Problem with collaboration rooms

Hi all,
I have a prolem in collaboration rooms, After i create a room, i will get a link to enter the room. when i click on the link, i am able to enter the room but with an error saying
<b>"No connection to groupware server (No logon data found for system lotussystem). Refresh this screen or contact your system administrator if the problem persists"</b>
Can anyone please help me why the error is??? and also what should be done for this.

Users should be mapped to appropriate systems through a user name and password.
In your case navigate to USer Management and enter an appropriate Username and password for the system lotussystem through the User mapping tab. The User name and password would be used to logon to the system.
This should solve the problem.

I'm having the same problem myself... There is another simmilar thread at:

It seems that thread has progressed further that this one.
Both seem to be errors connecting LSO to Collaboration rooms. I'm getting both error messages when I try to do the same API connection functions from different points in the system, so I'm guessing that they are the same error. IT seems to be an SSO issue.

Problem with Collaboration FAQ room part

I'm having a strange problem with the FAQ room part (SP16).
The first time I go to the room, the FAQ works fine. If I navigate somewhere else and come back the FAQ iView is blank.
I have quit the browser and come back, it's still blank.
I have switched browsers (from IE to Firefox) and it works, but only once like IE. After that it's blank again.
I've loggen out, cleared the cache and forced a reload all with the same results (still blank).
However, if I close all my browsers and wait an hour or so before I try again, it works. I'm not sure if it takes an hour exactly. I usually go to lunch and it works when I come back.
Any Ideas?

Problem with Collaboration Navigation in Custom Framework (Tasks)

Hi,
I developed a custom frameworkpage with DTN using the Navigation Taglibrary. (Navigation-Method: byURL)
I also included the navigation within collaboration rooms.
My problem is now:
When I navigate to "Tasks" and then click on one of the tasks related to that room, the task appears, but the navigation context is gone (empty DTN, none of the Top-Level nodes is selected..)
Even when I try to add the navigationContext of the "Task"-Node to the url, it does not work. (a navigation context is only displayed if the context points to a non-collaboration navigation node)
Does anyone have the same problem and solved this somehow?

If you create a custom component then nothing is working "out-of-the-box"

You can take the sap portal light dtn and start 'stripping' it until you have something you can work with.
This helps you to figure how the tag-libs work and can help you create your custom module from scratch eventual.
Ofcours you should never overwrite SAP components so if you redeploy do it in your customer namespace (com.<customername>.<application>).

Problem with Dark Room theme.

I have created a homepage in iWeb 3.0.1 with the Dark Room theme (web.me.com/jmsuijkerbuijk). Everything looks fine (that is: the way I intended) in Safari 4.0.3 and OmniWeb 5.10.1, incomplete in Opera 10.00 and Camino 1.6.10, and plain terrible in Firefox 3.5.3 (you really don't want to know the result in Internet Explorer under Parallels!).
The problem is manifest with pictures that are titled and/or drop a shadow. In both Opera and Camino the shadows are missing; in Firefox the shadows are present, but are not titled with the picture itself, which returns a ridiculous result.
Is there something I can do to have all or most browsers show proper imaging? Thanks in advance!

Camino 1.6.10, however, has problems rendering the pages in a number of areas. I don't worry about Camino as it's not used by many.
There are just two pages that look to have problems with Firefox 3.5.3. The Biography and Score Samples. The photos have both a drop shadow and reflection. The drop shadow is misbehaving. However, on the Welcome page there appears to be both a reflection and drop shadow on the three image and they look fine. The difference is that those three are links. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Opera just doesn't support the java script create drop shadows. As for IE you'll have to really dummy down the site to get it to work with IE. Roddy has a number of posts and a site that gives many tips on making a site more compatible with IE.

Problem with Collaborator Workbench

Hi everyone, i have a problem with Demantra's Collaborator Workbench, after I'm creating a new data model. When I try to log in to collaborator to see my new levels that I've created, i am welcomed with the login error " Invalid user name or password".
I've created a new user with full permission level, but it was in vain.
What should I do?

Error in Web Service with Collaboration Room API

Hi experts,
I'm developing a web service for creating Collaboration Rooms. I tested my source in a Web Dynpro Project and everything worked.
Now I placed my code inside a web service, and the service gives a nullpointer exception in this line:
IRooms roomsAPI = (IRooms)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IRooms.PORTAL_SERVICE_ID);
I think I have to make some references inside my web service project, but I don't know which and I don't know where.
Can somebody please help me with this issue?

Fast forward problems with 2nd room DVR

I am enjoying my new FIOS set up very much. I have the Home Media option on my HD DVR and STBs. I'm having trouble with the "Fast Forward" when watching shows in my "non" DVR room. When the show is longer than about 45 minutes... after scanning thru commericals the program jumps back to the beginning. This is very frustrating and in some ways defeats the purpose of the multi-room option. I'm considering canceling this option but wanted to check first to see if there's an easy fix.

All three problems are reported issues and due up to be fixed. The first of your problems isnt a problem with the site, as it is a problem with IMG. The DVR content isnt being flagged properly after finishing it. Number two, you already know what is causing it. I don't know too much about this problem as ad insertion is handled on the network level. I do know they are reporting to be working on a fix at this time. Only a few areas at this time experience this problem as verizon does not locally insert ads in every market. Number three has been around for a while. We have attempted to fix it but the "fix" actually broke more things than it fixed so we had to pull it off the boxes. This one is still a work in progress to be fixed.

