Problem with application !!!Urgent need Help please!!!

Hello i am trying to make a 2d sprite engine. I have a serious problem. When i start the application sometimes the screen is just gray. and no matter how long i leave it it just stays gray however every now and again if i run it works fine. this is realy troubling me i cant understand it.
I am try to use a double buffering strategry and also am storing images on accelerated memory if someone could please help me this would be a great help

DV5-1115 Problems with overheating, need help please

So I have a program that tells me the tempature of my computer, as I'm writing this my computer is 130F, if i play any games it's 150-170 EASY. I play fifteen minutes of a game on lowest graphics (simular to Dota) (no battery as well) and my comp hits right at 200 and shutsdown... Anyone have any idea how to make my computer cooler?
EDITED: I do want to mention that I did send it in once for the same problem, sending it in again for the same problem, I am an IT student and use it atleast ten hours a day. So until I have to send it away I need to atleast have a temporary fix.
P.S. I have it on a table with fans blowing under it. (so really this is ridiculous)
P.P.S. Hp makes me sad atm.

Many Problems with Ipod! Need Help =[

Ey um there has been lots of issues with my Ipod!! (5th gen 30gigs)
Conditions:
-Ipod skips songs when playing(the songs arn't corrupted)
-Ipod freezes occasionally when viewing photos or playing music
-Ipod at times wont show on itunes 7
-When Ipod has connected to computer, and shown in Itunes, Itunes call my Ipod “Ipod” when it is supposed to be called “RnA”(and it won’t restore…Either my computer freezes or it would go on 4evr but not restore)
-When trying to turn on Ipod, a msg appears “Use Itunes to restore” When I plug and connect to Itunes, It says This Ipod needs to be reformatted for your pc. ( when I press update, my computer freezes, or would take forevr…and not update
-When I try to restore my Ipod my computer freezes or it would take forevr but not work
My questions:
-I bought my Ipod during the summer, and it was bought online from my dad, but he accidentally threw receipt away…Can I still replace my Ipod? Or find repairs?
-Where is the nearest Apple store in SanFrancisco?! I can’t find any!
-HOW DO I FIX MY IPOD?! T.T
What Happened:
Ok, last month, my Ipod was working perfectly until one day it froze… So I reset it. But after a few days when I connect my Ipod to my computer, it charges and everything is fine, but when I click disconnect Ipod on Itunes, or Disconnect when using Safely Remove Hardware…It works but then my Ipod still says Do not disconnect. But I disconnected it anyway and reset it. And it was working. And I have been having this problem a lot wen I updated to Itunes 7.
Then 2-3 weeks later, my Ipod started having many problems… It would skip songs even though my songs aren’t corrupted… And when I look at photos, It would freeze for around 20 seconds, and my Ipod turns laggy. So I reset it and it’s ok but then it happened again the next day. And these problems kept going on but I ignored it T.T
And now, I can’t use my Ipod at all! It says I need to use itunes to restore…So when I connect it to my computer, It would appear on Safely remove hardware, but Itunes would pop up and have no Ipod in it. So I tried disconnecting and reconnecting around 5 times. Then it worked! Except, Itunes call my Ipod “Ipod” wen it is supposed to be called RnA. And I try to restore it but it wont work! Please help me! ASAP! T.T and thanks!

Please don't shake it. It has a hard drive in it and by doing that you may damage the heads. That is the clack noise the heads hitting the platter. Not a good thing.

And my code compile sucesfully, but when I try to run in a request Client, appear in the Browser the next.

Exactly the ISO8859-1 containt the languaje code pt, but is very extrange that not encode the output wih my source code. Also change the Locale to Portuguese. But is the same the request can�t encode in the getParameter. And for this reazon I try use setCharacterEncoding for give the request the correct encoder but appear the message error.

Problems with some fonts, need help!

Hi everyone,
Recently I need to create some documents in Pages and I found some problems with some of the fonts. Apparently some fonts when the font size is increased the spacing between characters gets reduced and ooks very weird.

