Problem with creating a straight line with polygamo lasso

I am having a problem with polygamo lasso. when i create a triangle or a rechtangle in straight line it is turn out the line become not straight. I don't what did i wrong, was always working fine till today. YOu can see the pic the top line lookslike a step.

Ihope I did right, was not sure how to save as channel.

I need to show the qtr year average in a line but the line shouldn't join the value from 200 to 300 and 300 to 250. Can i Have straight lines with gaps?

Intersection of straight line with 3rd order polynomial

Fishing for some advice on finding a solution to finding the intersections of a straight line with a third order polynomial. Does anyone have experience with a problem like this?

1st order polynomial (straight line) in x = 3rd order polynomial in x
so you need so find the roots of
(3rd order polynomial in x) - (1st order polynomial (straight line) in x) = 0
which is
another 3rd order polynomial in x = 0;

How can i draw a straight line with a brush?

i know the pencil tool can draw a straight line with anchor points. is there a setting for the pencil tool that can mimic a 30 point brush, low hardness (faded side to side) at about an 80 degree angle or is there a way to make a straight line with the brush tool using a mouse?
i know this image is a bit blurry. what i want to do is replace the 2 white angled lines with the 30 point brush effect 230 pixels wide. the project on the left of the pic is a 2ft by 4ft canvas. any ideas? please help.

Only on Photoshop CC does this happen, drawing a diagonal line with shift key, instead of line starting dark & then fading out, it does the reverse, starts on nothing & then darkens towards anchor point. I am on trial versions & can't purchase until this is cleared up.

Why does my Wacom tablet only make straight lines with the pencil & brush tool even WITHOUT shift?

I have Photoshop CS3 on Mac OSX 10.5.8 on a white MacBook and I'm using a Wacom CTE-630, and I always had the correct drivers.
Yesterday I discovered that the brush and pencil tools were incapable of doing anything but a dot or a straight line while I used my Wacom tablet. Using those tools with the touchpad works perfectly! Curves and squiggles abound! But for some reason I can't do it with my tablet.
And I yes I tried downloading the latest drivers from the Wacom website... to no avail.
After looking through forums I discovered that it was a problem experienced by users of tablets of other brands, I couldn't find any mention of Wacom tablets having this issue. And then I saw a thread somewhere that mentioned holding shift created straight lines! So I immediately thought that perhaps photoshop was functioning in reverse or maybe my shift button was broken...
So I pressed shift, and something different happened, if I made a dot on the page a line would automatically appear, connecting that dot to the previous dot I had made. Which is in contrast to the issue I had been having which goes something like this:
If I try to make any curved lines, a dot will appear where I first made contact on the page and then when I release the pen from the tablet a straight line will go from there to the dot at the start of the line. In other words, a dot appears when I start a line and no matter what I do with the line after that, a straight line goes from where I ended the line to where I started it!! ARGHHHH!!
And it turns out It's not a Wacom problem, or it doesn't seem to be, because it works fine with the brush tool in Illustrator CS3.
So I came to the conclusion it was Photoshop that was at fault. I found nothing on these forums related to my issue.
I hope someone can help. Because I was really itching to start digitally painting again. =(

Yes I did solve the problem!
Thanks to everyone that suggested things, but none of them worked. In the end it was Wacom, yes... WACOM that solved the problem. Even though it was an Adobe Photoshop issue as far as I could tell. So thank you Wacom, you helped me when I needed it most.
So now to the vital solution:
"Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding pen tool in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
Please try the step below for reset CS3
For MAC, please hold pressing command + alt+ shift, then open Photoshop.
Get the CS3 update. Start CS3 while holding.
If the problem remains, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Photoshop CS3 again."
Worked the first time for me. So spread the word! This issue shall trouble people no more, a solution has been found!

Newbe - straight line with different curves at each end

I'm generally not using Illustrator as I'm sure you can tell. I need several curly brackets, but none will really do as they will cover varioius lengths and should be the same size. It looks like the easiest way will simply be to create one putting two straight lines together, but I cannot even determine how to get a curved end at one end of the line - yet alone a second different curve on the other end. For the curly bracket shape you may consider quarter circles at the ends, and a pair at the middle, all with the same radius.
You may:
1) Create a circle with the Ellipse Tool and cut it into quarters at the Anchor Points; you may then use all the bits or just one or two of them with copies,
2) Place the first quarter with the inner end where you want the first straight part to start (on one side of the intended straight part),
3) Place the second quarter (corresponding to a 180 degrees rotation) oppositely (on the other side of the intended straight part) where you want the firrst straight part to end,
4) With the Direct Selection Tool select both inner ends and Object>Path>Join, now you have one half curly bracket,
5) Object>Transform>Reflect, Align the two halves, and Join them at the midlle.
For different lengths, you may Direct Select the two Anchor Points at either end and move them away from the middle (you may use arrow, Object>Transform>Move, or other ways).
If you just want roundings at the ends, you may simplify the suggestion here, just having the second one on the same side in 3) and finish with 4).

How to create a wavy line with the Pen Tool?

Let me start by saying that I am a novice to Adobe CS4, including PS.
I am trying to follow this tutorial: http://www.rnel.net/tutorial/Photoshop/11541 but I can not even get the pen to draw wavvy line. I keep get a straight line. To say the least, I am only able to complete creating the file.
How do I create a wavvy line or lines using the Pen Tool?

