Problem with backup before updating
So, I plug in my iPod touch 3G, press update. It says there isn't enough space for a backup (48GB needed). I proceed to move my entire music folder to my other hard drive, assuming this will be fine because it will backup my whole iPod, music library or not right? Wrong. It says since this is now "not my usual computer I sync with", it will only save essential things like contacts and pictures before I back up. What the ****? Why does the backup take 48GB of space if all the things it's backing up (music, apps etc) are already on my computer? And now it can't make a backup because these things are gone? I am seriously dumbfounded at the size of this backup when all the files are already on my computer, save a few things. Come on guys, is it really that hard to just zip it to a folder and put it back after updating? Why must all my entire itunes library be there? Is there a way to update without losing all my things? Maybe making the backup location on my other hard drive? I'd prefer not to delete 30GB of games just to make room for this stupid backup. Thank you for reading, and offering help if you have any. Maybe if Apple didn't lock down all their devices this would be a little easier. Wouldn't that be nice? Dragging and dropping my iPods folders to make a backup? Adding music without dealing with a sluggish as **** iTunes? Sorry for the rage, this is just stupid.

I'm having difficulty syncing my iCal between my home computer and iPhone. New entries from my home are not syncing with the phone and vice-versa. I didn't have any problems with this before until the latest phone update. Any suggestions?
It could be that the existing wire in your appartment is not clean enough to provision DSL only. When combined with the phone possibly it has a higher line voltage and worked before. Now that the line is to be provisioned without phone service it may be giving them trouble that did not show before they came out and ran the new line test. So a new jack dedecated for your DSL line may require a new wire be run to your appartment. Also the account for internet only used to require direct billing to a credit card or something else. This was a number of years ago. Most accounts are linked to a phone number, and without a voice number it adds to the confusion.
If you are getting the voice and everything turned on as before, then I am at a loss for words. -

Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
Could you please advise why does it happen?Well, the problem begins somewhere in extract or before extract, may be in transaction log, I don't know:(

Each time the update procedure begins, sometime stands then on the telephone “test mode”.
On the computer wars I the reference in the update manager “connection to the telephone broken off” and wants the update to again start.
If I change my profile attitudes since that for example, then after a telephone restart again deleted.
What there can I make?

Could you help me ,I have a problem with backups on tape drive .The error which Windows throws is "BackupTapeFile::UnloadTape: PrepareTape(UNLOCK) failure on backup device '\\.\tape0'. Operating system error 21(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105)."
Does anyone of you have the same problem.Thank you!You cannot perform a regular restore/recovery (up to the latest possible point in time), because at this time dropped tablespace is not known to the controlfiles/recocery catalog and therefore not known to RMAN,too. You have to 2 possibilities:
1. Restore the entire database and recover back in time to before the tablespace is dropped.
This will cause ALL data within the database to go back in time, not just this tablespace.
2. Clone the target database to a new location, perform point in time recovery in order to export
the data of the tablespace for import into the original database. This causes the data of this
tablespace to be brought back into the production database, not effecting existing (current) data
in any other area of the database.
As you can see recovering from a dropped tablespace needs some additional efforts. By the way you also cannot use RMAN's TSPITR functionality.

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I can't move photos from iPhoto to my secondary hard drive or to a burn folder. I have never had a problem with this before. This is something new. They will not drop into either folder. Nothing happens.
I checked my secondary harddrive and there is plenty of memory.
I emptied my burn folder but the photos still will not drop into it.
I created a new burn folder, no luck with this either.
230 photos is the maximum size of the events I am trying to move from iPhoto to save elsewhere.
I have shut down and restarted my computer. No change. The photos still will not drop out of iPhoto.
My Mac Computer Storage shows that I have 62.2GB free out of 249.2GB (movies, photos and contacts taking up the most space)
My Lacie External Harddrive (2TB capacity) shows that I have 1.79TB available. It shows that 207,729,520,640 bytes (207.73 GB on disk) are used.
I have never had this problem before. It is usually very easy to move my photos from iPhoto.
I am not a computer expert (I work in surgery so don't have a need for lots of computer knowledge) so please explain in simple terms.

I really appreciate it.YES Terence! Thank you. Exporting allowed me to move my photos from iPhoto into the Burn Folder on my desktop. But that doesn't explain why I'm having to go that route now. Have I done something (accidentally changed some setting) on my computer that will not allow me to just click and drag anymore? I really liked the convenience of the click and drag option.
I don't have the time tonight to export and burn a lot of CD/DVDs. I'll try that tomorrow and make sure my photos are moving properly. I also need to export photos to my external hard drive to make sure that route is working.
Wouldn't you know that my Apple Care Plan runs out this Wednesday?! I need to make sure everything is working properly before that expires.

I bought new i phone 5 3 days back, after that asked for new update which is 6.1.4, after updating my iphone i am not able to use cellular data services. I called up data provider, they says its the problem with new software update. There is no option add APN. Now when i switch to safari its showing you are not subscribed for cellular data. But I am able to use data on other phone.
Will you please help me in this regard?

ManishThe SCRP_CODE column has a NOT NULL constraint. The ORA-01407 error is telling you that you cannot update or set a value for this column to null because of the constraint. This has absolutely nothing to do with an index. You can use a marker/sentinel value in lieu of using NULL. For a numeric field, where everything is positive, a negative value (-1) can be decoded as meaning null. For a character field, a code such as NA can represent NULL.
This also has nothing to do (directly) with GoldenGate failing because of this error. The underlying SQL statement will fail everywhere, regardless of the tool or application. It is not a case of failing only in GoldenGate. -

I've lost all my playlists,,finally played around with it and got the songs back but some have an exclamation point beside them and can't be located. they are songs i've purchased. I'm not very computer literate so this is a major problem. I have spent hours with this. I just want all my songs to play even though I'm not happy that I have to recreate my playlists. It would be so much easier if I knew and understood how to correct this. Has anyone else had this problem and if so..is there an easy way to correct it?

Problems with the windows update site in 32-bit Vista Business
Hi Everyone,
I am experiencing problems with the windows update site. As far as I know it shold make a link to the Windows Update module on-board and show the available updates after scanning. However, I get to the page that says "Checking if your computer has the latest version of Windows updating software for use with this website" and the next page I get is "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view". The error number is 0x80070002. I go to the knowledge base and delete the content of the Data Store folder as advised, but to no use at all. Active X controls are enabled Java is working fine. I've cleaned the register and everything, did a complete scan with Onecare as advised by Microsoft, which did not find anything but again the same error message. I am using KIS 2009 and I am sure I have no viruses or any other malware. I even tried to go to the update site with the KIS switched off but to no avail too. On the other hand I don't have problems with the automtic updates and when I run a manual update from the Update module everything is OK. Do you have any suggestion as to what might be the issue with the website updates?
P.S. I am using 32-bit Windows Vista Business on a Lenovo W500.hello

I'm trying to export a file as .dwg for Autocad but it's not showing the dwg preview and it appears to be saving as code (lots of gobbledegook when reopening the file). I'm on OS 10.5.8. Never had a problem with this before. What am I missing? Any ideas?
First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

I have a problem with my application update since i updated to iOS6
i am having a problem with my application update since i updated my iphonw to iOS 6. small updates are taking very long time and even not getting finished after several hours.
my internet connection is very fine and having good speed. i think updating to iOS 6 was a mistake....Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
