Problem with communication channel on receiver side with file adapter

Hi all,
I m doing a scenario of collection of multiple idocs into a file.When i m testing this scenario,i m getting a flag successfully executed in SXMB_MONI.But,my file isn't created in my directory.When i monitor the communication channel in Runtime workbench,it's showing error :<b>Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages</b> for my receiver file adapter?I am not able to figure out the error.Anybody having idea about this problem.

Check it - File adapter is active ? try to Re-activate the same.
Also do CPACache Refresh.
Still problem, tyr out by restarting the Adapter Engine

In our company we have many file to file scenarios some of them for B2B communication. We want to archive all the files that are sent from vendor to our company. Is there a way of archiving the orignal files being sent by the vendors?

well if the files are not picked up by XI then they will stay in the sender directory then why do u want to archive them and create a duplicate copy.
files are archived when they are picked by sender file adapter so that in future if we have any issue in message transfer we can resend them,simple set the mode as archive in the sender CC.

How the campaign with communication channel telephone picks the mobile No.?

I created a marketing campaign with communication channel telephone the cal l list is only generated for the telephone number but I want it to pick the mobile phone number and use it. If I put the mobile number only it gives me error that the communication is missing

Please try this:
Assign the target group again. Assign the already prepared target group to your campaign. Assign the Channel: Telephone (with activity creation). Release and Execute the campaign on the Assignment Block Campaign Details. Execute the campaign for the target group. Schedule the batch job to be executed immediately.
Please tell me if it doesn´t work.

XI - restrict access to Communication Channel and Receiver Agreement

Hello Experts,
We are trying to restrict the access to certain communication channels and receiver agreement in our XI system. We are able to restrict access to business service but not the afore mentioned objects.
Our XI system version is 7.0 with SP level 17.

Problem in Communication channel monitoring..

Dear friends,
I am facing a problem in Communication channel monitoring.
Problem:
I have designed several communication channels in the Integration directory.
To check the status of channel i will go to RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Engine->Communication channel monitoring, then we have a selection screen to filter out the channel, adapter,etc..
Here i am NOT seen any channels to filter out. I.e. Channels in the Integration directory are not reflecting here.
Can you please help out on this?

Hi venkat,
For receiver JDBC adapter message can be sent synchronously and asynchronously.
In case of SELECT statement only synchronous makes sense..since the JDBC adapter will select some rows/columns and return it.
In case of other statements (UPDATE,INSERT,DELETE) if the message is sent synchornously.. u will get only the no of rows affected..so these can be treated as acknowledgement...

MQ 2 FILE scenrio - can not communicate with communication channel

trying to run MQ 2 file and the file is in the MQ and the communication channel of the sender write me in the RWB this message
XI inbound processing failed for message at 2008-04-15. JMS and XI identfers for message are ID:.......
JMS adapter will rollback database and JMS session tranactions.
does any one know what is the problem with the Queue? why does the sender does not recieve the message and I dont see it in SXMB moni?

Party communication channel for multiple stores with multiple user id and passwords in sap pi

Hi Exeperts,
I have a scenario proxy to SAOP . where i am sending some information from my stores to third party company with single user id and password in communication channel.
but requirement is changed now i have 20 stores with 20 user id and password for communication channel.how can i achieve this requirement?
Can i create 20 communication channels for 20 stores or can handle through the party based communication ?
Please help us achieve the requirement.

Hi,
In the SOAP Receiver adapter, you can only store 10 userid/password combinations via Authorization Keys. These are called via Dynamic Configuration via technical name TAuthKey. In your case, for it to work, you need:
1. 2 business components/2 SOAP receiver communication channels.
2. 1 receiver determination with xPath for username to determine correct business component
3. 1 interface determination
4. 2 receiver agreements (one for each cc)

Can anybd tell me how to generate multiple files at the Receiver side in the given target directory with different file names?
One source message will contain number "N" using which we have to generate files "N" number of times at the Receiver side.

provided you have SP>14 and no IDOC/HTTP involved.
and have you got the error you mentioned when testing with sample payload?
from where did you take the payload? if is from SXMB_MONI make sure you dont have <MESSAGE> tags in the payload,generally systems adds <MESSAGE> tags when you do multi mapping.
get the payload from SXMB_MONI right click ->view source payload(this is raw data) and test it.
it should be ok now.

Synchronous JDBC adapter(receiver side) with stored procedure

Hi experts,
Can some database processing logic be included in receiver JDBC (synchronous) adapter...to put it simply
I have synchronous JDBC adapter in the receiver side..Using this JDBC adapter I want to get some response back from the table..
The requirement is not a simple fetch from the table..It involves some processing in the database side which I guess will be done by stored procedure..After this database processing , this output will be picked up by the JDBC adapter and will send to PI.
How can this be achived ..Any Blog..

Problem in communication channel

I am new to xi and doing file to file scenario. In Receiver communication channel i am using file content conversion for text file. In adaptor monitering it is showing the error
Initialization error: Conversion initialization failed with java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found:
Parameter '.fieldFixedLengths' or '.fieldSeparator' is missing
Eventhough i specified the fieldFixedLengths and fieldSeparator.

I think u give record.fieldseparator
Could u paste ur receiver structure and also paste ur Recv CC parameter here..

Dynamic Communication Channel in Receiver Agreement

Hi Experts,
I have the situation: one Receiver System with one Inbound Interface. This Receiver System is able to receive messages on this interface through different Communication Channels.
I want to have a possobility, based on message content, to dynamically select which Communication Channel to use.
So is it possible to do such a config, without dublicating the Inbounb Interface with a different name (maybe to set some values in Java Mapping?)?

No. I meant receiver determination only. You use same receivers in more than one cases.
As asked, why do you need multiple channels?

I don't know what your asking. if your talking about 802.11b, that is a standard and you can compare the difference of 802.11b, 802.11a, 802.11g, 802.11n and or 802.11ac. Wireless devices, that means client devices have to be able to support the standard that the access point is using. So if an access point is 802.11b only, the wireless client device has to be able to support 802.11b. If for example, the access point is 802.11b/g/a/n/ac, that means the client has to be able to support at least one of those standards to be able to connect.

OS command in Communication channel to change property of file...

Hi All
Can anybody let me know the OS command (to be written in command line prompt in receiver file channel) to change the property of a file written on Application server.
A file is getting written on PI application server by a communication channel. Now how can we direct that channel to change the file's property of Read/Write/modify(777) while writing it to the location.

For unix Application system command is
chmod <file name> 777
For Windows Application system command is
ATTRIB [+ R|-R] [A|-A] [ H|-H] [+ S|-S] [d:][path]filename [/S]
