  • Problem with changing Label in Bridge CS3 and CS6

    Hi there,
    I am having some problem with changing Label in Bridge CS3 and CS6 in windows.
    1. In Bridge CS3 (Windows XP), most of the time with most of the files, there is no problem. But I found that in some files, the Label does not get changed. I usually change Label by right clicking on the picture, then Label and select any Label. When I do so in those files, nothing happens. But when I rename the file by changing or adding just a single character, then it works. And if I again rename to original name, it still works. But without renaming the Label does not change. Again this does not happen with all pictures, but occationally with some. We usually receive pictures from different clients for editing purpose.
    2. In Bridge CS6 (Windows 7), if you create lot of Path using Pen tool in Photoshop for the purpose of removing background, you save the file, close, and change Label in Bridge, again open the file in Photoshop, you see no Path in the Path Pallette. So that means, changing Label works, but it removes the Path from the file. But if there is small amount of path, then no prboblem. But if there is lot of path, like you need to create for a necklace to remove background, then the problem arises.
    I am using Bridge for a purpose where it is very helpful so I really need to use Bridge, and Labeling feature is the most important to me, but after feaguring out this problem, I am really tensed as to whether or not I will find a solution to this. So any help, guidance will really be appreciated.
    Thanks very much in advance for any solution.
    Best regards

    I have re-checked the issue and I found that the problem is with JPG file.
    I wasn't even aware you could save a path to a jpeg file (always use PSD because of wanting to keep the Alpha Channel, jpeg only can contain 1 layer and no alpha channels and/or transparency).
    However I tried it on a file with a simple path and one with a complex path. It seems indeed you have found a bug. The simple path is no problem but the more complex path is indeed disappearing.
    It is not only label but also rate or adding IPTC in the description field. The moment metadata is saved to this jpeg file and reopened the earlier present work path of a more complex path is gone.
    Despite the fact that to my opinion a jpeg is not the most suitable file format for saving a work path this should not happen. If a work path is saved to a jpeg then it should be kept saved after just altering metadata in Bridge.
    It still is the same behavior in Bridge CC because that is what I use. Don't know when it started but it still needs to be repaired

  • Problem with field label

    Hello All,
    I am having a strange problem with field label? I have created a table with three fields one is MANDT and and the remaining fields as PATID and PATNA.
    I am maintaining the field label for these fields, but still i am not getting the names of the fields while i am calling the structure in my alv tree.
    I d'nt know what is the problem here?
    can any one tell me how can i solve this issue?
    Regards,
    Lisa

    Hi lisa,
    This is not the problem with Data Dictionary,
    While declaring the fieldcatalogue for thr GRID.
    CALL FUNCTION 'LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE'
    EXPORTING
      I_BUFFER_ACTIVE              =
       I_STRUCTURE_NAME             = 'ZTABLE'
      I_CLIENT_NEVER_DISPLAY       = 'X'
      I_BYPASSING_BUFFER           =
      CHANGING
        ct_fieldcat                  = gt_fieldcat
    EXCEPTIONS
      INCONSISTENT_INTERFACE       = 1
      PROGRAM_ERROR                = 2
      OTHERS                       = 3
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
            WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    If gt_fieldcat-fieldname = 'PATID'.
    gs_fieldcat-ref_field = 'ZTABLE'.
    modify gt_fieldcat from gs_fieldcat.
    clear gs_fieldcat.
    endif.
    Because while calling the FM it is populatinh the fieldname
    so you need to modify the fieldcatalogue with fieldname then it will pick the field labels from the Dictionary.
    Hope this  will solve your problem.

  • Wacky problem with Frame label

    I have a menu set up with three items. Menu item one has
    "gotoAndPlay("video"), menu item two has
    "gotoAndPlay("somethinghere") etc...
    My menu items two and three always jump to the correct frame
    label. I am having a problem with the first menu item.
    When you click through the menu items slowly, content loads
    in correctly, but it seems that if you click different menu items
    too fast, the first menu item jumps back the main timeline to frame
    1. My menu is inside of a movieclip. This is where my frame labels
    are.
    Has anyone ever seen an issue like this before or know how to
    prevent this wacky behavior?

    use the goto methods, not functions:
    _root.gotoAndPlay("video");