I've tried all type of configs in pages and i'm really clueless what this is.
Can anyone please give me some pointers?

This leaves several files instaled. Among them are the preferences files. If you re-install with existing preferences files, these one aren't replaced by new, clean, ones.
Right, uninstalling the application does not necessarily uninstall its preferences. (Indeed, previous InDesign and QuarkXPress betas had the problem that they preserved the older preferences when the newer betas were installed which could lead to crashes.)
Arguably, system software has to have smart install / uninstall so that all the files installed by an application are removed, but then what about fonts and / or profiles installed with the application, which some other application may be using as a resource.
I don't know, but the word 'simple' and the word 'software' don't seem ever to be synonyms .

Printing problem with Photoshop cs4, need help

I'm using PS CS4, with a Canon Pixma iP4200 and Mac os 10.6.2. I CAN print from other programs such as TextEdit or Pages. And my printer prints a test page without any problems. However, when I try to print something from PhotoShop, the printer dialogue box opens, I see the image in the preview and the page rolls through my printer...without anything on it. Does anybody know the reason for this?? Thank you for your help.

I haven't heard of anyone else with those specific symptoms.
But another poster has had problems with his Canon 9900 not printing (but no blank page).
The first thing to do is make sure you are using the Canon drivers and not the GutenPrint/GimpPrint drivers.
After that, you probably need to check with Canon.

My Safari is suddenly opening strange tabs when I am trying to open something else. I have never had this problem before and I need help please, I don't know how to stop this happening

I have had my Macbook for 18 months and have never experienced this problem with strange windows suddenly opening in Safari. I know this happens on windows 8 computers a lot, and it has never happened on my Macbook before.
Please can someone tell me how to get rid of these. I have reset my Safari and rebooted my computer, and don't know what else to do. This is very frustrating, as I cannot just do what I need to do.

Your problem is this:inString.read(). String has no method called read().
To loop through a String and check it's contents line by line you could use a for-statement and String's charAt(int) method.

Compiler Problem with double. Need Help

I am having a problem with WorkShop Compilers 5.0 98/12/15 C++ 5.0. There is a problem with declaring double inside a nested class which is nested 3 times. Below is the code what shows the problem. Salman - I tested your program on an up to date version of the C++
5.0 compiler and received the following results:

That is what I would expect...
Have you installed all of the patches for the 5.0 compiler? It is
possible that this problem was found and fixed.
The current basic patchid's for CC 5.0 on sparc are: 107311-12, 107357-11, and the libC patch for your version of the OS.

Problems with exporting. Need help fast

So I recorded some video game footage (Battlefield 4) and when I look at the raw file, it says it's 1920x1080. I edited it and finished it and even if I look in info it says that it's 1920x1080.
But when I try to export the video it says that the source file is 1280x1080
So when I export it, it is in REALLY bad quality and I usually upload high quality videos! What do I do? I need help, fast! I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.
I have a i7 3770k CPU so I don't think that is an issue. 8GB of ram aswell.

Mega problems with new Mega 180 - Help, please!

Hello everyone. I recently built a MEGA 180 system for a customer of mine, and have been having NOTHING but problems with it. First off, during the Windows XP PRo install, I'll often receive errors stating that certain files cant be copied, and I'll have to hit enter several times before the file will copy. I've replaced the CD-ROM with an MSI model, and used a different XP CD, and still receive these errors during install pretty often. Secondly, once I get everything installed, I'll get numerous program errors in XP (usually explorer.exe and iexplore.exe, but pretty much every program crashes sometimes). I've used a different HD, different RAM, and I've formatted the HD and reinstalled XP at least 6 times, and am STILL having problems. Im a computer tech, and fairly proficient at building PCs, though this is my first SFF pc I've built. Im really at my wits end here, and am not sure where else to go for ideas on what this can be. I've submitted an online help ticket with MSI, but I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas in the meantime. System specs are as follows:
MSI Mega 180
AMD XP 2800+ CPU (I used artic silver, btw)
512MB Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM (I also used 512MB GEIL PC3200 Golden Dragon)
80GB Western Digital HD
MSI CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive
average temp under load: 50c
average temp idle: 36c

