Problem with External X-FI xmod sound card after firmware upd

Hi, i have had this X-FI xmod external sound card for a few months now without any problem, i do a lot of editing in sound forge which also has never been a problem, i noticed on the suppoprt site that a new firmware was availible; Creative Xmod Firmware .8.07056?which, i downloaded and installed, but since sound forge just tells me i have no sound device connected and wont play any tracks, although win amp and media player still seem ok at playing files, i also dont seem to have any user interface on my pc does anyone know if this is right or do you just use the controls on the xmod, i have found even the vol slider on the xmod doesn't turn the vol up / down now either. any help would be appreciated. James

Problems with Premiere Pro 2.0: sound lost after clip pasting

To integrate small projects to one bigger Project, it used to work well with Premiere Pro 1.5 in the following way: import small projects into the main sequence of the new project and, in parallel, copy the clips from the timeline of the small projects and past them into the timeline of the new project. However, I am encountering the following problems while trying to do the same thing with Premiere Pro 2.0:
·        Video and sound of every pasted clip becomes unlinked.
·        Although the sound was there (also shows in the wave view) right after the pasting and it can be rendered, but the audio Information gets lost as soon as I exit the new project (saved beforehand). If I re-open this new project, although the timeline shows all the pasted sound clips, but there is information in them - no sound (the wave views show only straight lines).
·        As well, some of the video and audio effect settings get lost (e.g. cross fading), but the effects such as brightness and contrast settings always remain.
·        At least one thing seems to be sure: the imported files themselves are ok. Newly created clips in the timeline from those imported files (dragged into the timeline) are fine - no information lost.

Though not described in the English HELP, but in the German HELP: I have to press the Shift and T Keys. It works in my case with the following steps:
1.     Mark the corresponding audio and video tracks
2.     Put CTI over the clip
3.     Press shift + T
4.     Double click the clip
5.     Eventually I have to repeat and press the keys shift +T again.

Problem with External 2.1 digital speakers

Anybody have any problems with external digital speakers connected to the SPDIF connection? I have a 1215-600XT, and I tried connecting my old DELL Boston Acoustic 2.1 speakers. They worked, but any time a "sound" played, a loud pop would follow the end of the sound track. If its multiuple sounds (i.e. an application that is making numerous alert sounds) I get multiple pops. It even happens at the endf of music tracks. It was so annoying, I stopped using the speakers. before I invest in another set of speakers, want to know I am not wasting my time.
Also, anyway of getting the soundcard to support digital 2.1 or other sound? The set-up screen only shows stereo for external speakers and no way of adding more.

If you need a RMA, you will need to contact Customer Support either via email or phone. Also, it may be a fault with the sub and not just the cable alone, anyway contact Customer Support and they will be able to assist further.

Problem with new Scandisk 32GB CompactFlash Memory Card Extreme Pro 600x UDM

Canon provides an XF utility to read, combine, and export video files from the card to the computer. The utility works well with every CF card that I have used until I bought a new Scandisk CF card. The utility can access the XF files on the card but it cannot play them. Actually it does start to play then stops and starts. When I try to export a file to the computer it will not finish with even the smallest file. There is no problem with any of my other CF cards. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Now that I am in the correct forum the question is for those users who use the Canon XF Utility - is there any reason for it to act differently with one type of CF card as opposed to another? I have sort of solved the problem by using the PP Media Browser instead of the Canon Utility to read my CF cards.

I have just purchased Logic Pro X and it doesn't seem to want to work with my Tascam us-122L sound card. Do i need to purchase a new one and if so, any advice on a reasonable priced one?

Problems with external context mapping

I am having the following problems with external context mapping from one WD component to another.
Problem description:
In the <i>Component Interfaces</i> I have defined a WD interface "InfA".
In the <i>interface controller</i> of this compoenent,I have ContextA and attributeA(cardinality 1..1).The contextA is marked as an "Input Element".
Now my webdynpro componentB adds InfA as used component.In componentB I decalre a contextB with attributeB and map it to contextA to set up the external context mapping.
Now I expect that if any webdynpro component implements this WD interface InfA ,he has access to contextA with the data getting filled from contextB.
After i have created the component for the used component I try to fill values in the source node contextB thru this code:
wdContext.currentContextB.setB(value);
But in the runtime I keep getting error nullPointerException for nodeContextB,suggesting that the mapping has not been completed.
Can anyone suggest due to what the error can come ,and, if its a webdynpro bug ,is there a workaround??

Valery : I personally checked by doing the example, if the names of value attribute are different in the child's interface and parents component controller then it throws the exception.
Sourav: NullPointer Exception is thrown when something is not properly initialised, if in the main component the cardinality of mapped origin is 1.1 then you need to access it element directly like:
wdContext.currentParentNodeElement().setFname("Abhijeet");
wdContext.currentParentNodeElement().setLname("M");
i will suggest just check out if you are declaring some element of value node and without initialising taking its use or what?
if this doesnt solve your problem, please post the expanded exception.

Problem with external punchout in SRM Server 713

We upgrade from SRM_SERVER 701 SP 04 to SRM_SERVER 713 SP 02, now we have a problem with external catalog, we did not change anything in standard call structure, however now when the user access to external catalog, select a product and "checkout", SRM returns to shopping cart screen without products and no message are register in log in transaction code SLG1.

we made some test with parameter BYPASS_INB_HANDLER, set as 'X' but this not solve our issue.
We have an implementation in badi BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to map product category, even if I set an external breakpoint in this implementation, system does not pass through it, also we test with this implementation inactive and behavior is the same, nothing transfer to shopping cart
Does anyone know what's missing?