  • Basic Problems with Attributes and Data Loading

    Hi Specialists,
    I have a basic understanding Problem. I will explain it with a simple Example. I have to load Employee-Data from a file. For each Employee we have
    EmployeeNo
    EmployeeName
    EmployeeLanguage
    My Modelling:
    1 InfoObject Employee, with EmployeeNo as Key and EmployeeName as Text. For the EmployeeLanguage I create an additional InfoObject, in order to have an Attribute EmployeeLanguage at the InfoObject Employee. So far so good (I think).
    What kind of DataSources have I to create?? It is necessary to load the possible Languages first?? If yes, what kind of DS I have to choose, for loading only "English", "German", "Dutch". Attribute? Text?
    If not, the loading process is not possible, because one language exists more than one time in my flat file.
    Hope you can help me to see it clear.
    Thanks.
    Denise

    Hi Denise,
    I don't think you have to load all possible languages first. This is only necessary if you also want to load texts for EmployeeLanguage (example language german with texts "german", "deutsch", ...).
    Specify Employee as data target (in tab Master Data / Texts) and assign your InfoArea. There you will find your targets for texts and attributes, now create InfoSource for your file and assign update rules for both texts and attributes.
    Best regards,
    Björn

  • JSTL Problem with attribute names

    (Sorry for double posting. I've asked this question on javaranch, but did not get any answer. So I hope you can help me.)
    The values I pass (request.setAttribute etc.) from my servlet to my JSP pages have often dots in their names like "my.variable" (Assume for the following that my.variable justs holds the String "hello").
    I want to use <c:out > to print the value of "my.variable". Obviously the naming scheme collides with the expression language ("my" is not an object and certainly does not have the getter getVariable). Is there a way to work around this problem?

    What? Why do you consider it a bad way? It's the only
    naming scheme I know!
    It's pretty straight forward to use the package name
    to make your attribute names unique. See either Struts
    or Java Petstore (org.apache.struts.Globals or
    com.sun.j2ee.blueprints.waf.controller.web.util.WebKeys
    as an example.Btw those Globals and WebKeys, are static finals or constants.
    this is something completely different, and if you would really look good in stead of refusing some friendly advice you'll see that indeed the packages are separated with a . and the variables are with a _
    so calm down and try to listen what we say.
    If you give to java a x.y he'll thing y is a method of x or that y is a class in the package x
    ok?
    greetings

  • Native C++ metod, problem with attributes declared in other meth of Class

    Hi guys, I have an interesting question for you.
    I have a big C++ program, with many classes and methods..., and a java program which uses one of the methods(for the moment!) of a class.I compiled the java program, created a .h file, changed a little bit the C++ program with JNI functions...ok i stop talking, this is my C++ piece of program:
    JNIEXPORT jobject JNICALL
    Java_ProjectionType_setProjectionType(JNIEnv *env, jobject obj, jstring
    projectionType,jstring mapState){
    const char *str =(env)->GetStringUTFChars(mapState,0);
    if (mapState == NoMap) {
    reportError ("setProjectionType failed, no active map image");
    return false;
    if (mapState == MapDrawing) {
    reportError ("setProjectionType failed, drawing already started");
    return false;
    env->ReleaseStringUTFChars(mapState,str);
    // Check the projection type
    const char *sti =env->GetStringUTFChars(projectionType,0);
    if (projectionType < Orthographic ||
    projectionType > PolarSouth) {
    reportError ("setProjectionType failed, invalid projection type");
    return false;
    mapProjectionType = projectionType;
    switch (mapProjectionType) {
    case Orthographic:
    viewportLeft = -180.0;
    viewportRight = 180.0;
    viewportTop = 90.0;
    viewportBottom = -90.0;
    break;
    case PolarNorth:
    viewportLeft = -90.0;
    viewportRight = 90.0;
    viewportTop = -90.0;
    viewportBottom = 90.0;
    break;
    case PolarSouth:
    viewportLeft = -90.0;
    viewportRight = 90.0;
    viewportTop = 90.0;
    viewportBottom = -90.0;
    break;
    return true;
    env->ReleaseStringUTFChars(projectionType,sti);
    I think this is quite correct~. But here is my problem: all the attributes that I declared in other methods, such as NoMap, MapDrawing..., seem to be undeclared.
    (The C++ program itself worked fine!)
    Here is an example of the error messages I encountered:
    `NoMap' undeclared (first use this function)
    What do I have to do to make it declared?
    Any answer willbe welcome
    Philippe

    You haven't given enough information for someone to see what is going wrong. However I suspect you may have a couple of problems.
    1. You should realize that what you have written is a subroutine, not a method. It is not part of any object declaration.
    2. You refer to "attributes I declared in other methods...". This sounds mixed up to me. What other methods of what?
    3. Watch out. When you get to actually trying to run this from java, you will probably get linkage erros. I assume the code you posted is in a cpp file. You need to declare that you want C linkage; otherwise the compiler generates code that java can't understand.

