Problem with CF Studio 4.5.2

Yes, I know it's ancient, but I like it. I tried to use Dreamweaver instead and after two months still couldn't stand it, so went back.
I just loaded it on my new computer - it's Windows 7 - and I can't get the server mappings to work.
When I click on the dropdown on the database tab I get "The connection to the server cannot be established." I looked around, and found a link to a patch that was supposed to fix the problem, but the link is to an allaire page and it's long gone.
Any help would be appreciated!

Similarly, I don't really know how to write sql strings - I just give commands and Dreamweaver will generate the sql strings. Yet, I still observe errors. But I think, for the sql aspect, I'm undergoing a tutorial note that I downloaded on the internet.

It sounds like you do not have an internet connection (wifi arcs in the upper left does not mean you have a connection) since Safari does not work also.. Try the following:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iPhone and iPod touch: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

Problem with database-Studio

Hello
We use MaxDB for our SAP Systems and for our own applications(none SAP)
We upgradet our none-SAP Database from 7.7 to 7.8.02.21.
Then we tried the new Database Studio.
With problems!?
We have a schema BWALLE and a user BWPROGI.
When connecting to the database with SQL-Studio as BWPROGI we can see the schema BWALLE and all our tables.
When connecting to the database with Database Studio as BWPROGI we can't see the schema BWALLE and we can't see our tables??!!
We see 2 users BWPROGI and DBABW(the administrator).
Under BWPROGI there are no schemas!??
Under DBABW there are schemas(dbabw,domain,sysinfo) and all the tables/views belonging to these schemas.
What do we miss???
Why can we access our tables/views/indexes with SQL-Studio and not with Database-Studio.
Any help welcomed

Some more informations:
We have a group BWALLE nouser BWALLE.
The owner of the Schema BWALLE is the group.
The user BWPROGI is member of the Group BWALLE.
When connecting with SQL Studio as BWPROGI we see the schema BWALLE and all tables in the schema.
When connecting with MAXDB Maestro as BWPROGI we see the schema BWALLE and all tables.
When connecting with Database Studio as BWPROGI we can't see the schema BWALLE and don't see any table.
Connecting with SQL-Studio as BWPROGI shows the tables in schema BWALLE and we can read,update,... the data,
but with MAXDB 7.8 we get an error when doubleclicking on a table to look at the table structure.
With MAXDB Maestro everything works as expected.

Problem with OBPM Studio 10.3.2

Hi all,
I now have OBPM Studio 10.3.2 instead of 10.3.1. This new version indeed eliminates the loading part of presentations when you change a field.
But now I have another problem with presentations. When I try to add a group with either Basic or Custom Layout, it gives me an exception.
The exception is --> "An Unexpected Error Has occured" and all details of that error.
When I try and close it without saving and re-open studio, I cannot again open the presentation. It keeps giving me the same error. Even "Continue" does not work.
How do I resolve the error?
Or is there a patch online on this error?

Yes, there is a patch that fixed a couple of problems I was having with presentations as well. Try searching in metalink.oracle.com (or support.oracle.com) and for it.

Problems with sun studio 12 in suse linux 11

I installed Sun Studio 12 suse linux with no problems. However, the debugging modules (DBX) are not working any more. When I started Sun Studio, it gave a message about modules that could not be loaded in tha moment. I did not pay attention. But I noticed that all debugging options were disabled.
Using the module manager, I saw the DBX module was not checked, and I could not change it. I was marked with a red X. So I thought to reinstall the application. However, the uninstall utility doesn't work either.
According with the documentation, running ./uninstaller does it, but I get the following error message instead

I tried to uninstall manually, and then execute installer, by using first the software manager in linux and deleting the producregistry file manually. It worked because I executed the installer. However, in Sun Studio IDE, debugging options are still not available despite I "reinstalled" the application. I checked the log files and they say the file uninstall_Sun_Studio_12.class could not be written.
So my questions are:
1. Is there any other way to repair Sun Studio? What could be the possible for this module to stop working?
2. Does anyone have an idea of why the installer cannot write the uninstaller class?
I found that perhaps problems regarding Java / Netbeans versions could be the problem, but the ones I have installed are those packages that were installed along with Sun Studio, and both are valid.

Perhaps you can simply delete the Sun Studio 12 installation tree, because it will not work on SUSE Linux 11.
This OS is not supported, so any problems you see with SS12 on SUSE 11 will not be fixed.
But we have a newer version, that should work better.
You can try to download and install Sun Studio Express 2008/11 (extract pre-installed image from tar.bz2 file).

