Problem with attachments

Hi
We have a lot of problems with new webaccess.
We cannot open attachments ?
We cannot save attachments. It is possible to save, but all attachments are 22kb long.
We cannot display images....
It looks like we have an early beta product.
Any ideas ?

  • Problem with attachments and antivirus.scanners

    Hi!
Problem is: Sending any attachment from Tiger (10.4.8) mail, all attachments are removed by a virus scanner at receiving end:
This message was modified by F-Secure Anti-Virus E-Mail Scanning.
Tried Windows friendly, text only, repair permissions, sending under other isp etc. no help.
If this same message with same attachment is send from next mac with Panther, it is received ok.
Receiving company is big and wont alter their virus-scanners and the problem clearly lies in Tiger.
    Any help welcome.

The subject of your message should have been "Problems with attachments and F-Secure antivirus" since this is not a problem with all antivirus software, only with F-Secure.
Check this thread for a possible temporary solution when sending attachments to those who use F-Secure.

  • Problems with attachments - where is my content?

    Hi all!
I've got a problem with my attachment in the shopping cart. We have implement a function, where the user is able to sent an email with an attachment from the shopping cart.
If the user, who added the attachment to the shopping cart will send the email, the field PHIO_CONTENT in the table ATTACH in the shopping cart structure BBPS_SC_APP_DOCUMENT is filled an i can attach these data to the email.
But when the shopping cart will be transfered to another user during the approval worklflow, the field PHIO_CONTENT is emtpy. All other data is already existing (like PHIO_OBJID). I've got the URL to the document too (field DISP_URL = http://sapdb01.XXX.XXXXXXX.de:8000/sap/ebp/docserver/Zellen%25252Exls?phioget&KpId=DDAB1A80829CEFF1B402001A4B4A73D6&KpClass=BBP_P_DOC&sap-client=010).
Does anybody knows why the data (field PHIO_CONTENT) will not by stored in the shopping cart? Is it neccessay to load the file from doc-server? If so, how can I read the files from the document server?
    Thank you for help!
    Greetings, Florian

    Hello Florian,
I have a similar assignment where I need to send e-mail with attachments from the SC. The attachemnts can be in varius formats, i.e. DOC, XLS, TXT etc.  I wonder how do you handle the attachments?  I read the attachments using  BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL and send e-mail using class cl_document_bcs. The content of the attachemnts are in binary format and receipient can't open them.
    Thanks

  • Problems with attachments going corrupt from Mail in the dock when sending?

I have had my Mac G5 Tower at home now for a couple of years now and have always had a problem with sending attachments to any one from my .mac account with mail in the dock.
The error massage people would tell they were getting from the files that I attached were (The file is damaged and cold not be repaired). I also tried emailing the same attachment to my self and got the same results.
I always got around this at home by emailing the attachments via web .mac account from apple’s web site this is not an ideal solution.
Using the same .mac account and mail from the dock on my Mac at work no problems at all.
I thought by upgrading from panther to tiger that this would help, I am still having the same trouble.
    Can anyone out there help.
    Thanks

    Dual 1.8 Ghz PowerPC G5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Thank you Justin for your response.  Sorry for the delay in responding.   I have been unable to log in to my forum account since the first time even though I'd verified my user name, reset the password (everything I could think of).   Many hours (literally) on hold with almost every support department at Verizon hasn't resolved the login problem...so I've created a new username with my other email address.   I know that creating a new account probably isn't the kosher solution, but my frustration level with Verizon phone suport on this has gone over the top as no one department seems to claim any knowledge of how to help with forum issues and passes me off to somewhere else.
I am using IE 7.0.   I only have the problem when I am viewing my emails via the Verizon webmail.  When I download the emails to Outlook on my desktop, there are no problems.   In webmail, if I have an email showing in the preview pane that has links and I click on that email (in the preview pane), the linked website opens and I can't close it or do anything else.   I can't even switch to viewing other emails in my inbox in the preview pane.      I can right click on the email showing in the preview pane and select to open in a new window, but if I left click the link activates right there in the preview pane.

