Problem with creating bXML from SAP Business Connector Lookup screen

I used to be able to use the SAP BC 4.7 SAP Lookup screen to view, cut & paste a bXML representation of a BAPIs inputs and outputs but it doesn't seem to work following a recent support pack installation on R/3 v46c. After clicking the 'bXML' button on the screen, BC 'hourglasses' and doesn't come back or time out. Is anyone aware of this issue and hopefully a solution?

I have WebDB 2.2 and Oracle8i instaled on the same computer. I have a problem to create site from another computer. There is not any process when I try to create site. There is always 0%.
But I have no problem with creating site on the origin computer.
Does anybody know something about it?

I am just not clear what to do once I have made changes and have published the new information.
You shouldn't have to do anything. iWeb will save the information in the Domain.sites file. You can keep this file in a folder, or even on your desktop and iWeb will launch from a double-click on the file.

Problem with creating pdf from Microsoft Publisher 2013

We are having problems in creating pdfs from Microsoft Publisher2010- When the function 'Adobe PDF' is selected and 'Print' is clicked on nothing happens. The progress bar just sits there for several minutes without creating a pdf. We have to click on cancel and when this is done this crashes Microsft Publisher.
I have repaired this using the repair facility in Acrobat 9. I have also uninstalled Acrobat 9 and reinstalled this.
I have also uninstalled Adobe Reader XI and reinstalled Adobe Reader 9.
Before uninstalling Acrobat I also ran the updates but this didnt help either.
This is on a Windows 7 PC (64-bit)
Adobe Acroabt 9 Pro Extended
Microsoft Publisher 2010.
Any help is appreciated.

MS Publisher 2010 is not supported by the Acrobat 9 Family; and the PDFMaker extension for Publisher has been removed completely from the Acrobat XI Family, so upgrading won't help either. Sorry!

Problem with sending mail from SAP (ECC6.0)

Hi guys!!
I am facing problem in sending email from SAP to outlook.
I've checked SICF and SCOT configuration and they are same as my other server thorugh which i am able to send the mail.
I use SBWP to send the mail. after i send i do not get any error message, and when i check it in outbox, there is a yellow triangle in the status which means "send process still running" . so the sending mail is taking hours. i've set the frequesncy of my B/G job RSCONN01 to 10 minutes. i checked and this job is running successfully every 10 minutes.
Please suggest what could be the possible reason and what can i do to solve this issue.

Hi,
First of all ask your IT (Exhchange) guy to check port number 25 is open or not for communincation, if not open ask him to open.
you can check this yourself by doing TELNET
steps to do telnet :
logon to your application server,
go to command prompt
and type TELNET <IP address of email server> 25
If it prompts some message like this
"exhange.domain.com Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 6.0.3790.18 30 ready at Mon, 16 Jun 2008 16:25:41 +0300. "
then it means your port 25 is open for communication.

Forwarding XML/EDI from SAP Business connector to EDI (cloverleaf)

We are having issues setting SAP up to work with the business connector and our EDI system - cloverleaf.
For testing, we would like to:
1. Create an idoc in SAP and send it to the Busness Connector.
2. Have the busness connector send the doc via XML to our EDI system cloverleaf.
Currently, I have things setup like so:
SAP/ECC6:
SM59: RFC setup as type T and works fine.
WE20: Partner Type LS:
I have 2 message types setup (in outboard: I have "orders" and in Inbound I have the same).
in WE21: I have a cloverleaf (our EDI system) to run with the RFC destination I setup in SM59.
On the Business connector, I have the following under routing rules:
From SAP to the Business connector:
Sender: 8805
Reciver: 10000000008
Message Type: Orders
ACL Group: none
Package: default
Main Flow Services: wm.PartnerMgr.flows.88605.1000000008:ORDERS
Transport: ALE (R3/IDOC)
SAP destination: RD1 (our sid).
FOR my outgoing to our EDI system cloverleaf:
I am using the sender: * - Not sure if this should be SAP or the BC.
Reciver: * - Our EDI system. our EDI system is listening on port 49001.
Message Type: Orders
Under URL (not sure about this one)
I have http://reg2lxap0725:5555/MessagingSystem/receive/BcAdapter/BC
I am however stummped on how the URL shold look..
Now, when we test the above config... I recive the following results in WE02.

Any advice to point me to the right direction is greatly appriciated....