Problems with DAZ studio on iMac g4

Hi!,
I use an iMac g4 15" (Flat Panel) display with 700 Mhz g4 chip and with Mac OS 10.4.11, and I'm having problems with OpenGL. I have version 1.1 and I need 1.3 so that the version 3.0.1.144 of DAZ 3D Studio can work.
If it's any help my graphics card is the original that comes out of the box (ie: Nvidia Gforce 2FX).

There is a possibility the version you want won't work on the computer
and that may be due to the hardware involved. In some cases, a basic
factor could be the OS X version available, outside of known GPU limits.
You can see how the graphics processors and Open GL specs work out
on the chart available on the following web page. And since the GPU is
not upgradable in your early original iMac G4 computer, that could be it.

Problems with FL Studio: "Error while creating the ASIO driver."

I'm trying to use ASIO with FL Studio with my SB Live 24-Bit USB sound card. However, whenever I select "Creative ASIO USB" as my output device, I get the message "Insufficient USB Bandwidth. This device will reset to its default ASIO settings.", followed by "Error while creating the ASIO driver."
I've tried unplugging all other USB devices, switching USB ports, using a PCMIA USB 2.0 card, using Monster USB cables; all to no avail. It seems to me that there is plenty of USB bandwidth available but ASIO simply refuses to work.
Here are my laptop's specs (it's ancient but still good enough to run FL Studio):
P4 3.40GHz HT
1024MB PC3200 DDR RAM
SB Live 24-Bit USB sound card
128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
Any suggestions?

It's OK, though, because I figured out the problem on my own. I had to change the "Device Control" settings in the Control Panel from 16 to 24-bit. Don't know why this would affect USB bandwidth, but whatever.

Crystal Report Dll problem with Visual Studio 2005

I am using Crystal Reports with Visual Studio 2005. At one time there were two different version of Crystal Decision Dll in Global Assembly Cache (GAC). So I uninstalled both the versions and then only installed 10.2.3600.
I am facing the following error when building my application in visual studio.
The type 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\arms website\301a5b02\e03ad7d9\assembly\dl3\c30f5560\00f92427_3857ca01\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.DLL'

I have only installed it in .Net Framework. For some reason it appears in the temp folder. I cannot delete it and when I renamed it after the next compile it came back again.

There are few reports in the system they use to run fine but now when I try to run them I get the following error:

I understand that these reports run ok independently and on production machine as well; however when I try to run them from my development machine I get the above error.
I would appreciate help to resolve this. The code of the report is with report developer and I need to know what settings do I need to change where to be able to run the reports. Also I use my machine for deployment of application on the production server.

Hi I found solution, i puted on the page a table -component (with brand new automaticly created dataprovider) , then i set properties visible= false for table, and now I can bind statictext with database field and deploy on tomcat server .
But i think it is not a elegant solution in page source i habe noused-code.

I installed UCM under Linux (Ubuntu 9.10). As part of the setup I configured the installed Apache server by adding to apache2.conf:

Afterwards I installed the Ravenna Hosting Tutorial. It appears ok in the site studio configuration pages. But when I try to view the site I get a 404. In apache access.log I see:

Managed to solve this.
The problem was with SSUrlMapPlugin.so not being loaded because of a missing dependency in the OS. I had to install libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb that is no longer on the Ubuntu 9.10 repositories so one has to fetch it from older releases.

dpkg -i libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2_2.95.4-24_i386.deb
And then restart apache and the content server.

Problems with Dell Studio 17

I purchased a Dell Studio 17 ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9150562&st=Dell+Studio+17&lp=5&type=product&cp=1&id=12... ) on Feb. 7th. A week later when starting up I get the blue screen that tells you there is an error and it's shutting down. It then goes into a black/grey screen that says there is a driver error or somethign like that, and gives you two options to click on...to try to resolve the issue or to start windows normally. Clicking the 2nd option doesn't get you anywhere but back to the blue screen and start the process over again. Clicking on the first brings you to System Startup Repair where it scans for the problem. It scans and scans and scans. Then tells you the computer needs to be restored. You click to restore. It restarts and computer works. It did this a couple of times on my FIRST on then yesterday it just didn't do anything. So I took it in, and was just told ok we will just switch it out and give you a new one. Great! So I take it home, run through all the startups with a new computer, don't download anything additional in the way of additional software, etc. It does it's Windows updates, says that it needs to restart for the updates to work, it shuts down...and there comes the blue screen again. Same thing. Blue screen, to black screen with the two options, you click on the first find solution and fix, wait for it to scan, click restore (which since I haven't downloaded anything restores to the point when I got it yesterday and removes any websites I may have already started trying to rebuild in my saves, etc) ..and then it works. This is what the first one did after only owning for a week. What is causing this...why would I have TWO laptops in a week and a halfs time that is doing this? And appears to happen when Windows intalls an update??

