Problem with Enter Query

Hi all,
I'm facing a problem with the Enter_Query. The problem is when i press F7, all the details in a form (Except primary key i.e.., Document Reference) are cleared (After asking for Do you want to save the changes). When I try to do F8, It is searching for the same Document Reference. When I try to find out the error, I got the description as the function key is not allowed. The Document reference is not getting cleared unless i exit the form. I'm using Oracle 10g, Forms and Reports (6i Version).
Regards,
Alok Dubey

Unless you are using a onetime only where clause then the DEFAULT_WHERE remains as it is a property of the block. This will not be cleared by an F7 unless you explicitly clear it by setting it to NULL.
Or
I've misunderstood what you say.
Are you saying that you have an item that is not being cleared? If so is it on the same block as the one you are clearing?

    In some applications, such as Yahoo and this message block right now !!, when composing a message, the arrow keys and delete, backspace keys become non responsive. Various ones will work on a random basis.
    I am getting double "carriage returns" also. Maybe this is why in Omegle when I press ENTER, it will not post a chat message; it will bring up a scroll box and for me to post the comment, I have to use the mouse to click ENTER.

  • Problem with Hierarchical query

    Gurus,
    I have a problem with hierarchical query, which I am pasting below.
    select sys_connect_by_path (Fname,'/')"PATH",Fname,id,level
    ,(SELECT COUNT(ID)-1 FROM (SELECT CONNECT_BY_ROOT LNAME LNAME,ID FROM CMT_PERSON
    START WITH ID = 'emplo000000000126009'
    CONNECT BY PRIOR ID=MANAGER_ID)
    GROUP BY FNAME)"COUNT"
    from CMT_PERSON
    WHERE
    LEVEL <= 4
    ----And ID='emplo000000000001877'
    CONNECT BY PRIOR id=manager_id
    ----AND NOT LEVEL > 3
    START WITH ID='emplo000000000126009'
    As per the result, count is getting repeated for all the levels. That is, count is coming 16100 for every level, Can you please help where exactly I am going wrong
    Regards

    You do not say anything about what count you want to get?
    A wild guess could be:
    select
       sys_connect_by_path (p1.fname, '/') "PATH",
       p1.fname,
       p1.id,
       level,
       (select count (id) - 1
        from
           (select connect_by_root p2.lname lname, p2.id
            from cmt_person p2
            start with p2.id = p1.id
            connect by prior p2.id = p2.manager_id)
        ) "COUNT"
    from cmt_person p1
    where level <= 4
    connect by prior p1.id = p1.manager_id
    start with p1.id = 'emplo000000000126009';Since your inner query simply starts with the hardcoded employee id, naturally it will give you the same count.
    My guess is your inner query should start with the person id from the outer query?
    If that is not the case - please state in plain english what you are trying to accomplish ;-)

    It also seems that quick queries don't work with SQL92 sqlBuilder.
    I get the following error:

  • Problem with update-query

    Hallo,
    i have a problem with following query. I wanna update the columns in the nutzung table. There are 7 columns but my query updates the geometry that in all columns is the same geometry or I can not update because the query gives more than 1 row in the subquery.
    update nutzung
    set geometrie=(SELECT F1840_GEOM FROM UG_F1840_GEOM,Nutzung WHERE NUTZUNG.OBJNR=UG_F1840_GEOM.F1840_OBJNR AND GETFEATUREID(UG_F1840_GEOM.F1840_FID) IN(SELECT MSLINK FROM FEATURE WHERE FCODE like '%0000'));
    Maybe I need the ug_f1840_geom table in the update query. Don't know how to change the query.
    Regards, Katrin

    hi it's me again .I am getting error for this
    statement
    if(numOfUsers>0)
    stmt.executeUpdate("update defaultchatrooms set
    s set nodename =
    '"+chatTopic+"'('"+numOfUsers+"')'");
    1. Your update string looks like this:
    update defaultchatrooms set nodename = 'someChatTopic'('0')'
    Does that look right to you?
    2. This will update the column nodename in every row in the table defaultchatrooms. Aren't you missing a "where" condition?

    >
    I am not sure what business process you are describing here - is it some kind of third-party sales order? If so, your join is wrong.
    From VB E P, firled BANFN and BNFPO you can go to table EBAN, where in field EBELN you will find the number of the purchase order (if somebody already had an MRP+Me58 run over the PR) which will lead you to table EKKO, and EKPO.
    So what we have here (essentially is):
    VBAK -> VBAP -> VBEP -> EBAN -> EKKO -> EKPO
    But that only solves one of your problems - you still have a long way to go to get invoices, partner and partner roles into there and I am beginning to ask myself what exactly it is you want to evaluate.
    Care to explain?