Thank you for your answer, but as I told, If I set an external breakpoint it does not stop for debugging, so I can't see table as you recomended. This process (debugging) is familiar to me, in last version I can do it.

Hi. I have a problem with external editing preferences. If I add Photoshop as an external editor, it won't launch when selected, if I add it as an additional external editor it will. Why? How can I fix this as I need to use Photoshop and another program as the additional external editor.
I use a Mac running OS X (10.8.5) and PS CS4 and LR 5.7. Any ideas on a fix? Thanks in advance.

I don't know why Photoshop won't start. However, it's possible to create external editor presets using the additional external editor tools. There are instructions on how to do this in the Lightroom help. You could assign Photoshop and create one preset, and then assign another program and create another preset.
I don't know if deleting your preferences would fix the problem or not. It can sometimes fix other problems.

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Driver problem with SB LIve 5.1 Platinum card

This card is fine even at 6 to 7 years old, however after installing Adobe Audition 3 to do some mixing for gaming I noticed the front speaker headphone jack had no sound. I can't say if Audition was the fault or not but I did remove the program and all entries in the registry using the microsoft? tool. I have reinstalled the SB drivers for this device 3 times and after a fresh driver install the jack works perfectly but after shutting down and re starting the next day the no sound problem is back and nothing I do corrects it. At the rear of the card the output is just fine and I can even go up to the 5. surround system headphone jack and it is fine, just the front li've dri've is no sound. There is no static or any indication that something may be wrong with the jack , when it works it is perfect.
Is there a registry entry that may be corrupting that causes this. I have the DVD sound turned off in the hardware driver section as it should be to hear from the front jack. If I re installed the drivers again for this card I would have sound at the front jack, so who do you have to know in Creative to get some help with this. I am dissapointed that a software issue is not important enough to give support to a past product. I use four of these cards and the next time I choose new cards you can bet I will give a lot of thought to the support. I don't want a new card just some drivers that work.

I disabled the onboard audio ac97.
I checked the sound card in my friend's PC.
It worked.
when using creative diagnosis, it says hardware working, drivers properly installed but
while checking the speakers i am not able to listen to "Left Channel" or "Right Channel" etc.
I my friend's system, the same card worked.
Speakers Creative PC works LX520 5. speakers work...
So the card works.
My doubt is
PCI slot is working or not, but i tried with all 3 slots.
If PCI slot doesn't work, then my os Win98 and WinXp won' t have shown the "New device PCI Multimedia Audio device found", it is not the case , I recognises the card, installs the driver.
Will there be any specific patch or Hotfix for Krypton BKS700 Motherboard ?

Problems With External HDs On Blue & White G3

I have a Blue & White G3 that I have had no problems with over the past 7 years until recently. About 2 months ago a Maxtor external Firewire drive that I have all my music stored on died on me. I recovered the music using DiskWarrior and reformatted the drive, but it died again a few weeks ago so I bought a new drive from OWC. About a week after getting the new drive it disappeared from the desktop and Disk Utility said there were problems with the directory. Tech Tool Pro solved this problem and I didn't think much of it even though I probably should have. Yesterday I was preparing an old LaCie external HD to be the backup drive for my music. I went to format the drive, but I keep getting input/output errors in Disk Utility, and now I can't mount the drive at all. Now today, everything in my new OWC drive disappeared. I was able to see the folders, but as I clicked on each one they all disappeared. I am now trying to recover the files using Tech Tool Pro, but I am worried now this is a larger problem with my system as that is three HDs in a few months that have had major problems, including a brand new drive. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the problem?

What about the USB drive, though? Do you think that might have been a coincidence? And if it's the Firewire port do you think the other port might resolve the issue, or should I go with a PCI card? I'd rather not spend the money on a card if I'm not certain that's the issue.

Problem with 5300 and 2 GB memory card

Hi,
I just bought 5300 phone and 2 gb micro sd card, sandisk.
And I am now storing music files to the card via usb connection and phone is shown to pc as a disk.
It transfers 990 MB of music and after that is says card is full.
From gallery it shows memory card as 2 gb card, and full status is 990 MB, free fine also. I tried transfer also with music manager same result. Like the 1 gb is the limit somehow.
Is it ?

However - something to try is to see if your card works without problems on a PC (via USB card reader) or laptop (some have memory card slots built in)
Lastly on Nokia's 5300 webpage it states that they only recommend using authorised cards ... it might be worth seeing if you experience the same issue with Nokia's own 2Gb microSD card ?

Error code 36 (problems with external hard drive)

I have just upgraded to Yosemite and am now having major problem with my external western digital hard drive. I cannot create new folders and when I hit command N I get error code 36. I also cannot move files from one folder to the next. When I try to move them I get the error message: "The operation cannot be completed because a file of that name already exists" and that simply isn't true. None of the files' names exist in the other folder.

Ok, It appears to be the fault of Western Digital. I ejected the hard drive and then plugged it back in and it said that the drive was broken but I could still read the files and it told me to save the files on another disk and reformat. So it was just a coincidence that I upgraded to Yosemite at the same time that my external hard drive broke.

Problem with rotation and keyboard click sound

Ok, there's still a problem with the rotation and keyboard click sound and I thought I had the problem fixed.
It's a serious bug when you want the keyboard click sound enbabled without having the rotation locked. I noticed this bug started when I had the previous iosinstalled 7.0.6.
Everytime I wanted to enable the keyboard click sound, I have to always go to settings and have lock rotation checked. And it would stay locked.
If I wanted to rotate my iPad, I have to have mute enabled, but no keyboard click sound.
I know it sounds confusing. I'm already confused... beh.

I completely forgot about that.
