  • Major problems with Creative Nomad MuVo NX (256 MB)

Hello, I recently brought a Creative Nomad MuVo NX (256 MB) it hasn?t been more than two months and I?m already having problems with the MP3 player. This is a little hard to explain but, the headphone jack (where the headphones connect to the player) whenever it moves (to the left, right, up, or down) the sound dies, or gets very staticy. There is no way I can play music this way, as the connection moves a lot. Is there anyways I can fix this? I hear that Creative will replace my product if it'ss withen 90 days. I also have proof of purchase, and original retail box materials.

obiant, this has been a problem frequently with some older models of the Zen Extra, although I have not heard of this in a Nomad Muvo. What happened with the Zen Extra is the headphone Jack was just soldered on to the motherboard with nothing to hold it on. After awhile the soldering job on the jack would loosen and sometimes break off. After a awhile creative then added a piece of plastic to keep the soldering from loosing. This may be you problem and if it is I?m surprised that creative would make that mistake twice. You should email Creative tech support to see what they think, they can also arrange to have the player sent to them for repairs.
I hope you get it working or fixed.

  • Problems with backlight coming on

I just got a new iPod classic and it works differently than my old one did.
If I am currently playing a song, with the switch on top set to the locked position, unlocking it does not turn on the backlight.
If nothing is playing, however, and I turn this switch to the unlocked position, the backlight will come on.
Is that normal, or is something wrong with my iPod?

FWIW, I've experienced the same key repeating issue on my Latitude E6540 too, running Debian Jessie, and the bios downgrade seems to have solved it. FWIW, I had no problem on windows for bios A10.
It would be great if Dell could fix that, indeed.

  • Problem with backlight timer Off

    Hi!
Just wanted to check if anybody had the same problem.
I've recently updated my iPod with the latest Updater (software version 1.1). Since that time, when the backlight timer is set to Off,it is impossible to switch the light on with pressed Menu key. When I press Menu for longer time nothing happens.
Was this feature disabled in the latest software of is it some kind of a bug?
    Thanks

The only way I can think of to get the feature back is to "update" using an older updater, such as the one that came with your CD.
Reinstall the updater from the CD that came with your iPod would give you an older update that would contain the feature your looking for. Also using the "previous updaters" feature in the iPod folder on your computer would have the same effect. Update the iPod with one of these. However, bear in mind that newer features such as the volume limiter that are on the new 1.1.1 update would not be available.

  • Problem with backlight on keyboard. Mountain Lion.

    Hi 2all.
I have some problem. I have MacBook Pro (early 2011), i7. Some days ago I upgrade my MacBook OS to Mountain Lion (clean install). In Snow Leopard I can turn off the backlight of keyboard, and then it will be off. If I need it, I turn it on. But now I have another situation. I turn off my backlight, but after log off user, or restart MacBook backlight of keyboard turns on... Whats happen?!
    Thx fo help.
    Best regards,
    Kyros.

Lab Tick is a shareware menu item that gives you complete control over the keyboard backlight. You can set the level of illumination by hand, and electively disable automatic adjustments made by the OS.

  • Problem with backlight....

More correctly, problems when the backlight is NOT on.
I have a 3G iPod 15 gb and I can only see the screen when the backlight is on. If I power down the backlight then the text disappears. The same is true if the backlight threshhold is passed and the BL powers itself down. I have adjusted the contrast. No help. I have reset to default settings. No help. I have reset the iPod. No help.
Music plays just fine, but I can only see what is playing if I power up the backlight.

One of these Five Rs is restoring the iPod which you don't mention.
If you try that, and it doesn't help, I don't think there is much you can do except send it for repair. There are 3rd party options cheaper than Apple.

  • Problems with backlight timeout

I have BB 8120 pearl smartphone.  The backlight times out after 30 seconds and I would like it to stay on longer. I know how to correctly change and save that value, yet it won't retain that information for more than a couple hours before I have to go back to the options application and "re-save" the information.  I have removed and replaced the battery as well as re-installing the softwear and operating system.  Any other ideas to try?  The phone is about one month old and works well otherwise.  Thanks in advance to all who respond.

The BBlight sounded alright but its not supported on my phone and I don't trust any of the sites that host it. I'd went with screenlight which is on the blackberry app world

  • Problems With My Old MuVo S

Ok I haven't needed to buy an Mp3 Player in a while, and suddenly one day my trust old MuVo Slim started to act strange. No Music would play, and every time I pressed play, it would skip 5 songs ahead, and whenever I tried to change the song, it would once AGAIN skip 5 songs ahead. Then I realized that it said the songs were stopped (as indicated by the traditional icon of a square, instead of a triangle for play). I did whatever I could, but for whatever reason, I could NOT get the music to play at all. I thought maybe if I plugged it in that the problem would be able to be fixed. However, once I plugged it in to charge, Creative Organizer got brought up and the MuVo Slim file got highlighted. I opened the file through Creative Organizer and there was nothing in the file. Now my computer is fine, and I've tried my laptop as a means of charging as well: nothing has seemed to work. Granted, my technical knowledge is only average, so I'm wondering if anyone can help me figure out why it has suddenly gone haywire.
    Thanks in advance

Anytime one of these older players starts to act funny, the best thing to do is reload your firmware. Use the Recovery Tool listed above or find it on the Support/Downloads page.

