sub: Problem with Copied Business Object : SELFITEM
I want to use changed selfitem BOR for carbon copy functionality. For it, i copied the BOR : SELFITEM. it is giving error
In SWI2_DIAG it is showing like this.
Work item cannot be read
Work item 000000639770: Object method SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S cannot be executed
The problem is with COPYING The Business Object. Because , generally we extend BOR ,not copy. But i did copy.
Please help me regarding this.

The problem may not be in method. because simply we copied the BO:SELFITEM into ZSELF . And i want to test this for a mail at first , whether copied BOR is working or not.The mail is not triggering . it is saying that it is Error.
WF_BATCH error...
I can see error in Tx: SWI2_DIAG ,
this is Error :
Work item 000000639770: Object method SWW_BI_EXECUTE_S cannot be executed
Once it is rectified i can modify the method in BO:ZSELF.

Problem with DimensionBuilder (Business Objects Financial Consolidation)

Hi all,
i try to create a new Dimension as described in the help by switching into "Definition Mode" of the Dimensionbuilder. In "data sources" I select the "amounts" folder and Select File -> New -> Dimension. Unfortunatelly the Dimension entry is greyed so that i can not select it. It is also not possible to load data into the existing dimensions or reference tables.
Any ideas how to solve that problem?

The problem is solved. If you have the same problem, make sure that your database is initialized as a top site. By default the database is initialied as a child site which means that customizing is not possible.

Problems with a Business Object when using data RAW.

Hi,
I've created a Z bapi with parameter tables as
FILE_BIN like SDOKCNTBIN
The structure SDOKCNTBIN has one RAW field.
When I go to SWO1 and implement a new Bapi, the following error occurs:
"Field SDOKCNTBIN -LINE is too large to be included in container"
Does anyone knows why when I declare an structure with a field RAW, gives that error?

Trouble with copying an object

I am trying to copy an object as follows:
First, I read the object (using the session not in a Unit of Work)
then, I modify the primary key
Finally I do a registerNew.
The result is a duplicate primary key error. I can examine the object that I am regisering as a new object and it does have the new key, but when I look at that SQL INSERT statement that is geting generated still has the old key.
I tried experimenting with the undocumented copyObject methods, but it still had the same problem. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong.

I have a related problem with copying. basically, I need to create a copy of an object for display to an HTML page. The user can then submit multiple changes. Once he/she decides it is good, a commit occurs. I was planning to use the copyObject() (using ClientSession) at the beginning and the mergeClone() before finally issuing commit() on the UnitOfWork.
The object that I'm working with has multiple levels embedded in it, such as
class1
+--- class2(multiple)
+--- class3 (multiple)
+-- class4(single)
If the object has references to non-private parts, how do prevent the copyObject() and the mergeClone() methods from going out of control and recursively trying to create clones. I'm asking because when the copy or merge is not limited to private parts, TopLink seems to want to copy/merge everything. Some of our tables have reverse references to other objects so the whole thing becomes one endless loop.
any help would be appreciated...

i have a problem with copying text from english pdf to a word file. the english text of pdf turns to be unknown signs when i copy them to word file .
i illustrated what i mean in the picture i attached . note that i have adobe acrobat reader 9 . so please help cause i need to copy text to translate it .

Is this an e-book? Does it allow for copying? It is possible that the pdf file is a scan of a book?

Problem with database schema objects in the entity object wizard

Hi All,
When creating a new entity object, I am facing a problem with database schema objects in the entity object wizard, database schema objects (check boxes for tables,synonyms...) are disabled. Actually I am using a synonym but I am not able to select the synonym check box.
Can any of you folks tell me how to enable the database schema objects (check boxes for tables,synonyms...).

Make sure your using rite version of jdeveloper..
Make sure your using apps schema and check whether your able perform DML operations in the schema vis sql developer.

Facing lot of problems with the DATA object -- Urgent

Hi,
I am facing lot of problems with the data object in VC.
1. I created the RFC initially and then imported the data object in to VC. Later i did some modifications to RFC Function module,and when i reload the data object, I am not able to see the new changes done to RFC in VC.
2. Even if i delete the function module, after redeploying the IVIew, results are getting displayed.
3. How stable is the VC?
I restarted the sql server and portal connection to R3 is also made afresh.... still i am viewing such surprise results..
please let me know what might be the problem.

