  • Problems with attached documents in Mail and Docs To Go

    Hello everybody.
    I've found a problem with attached documents in Mail. In fact, if I click on attached documents with .doc (microsoft office word 97-2004) and files in .docx Office Open .xml, the iPad doesn't open them, also if I click in "Open with Docs To Go (which should support these files' format)".
    How can I do? There's an application or another way to open these files?
    Other Informations:
    Docs To Go version: 5.2.2

    Update the patch to the Sapgui.

  • Problems with file upload - bidding attachments

    Dear all,
    during the tests in our SRM development system we tried to attach a file to a new bid invitation.
    This is not possible because of different error messages.
    Does this has something to so with a digital signature? Can I customzie this?
    Another question is, where can I customize the settings for external email? The basis settings are set on the server, but it won't work.
    Thanks for your help.
    Kind regards
    Christian

    Hi Christian,
    Apart from basic settings you need to check the JDK version on your sytem from where you are trying to attach the file. It should be jdk 5.0 (JRE 1.5). Also apply the note 927142.
    If you are done with all basic required settings then attachment should work,if it doesn't,send me more details like what are the exact errors and system version details.
    By external mail, do you mean incoming mail or outgoing mails? If it is outgoing mail it is relatively easy than incoming mail settings. For Outgoing you need to make few settings in SCOT.
    Hope this will help you.
    Best Regards,
    Ameet

  • Problem with attachment in web service

    I'm writing a WebService under WebLogic 9.2 . My WebService API needs to recive and return an attachment. I'm tring to use a javax.activation.DataHandler object for the attachment, but for some reason in the WSDL file that being created, the DataHandler isn't being recognize and the "http://www.bea.com/servers/wls90/wsee/attachment" namespace is being associated with it (I'm using "jwsc" in the build.xml).
    Does anyone encounter with problem ? and does the DataHandler is the right object to use for attachment (i want to avoid using base-64 String)?

  • Contract - problem with attachements (empty field in LOIO_OBJID)

    Hi Guys,
    We are using extended classic scenario of SRM 4.0 (SRM Server 500) and our latest support package is SAPKIBKS12. We have the following problem with contracts.
    Sometimes when an attachment is added to a contract the system does not fill the following fields in tabel BBP_PDATT.
    LOIO_CLASS: Normally filled with BBP_L_DOC
    LOIO_OBJID: Normaly filled with a GUID size datastring
    Whenever this happens and later on the contract is changed and released the system will raise an abort. We tried the following notes but no good result.
    891293,919467,932602,964065. Some other notes that might be possible are 1042826/1085700/1083063 but we also don't have good experience with these ones.
    Can anyone give us advice about two things.
    1) Is there a way to fill the empty fields in BBP_PDATT so that existing contract will work properly again?
    2) Does anyone know why this problem occurs and how to fix it for new contracts?
    Hope to hear from you,

  • Problem with attaching files to mail message

    Hello,
    I have problem with my mail app. I'm using spaces for better organization. When I wanna add some file to mail message I usually go to different desktop (space), where I have the file I wanna attach. I grab it move to right up corner to activate spaces, than move to desktop (space) with mail.app and press spacebar (it activates the desktop immediately). At that time it also start random app, which is in my dock.
    You can see it in my youtube video.
    How can avoid this strange thing happen?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUypUnPHZvc
    I'm using MacBook Pro 15'', Snow Leopard - latest updates. I've reinstalled my mac two days ago, so no garbage should be in.

    Thanks for quick reply.
    I don't have selected "always..." so I also tried it with selected "always...".
    Now I discovered that it has nothing to do with the mail. I've tried just move some file from one of spaces (desktop) to another using the spacebar for faster switching and it did the same. It opens random app from Dock.
    So now this topic is in wrong discussion. I will post it to correct discussion...