  • Problem with simple label program

    I'm getting a problem to a most basic program. I'm using the Java2 Fast And Easy Web Start book. This simple label program gives me an error when I compile. This is the program
    //Label Program
    //Danon Knox
    //Another basic program
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.applet.*;
    public class Label extends Applet{
      public void init(){
       Label firstlabel = new Label();
       Label secondlabel = new Label("This is the second label");
    //put the labels on the applet
      add(firstlabel);
      add(secondlabel);
    }// end init
    }// end appleterror when I compile is as follows:
    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
    C:\>cd java
    C:\java>javac Label.java
    Label.java:12: cannot resolve symbol
    symbol : constructor Label (java.lang.String)
    location: class Label
    Label secondlabel = new Label("This is the second label");
    ^
    1 error
    C:\java>
    Can anyone help me?

    public class Label extends Applet{The name of your class is "Label". This choice of name hides the class named "Label" in java.awt.
    Label firstlabel = new Label();This creation of a Label is successful because the class has a default, no-argument constructor.
    Label secondlabel = new Label("This is the second label");And this one fails because there is no constructor for Label that takes a String argument.
    You probably want firstlabel and secondlabel to be java.awt.Label objects and not instances of your own Label class. Try this:
    public class Label extends java.applet.Applet{
        public void init(){
         java.awt.Label firstlabel = new java.awt.Label();
         java.awt.Label secondlabel =
             new java.awt.Label("This is the second label");
         add(firstlabel);
         add(secondlabel);
    }As a general remark, I advise programmers to stay away from
    import a.b.*;statements which import entire packages into your program namespace.
    When starting out, I believe it is better to write out the fully qualified names ot the classes and methods you are working with. This helps you learn the class hierarchy, and makes your code clearer.
    Others will disagree, but that's my opinion...

  • Problems with Value Labels in Stacked Bar Chart

    Post Author: RGR
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    When choosing a stacked bar chart to display the contribution of 2 values to the overall total, the graph plots correctly, but the value labels are incorrect.  Instead of labeling the values for A & B, the graph is appropriately labeled for A ,but the label for B is the total for A+B.  It should be just "B".
    Has anyone else experienced this problem or has a solution.  I am using CR 2008

    I have this issue a lot with CR XI.  As I have never used CR 2008, I am not sure of the commands.  But in CR XI, right click on the graph and select Chart Options.  On the Data Labels tab, at the bottom there are two options: Cumulative and Absolute.  It defaults to Cumulative, so change to Absolute.  That always works for me.

  • Problems with attribute types, need help!

    Hi, everyone! I have a problem. In the first time I have an attribute Number in DB. I use this attribute in JDeveloper form. But now I need that this attribute be with type VARCHAR2(30). I changed DB, after that changed Entity object in JDeveloper to VARCHAR2(30), but now when I try to save record and wrote this attribute as cat&dog (VARCHAR2(30)), there are error: it is not a number.
    WHY it is so? What else I need to change?
    BEST REGARDS

    Make sure that your change has propagated all the way to the corresponding ViewObject.
    If it has not you can manually assign the attribute to the correct data type by editing the specific ViewObject attribute in the editor's Overview panel

    Hi everybody,
    I run OBIEE reports on top of EssBase 9.3 ASO cube.
    My cube has 8 regular dimensions and 10 attribute dimensions.

    Hi Glenn,
    I though that the reason might be the crossjoin with a very large set. The main dimension in this query has ~40000 members.
    Is there in EssBase MDX some analog for NONEMPTYCROSSJOIN() function that exists in MSAS?
    As these two attributes belong to the dimension that is used in the query, for every member of the dimension, there is one and only one member of each attribute. Therefore I though that Essbase should "know" how to behave.
    Thanks for an idea. I will try to increase the space for aggregation - hope this will help...