TREX search problem in collaboration room search

Hi,
I receive this error when I try to search from collaboration rooms:
Error during search occurred: com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException: multi-server search failed on some of the servers;error=2982,location=gruffi:31613;error=2982,location=gruffi:31643 (Errorcode 2975)
Search is performed using standard SAP iView: pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/Collaboration/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.coll.CMSearch
All the trex instances are green in trex monitor. Portal version is 7.0 SP15.
Any ideas how to fix that?

i think the trex services in os is not started.
Please do the following:
1. Restart the TREX Service from the OS. In Windows go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. Look for TREX Instance XX
2. Check if the system process TREXIndexServer(.exe) runs. In Windows just open the Taskmanager and look for the process.
3. Go to the TREX log folder "\usr\sap\trex_61\trace". Check for errors in the file TrexIndexServer.XXXXX.XXX.trc

Using Web Page Composer with Collaboration Rooms

Hi,
IS there any standart or non-standart way to use Web Page Composer within Collaboration Rooms?
We Want Collaboration Room to have a Home Page prepared by Web Page Composer

I would think that if you create an iview that encapsulates the web page as the help docs explain, then instead of adding the iview to a role or workset, you would add it to the collaboration room workset. Just like you could add any iview to the collaboration room workset.
I have not tried this though.

Problem with Collaboration maintenance IView

I need a help or suggestion in Collaboration maintenance Iview requirement.
Problem:
When i am creating a room i am giving long description. But when i open this room in the room directory The description expands with a horizontal bar. But i would like to split this description into two to three rows.
like description.setWrapping(true);
I am downloaded the room maintenance par file. and i identified the jar file which consists of the source code , but its depending on so many objects.
Any alternative or help in the above problem.

this lets me assume that the generated file is fine. and that IE doesnt know how to open it, and that FF thinks it knows how to open it, but opens it "differently".

Urgent problem: customizing collaboration room annoucement page

Hi all,
I am creating a project room template by modifying the Standard Project Room template delivered by SAP.
Here is what I want to do:
For the Announcement page that contains the Date Announcements (roomNews) iView and the Milestones iView, I want to make it such that only someone in the projectLead room role can edit them. Regular project members can only view the Date Annoucements and the Milestones but cannot create new news or milestones.
1) I guess the best way is to create copies of the iViews and remove the 'new' link from them. Any hints about how to go about doing this? I realize that the layout sets of the two iViews (called AppMilestoneExplorer and AppAnnouncementExplorer respectively) do not have any command groups in their Resource Renderers. The 'edit' link from the option tray of these iViews will open up to a new page containing either the AppAnnouncementExplorerEdit or the AppMilestoneExplorerEdit iViews (this is by default, from SAP). How can I see the connection between these two sets of iViews (the ones appended with 'Edit' and the ones without)? The Annoucement page only contains the iViews with the AppMilestoneExplorer and AppAnnouncementExplorer layout sets...
2) In order to remove the 'new' link, do I just go into the Link Command Group and remove the command from the command list itself? What are the difference between Resource, Folder, and Link Command groups?
3) I am to create two iViews (one with the corresponding command in the layout intact and one modified), assign each of them to different pages and then furthermore assign the projectLead role to one page and the regular member role to the other. However, how is it possible to make the two pages in 'sync' to one and other. For instance, if the projectLead creates a new annoucement in his own annoucement page, then the regular members should be able to see this annoucement updated on theirs. Does this has something to do with setting up an extension in the template, relating to the two iViews together (ie. by having the two iViews pointing to the same extension)? Anyone can elaborate on this? (I am just making an eduated guess)

Hi sweta,
It is known issue and recently I have the same problem ;). You must add suitable permission for end user to the iView: portal_content/com.sap.pct/Collaboration/iViews/com.sap.netweaver.coll.CMSearch. It is placed here: Portal Content->Content Provided by SAP->Collaboration->iViews->CM Search. For me it seems to be a bug, because template worksets which you are using for your room doesn't contain this iView. I've opened OSS request and they suggested changing permissions. I've also asked for some explanation why wrong search iView is used inside room worksets but I am still waiting for replay.

Problem with Collaboration and Portal accessed via multiple URLs

Here is the scenario. We have the portal installed that can be accessed from an external domain: portal.company.com. We recently upgraded to WCI 10gR3 and in the process we added an internal server that uses an OAM webgate which handles Integrated Windows Authentication. The URL for out internal access is portal.company.int. The problem comes when we try to access collaboration folders. From our internal URL when we click on a folder in Collab Documents the loading... text come sup and that's it. No other activity in the browser or in PTSpy. If we use the external URL there is no issue.
Anyone have any ideas on how we can get around this or what the cause could be?

try to play with the collaboration server url (for the Collaboration Remote Server )

Enter the external url here, or better the name of the machine, something like
http://<machinename><yourdomain>:11930/collab/

Problem with Mult-Room DVR after moving to new location

We are having a remodeling project done in our Family room so I moved the multi-room DVR to another room to continue recording. While I can see the DVR from our bedroom DVR (also multi-room), the moved DVR does not appear to be recording anything. While we can see programs that were recorded (including at least one recording done after I made the move), the DVR states that they are no scheduled recordings (despite several series recordings being scheduled). a reboot of the box doesn;t seems to have done the trick.
Any thoughts on what could be causing the problem?

Yes, but not via the Finder or Terminal. You'll have to locate them via the "Star Wars" display, per #12 in the FAQ.
But if you have (or are thinking of putting) other data on the drive, in the same partition as your backups, don't. See #3 in the FAQ.
2. If I change the name of the file as described, will time machine find it?
+*NO !+* Never change, delete, or move anything in your backups via the Finder or Terminal; that can corrupt them beyond repair !
