I have been using itunes and purchasing apps for 2 to 3 years without any problems. HELP.

Ive used compressor and then tried to put it in dvdsp put its not working. I am having problems with the audio or when i burn it , i cant play the dvd? any help would be appreciated
I suspect you are attempting to burn an HD DVD, which will not play on a DVD player...
But if you provide more details such as the settings you are applying in Compressor, then we would be able to provide you more accurate information.
How are you adding the files to Compressor?
In FCP, what are your footage properties (command-9) and sequence settings (command-0) -

hi I have been trying to do this, but PE13 comes up with a fail message saying that file types are not supported, am only trying to import jpeg files so can't understand this. So far have been unable to use PE13 at all, any ideas anyone please!

I have an eMac which I want to connect to my home wireless network. My router is D-Link - 601 tech. 802.11n. My eMac is wireless ready but does not contain an airport card. Do I need a card and an airport station? What else?
You need the Airport card OR Airport Express but not both. Considering the age of your machine, I recommend Airport Express as you will find other uses for it whenever you replace the eMac.
To set up the AE, you do need OSX 10.4 or higher. -

Hello I have encounted a problem with Photoshop. Normally when you start a new documant, you are given the options to have A4, A3, ect page set ups. These inbuilt page set ups seem to have disapeared, does anyone please know how to fix this? Many thanks Ben [email protected]

Thanks for your message. You can custom set pages but there are no preset of page sizes like A4, A3, ect. I cannot click the size preference, nothing comes up

when i unchek the card information it was show me an error!Though you are being asked for card details it doesn't necessarily mean that the card will be charged for the purchase (unless you want to gift content). Have you tried entering your card's details to confirm the account ? You should then be able to remove it.

I have a problem with elements 8. When ever I start a new project, the program searches for the old, latest used filmmaterial, I have used before. That means, if I use a different DVD, it take so much time, until the program starts. So how can I stopp the automatically uploading of old material?

When I export DV clips from FCE I get lines appear on moving objects, (HDTV). When I export the same clip using iMovie08 it all looks smooth. I've tried the de-interlace, it made it worse. How can I get rid of the lines in FCE?