  • Forms/Designer 10g - problem with attached libraries

    I've problem with forms with attached libraries. All of libraries have removed paths. I can run all forms without any problem on my local application server from Forms Builder 9i or Designer 9i. I added all paths in registry FORMS90_PATH. WORKINGDIRECTORY in formsweb.cfg is blank.
    Unfortunately I can't do it with Developer 10g on second workstation. I added all paths in registry FORMS_PATH. WORKINGDIRECTORY in formsweb.cfg is blank too. When form is running I get ORA-06508. I can't store all files (fmb, fmx, pll, plx etc.) in one folder because I've to use CVS. In this case I can't set any folder in WORKINGDIRECTORY.

    Assuming Forms 10.1.2.x, FMX, MMX, PLX, and OLB files are found based on the value of FORMS_PATH which is set in default.env and not the Registry. This applies to runtime only. The Builder uses the Registry.
    Understand that "runtime" refers to any time a form is displayed in a browser, regardless of whether is was started from the Builder or Application Server.
    Also, be aware that if you have FMX, MMX, or PLX files which were created in older versions they must be recompiled using the 10.1.2 compiler.

  • Problem with attaching file to Sales Order

    Hello,
    In my company we have the possibility to attach files to sales orders, e.g. pdf files with the printing details.
    These files are added by the GUI user, this works fine.
    Now we have an extra order creation stream in which a pdf file has to be added to the SO without user interaction.
    I found a helpful link ( /people/rammanohar.tiwari/blog/2005/10/10/generic-object-services-gos--in-background )
    This program creates URL links with no problem, but the file generation is not implemented yet.
    I tried to add the file functions to his sample report but still have one problem. The file is uploaded, but not reported as a PDF file in sap. If I select the created attachment SAP allows only the saving of the attachment. After saving the created file is a good PDF file, it opens with PDF-viewers.
    Why does SAP not know this is a PDF file and report it as such (and open the pdf viewer when selected).
    Thanks, Frank.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the SDN Forums!!!
    You need to supply the PC file extension in the container element 'DOCUMENTTYPE'.
    swc_set_element lt_message_container 'DOCUMENTTYPE' p_msgtyp.
    In your case change the above statement as below:
    swc_set_element lt_message_container 'DOCUMENTTYPE' 'pdf'.
    <b>OR</b> change the default value of p_msgtyp to 'PDF'.

  • Problem with attachment using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

    Hi,
    I'm using function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send emails from SAP (to Outlook - but the problem can already be observed when checking the email attachment in transaction SOST) with attachments.
    My attachment is a tab delimited file (so that I can open with MS Excel) with a line size of approx. 1600 characters. I mean, concatenating all fields of the output table into a 1600 character field, separated by tabstops (cl_abap_char_utilities=>horizontal_tab)
    I am using function module SCMS_STRING_TO_FTEXT to convert the internal table that I want to send to the line size as accepted by function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1, tables parameter contents_bin. Due to function module SCMS_STRING_TO_FTEXT this happens line by line, using a string variable. I make sure to remove any exess blanks that appear in the process due to not completey filled character fields. And for all rows bar the first the string is prefixed with (cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf). I believe that's required so that SAP knows to put the lines back together. So far so good.
    When checking the email's attachment via SOST (and the same happens in Outlook) there are extra blanks in certain fields. Like:
    Annual Base
    92,928.         00
    or
    Email
    First L ast
    In debugging it appears that these excess spaces (sometimes 1, sometimes several) appear where the 1600 character data line is split into the 255 character pieces in 'contents_bin'. But then it happens quite randomly and cannot be observed in all data rows.
    Is there a better way of splitting my internal table into 255 character chunks so that what is one field will never get split up into two rows. For the above example, the two fields would show like this in contents_bin
    ....  92,928.
    00
    and
    First_L
    ast
    Or where else lies the problem?
    Thanks in advance!
    Philipp

    Ron,
    Thank you for the suggestion. Just tried but issue remains exactly the same. The function module you have suggested builds the table in the same way.
    But, after a few more rounds of debugging and scratching my head it occured to me that my problem is self inflicted. I was using the condense statement in an attempt to get rid of the trailing blanks at the end of a row causing the last column to be filled with lots of spaces at the end. But it wasn't working anyway and I have since inserted a dummy column at the end to take all those trailing blanks. What this condense statement did though was creating trailing blanks in some of those rows with 255 characters fixed length and those trailing blanks then showed up as additional blanks in some columns in the attachment that the emailing function module created by putting those lines back to it's original length of close to 1600 characters.
    Problem solved!
    Regards,
    Philipp

