Problem with audio from speaker at bottom

I have looked around the net and found several other people have had this issue, but want to know more about possible fixes.
My iPhone 4 has an issue where the audio from the speaker on the bottom of the phone disappears. Randomly. It could be during a youtube video, or a game, or even just using the phone itself. If I leave the phone for a few minutes and come back to it, when I play a game or video, the audio returns.
Initially the audio did not come back. And I restored the phone thinking that may help. But it didn't.
So, has this happened to anyone else? Has anyone got an idea on how to fix this. Volume controls and mute switch all checked. I can't explain how it's happening or how to fix it.
Any thoughts?

well an update, im realizing that only one clip out of the 3 clips is where the audio doesnt work. of course its the main clip with everything i need on it. when i import the other 2 clips into pp the audio meter icon show on them and audio plays fine. on the main clip its light purple and no audio meter indicating no audio. but like i said i can play it fine and hear the audio perfect outside of pp. all 3 were clips were shot at same time at same settings. Major Problem with audio from Final Cut to DVd Studio Pro

I am posting this problem again because no further responses have been received regarding my first post. I purchased an MR-HD100 Firestore device from Focus Enhancements. When I use clips from it alone or with other clips created by digitizing from min DV tape on a sequence or timeline the audio works fine in Final Cut. When I import any type of file and believe me I have been trying all kinds of suggestions and wasting almost a dozen DVDs. Whether it be a Final Cut QT file, going straight to compressor and producing an MPEG-2 file and a dolby audio file .ac3 importing them into DVD SP and making the adjustments that MR. Harbsmeier suggested DIAL NORM at -31dbfs and COMPRESSION MODE to NONE, as well as the suggestion to make an aif file with the audio and importing it into DVD SP as well as the video. I get the same result with every try, the clips made with the firestore are so low you cannot hear them. NOTHING WORKS!!!!. And yes I have tried making a DVD with just digitized footage and yes it turned out fine. I called Apple support today and that gentlemen basically told me I am out of warranty so phone help was not available. However, he made a suggestion of changing sequence presets in Final Cut which has now developed into another problem. I have messed up my settings so bad I don't know where I am I can't LOG & CAPTURE in the manner I used to ???? Could someone please advise as to why this problem exists and the correction to resolve it. I do not understand why the audio works fine playing the sequence on the timeline in Final Cut. It plays fine after making a Final Cut QT file. AND it plays fine in simulation mode in DVD Studio Pro. However after you burn a DVD the audio from the firestore clips are not to be heard unless you crank up the speakers or TV to it's maximum level and you can barely make it out. Try building the project to your desktop and then open the Video_TS in the Mac DVD player application.
How does it play/sound? This application is the best way to see and hear how your burned DVD should play vs. just using simulator and burning.
Just to clarify- are you taking your FC QT file into Compressor and creating a MPG-2 and AC3 file or are you bringing your FC QT directly into DSP?
What codec are you exporting from FC? ProRes422, DV, H264?
Open the FC QT in QT and apple+I to see this.

I have Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum eX and I have e big problem with the sound . When I watch dvd from my comp I want my receiver (a pioneer) to handle the sound, so when I choose that my player should let an externel receiver handle the sound (enable S/PDIF output) the sound get's all **bleep**d up.
The receiver reconize that it is dts or dolby for example but some movies nothins comes out and some others it comes out second sound every 0 seconds. But the image is fine. Help me plz.

My problem is not only dvds I also download some stuff with 5. sound that's the thing......
anyway, I've tried different rates and still it's not working, Now I'm wondering if it's my players, because I've tried with VLC, BS player, Windows MP......with NO improvment. Something else I can do?
What rate should I have, 96 or 48? from AudioHQ I mean.

