Problem with DLO Dock Deluxe

I've been trying to get my nano to work with the "On TV" feature of the DLO Dock Deluxe. The nano connects fine to the stereo when in the default dock mode but as soon as I push the mode button on the DLO remote to go to TV mode the nano display slides to a big check mark saying OK to disconnect. The TV screen shows the DLO menu screen but says "no iPOD detected". I've called DLO several times. First they said to update the nano to 1.1 (did this and the updater brought the nano to 1.1.1 but didn't help solve the problem), then they said to try and restore the nano (which I did with no change in behavior), then they told me to exchange the dock for another one (which I just did today and I still have the same problem). I'm feeling convinced that the problem has to be with the iPOD but not sure what to try next since I've tried everything DLO has asked. I think someone may have said to reformat the device but I didn't know that was an option and not sure how to do that. I'm assuming that would be different than reseting, updating, and restoring. Has anyone else had similar challenges? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Barry. I wonder if anyone else has the answer to that question. I have many different view options for different folders, and it would be a pain to have to reset each one of them.

Problem with ipod dock and apple remote

I have a problem with my apple remote and my 5th gen ipod on a dock. I set it up and plug it into a TV, yet when i get into a music video playlist- it will only play 4 songs (the same ones) and then go back to the song selection screen. The same thing happens in the movie "tab" as well.
Any ideas?

Thanks for your response. No the iPod doesn't respond at all--the volume display doesn't come up or change.
When I press the play/pause or either skip forward or back on the remote, the iPod, while on the dock, lights up and responds to the command as it should. But when I press volume up or down on the remote the iPod does not respond at all.
According to Apple's store info on the remote, the volume up/down controls should work. I am wondering if maybe it doesn't work with the 3Gs for some reason. But if that is the case, Apple should indicate that. It is kind of frustrating to not be able to adjust the volume.

Problem with Universal Dock

Hi everyone!
I was wondering if any of you guys have had problems with volume adjustment with video iPod when attached to the new dock and stereo. In most cases I have to crank the volume almost to end, but not the all way, because then the sound only comes out of the headphones. As I said, this happens in almost every song. On other the songs - I've found only few - I can't adjust the volume, which I find more pleasing. So I would like to know, is there any way to change those preferences on the iPod, or with some other method?
In case its needed, my iPods firmware is 1.0, which I wouldn't like uprage because of the backlight timer.

Now after the iOS 4.0.2 update, no audio from speakers when I connect to universal dock (headphones and internal speaker work fine), the volume slider disappears when I connect the iPod to the dock and the TuneIn Radio app says "No Volume Available". Hardware volume buttons and apple remote have no effect.
Resetted settings, downgraded back to iOS 4.0.1, restored to factory nothing seems to work. Strangely enough, tried connecting a friend's 2nd Gen ipod touch which hasn't been updated to ios 4.0 (it has 3.1.3) and the same thing: volume slide goes away when connected to dock, and no audio out from speakers. Speakers are good, tested them separately.
Could it be that the ios 4.0.2 update screwed up the universal dock firmware?

Icon bounce notification problem with hidden dock

Hi: I think this has been reported on macosxhints for the mail app, but I'm seeing it in other applications too. Specifically, I have Adium setup to notify me via a bouncing dock icon on new messages. I also have a hidden dock.
I've noticed that on new messages, initially the dock icon bounce will be visible. But if I mouse over the dock area to unhide + hide the dock, the bouncing will no longer be visible (it is still bouncing, and I can unhide the dock to confirm - just not visible when the dock is hidden anymore). If I click on the dock icon to check my message, any subsequent messages from Adium result in the dock icon bounce not being visible with the dock hidden. Once again, it is bouncing, just not visible.
As described in http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20090330170041769, there are certain ways to avoid this, or even to recover from this, but I end up missing my IMs pretty often.

After upgrading to leopard, I have this problem with the Dock

Any time I try to remove an icon from the dock, it crashes and restarts, hence I am unable to ever remove items from the dock!
Any ideas on how I might fix this?

Problem with DK26 dock for Xperia Z

i just got my DK26 dock today and tried it out. it seems that whenever i plug in my device onto the dock, it'll reboot my phone every 5 to 10 minutes without failing! my sibling on the other hand has no issue on this. i have an SDcard plugged into my phone while my sibling doesn't. can anyone help me with this because its irritating.

Might be related to the SD card yes. Try formatting the card via your computer and see if the problem persists. Remember to backup all the data on the card you want to save.