  • Having Problems with attached JPEGs being Embedded with Outlook XP Clients

    Hi...
    I have been having problems now for quite some time in relation to this issue... I send a PDF a Zipped file with no problems... but if I send an email with my signature and a JPEG attached, I'm regularly getting clients back saying that I haven't attached any of the photos they requested.... which in reality I have... but they seem to arrive in an embedded format on their end. I then end up having to send again using Gmail which successfully deliver the email plus attachments.
    I have the "Always Send Windows Friendly Attachments" feature checked but yet it keeps happening.... I think it could have something to do with my signatures... so I have re-made this on a few occasions deleting any spaces after so that it's as clean as I can get it.... but the problem doesn't go away...
    Has anyone experienced this issue before and if so... is there a work around.. or is it just something silly I'm not doing correctly in my settings...
    Yours sincerely,
    Anthony
    Irish MacUser and MacAddict

    Anthony,
    Your problem is being caused by the use of Rich Text Format, and having more than one font, or more than one color/size for the same font. This problem is well known, and there are many topics about it. The problem arises in the situation described above because the RTF is being converted to HTML, and with the HTML and inline attachments, Outlook and Outlook Express are well noted to not interpret it correctly. Other email clients do not have the same issues with it.
    Simply use Plain Text both in the body and in the Signature, place the attachments after everything else, including the Signature, and all will be well. This has nothing to do with Windows Friendly.
    The reason there has to be two or more font combinations, is that will only one, Mail will convert it to Plain Text automatically.

  • Problems with Attachment location in Mail

    I am using mail in Mountain Lion and whenever I forward or reply to an email and add an attachment it puts the attachment all the way at the bottom of the page.  It doesn't matter where the cursor is, which is what I'm used to being the indicator as to where the attachment goes, it just puts it at the bottom of the page regardless.  I have to cut the original forwarded message, back the attachment up to the message I typed, and then enter down and paste the original message back in it.  It doesn't make sense, I'm around 50 Mac computers daily and mine is the only one that is doing this...
    Thanks in advance!

    I'm on a tower running 10.6.8 and have had this problem for months. Any help would be great!

  • Problem with attachment saving to db

    Hi,
    I've encountered the following problem when writing a small app. to receive e-mails and subsequently storing them in a database.
      private  void handlePart(Part part) throws IOException, MessagingException {
             String disposition = part.getDisposition();
             if (disposition == null) { //body
                // do something dull
             } else if (disposition.equalsIgnoreCase(Part.ATTACHMENT)) {
                  try {
                     saveAttachmentToDB(part.getFileName(), part.getInputStream(), part.getSize());
                 } catch (SQLException e) {
                     System.err.print("SQL Error: ");
                     System.err.println(e.getMessage());
                     System.exit(-1);
             } else if (disposition.equalsIgnoreCase(Part.INLINE) && part.getSize()>9) {
               // do something to store to db
         }and
    public void saveAttachmentToDB(String filename, InputStream input, int size)
          throws IOException, SQLException {
            PreparedStatement pstmt;
            String Query = "insert Attachment VALUES(?,?)";
            pstmt = con.prepareStatement(Query);
            pstmt.setString(1, filename);
            pstmt.setBinaryStream(2, input, size); //method to insert a stream of bytes
            pstmt.executeUpdate();
          }Now the problem is that upon exection the system hangs on the first insert.
    Probably this is because the size aint right...
    I've tried it using different attachments, like MS Word documents, plain textfiles. Is this the way to do this?
    Or must I use a DataHandler object, but if the latter is true can someone pinpoint me to a good tutorial on datahandlers.
    I rewrote the former code using a part.WriteTo() writing to a ByteArrayOutPutstream --> converting that stream to a ByteArrayInputStream and calling setBinaryStream on that using the size of ByteArrayOutputStream.
    If I did this the system wouldn't hang but it wrote the contentHeader and the body to the database. The body would than be in Base64 format, wich is not what I want... Please can somebody set me on the right track here?