  • Reporting designer - problem with insertin query

    hi, I have problem with inserting query into reporting designer, when i do it there occurs metadata error and the system write check query, but query is ok, there are no variables. Have you any idea whats the problem.
    thanx

    I had a similar problem after "upgrading" to SAPGUI 7.10, except my failure was in the BEx Analyzer. (We are still using BW 3.5 SP 18.)
    The solution I found was in SAP Note 1039191 which addresses this problem for both the Analyzer and the Query Designer, and includes a revised "wdbsPres.dll" file as a workaround. After downloading and installing this file, the problem was resolved.
    BTW, I have asked SAP when this will be fixed in a future FEP, but they have so far only given me a very ambiguous reply suggesting that I try it on another PC.
    Hope this helps...

  • Problem with entering URL

    Ever since the last update or two I seem to have an irritating problem with entering URLs. If I'm navigating a site and modify the URL manually in the address field and hit enter, the URL reverts back automatically to the previous one instead of accepting the new modified entry.
    For example if I'm on www.site.com/path/path and go to the URL bar and remove the last '/path' and hit enter, the browser seems to 'remember' and take me to the previous URL path, i.e. www.site.com/path/path. It doesn't matter whether the deleted text forms part of the URL path or whether its parameters after the path, or even if I modify the URL to something like www.site.com/path/anotherpath.
    Once it starts 'remembering' there seems to be no way of getting around this except to close the browser down and start again. I've noticed this behavior on FF20.0.1 and also on FF21. It happens on all 3 of the PCs I use (2 at home, one at work). I'n not sure if its being caused directly by FF or the NoScript plugin (the latter seems unlikely).
    Is there a setting somewhere to modify this behavior, or is it a bug?

    i couldn't find any documentation for it either, however after testing it, it appears that when browser.urlbar.autoFill.typed is set to '''true''' it means that only addresses you've once typed into the url-bar manually get autofilled, when browser.urlbar.autoFill.typed is set to '''false''' then all addresses that are stored in your history no matter if you have typed them in once manually or visited them through a link on a website.
    browser.urlbar.autoFill will generally switch the autocomplete feature in the address bar on or off.

     Hi   .
        I was creating the  pass the values t in temp tables  though s sis package vs2012 .
      First I was taken on executive SQL TASK.
     IN EXCUTIVE SQL TASK  . I was write the stored proce:
    Sp;
    reate  procedure  USP_GETEMP2333
    AS
    begin
    Select  eid,ename,dept,salary from emp
    end;
    create table #temp(eid int,ename varchar(20),dept varchar(20),salary int)
      insert into #temp
       exec USP_GETMP02333
       go.
     It was executive correctly.
     I was taken another sequence container. In the sequence container iam creating one   executive  sql
    In 2nd excutive sql task: sql statements is
    if object_id('emp_fact_sal') is not null
     drop table emp_fact_sal
    select eid,ename as emp_name,sal_bar=
    case when salary<=5000 then 'l'
    when salary >5000 and salary<=7000 then 'm'
    else
    'h'
    end
    into emp_fact_sal from #temp.
     and one falt flies  it was taken to designation .
     iam changing  all  connection properties:
     in oldeb connection:
    in excutive sal task properties .
    delay validation is true,
    and retain connection maner is also true,
    and package mode is 64 bit is false.
     But iwas excutive in 2nd excutive ql task .
    Iam getting this type of errors,
                    [Execute SQL Task] Error: Executing the query " if object_id('emp_fact_sal') is not null
     drop ta..." failed with the following error: "Invalid object name '#Temp'.". Possible failure reasons: Problems with the query, "ResultSet" property not set correctly, parameters not set correctly, or connection not established
    correctly.
     Please help me

    Arthur suggestion works but you shouldnt even be doing this on a SQL Task.
    Use a data flow task. You'll have better control over the data that is being transfered and get better performance because no staging table will be used.
    Just because there are clouds in the sky it doesn't mean it isn't blue. But someone will come and argue that in addition to clouds, birds, airplanes, pollution, sunsets, daltonism and nuclear bombs, all adding different colours to the sky, this
    is an undocumented behavior and should not be relied upon.