Thank you very much for your answer. The AdapterGuide was really helpfull.
Now the routing rule is associated to the correct Service (that was a the problem). So the rule started to process the XML files from the folder (the XML files disappeared immediately after I corrected the rule).
But now my problem is that on the SAP side there is no inbound IDOCs so it seems the trasmission may failed.
Moreover under "Routing"-->"Transactions" I don't see these entries with the the current date.
Our routing rule is simple: "wildcard" "wildcard" "wildcard" "ALE (R/3 IDOC)"--><OUR SAP SYSTEM>
The SAP connection is working as I can test under "SAP..." menu.
Is there any other way to monitor what had happened with these XML files? I'm sure the BC processed as the files are gone, but there is no IDOC in the destination SAP...

Problem with Variable imported from SAP in universe

I am using BO XI R3 with SAP based OLAP Universe.
I am using a BEx query with a variable to create the universe.
While using the variable in WebI report, the prompt comes but it has no effect in the report. I have noticed that if I select any measure object in the WebI query, then the prompt is working fine. But If I select dimension objects only, then the filter doesn't work.
I need to see some dimensions only in the report based on the filter prompt. Is there any specific way to achieve that without selecting a measure object in the WebI query panel ?
I can delete the filter object in the universe and create my own. But why the filter imported from SAP is malfunctioning ?

Let me elaborate the problem.
I am using BEx query (version 7) to build the universe.
In the BEx query, I have one characteristic "Cons Area" in Rows and one key figure "No of Records" in Columns. In the Characteristic Restrictions, I have one variable B_AREA on Cons Area.
In my universe, by default, I have :
1. One dimension object L01 Cons Area for the characteristic Cons Area.
2. One measure object No of Records for the key figure.
3. Two LOVs LovB_AREA and LovB_AREABase as hidden dimension objects.
4. One hidden filter object under class Cons Area for the variable. "Use filter as mandatory in query" checkbox is checked and "Apply on universe" is selected.
The formula of the objects are as below:
L01 Cons Area : [0BCS_AREA].[LEVEL01]
No of Records:     [Measures].[D6UXU0FKYVITGHUL4JRNT6XRH]

Now when I am building a WebI report using this universe, If I select Cons Area Object only, then the prompt is coming but has no effect on the result. The data is not being restricted by the prompt.
But If I select the measure object along with the dimension object in my WebI report, then the prompt is working fine.
If I delete the filter from universe and build my own filter in WebI query panel, then it is working absolutely fine.
I can create a filter object in universe also as below which will work.

The problem with Complex Job Manager in Business Connector.

I have a problem with the service "Complex Job Manager" in Business Connector.
Sometimes this service hangs and a minus value (such as -83452 sec) appears in the column "Next run".
What can I improve?
I have BC ver. 4.7 with CoreFix 9, Java ver. 1.3.1 (46.0), system AIX.
Please help me.

Problems with data migration from E-Business Suite 11i to OID.

Hi everyone i'm trying to migrate data between Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and Oracle Internet Directory.
I'm following the guidelines from the document: Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i with Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Single Sign On.
I have created a intermediate LDIF file that will converted to final LDIF file by ldifmigrator utility. But an error occurs when I try to disable a certain profile in the phase of converting the Intermediate LDIF file to final LDIF file. I am running the oidprovtool as cn=orcladmin and the syntax is as follows:

Can anyone help my to resolve the "Invalid directory credentials" error so that I can continue my Applications 11i migration.
I must admit that i'm new to Oracle Internet Directory and all advices and pointers are highly appreciated.

Problem with create archive from mini-DV tape

I have a fairly large collection of homemade mini-DV tapes. They are getting a bit old and I would like to back them up to my computer as well as have easy access to the footage with FCP.
The tapes were made on a Sony TRV8 camcorder (either directly or as backups of older VHS tapes). I am using the same camcorder for playback.
The camera shows up as expected in FCP. My goal is to "Create Archive" on each tape. Here is where I ran into some problems.
My first tape ran about halfway through - around the 30 min mark and gave me a "end of tape" message. The footage was captured properly, but there is still half the tape to go. I tried a second time and only reached the 5 minute mark when the archiving ended with an "end of tape" message. I am on my third try as I type this and have made it to the 15 minute mark.
I thought to possibly create multiple archives, picking up where I left off. However, whenever I select "create archive" FCP insists on rewinding the tape to the start. This behavior differs from the Apple KB article which states archiving will start from the current position of the tape.
Adding to the problem is an issue of jittering playback.
When I playback using the camera controls of the "play" button in the import window, things are fine. When "Create Archive" handles the playback on its own, the pictures jumps as if it is on a trampoline. Sometimes I am able to hit "stop" and then "play" to get a normal playback - sometimes hitting stop stops the archive with an "end of tape" message.
Any ideas on what is going wrong or how to work around it? I have over 100 tapes to archive. If each tape requires numerous attempts to archive, this will never get done. I thought the archive process was supposed to import the entire tape?

