Problem with fax t38 protocol

i have an mpls nework with equipment cisco 2821, 2901 and 2801, and i have problems with fax calls, i configured the fax protocol t38 in all routers but when i want to send a fax to the 2821 equipment from either 2801 and 2901, the protocol t38 is not working and the fax call use cisco protocol (although t38 is configured in all routers). the calls betwen 2801 and 2901 works ok, and from 2821 to 2801/2901 works ok too.
any idea of whats happens? do you think is a problem of ios version?

I tried to use ls-redundancy 0 but - no result. When the faxes tring to connect to each other - i can hear the tones, but it looks like short tone and then silence.
Also i use the following commadns to solve the broblem:
-fax nfs 000000 at voip peer, fax interface-type and fax interface-type fax-mail. But no result also.

It's difficult for me to offer anymore than generalized advice but I'll try to be helpful.
I'd start by removing the existing modem and restarting the computer. One of the error messages mentioned PCI Slot 1. This is probably the modem. If ALL the error messages go away it's a pretty good indication that the modem is the problem and replacement is in order. I would attempt simply re-seating the modem in it's slot first however and restarting.
I'm pretty sure that the proper drivers would be found automatically for the existing modem. If not, there's a rather generalized Readme file and a program called HXFSetup.exe which is probably the program you would need to run if required.
While you're in the computer, disconnecting and reconnecting things might be better than just a visual inspection. Twisting the cooling fan housing on the CPU with moderate force shouldn't hurt anything and who knows?
If it turns out that the modem is the problem (which I doubt), installing the other modem shouldn't be a problem, assuming it fits and you have the drivers for it. Again, good luck.

P.S. If you haven't already done so, Google all the error messages and see if there seems to be any common element. There are diagnostic programs available on the web but I've never found one that helped me with a trouble, perhaps someone has and can make a recommendation.

Problems with the "comm" protocol on Nokia 6630

I am trying to write a simple MIDlet for my Nokia 6630 phone using the "comm" protocol. The problem is that System.getProperty( "microedition.commports" ) returns "null" and when I call Connector.open( "comm:0;baudrate=9000" ); I get javax.microedition.io.ConnectionNotFoundException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com/symbian/midp/io/protocol/comm/ Protocol. My MIDlet works fine in the emulator and it returns the available com ports.
So my question is does the Nokia 6630 phone supports the "comm" protocol?
P.S. I am using the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit 2.3 beta

I don't believe I can solve your problem, but I'll warn you that calling native code from an EJB (which is what you are doing when you call into the serial api), is directly dis-allowed by the EJB spec.

Some probleme with the MVR protocol

In order to broadcast some video on different VLAN, I use the MVR protocol on switch 2950 and 3560. This solution works, but I have some problemes when the switch reboot or when I do some intervention on the port (unblock an err-disabled interface, make a "no shut" for example). In those case, I must reactivate the MVR. The multicast flow reaches the switch, but the users can't access to it. I must write this sequence in configuration mode :

When I write those instructions, everything works. This solution is OK if I have 1 switch, but not on an entire network. I don't understand why this protocol don't start correctly, like the others process.
To be more specific, the IOS version for the 2950 is IOS (tm) C2950 Software (C2950-I6Q4L2-M), Version 12.1(22)EA9.

A couple of things to check are
1- make sure pim is enabled on all subnets/vlans that has a client wishing to receive the stream.
2 - make sure that the ttl value on the application is high enough if it is crossing vlans.

Problem with protocol.jar with weblogic

atg10.0.3 and weblogic 11g on 64bit linux.
I've been plagued by this problem with ATG's protocol jar. While it loads the jar when starting up startWeblogic.sh it does not get loaded when starting a managed server thus i get the following errors:

Following instructions has led me to place the protocol.jar from DAS/lib to the root of my domain directory and then apply the classpath entry in startWeblogic.sh script. protocol.jar shows up at the top of this scripts SDTOUT. But I cannot seem to get it included in the production.out logs when starting the managed server.
Any ideas?

Yes I figured this out. The problem was the version of weblogic. I was using 1.3.6 when it should have been 1.3.5. After changing out the version, I no longer had problems with protocol.jar.

i use windows 7 64bit and downloaded the latest drivers!i can send fax,print,scan manually from my fax.I can print,scan from pc but i cant send fax!i use send fax wizard,then i check it and all is fine!i open send fax program from hp i put a document,a number then i press send fax,..while it tries to add it on the queqe of printer for some strange reason it is cancelled!I use usb cable for connection on my machine!also while i try to send fax via pc no dial sound or vision!