The only thing that comes to mind to help you out here is to try to visit Dell's support website and update your hardware drivers and/or firmware. To get to your model's specific downloads click on "Drivers & Downloads" and choose the Service Tag option. It asks you for your Service Tag which is on the bottom of your laptop. Then it will bring you to a list of available downloads.
Make sure the operating system is set to Windows Vista 64-bit, as this is what your laptop came with. The important ones to update are BIOS and Chipset. But since I don't know specifically what is causing your problem, it's kind of a guessing game.
This is assuming you can get your laptop to boot up long enough to perform these updates. You said that the error said something about a driver, so hopefully updating your hardware drivers and firmware help.

(UCM) Problems with Site Studio

Hi! I've installed Content Server and Site Studio Designer for it today and tried to do an example from http://home.c2i.net/toreingolf/oracle/ucm/my_first_ucm_site.htm . Everything was fine: i've created header and footer fragments, i've created menu and breadcrumb fragment. Then i've created layout page and put all fragments there. After this i opened IE and tried to watch what i've got. Unfortunately there wasn't menu on my page. I tried to refresh page several times -> didn't help :). Then i tried to reload UCM. It didn't helped either. Then i decided to close Studio Designer (it was opened when i reloaded UCM). When i hit close button a message box appeared. It asked me whether i wanted to reload some scripts that were out of date. I hit "yes", Studio Designer made something and closed. After it i've finally seen my menu (so, all i needed was to reload that scripts!).
Then i tried to continue my tutorial and opened Studio Designer again. I've connected to my MFS site and tried to select "Layout Pages" from Site Assets dropdown list but i couldn't. It showed me error:

And now it shows me this error whatever i choose from Site Assets dropdown list. Even if i create a new site. Can anyone tell me what happened and what to do?

This error seems to suggest that you had recently moved from database.metadata to database.fulltext on your CS. Was that done? If yes then under \database\admin you will see a script batchsnippets.sql. Run that against your database and then try to do the same actions.
CS install guide says that when you set the search indexer engine as Full text then you need to run these scripts so that CS has the snippet functionality enabled for full text searches.

Language/Localization problem with Site Studio

I have created a small site using Site Studio. Now in the homepage, there is a select option box where the user have to choose a language (English or Japanese) based on which the text on the page should get converted in a particular language.
So for this, I have created a custom component where I have defined strings in the following way:

And when I see the text on the browser, it displays "My String in English" because the SystemLocale value is set as 'English-US'. So I need a way by which I can change the Locale of the site. So I have 2 questions:
1. How can I achieve the same?
2. Is my approach correct? Maybe there are better ways to do the same. I guess there will be a lot of manual work if I follow the approach described above.

Any reply?

Audio problems with DVD studio pro project

Hi, I'm having a problem getting the audio on a dvd project to play properly through my tv's speakers. The audio comes out very low and jumps in and out. I mixed my audio in FCP, sey the master gain at 0db, mixed it down, sent it to compressor, compressed it to dolby digital pro ac3, sent it to dvd pro, added it to the video and burnt it. The wierd thing is the audio seems to be okay when played through the speakers connected to my dvd player but doesn't work properly through the tv's speakers. Other dvd's work through the tv speakers so I know its not that. Any help would be much appreciated,

OK - several things here.
Firstly, mixing to 0db is way too loud for most folk. A CD is often mixed to -3db and this is much louder than normal TV or film, which are at best -12 or -20db respectively. I would seriously consider remixing the audio to a quieter level to avoid sound distortion on your (or your client's) TV.
Secondly, exporting to Compressor and using teh Dolby settings is fine, but did you use -27 for the dialog normalisation? If so you will have attenuated the audio. Use a setting of -31 if you want the output file to sound the same as the input.
Also, have you got RF overmodulation protection checked? This is another place where you could have introduced the effect you are describing. Do you connect to your TV using RF connections? If not, uncheck the setting in the compressor and re-encode the audio from scratch.