Problems with Audio from Canon SD1000

Hi,
I've been taking a lot of video lately with my Canon SD1000 and I'd like to edit it with titles and effects. It's a point and shoot still picture camera, but it takes pretty decent video.
I import my clips to iMovie HD, everything is fine, they play. The problem comes when I add titles to the clips. This causes the audio on the clip to be replaced by this put put put sound.
I then tried editing on Quicktime Pro and it also didn't like the clips.
I tried using Mpeg Streamclip to turn the AVI's from the Canon SD1000 into...well I tried turning them into everything from Mpegs to DV files and everything in between. Still, like before, the audio works until I add titles to the clip.
Does anyone have an idea if the SD1000's movies are just incompatible with iMovie HD? Or is there some fix I can implement?

QuickTime expects video files with separate video and audio tracks, but many MPEG formats used a muxed (multiplexed) single track that contains both. Therefore, when you convert videos they only show the video and no sound since iMovie (really QuickTime) is not looking for the audio track within the video track and it gets lost.
One way that might be able to work around this is to use MPEG Streamclip to convert the files to fix this issue...

Windows 8.1 Problem with games from windows store.

I've got a problem with games from windows store. The installation is going well without any problems, however when I try to open it it's loading and then it turns off. The same problem happens when I try to use Games for Windows. I've use a sfc scan and
it shows some errors but unfortunately it cannot fix them. Should I share the CBS log or find the solution somewhere else? I hope you help, best regards.

According to my experience, the problem like store game app open failed probably caused by hardware driver. such as Audio and Graphic driver. So, first of all, please try to reinstall these two driver to fix this problem for test.
In addition, for SFC scan failed problem, it can be caused by many reasons, I would suggest you use another command to fix your system for test.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Also you can test SFC command in Windows 8.1 safe mode.
Thirdly, if problem persists, please check Event Viewer, generally speaking, it would record the app open failed events.

Problem with Audio MIDI Setup using multiple accounts

I'm having a problem with Audio MIDI Setup recognizing all of the MIDI devices on a G4 Tower with a non-administrator account. The main administrator account has no problem seeing anything, but the non-admin account won't see anything. Does it all have to be added in manually, or is there a preferences file to copy over that will take care of this. Failing that, is it a problem with file permissions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know whether this of any help, but there's an identifiable issue with AMS and Digital Performer 5 where DP5 simply won't load with AMS setups configured with previous versions of DP. Which is probably irrelevant to your problem, but ...
What I and other DP users have found we have to do is start with a completely new, blank AMS setup, and reconfigure our devices from scratch, and although this was kind of hit and miss and on the fly (don't really understand what the the issue was, exactly), I think the bottom line was if we used the new AMS setup with DP5 before anything else that might cause its data tables to change, we were ok.
So if you can do it, it might be worth setting AMS to a new blank template, then connecting your interfaces, see how far you get. And always make sure you've got the latest drivers of course, though I'm sure you've done that.
Never used Mbox or 410, but I've an Ozonic which I think uses the same M-Audio firewire drivers as the 410, and don't have any problem with that, FWIW.

Two problems with audio clips

Hello,
I'm having two problems with audio clips:
1. When I try to drag a clip from the viewer, I can't do it because it won't let me drag the clip. It only lets me drag the pointer around within the clip.
2. When I drag an audio clip from the browser into the timeline I don't get any audio, just a series of beeps (and yes, my audio media is on-line -- I can listen to it in the viewer, just not the timeline).
What am I doing wrong?

Problems with audio panning.

Am having problems with audio tracks. For example: when capturing a clip where a person is talking, there would be 2 tracks of audio - one a radio mic (Track 1) and another mic (Tack 2)capturing ambient sound. I often delete the ambient track (Track 2) and am left with the the main audio from a radio mic (Track 1).
The problem is when I open up the main audio track (Track 1) and pan the audio track from -1 to 0 or even to +1! It says it has done it but the sound still comes out of the left speaker.
It is a very recent problem that I wonder may be something to do with preferences or settings.
We have had no problems with the speakers at all.

You have your audio outputs set to 'dual mono', not 'stereo'.... go to:
Sequence>Settings> 'Audio Outputs' tab > then highlight the 'Stereo' button, then click OK...