  • Importing from Eudora problems - html messages being displayed in plain text and problems with attachments

    Hello,
I hope you can help me. I've imported all my emails from Eudora into Outlook 2010 but I have a couple of problems.
All emails that I've imported which had attachments with them have a notice on them saying the attachment has been blocked. I can always browse to the folder whereb my old attachments are stored, but this is still inconvenient.
Secondly, all my messages that I've sent in the past (html) are being displayed in plain text, which is making them difficult to read because of all the html tags being displayed.
Also with emails that I've sent in the past- there is no record of any attachments being sent with messages which I know had attachments with them.
Any ideas? I've trawled google and had no luck except finding programs that cost $70 that can import everything properly.
    David

    David:
I know this is a very old thread, but did you every figure out a way to fix the formatting of imported Eudora mail?
I just "upgraded" from Eudora to Outlook 2010 ...
and have 10 years worth of HTML formatted e-mail that now shows up as plain text with embedded html formatting ...
apparently it is a long-running problem that has roots in the way Eudora formats messages ...
Outlook and other e-mail clients all seems to have issues with importing and do not properly recognize HTML-formatted messages from Eudora ... very sad that I can no longer really "read" my old e-mail at this point ...  :-(

Same problem over at Mozilla going back 10+ years ... not sure if they fixed it..........

  • Misc problems with attachments

    Hello,
Just wanted to check with community about 2 pbms I have with Lion mail attachments (I already reported them)
1/ when removing an attachment from an incoming email, in 3 column view, the attachment is properly removed but the message disappears from the message list. I have to click on another mailbox, then back on the previous one, email is back with attachent removed. (I thought I suppressed the message the first time)
2/ with previous version, I was able to remove attachments from both incoming and outgoing messages, now I cannot do it with outgoing messages, menu item is greyed out ...
Anybody sees the same thing ? is it just me ?
    Thks. Pierre.

Firefox does not do email, but there are enough users here that someone might be able to help you anyway, if you indicated what web based email you are using and how you are attempting to add the attachment. And when it stopped working, if you can improve on that statement. What is the file extension of the attachment.
Looks like you provided the exact wording on the message so Googling that including the enclosing quotes. Seems to show the number 1 answer comes from Yahoo answers -- so for maybe they have the biggest problem the example will assume it is yahoo, though they all have these same two problems. Such problems often occur more frequently when the website makes major changes or when Firefox comes out with an updated version. I think Yahoo changed their site they wanted me to update to the new whatever.

    * clear your cookies should be clear your Yahoo cookies.
    *# Tools > Options > Privacy

*# try clearing the mail.yahoo.com cookies, if that doesn't work try extending the range within yahoo's cookies.

Yahoo provides good picture documentation on their site and better and safer than Mozilla's support example for Firefox (which requires you to read carefully or end up destroying all of your history), but I think my picture above is better as it shows both panels side by side. But you might want to the the same for other browsers from their documentation as well.

  • Problem with attachments automatically saving as Firefox documents

As my older Dell CPU does NOT have any USB ports, a friend of mine is uploading photos to her laptop with Windows 7 (my computer is running XP) but when she goes to save and attach them to Yahoo! emails sent to me, the photos themselves are completely visible within the body of those emails; attempts I make to save them to my desktop result in their being strictly Firefox documents opening a new FF window every time. While I CAN view them with the Windows photo viewer by specifying it, they still CANNOT be attached/uploaded or are visible within upload windows even after adding the .jpeg file extension and quotes as instructed.....I'm not sure if the issue lies with Windows 7 and her configuration of the attachment mechanism, Firefox and/or Yahoo! conflicts or a combination of everything. Please advise; never had this problem before now!

Ask your friend with the Win 7 OS to zip the images before she sends them to you. Also, she needs to add them as an attachment, not by dragging and dropping them into a mail.
By the way, when you say your 'cpu' doesn't have any USB ports, are you talking about a laptop, or a PC?

  • Mail 2 File scenario - problems with attachments in file receiver

    Hi experts,
I want to receive PDF documents via email and send them thru file adapter. Now I have some trouble with the attachments. I have configured my mailsender as follows:
    localejbs/AF_Modules/PayloadSwapBean    TRANSFORM
    sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean    mail
    Modules:
    TRANSFORM       swap.keyName   Content-Disposition
    TRANSFORM     swap.keyName     Content-Description
    TRANSFORM       swap.keyValue     MailAttachment-1
    TRANSFORM       swap.keyValue     attachment;filename="MailAttachment-1.pdf"
Now what modules do I have to use in my file receiver when I want to write the PDF-attachment to my directory? I already tried a lot and referred to many blogs but nothing really worked. I only get my header information in the output file.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.
    Oliver.

