Problem with audio sample rate when exporting

I am having an issue with my audio sample rate. For some reason it is set at 8 khz by defualt when I am exporting. This was not an issue until the latest update (2 weeks ago). I'll try and give all the info I can up front. Also I tried customer support...that was a nightmare.
Ok the issue I am addressing is that the audio sample rate when exporting is at 8khz by default. Which to my knowledge has NO relevant use what so ever. Even when I set the file format to h.264 it insists on resetting to 8khz. Even if I manually set everything look at the render queue and click on output module again it changes the sample rate back to 8 khz automatically which I must adjust again. Why can it not just be set at 48000 like every other adobe product is and like it used to be two weeks ago. Does anybody have an answer?

This problem is addressed by the After Effects CC (12.2.1) bug-fix update, which is now available:

Note the part at the end of that page about a crucial update for the Creative Cloud desktop application, which addresses some severe problems with AME, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

  • Problems with audio sample rate when capturing DV50

Hello from Spain, I have a problem when capturing DV50 source footage: I setup my sequence settings and capturing settings like always, DV50 codec and 48k sample rate for audio, then when the capturing process finish the result is a file that contains audio to a non-48k audio sample rate, then video and audio don´t match. The sample rate is 47945 and other similars, not always the same, sometimes 47214 sometimes 48000, and there is no rules...My capturing device works ok in other computers and the footage has been capture ok in other Mac...I don´t know what happens.

Hello!, first of all thanks for your reply. Yes, the camera is the same, the problem is on my computer, I have discovered a solution: first I capture the audio, only the audio, and then the video, only the video. After this I soncronize the two separate files on Final Cut timeline. It´s a slow process, but I am really desesperated. I don´t know what happens, I few minutes ago I have captured a 30 mins. video and the sample rate of the audio was 42.145k (???). It´s a crazy thing...

  • Having problems with audio and video when exporting to quicktime

I've exported a couple of keynote presentations to Quicktime and uploaded to youtube with no problems. I've now added a motion background in my intro, which looks great in keynote, but, it would appear that it causes problems. The mov file does play the animation, but, not as it was recorded, the audio then becomes out of sync and the advance on slides is all over the place with some not appearing. Is this a common problem? I am exporting at best quality and 1280 x 720, leaving all other settings as preset. I suspect that if I drop the background altogether it will work, but, it looks so great in keynote that'd be a shame. Any tips?

I'm confused with the aspect ratio when I crop them i know I have to lock the aspect but should I keep it on Original? Also i'm wondering when it comes to export them what size should I be placing if I want to print all sizes.
The crop aspect lock only comes into play while you are actively resizing the crop boundary. LR always works in a freehand manner, except that if the ratio is locked, adjusting the crop frame is allowed to alter its size and location and angle - but not its shape. If the ratio is not locked, you will be changing the crop shape freely if/when you drag the corner or edge handles around. The rest of the time, the lock makes no difference; and it is just as possible BTW to lock a random freehand aspect ratio, as it is to lock one of the standard preset ones.
If you are uploading an exported copy for printing, you could simply upload a JPG made at the original resolution (as cropped for composition and angle) - that is, unchecking the whole resizing section of the Export dialog - and give the printer instructions as to how large the various prints are to be. Or I suppose, you could resize to the largest of the sizes that you require, but you will then need to negotiate a pixels-per-inch "resolution" setting that will be appropriate - since, when resizing to a page size, this figure governs the pixel content of the file produced.
I would suggest that in the case of an export without resizing, where a generous quantity of pixels are included for the sorts of page sizes mentioned, you will likely not see any discernible printed benefit from setting the highest JPG quality setting for your export, but will be fine with around quality 6 to 8 - which brings the file sizes down significantly. Most often, printing services will presume that you have selected sRGB colourspace for your export, unless something different has been pre-agreed.

  • Converting sample rate when exporting

    CS5.5
I'm using Audition to do some final mastering to 16-bit stereo 44100 wav files, in 32 float multi-track sessions.
All I'm doing is increasing the clip gain, then exporting to 16-bit stereo 44100 wave and 320 mp3.
I'm not changing the sample rate, channels or bit depth, but I am applying triangular dither when exporting.
The thing I've noticed is even though I'm not changing any of the properties of the files, when exporting Audition still tells me its "converting sample rate", despite the sample rate being the same as the source (44100). The quality advanced tab on the sample rate is greyed out.
Also, when I check the history box for the newly exported files it tells me "convert sample type on save as"
What is Audition doing at this stage?
How can it be converting the sample rate, when the sample rate is the exact same as the source? And the quality tab for sample rate conversion is greyed out?
All I'm doing is upping the clip gain slightly and then applying dither to these files. No sample rates are changed.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Except that you are...
If you open a 16-bit file as a 32-bit float, then you've changed the bit depth. It's the right thing to do if you are doing amplitude changes, as it makes any change effectively lossless, but it will still have to be converted back to 16-bit if you elect to store it like that.