Problem with Audio on HP Envy 6-1130sw (C6F62EA)

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with audio on my ultrabook HP Envy 6. Sometimes when I try to play music there are no low tones and music plays really silent... And then when I restart PC problem dissapears and music plays fine... I thought there is a problem with speakers, but when I connected 5.1 speakers there were also only high tones. Same thing happens on headphones. Is it a hardware problem or maybe software? Actually I use Windows 8.1 and drivers are up to date. If any one of you had same problem please post.

From what you have described, I think the best approach would be to restore the original IDT driver, restart the computer, test that driver, then install the driver update, and test the outcome of installing the newest driver.
Use the following link for instructions to recovery the ITD driver using Recovery Manager. Restoring applications and drivers.
Once the driver is restored, restart the computer and test the audio. If the audio is good you can continue to use this driver, or you can reinstall the update and see what happens. IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver.
If installing the newest driver causes the issue to occur but the recovered driver worked, I suggest recovering again.
If neither driver works I will gladly follow up and provide any assistance I can.
Please let me know the outcome.

I have a DELL Latitude d510 laptop with a centrino 1.73 GHz procesor and a soundcard supported by Sigmatel software Sigmatel C-Major audio.I bought MSI VOX TV BOX USB 2.0 and tried to install it on my lap top.Yes,I had problems with SP2 on my XP and the MSIVPS software from the instalation CD was crashing every time I tried to start it,but I solved those problems by downloading the latest drivers and the 3.xx version of MSIPVS.But...I still have a problem with audio.To be precise it seems that my audio drivers are incompatible with the VOX drivers.So now I have video but I don't have audio.Also I installed the tv card on my desktop machine and it worked like a charm(everything workes:audio,video,the old MSIPVS which I like better than the new one cause it supports my remote,has better way of managing scanned channels,e.t.c ,but I have USB 1.1 on my MB so the image quality is very poor).I did a lot of experimenting,for example i uninstaled my audio drivers(that Sigmatel C-Major thing),and installed the old MSIVPS and guess what...IT WORKED but there is no use from this cause I don't have audio On the other hand if I have everything installed then in the MSIVPS (the 3.xx version not the old one) under audio I get CD Player as an input audio device(what happened with microphone...?).To cut the long story short I tried a bunch of things and still no audio.Is there any other case of DELL audio software-VOX incompatibility?Any ideas,or solutions?

thank you for answering me. y have no pci card working, only usb 2.0 and sata devices. also, the MSI geforce 9600gt PExp 2.0 gpu. the only usb 2.0 devices which work, are the flash (pen) drives, keyboard and mouse. but no way that the WLAn adapter and TVcapture, both usb 2.0 work.i've tested them front side and rear side and is the same failure: if i use a pendrive, works ok. if i insert the wlan or the tv capture stop work as the 2.0 and a advertising window tell me to change to a 2.0 port, means the ports are working slower, at 1.1. i still have the other PC, built on the MSI K9N4-slif mobo, tested them and both devices work at perfection. i have 2 screenshots to show you:

Problem recording audio from sampler...

Problem recording audio from sampler (MPC 1000) to Logic using midi trigger thru Lexicon Omega box.
When I hit the record button in Logic, it triggers my mpc to start playing. Logic then picks up the incoming audio signal on the appropriate track and starts recording the audio... PROBLEM- Logic appears to keep restarting the incoming audio, repeating the first 1/4 of the first 1Bar. So every time I hear the metronome tempo counter as it records, the incoming audio replays from the beginning and this is what gets recorded. On the contrary when I'm controlling the sampler via midi and just hit the play button in Logic, the audio signal comes threw and plays the full 4 bars of the audio that I want recorded.
Any idea on how I can fix this? It seems like it has to do with my metronome counter or midi time code?

Thats the ugliest code I've seen in a while and may be hampering your abilities to debug it. No offense - you have to start somewhere - think of it as somewhat constructive criticism.
However, I cannot find any place where this is happening. Its happening on line 193.
Also, this only happens when you try to move certain pieces to certain squaresThat might be a clue. Try printing out the indexes before line 193 and see what happens. Maybe use a debugger to step through your code.
