Problem with Dreamweaver3 Tour Films
When accessing the local dreamweaver v ersion 3 help system
and trying to view the shockwave films included in the tour I find
only "placeholder" grafics and when clicking on them a browser
window opens inviting me to install the latest version of
shockwave. This has already been done and the installation tested -
in general it works, but within the dreamweaver 3 help/tutorial the
problem is unchanged?

I have a feeling that on one point you are pretty much sure
to be right, that some component of these films are not compatible
with the newer shockwave version -on the other hand I am not so

incompatible content is presented to shockwave.. I feel it will
probably not play them whichever which way they show up if they are
incompatible?
I am slowly coming to the conclusion that I will have to use
the rest of the dw3 help system -without- these films for the time
being - and see about a newer version when circumstances allow.

I have my S9 headphones and Tour sync'd up, can make calls from the headset...but my apps play through the speakerphone. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks!
Even though you LOVE iTunes, there are many other programs out there that don't require extra software to be installed for it to function....there by freeing up your CPU to run more programs.
I would seriously look into trying something different that doesn't need to hog so much system resources....until they reduce their program's needs.
Try something like Winamp or Musicmatch Jukebox.
You can have your library to show up pretty much the same way that they do in iTunes. You'll just have to read through the user guides to get it exactly the way you want it. -
Problems with scanning color film negatives
I am using an Epson 4990 flatbed scanner to scan color film negatives. When I scan 120 film I can during the scanning process that the entire negative has been scanned, but in thumbnails and then in the final scan the picture (image) is smaller than the negative. It is as if the software is cropping the picture. Is there anyway to ensure that the scanned picture is the same size as the negative?

I can see that the software is not available for your Scanjet G4050 on Mac 10.10. Although the the software is not available ImageCapture should still allow the option for "auto selection"in the dropdown should be "detect separate items" It should then detect your 30 separate photo negatives. When you are in image capture you will want to ensure you press "show details" at the bottom of the window to get all the options. You may also want to try changing the resolution to a higher DPI to see if that helps when scanning the negatives.

This is my third phone in less than one year. I charged my battery last night and when I went to unplug it after it was done, the phone had turned off. I unplugged it and now the phone will not turn on. I took the battery out and when i replaced it, it turns on but won't let me get to any apps. Then once the backlight starts to dim, it just turns off again. HELP....this is ridiculous. I'm ready to just leave Verizon and go to a different phone service. The last time this happened, I drove an hour to the verizon store and they told me i would have to call verizon myself. How can i do that when the phone won't even turn on??????

Oh my! I can certainly understand your concerns with making sure that your device information is backed up. It is always best to make sure that you have a recent back up just in case something happens. Based on the information that you have provided I would recommend uninstalling the current version of Blackberry Desktop Manager, and see if you can download the previous version that was working properly http://bit.ly/VPfK8f. I want to make a stop motion movie. But when I upload the pictures imovie automatically makes them "zoom in". instead of each picture just shwoing it zzoms in and out of each one which looks stupid when you're trying ot make a stop motion.
HELP?!Go to FILE/PROJECT PROPERTIES and change the default action for your project. It is currently set to Ken Burns. Change it to FIT (letterbox) or CROP (will fill the screen by cropping your photo.)
This will work for new photos you bring into the project. For photos already their, use the Rotate, Crop, Ken Burns Tool and select FIT or CROP. -
I have a problem with my Webmail, and Blackberry Tour
The Situation I have with my blackberry Tour and my Webmail is that whenever my ATT Yahoo Webmail receives emails, it displays it as opened automatically. I turned off the Email Reconcilication for the Wireless Reconcile, and thought that would solve the problem but it still would display as opened on the ATT Yahoo Webmail. But when I changed the password on the Webmail, it no longered displayed it as opened when it is received until I re-fixed the connection with my Blackberry Tour by changing it to the modified password. Also this problem did not come up when I was using Yahoo Webmail but only when I moved from Yahoo Webmail to ATT Yahoo Webmail only. I have posted the problem to ATT Yahoo Webmail already but I am posting one here, just in case if it is a problem with blackberry Tour.

Problems with Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Tour BlackBerry OS 4.7.1.61 update - I was anxious to download the update to see if it addressed the sticky trackball problems and the low volume issue when using a blue tooth device. However, in the process of updating my BB Tour yesterday, the install stopped on the 8th out 12 updates. After a couple of 'retrys', the BB error message on the desktop came up which instructed me to: i) disconnect the device, ii) restart the computer. iii) restart the loading process and, iV) restore my data by loading the loader back-up file using Restore. Unfortunately my Tour was left without any software and the Desktop manager couldn't recognize it. The error message on the Tour was 503. Called Verizon Wireless tech and bottom line, the only fix is a new Tour, which they're sending me. Anyone else having issues with the update? Also, does it address the trackball and blue tooth issues?
I had issues with the trackball and had to have my Tour replaced. I was told this model does not have a removable trackball so the entire phone has to be replaced. My current one is working OK but does stick a bit. Seems to get worse over time. My wife's tour is newer and so far she is not experiencing the problem. Have not experienced a problem with the Blue Tooth volume.
I have another issue with this upgrade that I am wondering if anyone else has seen. My wife has the Tour as well. She was prompted to do the upgrade and went through it. It appeared to work except it blew out her Contact Alerts. When we put them back in we can no longer get the sound to play when she receives an SMS message in her holster. Vibration works but doesn't do any good when it is in her purse. Phones calls, calendar alerts, alarms all work in holster. As soon as we delete the contact alert the default SMS alert will play in the holster. If she takes her phone out of the holster the Contact alert will play. My phone is still running 4.7.1.40 and this function works fine. I am thinking about trying to put her's back to my version if possible but not sure the best way to go about this -