  • Problem with Office document structure when exporting in Windows vs full-text indexing in SQL Server

We are creating reports with Crystal Report for .Net. We both have a Windows and a Web application connecting to our database. The problem occurs only with the Windows application. We create a report and in the dialog that appears, we choose to export the report in MS Word format. Everythinglooks fine because after we save the document, MS Word is able to open and display the document. However, when we decide to add this Word document in the database in a table that has a image column bound to a full-text indexing schema, that document is never indexed. After fiddling around for a few hours, we realized that the Word document produced during the export is not a true Word document but rather a RTF document that was given a ".doc" extension. Is there a way to have a real Word document when exporting in Windows. The problem does not arise in Web because when we export, the report is displayed in Internet Explorer through the Office plugin. The Office plugin knows how to same a real Word document.
There is also a problem when exporting to Excel in Windows. It does not yield the same structure as in Web. The format of the export in Windows is not compatible with the Office IFilter of SQL Server 2000/2005, therefore the content is not available for search queries.
Any patches to fix this problem?

  • Problems with 3-D Graphics when Exporting to Powerpoint

Hi, I use keynote for all of our presentations and create many 3-D charts. Problem is, my sales team has PC laptops so I always have to export these to Powerpoint. When I do the 3-D charts are all pixelated and don't look so great. I have tried exporting in different formats, bringing these into Illustrator, etc and nothing seems to work.
    Any ideas??

I just tried this and the charts didn't look to bad.
    1) Open the presentation
    2) Select the chart
    3) Copy
    4) Open Preview
    5) Command-N
    6) Save as .jpg
Now, try using that .jpg in PowerPoint. This should give an idea of how the chart "should" look so that we know if it's strictly a Windows thing.

  • Importing audio - sample rate/bit depth

    Hi forum,
I am working on project at 44.1K, 24 bit. Audio elements are being sent to me to be added. Some have come in incorrectly; at 48K, 16 bit. I can convert easily but didn't think I needed to.
I thought by selecting the "Convert Audio Sample Rate When Importing" option when creating the project that would all be worked out.
That is what I've done - and the file seems to be the correct pitch -- yet shows up in the audio window with it's original specs (48/16). Also ... will logic keep it at 16 bit and play all other files at 24 bit?
I want to be sure about this ... something seems fishy.
    Cheers
    Dee, Ottawa

    Hi,
    I am re posting.
Regarding the same project: must everything in the arrange window of a project be the same sample rate (and bit depth). My understanding is that there is real- time conversion during playback. That all file types supported by logic - and all virtual instrument samples are converted in real time to conform to the selected bit depth and sample rate of project.
I ask only as I recieved reference sound files to temporarily place in a mix to see how mix will sit when going to Post. Two audio files are almost a semi tone higher than they are supposed to be (which is odd - so I am pretty sure it was just quickly sung in the wrong key at there end). And one file which was supposed to be timed out is not lining up.
I can work around this on this project. And I can simply convert in the sample editor and re import to compare.
But again ... I just want to check my understanding for future reference. The manual indicates differing rates etc should not be a problem. (ie: That Logic allows one to have differing rates and bit depths. Inversely, the M Sitter video implies just the opposite.
I just want to be sure of this for future reference. Any adive?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers
    Dee

  • DV 16:9 but Only Exports 4:3 WHY? Also Audio Sample Rate Problem

I'm quite new to Final Cut and have FC 6.01. I use PAL 25fps and a 16:9 SD DV Camcorder with FireWire SONY DV VTR Deck. I have two problems:
    1. When i capture my 16:9 DV footage the Logging Window shows only 4:3 with a distorted image in it. Though I have chosen the easy set up and told Final Cut that im editing Anamorphic 16:9 I also found that FC will only export 4:3. However, during the editing process i see 16:9 in the Browser Preview and Canvas Window.
2.(Not sure if its related) I get the following message everytime after I capture individual clips or if i press the Escape key during a capture:
"The audio sample rate of one or more of your captured media files does not match the sample rate on your source tape. This may cause the video and audio of these media files to be out of sync. Make sure the audio sample rate of your captured preset matches the sample rate of your tape"
Does any one else have this problem?
Apple, as yet have not given me any answers.