  • Problems with db query in activity in OBPM 10GR3

    I wrote the following query in the activity itself
    INSERT INTO TEMP_TABLE(NAME)
    VALUES (testName);
    It worked fine in DEV environment.
    But when I deployed the project to QA and connected to the db in QA, it gave me an error:-
    ---A SQL Exception has occured in Cause f SQL Excepion: java.sql.SQLException: [BEA][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-00942: table or view does not exist SQLState: 42S02 SQLErrorCode: 942 Message: [BEA][Oracle JDBC Driver][Oracle]ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    Why is that?
    I understand that if I use DynamicSQL.executeQuery(sentence : sqlQuery, implname : implname);
    it will work even if I change to connect from DEV To QA
    But if we use the query directly in the activity itself , it does not work in QA.
    Why is that?
    how do I fix that to work in all environments?

    Hi Dan,
    I did not understand you.
    I do the following:-
    1) Create an external resource with a generic name say TEMP_DB and give all the Oracle db credentials, username, password, SID, schema and port. This is connected.
    2) Then I Catalogue this in my Catalog using Catalogue Components-->SQL.
    3) I select the "Use an existing configuration" option and select my newly created external resource which I named as "TEMP_DB"
    4) When I hit next, it fetches me the db information
    5) In that I select the db schema name and introspect the tables in it.
    6) These tables are then entered into my catalog
    7) Finally I use a direct BPM query instead of using Fuego.Sql.DynamicSQL.executeQuery() in my activity itself.
    So the problem is that, even if I change the External Resources config giving it a generic name, I have selected the same DEV schema name. The schema is directly introspected which I directly use in my query in my activity
    as oppsed to using DynamicSQL.executeQuery() where I don't specify the schema name . I just specify the External generic resource name which is TEMP_DB.
    But I don't want to use DyanamicSQL.executeQuery(). So how do I resolve this problem with using it?

  • Problem with Enter key and JOptionPane in 1.4

    Hi,
    I had a problem with an application I was working on.
    In this application, pressing [Enter] anywhere within the focused window would submit the information entered into the form that was contained within the frame.
    The application would then try to validate the data. If it was found to be invalid, it would pop up a JOptionPane informing the user of that fact.
    By default, pressing [Enter] when a JOptionPane is up will activate the focused button (in most cases, the [OK] button) thus dismissing the dialog.
    In JDK 1.3 this worked fine. But in JDK 1.4, this has the result of dismissing the dialog and opping it up again. This is because the [Enter] key still works on the frame behind the JOptionPane and thus tries to validate it again, which results in another invalid dialog msg popping up.
    The only way to get out is to use the mouse or the Esc key.
    Now, in the application I put in a workaround that I was not very happy with. So, to make sure it wasn't the application itself, I created a test which demonstrates that it still misbehaves.
    Here it is.
    import java.awt.Container;
    import java.awt.FlowLayout;
    import java.awt.event.ActionEvent;
    import java.awt.event.KeyEvent;
    import javax.swing.AbstractAction;
    import javax.swing.JButton;
    import javax.swing.JComponent;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JOptionPane;
    import javax.swing.JTextField;
    import javax.swing.KeyStroke;
    import javax.swing.UIManager;
    import javax.swing.UnsupportedLookAndFeelException;
    import javax.swing.WindowConstants;

    public class FocusProblemTest extends AbstractAction
         private static JFrame frame;
         public FocusProblemTest()
              super();
              putValue(NAME, "Test");
         public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
              JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(frame, "This is a test.");
         public static void main(String[] args)
              FocusProblemTest action= new FocusProblemTest();
              try
                   UIManager.setLookAndFeel(UIManager.getSystemLookAndFeelClassName());
              catch (Exception e)
                   e.printStackTrace();
              frame= new JFrame("Test");
              frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(WindowConstants.DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE);
              Container contents= frame.getContentPane();
              contents.setLayout(new FlowLayout());
              JTextField field= new JTextField("Test");
              field.setColumns(30);
              JButton  button= new JButton(action);
              KeyStroke enterKey = KeyStroke.getKeyStroke(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER, 0, true);
              button.getInputMap(JComponent.WHEN_IN_FOCUSED_WINDOW).put(enterKey, "test");
              button.getActionMap().put("test", action);
              contents.add(field);
              contents.add(button);
              frame.pack();
              frame.setVisible(true);
    }Does anyone have any solution to this problem?

    I know that focus management has changed alot.
    Based on my experimentation a while back, in 1.4 it still believes that the JFrame is the window in focus, even though a JOptionPane is currently in front of it (unless I misinterpreted what was going on). Thus, the frame seems to get the keyboard event and re-invoke the action.