Additional plug ins not displaying when working with ERBI Business Objects.

when working with ERBI Business Objects I am attempting to edit a report which requires Java. When I click on edit I get a bar at the top of the screen that say "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page". I click install missing plugins and receive a page that says no suitable plugins were found. I click finish and thus it still won't allow me to edit a report.

we want to start with SAP Business Objects Explorer. I have been searching for tutorials for while without success.
Are there any tutorials or documentation that shows how to work with excel-files as data source or how to upload Crystal reports files (.rpt) to the Explorer?

As far as I know the SAP BUsiness Explorer car retrieve data either from a universe or from the SAP BWA. So hat you should be looking for is information on how to set Excel files as data sources for universes.

HT1473 Do iMacs (2009) have a problem with copy protected CDs?

Do iMac (2009) have a problem with copy protected CDs? My iMac keeps ejecting new (2014) George Harrison (Apple years) CDs I bought.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. My iMac is not recognising the 2014 pressing of George Harrison's apple year CDs, I can't get them to play (let alone try & copy them). The CD is accepted in the drive, it reads the CD & then ejects it. I suspect that the CDs are copy protected, although I do have earlier (e.g. from 2004) copy controlled CDs that the iMac will play. Is there a known issue with iMacs not playing copy protected CDs?
My copy protection suspicion is based on a user posting on the George Harrison website, there is nothing on the CDs that state they are copy protected.
NB CDs play ok on CD players & also on a windows laptop.

since previous releases of iOS8 I'm facing problems with copy&paste of url's and data betwen application on iPad2 and 4s .

You might want to follow this methodology to update ...
Follow this procedure for a Troubleshooting Methodology ... basically reset to factory default condition -BUT- be sure to do the following methodically and also to follow the part with Apple Support!
First you want to make sure you have several backups of your data and done with a couple of "different" sources. Be sure to understand what data is backed up and what is NOT on iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup. Then turn off your desktop anti-virus software when using iTunes for this reset to factory default. After you do that reset, then leave your iPad in its factory default state and see how it operates then. Keep at it with that trouble ticket number until Apple Support arrives at a solution to that problem. Be methodical and keep at it.
On the other hand, if everything is okay with the factory default condition, then restore your backup. Some people have discovered that the problem resides in the apps or something in the restored backup. If that's the case, then it's going to be trying and difficult to find out which developer's app is causing you the problem. And ... it's true ... that a developer not following Apple's instructions and guidelines for his app can CAUSE YOU TROUBLE. This kind of thing does happen from developers, especially when a new system upgrade comes out, because some developers ignore what Apple tells them about changes coming, and what they do BREAKS SOMETHING.
This is a troubleshooting methodology that you are going through. See it through to the end.

Problem with copy of the object

Hi,
trying to copy (clone) my object:
var a:TestObj = new TestObj()
var a2:TestObj = ObjectUtil.copy( a ) as TestObj;
but i recieve nothing. So the ObjectUtil.copy can return me
only the Object type, but i want a concrete type!!!

It seems your dealing with request scoped object(s). So you should be safe with respect to the multiple threads.

Problem with BDOCS Business Partner CRM - PSCD(R/3)

I have a problem with BDOCS (Middleware, Data Exchange Synchronization).
I configured only Synchronization for Business Partner Type 2 Organization and 3 Group(In the Initial Load). However, when PSCD add or modify Identification Number (table : BUT0ID) for other types of Business Partner, for example type 1 Person, the BDOCS generate a update in CRM (inbound queue) specifically produced a show processes in PSCD, because the table TRFCOUT progressively grow, and also in the outbound queues table.
Do you have any idea what happen ??
or if i can use a kind of filter to the Bdocs online??
Because i only can filter the BDOCS in the initial load but not in the bdocs online.

Configuring the business partner integration from R/3 is done in the PIDE-transaction on the R/3-side and in the customer_main object on CRM-side. Simply enter the filter settings in the object, sync it with R/3, check your filter settings in table CRMFILTAB on the R/3 side.

Issue with Citrix Business Objects full client

Hi ,
I have issue with my database pasword being expired. I ran a recovery and it works fine for me.
Since we are using the citirx installation the bomain.key is available on the citrix server which is copied across the user profile when they are login into citrix server via the logon script.
I still could not find whether the log on script is correct or not can any one of you let me know what I can use to copy the bomain.key using citrix usrlogon.cmd script.