  • Having a Problem with WMA DRM and Muvo TX FM - Upd

No elapsed time problem with WMA DRM or other protected files from:
    Napster
    WalMart
    Audible.com.
Elapsed time problem with WMA DRM from:
    Netlibrary.com
This is an update on the problem that I described below:
    Windows Media Player
One problem I had was that Windows Media Player would not recognize my muvo players. It turned out that because I was using a USB hub for the players to connect WMP was not recognizing the players. When I used a direct line to the USB port on the computer, WMP has no problem recognizing the player.
    Digital License.
As a test, I bought a WMA song file from WalMart to see if its Digital Rights Management was compatible with Muvo. There was no problem with the correct elapsed time showing. I will also test a file from Napster and add its license details here.
Here is something else I noticed - the differences in
the license for the two types of WMA files:
The one from WalMart - which works fine with the
    elapsed time on the MuVo:
This file can be played an unlimited number of times
Collaborati've play for this file is not allowed
This file can be burned 0 more times<<<
This file can be synchronized an unlimited number of
    times
The license for this file can be backed up <<<
    For the one from netlibrary.com
This file can be played until 4/9/2005
Collaborati've play for this file is not allowed
    This file cannot be burned
This file can be synchronized 3 more times until
    4/9/2005
The license for this file cannot be backed up<<<<
I have been able to copy WMA with DRM audiobook files to my TX FM, but the elapsed time doesn't change with either play or fast forward. The file is from Netlibrary.com which supplies audiobooks to public libraries. The file plays, but the display stays all zeroes.
I have been sending information and getting replies and suggestions from both Netlibrary support and Creative technical support with no solution. I have the latest firmware and everything else. I have the problem on both Windows XP and Windows 2000 computers. I have downloaded several files, but none of them show elapsed time. I suspect it is something to do with the DRM, because I can play a preview file from Netlibrary - without DRM - with no problem. I also have no problem with other files copied over - from Audible, from CDs, etc.Message Edited by alex20850 on 03-30-2005 07:54 PMMessage Edited by alex20850 on 03-30-2005 08:4 PM

I'm primarily using my TX FM for netlibrary.com audiobooks and also get all zeros on the display.
I've been steadily complaining to netlibrary and my local library about problems/inconveniences, itcertainly is experiencing growing pains; we're the ones getting the pain, though!
I'll post here if I find a (legal) resolution to this.
What firmware version do you have? I have .2.04 and I see that .3.03 is available for download. I've read here that there are problems with .3 with volume limiting and I'm hesitant to change. I do notice that one of the listed fixes is:
Updates the elapsed time displayed during navigation within a long recorded track
so, maybe this is the answer?

  • I have tow problem withe my muvo s

i bought month ago a muvo slim 52mb.
in the start everything was alright but now i have 2 problems:
) i cant open the mp3, when i am pushing the on/off, the muvo doesnt opend. but if it is already on i can switch it off, and when i connect the machine to my pc/leptop and disconnect it, it will be opended. may-be it's problem with my battry?
    2)i cant charge it/
when i connect the muvo to my pc/leptot it should show me the "power" icon, but it's shows me "spaceship" icon, despite the fact that the muvo shows me the power of the battery is /3.

  • Muvo Micro N 200 has a problem with FM recei

    Hi All,
I bought recently Muvo Micro N 200 MP3 player ( 52 MB) and it sounds very good on MP3 songs. I tried for FM and end up with problem.
I bought this in Japan and Set the FM region to Japan and started Autoscan. It has given lot of stations and none of them are clear. All stations are received with Hissing sound and lot of noise along with relay. First I tought, there might be some problem with FM stations and checked with my another FM player. It worked well.
I do not know, what exactly is the problem. All FM stations are received with Noise. Please help me to correct this problem. Please let me know, if there are any settings to be done other than FM region setting to Japan, that I have already done.
Note : When I rotate my MUVO player in some angle, the FM receiving turns good and I found that, it receives well only in certain angles. Is it so.
    Thanks,
    Saravanan

If you are in Japan, the FM setting should be on autoscan
If you are anywhere else in the world, it should be international, the FM settings are not for where you bought it, it's your present location here and now.
The noise you hearing is most likely white noise, and yes the MuVo is very sensiti've to where it's placed on receiving signals
