Problem with clocking (I think it is a hardware problem)

I have an HP Pavilion dv5 1199ee, and using Win 7-64 bit. due to an accident the notebook was forced to be open widely (180 degrees). Since that incident, the clocking system is having problem retaining the right time, and the time displayed doesn't seem to progress normally. I thing the shock that forced the laptop to be open widely has damaged something. Can you help me?

Hi,
You can set the clock on your machine to use Internet time. From Control panel, Select Date & Time then change the clock to use Internet clock.
Regards.

I have coverage with mixed formats - some with PAL ( we think 4:3 ratio) and some HD. When I chose our sequence settings to begin with, is there a way of preventing some shots with bars either at left and right or top and bottom?

Choose PAL 4x3 and scale down the rest.

• ESS Timesheet error with Clock Times

Hi everyone,
Has anyone seen this issue? (ERP 6.0, EP 7):
Timesheet data entry profile is configured 'With Clock Times' and WITHOUT 'Release on Saving'. On the daily view of the timesheet, when clock times are entered and Refresh or Review is depressed, the number of hours is populated and the following error displays:
"Number of hours not valid when Start Time and End Time are entered"
This only displays:
- when the profile is configured without 'Release on Saving' checked. When it IS checked, the error goes away.
- from the daily view (no clock times on the Weekly View)
- in the portal timesheet, not via CAT2 in ECC
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Without checking 'Release on saving': The system checks the number of hours value with the corresponding hours mentioned in IT0007.
On checking 'Release on saving': It overwrites the number of hours stored in IT0007 in the back end system.
This happens because this option has dependency with 'With Clock times' option. For this option, the system automatically deducts unpaid breaks, as determined in the employees's work schedule, when calculating the number of hours.
If this helps, pl do reward.

Hi Rajneesh,
When you run time evaluation through PT60 schema TM00 you will get the following:
1. Clock in and Clock out entry
All recorded time data documenting the actual attendance times or the actual absence times of employees.
Actual time has the opposite meaning of planned working time.
Example:
According to the work schedule, an employee is supposed to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 3, 1999 (planned working time). The actual time data (actual times) from this day is shown below:
8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendance
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Absence - doctor's appointment
2. SKELETON TIME
skeleton time is a time account in which payment-related times of an employee are managed.
Skeleton time is determined in time evaluation.
Example:
Skeleton time in the standard SAP System consists of:
u2022 Attendance, absence, and off-site work within a contractual period (start and end of working time)
u2022 Overtime hours that exceed approved overtime
u2022 Paid break times
3. FLEXTIME
Working time pattern in which employees can individually determine their own start and end times, as long as a certain number of hours is worked within a defined period of time each day.
*4. FILL TIME
A specific period of working time described in time evaluation that lies within the contractual start and end of working time (excluding breaks).
If an employee works a flextime schedule and is also expected to be at work at certain times (core times), then fill time indicates the difference between the start and end of working time (without breaks) and the core times
5. PRODUCTIVE TIME
The usable working time for a resource. The system determines the productive time using the working time data and utilization rate for the resource as follows:
Productive time = (End of working time - start of working time - break
duration) x Rate of utilization / 100%.
You estimate the downtime at the resource using the utilization rate.
And the results of the following will depend on your settings...
Time evaluation will update the quotas and it will form time balances
I hope this information is enough to understand...for more clarifications revert to me..

KPJ

• Migrate from server core 2008 r2 hyper-v with failover cluster volumes to server core 2012 r2 hyper-v with failover cluster volumes on new san hardware

We are getting ready to migrate from server core 2008 r2 hyper-v with failover cluster volumes on an iscsi san to server core 2012 r2 hyper-v with failover cluster volumes on a new iscsi san.
I've been searching for a "best practices" article for this but have been coming up short. The information I have found either pertains to migrating from 2008 r2 to 2012 r2 with failover cluster volumes on the same hardware, or migrating
to different hardware without failover cluster volumes.
If there is anyone out there that has completed a similar migration, it would be great to hear any feedback you may have on your experiences.
Currently, my approach is as follows:
1. Configure new hyper-v with failover cluster volumes on new SAN with new 2012 r2 hostnodes and 2012 r2 management server
2. Turn off the virtual machines on old 2008 r2 hyper-v hostnodes
3. Stop the VMMS service on the 2008 r2 hostnodes
4. copy the virtual machine files and folders over to the new failover cluster volumes
5. Import vm's into server 2012 r2 hyper-v.
Any feedback on the opertain I have in mind would be helpful.
Thank you,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Yes , I agree with that "file copy " can achieve migration.
Also you can try "copy cluster wizard " :

Apple should make a server hardware/OS with iOS level security. This could compete well with the breach infested pre secure OS/hardware server systems like Windows Linux OSX. It should be structurally immune to phishing etc and could be sold easily as a secure alternative. It should be based on structural hardware based security as has been demonstrated in the iOS operating system and the hardware should be made in secure facilities in the US. Those Chinese put weaknesses into the hardware they make as has been documented on 60 minutes.

Apple's entry in the server market has come and gone - is there a question in there somewhere?

• Bootcamp problem with clock never in sync

Hello,
I recently upgraded to Mac OS X Snow Leopard and shortly thereafter, I installed Windows Vista Home basic using boot camp. Now, however, no matter how hard I try, the clock in Mac OS X and the clock in vista are never in sync. Even if I go into system preferences (in both systems) the clocks never match up. For example, my clock at this very moment says 10:40 AM even though it is 6:40 PM and windows vista would say 2:30 PM even though it is 6:40 PM. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to fix this problem.
Thank you