Well, hrmm... :noidea:I know when I built my Mega180 I didn't have those problems at least, so it's hard to pinpoint. My bets are toward the memory (although you did swap it out, so that's what bugs me with my thought on that). My next guess would be the MoBo itself (which would be an MSI replace basically as there isn't much leeway for a different board for that case (or getting it out ). I am shocked, however, that you have your sys temps so low. I have an Athlon XP 2700+ (333 FSB, Thunderbird) and my temps go around 60C with the case open and a small room fan blowing through the case...for now). Do you mind telling me how you got your system so cool? I've been considering the Koolance Exos watercooling just to bring this system to stable, lower temps [but I've never dealt with watercooling yet ) Of course, sys temps have always been by biggest problem.
Sorry if this wasn't a big help, but the randomness of the errors seems to lean towards the memory/mobo...possibly the HDD I suppose. Does it still receive errors when not dealing with an optical disc (CD or DVD)? If so, that definitely rules out the optical as the only problem (it may still be a problem, but it wouldn't be the only one at least).

I think I have a problem with Mavericks: can anyone help,please?

A couple of days ago I installed Mavericks on top of my existing Mountain Lion OS. Not before I backed up the ML version with Time Machine, though.... :-)
Initially I thought everthing was fine, but then started to notice a few things that bothered me, which have not gone away. In fact, I think this install is now a potential problem. Unlike many other people, elsewhere on this forum, I have not noticed the calamitous slowing down and general unusability of Mavericks. I'm using a prety new i7 iMac ( the new flat one) with 32 GB of RAM.Everytihng worked great with Mountain Lion. However, The following anomalies have cropped up: Mail is taking over 30" to send a simple email. In ML it was almost instantaneous. I feel that Mail is not performing as it did in ML, and the same goes for Safari. It "feels" odd and slow and can take an age to load up pages. In fact one particular page would not load properly at all, but worked fine in Firefox. In the end got it to work in Sfari, but ithis type of behaviour doesn't instill confidence. Things got wierder...
An update to iMovie got " stuck" in the dowload process,and was perpetually downloading in Launchpad. It kept oscillating from approx 61 MB to aprrox 84 MB of a 1.94 GB file. Then I did a disk utiltiy test of my system drive and it suddenly stated that the drive need repairing. I booted up in Recovery Mode and tested the drive, which came back all clear! I booted up normally again and now the disk utility won't even complete a full diagnosis of the drive!It will diagnos all my other drives fine though.... :-s It keeps getting stuck on: Checking Volume Bitmap, and won't go any further. So, I did what some other person did on another thread, which seemed to clear up his problems; namely: simply reinstalled Mavericks from Recovery mode. This did not improve anything for me. The same issues remain. In fact as I type this, I notice that I'm using nearly 23 GB of my 32 GB of RAM, and all I have open is Safari, Disk Utility and Mail ! To quote Hans Solo: " I've got a b-a-a-a-d feeling about this..."
So, this is my long-winded way of asking: what shall I do? I would like to boot in Recovery Mode and reinstall my back up from an external drive. Does anyone have any advice about this,please? If I restore from my backup, will I actually get the ML OS back on the computer, or will I be stuck with Mavericks trying to impose itself ,as some people reported? I do want to use Mavericks, but not in the condition it's in right now. Also, really don't want to perfom a clean install and migrate everything over from the Time Machine back up....

I don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:
Disk Utility can verify my partitioned Volume (including my boot disk) AND REPAIR the non-boot disks on the same Volume without a glitch. It repairs the non-boot disks containing data smoothly.
I have used Mail to send some mails from some Yahoo and Hotmail accounts to my Thunderbird client containing GMail accounts - absolutely normal.
I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.