Few problems with the dock. Creating App stack, and removing apps from dock

OK.. I am running leopard 10.5.4, and decided I wanted to use the app folder as a stack. I made my new folder with the alias' inside. However, when I went to move it into the dock, 9on the right side of the sizing bar), the other stacks failed to shift out of the way, so I couldn't add it in.
Another problem is that I can't see to remove apps from the dock. I have admin rights, and they are not active, hence the desire to get rid.
Anyone have an idea??

STiLL problem with the Dock in Mountian Lion

I have a terrieble problem.
Each time i point at the dock with the mouse, the dock disappears, the background is flashing gray and then the dock appear again.
I have read all threads about this problem, and I have:
- deleted the dock-file in /Users/Mac/Library/Application Support/Dock
- deleted the com.apple.dock-files in /Users/Mac/Library/Preferences
- tried to login as another user at the OSX
- restart the mac in Safe Mode.
--> in Safe Mode i works! And when i restart into normal mode it works . . . until i restart the computer again. Then the problem is back again.
I have Macbook Pro 17'' mid 2009, 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
The OS is: OS X 10.8.2

Found the answer!!
Go to the font catalouge --> disable the versions of Lucida Grande that has a warning sign (for me it was Bold and Regular).
Now it works.

Since installing 10.6.4 problem with transparent Dock icons

Hi there;
I installed the Mac OS X 10.6.4 update via Software Update on three Macs. So far, so good on two of them. On my MacBook Pro, 10.6.4 is running fine except for a small but annoying problem. Some of the icons in the Dock are transparent now. The icons for Mail and Safari are transparent. If I drag those icons off the Dock and replace them with new icons, the new icons remain solid for a few minutes, then go transparent again.
Has anyone else noticed that problem and if so, have you found a way to fix it?

Have you tried LaunchServices?
Have you tried in Safe Mode?
Copy & paste this at the command line to rebuild LaunchServices:

Problems with the dock

Hi i have just upgraded to mountain lion and my dock is not working properly at all, its like it freezes when i hover it with the cursor.
Normally the icons will expand a bit when i do it now just the first icon does it (sometimes and sometimes not)

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key and choose Library. Then go to Preferences folder and trash this files:
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist EDIT: Sorry
com.apple.dock.plist
Then, restart, or log out and in again.
(You will have to reset your Dock the way you like them.)

Problem with Universal Dock after iOS 4.0.2 installation

My universal dock is only two weeks old..It worked fine with iOS 4.0.1.
Today everything was also ok but after I upgraded to 4.0.2 while the phone was sitting on the dock and now I get the error message:
"this accessory is not optimized for this iphone"
Tried to reset settings and clean connectors, but no results.
Did you experience the same?

Problems with Speaker Dock

Just downloaded latest Ipod software and Ipod Touch no longer plays through my speaker dock or FM transmitter in the car. The dock is powered and I can hear the music through the Ipod's own speaker - haven't tried it with headphones.

My problem started when I downloaded the latest Ipod software. I fixed it by resetting (pressing home and sleep button for 10-15 seconds) and synching and everything's back to normal now.

Problem with my Dock & HD??

I dont know how it happened but all of a sudden my dock disapeared and I had a couple of crashes when I was using Quicktime. And I played around with the syetem pref and all of that and got nothin. I saw a post on hear the same thing happened to someone else and the guy told him to restart the computer and if it crashed latley to run the disk utility and verify the hd. I think that fixed the problem for that guy, but when I did that this is what it told me

Also I cant click on the finder at all really. I cant click on the background or cant click on any of the folders or anything on the desktop. I can click on the apple logo and right when I restarted a finder window opened up and I was able to open up safari. Another thing I have like a 80gb hd and I was using up almost all of it and then when I ran to verify the disk in the disk utility afterwards i noticed it was saying that I have 30gb free. But I dont know what that is about. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this or know what the error means that I fot from the disk utility?

Well, I can tell you first off that if you were "using all of it" in terms of your 80GB HD, that can be a leading contributing factor into the problems you're having. You should never have your hard drive filled to capacity because it will affect system performance.
Now, you stated that you VERIFIED your disk. Did you attempt to REPAIR the disk as it instructed you to do? Remember that verify and repair are different processes.
The only way to repair your HD is to boot from your installation disc and run Disk Utility from there.
That may fix it. Do that first (repair your HD) and then see what happens.
If that doesn't work, backup your HD first, then try a total clean and archive installation.

Problem with the Dock icons in OSX 10.5.3

Not sure if this is down to the recent OSX update but ever since I applied the update my dock icons, or more specifically the text above them looks like this:

You'll notice the background where the text is is not graduated as it should be on either side.
Any ideas how to fix this?

That looks like the problem I occasionally have (since the background of the dock also seems missing) Does a fan-view of a doc-stack draw no icons?
If it is the same problem I don't think it is related to the update (I had it on all point versions), and logging out and back in might fix it.