  • Problems with attachments.  Receivers say they arrive corrupt on Windows

    Hi,
When I send attachments in txt, doc, rtf, or zip format, the receiver says he cannot open the files and they are corrupt. Can tell me what I am doing wrong? It does not seem to effect pdf files though.

I'm not sure you answered all my questions so I'll try again.
    > I save them as rtf, txt, or doc files and attach them after I type the message.
Does this mean you are you including the file extension with all attached files such as Document.doc or Document.txt?
I have about 12 e-mail accounts in Mac Mail.
Does this mean one or several of the 12 or so email accounts is provided by your internet service provider used for connecting to the internet? Are you sending these messages with an email account and SMTP server that is provided by your internet service provider?
If you are accessing an email account and SMTP server that is provided by your ISP and you are not sending these messages with your ISP's email account, try selecting/using your ISP's SMTP server to send messages with the non-ISP email account to see if using your ISP's SMTP server makes any difference.
    > I also use an automated sig. for the accounts.
Does this mean you are adding/placing all attachment below ALL message text including your signature?
    > Any circumvention that can be recommended?
Besides everything else that I've already provided, are you using RTF or Plain Text for message composition?
If you are using RTF for message composition, try using Plain Text instead is a good first start.

  • Problems with attachments to mails (with browser firefox)

    Dear Sir or Madam,
I can't attach files (even small ones) to my mails sent with firefox anymore. I always receive these words: "Bad Request - Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand." WHY?? Before, it worked without any problems. I want to stay with firefox! Please, answer me. Thank you very much in advance. MB

  • Problems with Attachments in hotmail messages

When I try to attach a file into hotmail message, nothing happens and I lose the icons showing attachment options.  In addition the email states that the attachment ID has a bad format.  This problem just surfaced this week.  Never had this in the past year and a half!

This can happen if your Silverlight plugin gets out of date.  Note MacBook Pro is a notebook, and Mac Pro is a desktop.

  • TS1506 I have just got a Mac Book Pro after 30 years of using Msoft products and now find a (in my opinion) a piddling issue with attachments in Mail - Apple - just fix it.

After over forty years in IT I am actually a platform agnostic however I have come to expect some developmental maturity across all products, especially in generally ubiquitous apps such as email.  I am using OS X 10.8.3 on a 2013 build Mac Book Pro and am very happy overall. Is Apple planning on fixing the various problems with Attachments in Mail or are they relying on third party fixes and workarounds?

My apologies if I have caused offence, not my intention.  I was unable to view attachements but have since discovered an addon app which solves the problem very neatly.  By way of explanation my frustration comes from Apple appearing to indulge in client lock in as do Microsoft  - this practice was "invented" by IBM and only served to irritate clients and inspire excellent work arounds by third parties - much the same as I notice with Apple.  I thought Apple would have outgrown this after the IIe vs BBC but I see this is not the case.  I have recently upgraded to Mavericks and have no problems with Mail but am now unable to transfer material from Mac Pro to Ipod unless I use the icloud - something I do not want to do for a variety of reasons, not the least being able to transfer MY data without the use of an unsecured transition area.  I am very happy with the quality of the Mac Pro but less than happy with the restrictive practices of Apple; I realise Microsoft have similar practises but they are not as completely disruptive to what are generally simple operations commonly required when using computers.
My thanks to all the others who reponded - this is my first foray into the world of forums and I will continue to learn the rules.

    Hi ,
There is an option of embedding index for faster search while converting email to a PDF .
However I am not sure that will serve your purpose or not .

Meanwhile I'll work on it and get back to you in case I get a desired solution .

Can you drag and drop the attachments visible in the email to the Desktop OK or does that fail ?
Re the sending: Are these recipients on Mac's or PC's as the file type could be an issue, if on Mac's then try setting the Mail Preferences Composing setting to Plain Text not Rich Text and see if that improves things.