I am new to digital photo - I have been a B&W film photographer for many years. I have a problem with a Macbook Air. It was working fine - I was using LR and a message came on the screen that said something like the memory was dangerously low. I stopped and tried to delete LR files. I couldn't do it. I closed the program and tried reopening and got the message that there is not enough memory available to open LR. I contacted Apple. They spent a half hour on the phone with me and eventually told me they didn't know how to help. The tech said that LR had gobbled up all the memory and said I should contact Adobe and ask where and how my photo files are stored and to delete them. I have several back-ups. Thanks - Arthur
This sort of error message only comes up for Lightroom when your hard disk is full. Indeed this has nothing to do with internal memory as that will be intelligently be dealt with. If you have a mac Book Air that is not so surprising as the cheapest versions come with very small hard disks and if you shoot raw with any recent camera, you'll fill up your hard disk very quickly and you can probably only store a few months of pictures if you are a typical photographer. So the bottom line is that you need to create some room on your hard disk. You should move some of your originals to an external hard disk. You can also delete some of your backup copies of your catalog file that Lightroom automatically generates every few days and that quickly gobble up hard disk space. So first figure out how full your hard disk is. To see that, go to the apple menu, hit -> About this Mac -> More info->Storage. You should see your internal hard disk on top and you'll find that it is almost entirely full with photos. Now find your Lightroom catalog file using Finder. It is usually in a folder in the Pictures folder in your home directory. You should see a Lightroom 5 Catalog.lrcat file, a previews file and a folder called backups. Inside the backups folder, you'll find a lot of subfolders. They have names that show the dates the backups were created. If you have backups of your entire hard disk, you can delete these backups when they are older than a few months. I usually only keep the last 4 around. Just drag the folders into the trash can on the dock on the bottom of your screen and empty the trash. This will probably free up enough space that Lightroom will already run again. Now start thinking about where you will want to store older images. If you have a good USB3 or Thunderbolt hard disk that is probably the best option. Here’s How to Move Images to Another Drive in Lightroom. « Julieanne Kost's Blog If that doesn't work because you don't have enough hard drive space to run Lightroom yet, here is another set of instructions to move your files using the finder to the other hard disk: How do I move only my photos to another hard drive, leaving the catalog where it is? - The Lightroom Queen. If you follow that, as soon as you confirm all your images are on the new hard disk, you can delete them from your internal one. She is not so clear about that part but if you don't delete the originals that you moved off you don't free up space. You should move the folder structure over to the new hard disk and then reconnect the folders in Lightroom. That should make it refind all your images.
That said, if you are uncomfortable with the computer in itself, your best bet is to find a local photography club. There is invariably a Lightroom savvy person in there that could help you move your files. That might be your best bet if you are uncomfortable moving these yourself. A general mac savvy person like you would find at an Apple store or so generally will not be able to help you with this except when they are photographers themselves and know Lightroom. You might get lucky with that. -
Does anyone share my problem with atv3 I can play films through iTunes without any problems. When I start playing music using the remote app on my iPhone 3GS after around 5 tracks in it just stops playing and seems to lose my connection. Hoping this is human error on my part?
I think this is probably a sign that your network could be better than it is.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. -
Hi have had problems with photo's and films going onto a 2010 Apple Classic mp3. Have managed to sort photo's but the films won't copy and comes up with message videos not copied cannot be played on this ipod

You could try creating an iPod version of the films.
Use CTRL and B to display the Menu bar shown above. Alternatively, use the ALT key, followed by the F key, the W key and finally the I (eye) key - that's (menu)/File/Create New Version/Create iPod or iPhone version. -
When I make a project in iDVD'09, there are sometimes - at voluntary moments - green blocs with points flickering in some scenes of my iMovie-film.
In i-Movie there is no problem with this film, but the problem begins by exporting to iDVD and making there a project.

Can be a problem that get multiplied and visible when iDVD encode for DVD.
A. See if problem can be isolated to a single frame in the movie and re-import this clip and see if it's better
B. When free space on Start-Up hard disk goes low - strange things like this might occure. I never go under 25Gb free space on this Start-Up Mac OS hard disk !
C. Does this problem arises what ever encoding quality You use ?

When I import the films in iMovie I have been asked if I want to change to frame rate 30 (instead of 25). I have chosen 30.

Problems with importing films in iMovie11. Who knows the answer?
How can I import films from my Sony DCR-SR36 videocamera in iMovie11? I've problems with trying this. Only once iMovie recognized my camera but didn't import sound. The other times I tried I used the import function of iMovie11 and saw the several MPEG files but weren't able to import them. Who can help me out, or is it not possible in any way?