I am Sorry I was unclear -- You only need a phone cable other than your usual phone cable if it says so in the instructions. I did not read all the instructions for your Fax setup. That is for you to do. Smiling.
Some printers come with instructions and the special phone cable that must be used with the Fax installation. My printer does say this and did come with a special cable. Other printers may do the same. If your printer / fax instructions do not say anything about this, then your might just ignore what I said.
You might be able to get it to work by just starting all over and doing it more than one time. I have been told by people that have had problems with Fax that sometimes just the act of going through the setup more than once seems to help.
You may have to install your printer's software again if you have not done so recently.
You may need to restart everything, including the router for your home network -- this can be a "sticking" point when you are setting up something new.
You could try a different phone line -- or a different phone cable.
I am not an expert on this and it does appear from the instructions that the Guide was written when XP was the primary OS -- I suppose it is possible that there could be issues with connecting this to Windows 7.

Can anyone help; re: Faxing problems with my 6200 all in one

Our HP office jet 6210 which we use only for faxing and minor printing intermittenly goes crazy with blinking red and amber lights
when a fax is being received or when we are sending one. When the fax fails and we stop the blinking lights, it self tests then turns off. Sometimes when it does this we get an error message printed that says "Power Failure." The party being faxed gets 1/2 a fax or 1 page out of 5. I'll unplug it from the electric and plug it back in and then it will work fine for a day or two. We have tried faxing from the glass when we have problems and that seems to work when self-feed faing doesn't. We have not installed any drivers as this is not plugged into a computer but stands alone with it's own designated phone line.
Any ideas??? The machine is 5 years old and has never given us any trouble until now. Is it time to upgrade?

I have a new photosmart plus printer B209a CD035A and I have never been able to set up the fax, I get a message saying that the phone line is not connected to the modem, the phone is connected to my modem or I would not have an internet connection, perhaps I am not understanding it, I have the printer set up wireless now but it was wired before and I still could not set it up, I purchased it in April this year along with my new desktop Elite HPE-150f model AY603AA, using windows7 64 bit, now I have a problem with the alignment, all the fonts are cut off down each side which makes it hard to read instructions, can someone give me some help with this. we have problem with access thgrough SMTP, IMAP, POP3 protocols in CAS 2013.
If I test connection to SMTP 25 port from other computer, session end quickly.
Test from CAS2013 to localhost or public IP is OK (similar also for IMAP and POP3).
Receive connectors are with defaults settings, firewall is disabled.
Service Microsoft Frontend Transport Services restarted, but no success.
Certificate is assigned to IMAP, POP3, SMTP, IIS.
IIS and HTTP(s), protocols are OK. Clients can connects only thgrough web, mobile (ActiveSync), or with Outlook with proxy.
Do you have some tip, what to test?
If I create new testing receive connector on port 26 for anonymous, behaviour is same, quick disconnecting.

Scanner and fax problems with the Officejet 7410 AIO

I have Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 64 bit and I installed the basic drivers for the network of the Officejet 7410 AIO printer and I checked that all its functions worked properly.
Now, the functionality of the scanner and fax do not work more as in the "Devices and Printers" not appear more their relative icons. How come? How do I install them manually?

I see that you are having scanning, and faxing problems with your HP Officejet 7410 on Windows 7 SP1.
I would recommend the following:
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, to diagnose the issue.
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Re-install the software using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Problems with running EIGRP as PE-CE routing protocol 2

Dear all,
I am facing with the exact problem as a previous user of running EIGRP as the PE-CE routing protocol for a MPLS VPN customer, but in different hardware. The PE router is a 7609-S RSP720-3CXL-GE running IOS 12.2(33)SRC3.
(When I have 33 prefixes or more in the VRF table on the PE, and I try to advertise this network to the CE router (by redistributing BGP into EIGRP), the EIGRP process begins to flap.
I can't advertise prefix more that 32 subnets at a time why?????
The very weird part here, is that when I do debug ip eigrp on the PE and the CE, I can see that the PE router is sending the routes to the CE, but on the CE I can see nothing.)
In my case there is 16 prefixes. When redistributing BGP into EIGRP on allready adjasent EIGRP neighbors everything works perfect, until some side clears it then it begans flaping. On PE router debug is show "retry limit exceeded" ,on CE "Interface Goodbye received"
If solution will be same what software should I use?

Let me ask a few questions:
What is the link layer technology that interconnects the PE and CE that are currently experiencing these issues?
Are there any devices inside the PE-CE path that could at least possibly (and randomly) block multicasts and/or large packets?
Is it possible to modify the EIGRP configuration both on PE and CE to manual neighbor definition using the neighbor commands? This would force all EIGRP comunication between the PE and CE to run as unicast, possibly avoiding some issues with multicast packet delivery.
Is it possible for you to post some show commands from both the PE and CE? I would be interested in seeing the show ip interface, show interfaces, show running-config interface regarding the particular interfaces on PE and CE that connect to each other, and also, I would like to see the EIGRP configuration on both devices.
I agree with the assessment of Mahesh - the preliminary information we have suggest that either the PE packets are not arriving at the CE, or the ACK packets from CE are not arriving back at the PE. Your own debug analysis furthermore revealed that there are no EIGRP Update packets arriving from the PE at the CE. Problems with MTU could indeed cause these problems but it is necessary to inspect the entire path between PE and CE.