Danny Boy.. Thanks for your reply and I'll be happy if it is my fault and not FCP's. Actually i made an error in my post. It does indeed display correctly in DVDSP, it's iDVD it does not even when told to display it in 16:9. However, when i used the PAL DVD Anamorphic file preset, iDVD still couldn't display it. To get it working I had to tell Compressor specifically (in the additional settings) to encode 16:9 despite what the presets stated! No matter how one looks at this, this is confusing to say the least! If a preset says 16:9 then one should expect 16:9! Remember, Im using the display window of iDVD to show me the output.
To detail my steps as hanumang has said, im doing the following:
    1. in FCP I encode to QuickTime Move
    2. Open iDVD & Create a Project
    3. 'Drag' The QT file into the menu
    4. Using iDVD Preview function, Preview the QT file
    5. ITS STILL 4:3
now, the above was done with QT Conversion which as also set to encode 16:9 and still had the same result.
    Thnaks to you both.

  • Problems with audio Parallels sample rate

    Hi!
I recently I installed Finale 2014 in my iMac (Os X 10.9.2) and, when I try to run the application, I receive an error message telling that I must adjust my audio sample rate to 44.1 kHz and Finale crashes. So, by going to Applications --> Utillities --> Audio and MIDI Setup, I adjusted the sample rate to this value and the issue continues to appear. By contacting Finale support, they told me that I must remove my audio device from Parallels Desktop 9 (I was not allowed to adjust this device). But, the problem is that I simply can not remove the device - when I select the device, the " - " signal is in gray. How can I remove the device, in this case?
    Thank you!

  • Cannot export as WMV - Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate error

    Hello,
I am getting an error message when I try to export a sequence using quicktime conversion to a WMV. "Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate - The media you are exporting contains audio with multiple sample rates".
I used Soundtrack Pro for the first time- to analysis and fix an audio file with pops. It worked wonderfully. I don't have much experience with this program and the audio is set to 32-bit stereo with a file ext stp. Not sure how to change this or if I need to.
I have done some tests and I have no problem exporting as a quicktime. I am using the latest version of flip4mac software. Your help is appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi Susan,
Thanks for your quick reply. The link helped alot.
For others facing this problem, I found this solution.
    1. Export sequence as a Quicktime movie (not conversion) using current settings and make movie self-contained.
    2. Create a new sequence and change the sequence audio setting (under sequence-general) to 44.1 kHz - Dept 16-bit config default
    3. Drag your Quicktime movie into this new sequence.
    4. Export using Quicktime conversion to WMV with these settings for audio.
    5. WMA9 Standard - One pass, CBR at 64kbps, 44.1 khz, Stereo.
    Voila.
I have struggled with flip4mac from the start. Never had any luck using the 2 pass method which 1'm told is better quality. Tech support at the flip4mac discussion group generated much discussion but no solution. I have settled with single pass quality in order to get the job done.
Does any remember the days of linear editing when you delivered a master, protection copy and some VHS dubs and you were done? Oh, I'm showing my age. Ha.Ha.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Just in from flip4mac support:
The recent release of QuickTime 7.2 created an audio compression error for Flip4Mac WMV Studio, Studio Pro and Studio Pro HD customers. Specifically, when encoding WMV files with Flip4Mac WMV v.2.1.2 using uncompressed audio sources on QuickTime 7.2 systems, customers were receiving "Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate" error and the encode will fail. This problem has been resolved with the beta release of Flip4Mac WMV v2.1.33. If you are using QuickTime 7.2, please upgrade to this release at http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_beta.htm

  • Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate - Export issue

I am attempting to export my project into a Windows Media file and I'm getting an error that says "inconsistent audio sample rate" Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

That error was introduced with the release of Quicktime 7.2. Flip4Mac released a beta with the fix for that particular audio error thing HERE. I don't think the final is ready yet, just the beta, but it's working for me. Don't be "put off" by it, but, before you can download the beta, they ask you to fill out some registration info so you can report back any problems you might encounter.

  • What is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

what is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

You don't have to do anything special. If possible, start your project with a clip that has the desired target frame rate and audio sample rate, and your project parameters will be set automatically. Other sample rates will be converted under the covers.
For example, if your video is shot at 48khz, you can add music files at 44.1khz with no problem.
If you are recording audio that you want to synch with video (multicam), you will get best results if everything is 48khz, but you can use 44.1 if that is all you have. Once I forgot to reset my Zoom to 48,000 and it still worked.