Problem in creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePD

I need a favor I am creating client side PDF with image using flex and AlivePDF for a web based application. Images have been generated on that pdf but it is creating problem for large size images as half of the image disappeared from that pdf.I am taking the image inside a canvas . How do i control my images so that they come fit on that pdf file for any image size that i take.

I am having a similar and more serious problem. It takes a
long time to execute, but even attaching a small image balloons the
pdf to 6MB plus. After a few images it gets up to 20MB. These are
100k jpeg files being attached. The resulting PDF is too large to
email or process effectively. Does anyone know how to reduce

Problem when creating a sales order with reference by BAPI

I am facing one problem when creating Sales Order.
The scenario is like this while creating SO With reference to an Order type, a new SO will be automatically created with a diff order Type.
I am using "BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2".
I am calling this BAPI in USEREXIT_REFRESH_DOCUMENT.
Am I using the right exit to call this Bapi ?
Problems are like :
1. Ref Sales Order creating without Sales Unit .
2. "Object Status does not exist" error msg is coming for Header and Item level(when clicking the status tab and then object status pushbutton). But if testing the bapi from SE37 in test sequence....no such problem persists.
As for example in case of sales unit,in the debugging mode i have seen that BAPI uses a perform to fill the values in the VBAP structure.But after that when it come back to the main program VBAP remains blank.This ocuurs when the BAPI is called from the exit whereas if tested from SE37, VBAP retains the value.
Can u suggest in this ? This is very very urgent............

I have to create a generic datasource with infoset. I linked the infoset with a test program below. In the program, I have one selection option, which is s_order. After creating an infoset and a datasource, this selection option 'SELECT_S_ORDER' is added to my extract structure. However, after try filtering with this SELECT_S_ORDER, it doesn't filter data at all. Why? I want to filter data with my s_order.

Problem connecting two seperate straight line paths. Please help!

Hi there, I'm new to illustrator and have been having a problem connecting two straight line paths. They never seem to line up correctly. Attached is a photo of the problem. I assume this is an easy fix but I can't figure it out myself.

There seems to be two aspects:
One is to get the end points to coincide. You may tick View>Snap Guides, then click one path by the end Anchor Point and drag it to snap (Smart Guides say anchor when you are there).
The other is to get rid of the gap in the stroke(s), You may join the paths into one, dragging across the coinciding Anchor Points with the Direct Selection Tool and Ctrl/Cmd+J, or you may keep the separate paths and change the Cap to Round in the Stroke palette/panel which will give you a rounded outer appearance); I presume the former is what you wish, in which case you may choose between Round and Miter Join.

Problem when creating new SO line

Hello Everyone,
Through form personalization I have made the sales order lines non-Updatable those having status as "Release to warehouse" and those are having other than this status then it is updatable.
Suppose, there are two lines already present and second line has status like "Release to warehouse" and if I create a new line and try to save this line then the error message come up i.e. "You attempted to update a record on a block that does not allow updates."
Please provide the solution.

i need to validate the browser's(MSIE) userAgent through my regular expression
userAgent is like :First one ==> Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)
i wrote an regular expression like this:

Actaully this is validating my userAgent and returns true, my problem is, it is returning true if userAgent is having more words at the end after Windows NT 5.0 like Second One ==> Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) Testing
i want the regularExpression pattern to validate the First one and return true for it, and has to return false for the Second one..

Ofcourse, i can do comparision with simple string matching..
but problem is the userAgent that i want to support is for all the MSIE versions ranging from 5.0 onwards, so there will the version difference of IE like MSIE 6.0..! or MSIE 5.5 some thing like that..
any ways i will try with StringTokenizer once..!

Problem in creating a CMP bean with MySql

Hi,
I am using lomboz eclipse, jboss 4.0.2, xdoclet 1.2.3 & DB as MySql 5.0. I am encountering a very strange problem when I try to create a CMP with MySql as DB. After entering relevant information about the datasource & testing the connection & finding it to be successful, I get the error in lomboz eclipse as : CMP has no attributes. Moreover, I donot even get the table names from the schema, that was given in the datasource, with which the mapping of my CMP will be done.
I tried using Oracle 9i. But to my wonder, I didnot experience this issue, as it gave me all the CMP atttributes mapped & also created the CMP with Oracle DB. Can anyone help me in getting this issue resloved with MySql DB?

Yeah, the DB User permissions are found to be ok, as the test connection was successfull. I have tried for MySql 4.1 & Myql 5.0, with their respective jars & driver classes. But the result was same. Test connection is successful, but when i hit the next button to see the CMP attributes, it doesnot give me the list of tables under that schema & says that CMP has no attributes. Please help.

Have problems to create lagacy data (AS91) with asset that purchase in 2010

Dear All Experts,
I have some problems when I try to create lagacy data via AS91 but it's not allow me to post acquisition value and accumulate depreciation into asset that have capitalize date on this year (30.09.2010)   Could anyone please tell me Did I do anything wrong in config ?or Should I change the year in capitalize date to the past and then takeover value after that edit capitalize date again by AS02.

I agree with colleagues:
If you make a legacy data transfer during the year you can't enter   kum. values. You have to press the button transactions and enter here the transactions from previous system.
Please also check:

   - Date Specifications
     - Specify Transfer Date/Last Closed Fiscal Year
     - Specify Last Period Posted in Prv.System (Transf.During FY)
