I cant get my purchased books to download on my ipad any help pls? I downloaded them to my iphone but it doesnt even show up in my purchased list. Thank you in advance for your help

You have probably not signed into your iTunes account on the iPad yet. Are there iBooks books? Sign into your iTunes account on the iPad by going to the settings app and select store and set your iTunes account. You should make sure you are up to date on your version of iOS too by connecting to a computer with iTunes.

Lightroom 4.1 problems with book publishing at Blurb

I've done a travel book using the Lightroom 4.1 bookmaking function with Blurb. This has been a major headache. The book is large landscape (13 X 11 inches) with a hardcover image wrap. It is 124 pages on Proline Pearl Photo paper. There are 412 images. Once the book was created I took the time to resize all images to their use in the book to keep the book file to Blurb under the 2 geg limit. It turned out to be 1.1 geg.
I created the book in Lightroom without too much trouble. Replacing each image with the smaller duplicate was a pain. Unfortunately Blurb can't deal with my Lightroom 4.1 book file. They've spent a significant amount of time trying to figure out the problem with this book file. With the book completed I tried to upload multiple times. The images and pages uploaded ok. It would then stall out and give a server communication error after 3 or 4 hours had passed. There are evidently some problems with Blurb and Norton, so I turned that off, with no success. I exported the book as a pdf file, trying to get around the server upload issues. Unfortunately the only choice of pdf version in Lightroom is 1.6. Blurb only works with X-3, so that did not work.
After extensive discussions with Blurb individuals I exported the book as a catalog. This was sent with the images and the .lrcat file to Blurb's drop box.
The information below is their email back to me after Blurb worked with the Lightroom book file.

I was able to open your book project without any issues in Lightroom - unfortunately, I wasn't able to upload it to your account or even export it as a PDF or JPG. As a matter of fact, you had more success with it, as the files never even went through the render process for me. To troubleshoot this, I tried the following:
- deleting the cover images/text and choosing a new cover layout.
- deleting the first half of the book project.
- deleting the second of the book project.
- deleting all pages of the book, added 20 blank pages, removed the cover image.
- renaming the project.
- duplicating the project, then renaming it.
After each of these, I tried exporting to PDF and uploading to Blurb, but I had no luck. Unfortunately, it seems that your Lightroom book project may have some sort of corruption in it and that your best bet is to contact Lightroom support directly from the link below. They should have more detailed information on helping you with this problem, as Blurb only handles the actual printing of your file.

I appears to me at this point that using Lightroom 4.1 for book production is a lost cause, and it appears to be a Lightroom problem. Do others have these issues also. My plan now is to manually redo the book with the resized images using Blurb's own software. This has been an painful education and my one major disappoinment with Lightroom.

Problem with book table of contents

Hi all
We are switching from 9.3 version to 11.1.2 . Generating a book pdf, happen a strange thing: the table of contents page is generate in the summary of acrobat, but it contains the first page of reports, so all the book pages result switched of 1 page respect the pdf index. Deleting a certain number of reports from the book the table of contents appears. Do you have idea what can cause the problem?

There are some issues with 11.1.2.0 version with PDF output.Make sure that you have the latest patchset for FR.

Is anyone else having problems with books from Lulu?

I am working on a Mac and recently downloaded Adobe Digital Editions. I have a book from Google and a free book from Adobe, both are fine. But I recently purchased two books from Lulu, an ePub for Digital Editions and a PDF for Digital Editions. When I try to download them I receive the .acsm file, but when I click on it, I get an error message in ADE of:
Error getting license
Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_IO
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. I tried the chat support but was not able to fix my problem. The attempted solutions were to check my clock settings (automatic and correct), download Google Chrome (ugh, my third browser, really?) and then turn off the firewall and ensure the proxy settings are set to bypass for http://adeactivate.adobe.com/. Still not successful. I keep getting the same error message. Has anyone else successfully fixed this error? Haha, old school books are looking better and better right now.

First, the error message isn't described very well - and shame on Adobe for
that. If I understand it correctly, it's telling you that you can't
establish a connection with your ebook source because of security issues.
Monkeying around with ADE software isn't going to help at all, as you've
found out. Cross your fingers that something inside ADE hasn't gone awry
with all of the installs you've done.
You're in a MAC world, and I'm still a Windows guy, so I can speak only
generically about what's going on. No - you don't need a new browser.
It's probably not a clock issue either, because that's a different cryptic
error message. So, we're back to the security settings. Something isn't
right - but not being a MAC guy, I don't know what knobs to tweak.

Problem with Book Being Blank Pages

Tried to download newly released Private Vegas by James Patterson on a Mac Yosemite 10.10, I got back two blank pages, the version I was using was 1.7, so I installed 4.0, and still had the same problem. So I tried to download on my other PC which is Windows 8.1, got the book Adobe ver 1.7. So is this a Adobe issue on a Mac, also for Information, other books will download to a Mac, no problems at all.

Problem with book projects

I have created two book projects on the iPhoto 08 but I have later upgraded it to the iPhoto 11 and all recent upgrades. When I have opened one of my book past book project (standard size) today it was "upgraded" (to new "look") and it looked OK. The other project (13" book) on the other side was totally destroyed. The format of the book (pages and fields) were preserved but most of 90% pictures (out of about 400) and about 98% of the text are missing. Has anybody experienced such a problem? Any solution?....I want to prepare several more books but I am not sure if I can trust the iPhoto and its "stability"....Please help!!!!!!!

Problem with book download-HELP!

downloading a book from CD - shuffle is turned off. CD downloads in-order but when I go to the "books and spoken" genre it is out of order...what am I doing wrong? super thanks!

I don't know what you're doing wrong ... but it would probably just be easier to select the tracks, all in order, in iTunes, into a new Playlist. Then select them all and choose Get Info, and make sure "Skip when Shuffling" is turned on ... you probably don't want to be driving down the freeway at 70 listening to punk and it shuffles to a chapter in the middle of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
If putting them into a playlist is just too easy for you, or not preferable ... you can always mess around with the different Sorts in Get Info.

HT1535 Problem with books appearing on another ipad

I have bought some books from the store, and they appear on my wife's pad, we have different Apple id's!
The only thing in common is that we have set the same credit card for both accounts Does anyone know how this could happen?
This is only a minor inconvenience for us, but could be really important if say the second pad was used by a child and the books appearing had innappropriate content for that age.

Problem with Book?

When I create a book, it goes all the way through, loads the pages and then when it gets to the point where it says "Task Completed" it just hangs. I hit Stop to no avail. Have to kill the process. I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, 12gb RAM.

Can you even get to hit 'Clear Layout'?
Best thing is to create a set of repeatable steps to make it happen. Then we can all test via them.

I have downloaded two books to my mac and although the book covers appear in my apps (and on my iPad when I sync) I can't actually open them to read - what am I doing wrong?

If you've downloaded them from iTunes then you can't read them on your Mac (or any other computer) as Apple haven't yet made a Mac (or PC) reader for them.
Do you have the iBooks app on your iPad ? If so then you should be able to sync them (via the iPad device's Books tab) to that and read them in that app (iBooks is the only app where you can read them) - if you can't read them in iBooks then try deleting the books from the iBooks app (via the Edit button at the top right of the bookshelf) and then re-download them via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app (there should be a Store button at the top left of the bookshelf).

Sync. problem with from iPad2 to iTunes???

I've a problem with sync from iPad2 to itunes. I got the latest version of iTunes 10.5.2 and my iPad 2 is the version of ios 5.1. However, when I activate the sync. iTunes cannot process the sync. and it's locked. Is there anyone has the same problem?