The part about archiving ignoring timecode and just archiving the entire tape I have read in several online forum posts. Some I believe are in this forum. These same folks usually advise to use archive rather than import in a bad TC scenario. Again, it seems that wrong information.
I am now simply doing an "import" of a tape, which appears to be working as expected. Seems either the age of the tape and/or the playback device is causing less than perfect timecode. Lot's of stutters resulting in a single "scene" being imported as many separate clips. I understand what you mean by assembling when ready to edit, but this is not practical. It looks like some areas are broken down to clips of 1-2 seconds (some even less).
What a mess. I'm looking for a mini-DV player as I suspect my camcorder may be the culprit. Not easy to find one.
Seems I will have to assemble the multiple clips to recreate the original. I am hoping I can then output the assembled sequences to DV files to maintain the "original" quality of the import (which should be the same as the tape since it is all digital). I would then create some FCP libraries to organize and store the clips.
Was really hoping to simply do the camera archive thing. My tapes are all cataloged and organized. Having a number of archives which match each tape would have saved a lot of time and trouble.
--and thanks for the help. It's a bit frustrating trying to preserve old tapes, especially when things don't work how you expect. Any workarounds or ideas to get a library of raw files out of this mess is appreciated. IF I can get that far, I plan to back up to M-disc.

In the code I have written the follwing code for receiver list

          APPEND reclist.
I have passed this to function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 receiver parameter.
when I run the program SAP user id's are getting mails but not internet userrids.
What couldbe the issue .
Please let me know what could be the reason.

Size problem with Email sent from SAP

Hi everyone,
All our layouts today were developed with sap script
We started to send them by mail, using the standard way.
in the process they are converted to PDF format from OTF, because of this activity the size of the mail that I am getting is 1 Mega where as the source is only 300K (approximately).
We are already flagged the option of compressing.
As we see now we don't have any option to make the email to be smaller.
Is someone already encountered this problem? What option do I have? (Except of developing the layout again in Adobe)

We started to use the standard process of sending mail.
As we understand the program of converting OTF format to PDF cause the size problem.
And its define to send PDF out of the SAP, also we are using SAP definitions to compress all files :nSE38 -> RSTXPDF3 -> option FLATE_COMPR_OFF = OFF
But still the mails are very big,

How to HTTP POST data to SAP Business Connector

I would like to transfer data from a client with HTTP POST to SAP Business Connector. SAP BC acts as server. In SAP BC I created a Java service containing the code:

SAP Business Connector Developer 48 Installation error

When I run BEX QUERY, all works OK.
All hierarchies was created and activated on system BW.
This situation appears after upgrade BW to SAP NetWeaver 7.3.
Before upgrade I created universe without any problems.

Problems with invoke call in browser (SAP Business Connector)

I have a problem with the invoke call in a browser to test a build flow in the SAP Business Connector:
I build a flow which receives a XML file, converts it into a record, then adds some mandatory data to the segment "EDI_DC40", then reconverts it into XML. After that, the XML gets converted into SAP IDOC format. Then I send it via ALE service to the connected SAP System.
The flow works so far if I test it with the "send XML file" function in "Test" menu. But when I test it via a call in the browser, it doesn´t work. The mandatory data in "EDI_DC40" is there, but the Business connector does not recognize the data which comes with the XML for this segment ("MESTYP" and "SNDPRN") - so it can not be transfered to the SAP system. It causes a routing rule error, because sender and message type is unknown.
Does anybody has experiences with that? Is there a difference between browser call and the test function "send xml file"?

Hi,
Just debug your SAP BC service in which you are calling the RFC and check if proper values are getting mappend to your input variables of RFC.
If that is correct than there wont be much chances of problem in BC.
