Problem with fax t38 protocol

i have an mpls nework with equipment cisco 2821, 2901 and 2801, and i have problems with fax calls, i configured the fax protocol t38 in all routers but when i want to send a fax to the 2821 equipment from either 2801 and 2901, the protocol t38 is not working and the fax call use cisco protocol (although t38 is configured in all routers). the calls betwen 2801 and 2901 works ok, and from 2821 to 2801/2901 works ok too.
any idea of whats happens? do you think is a problem of ios version?

Problem with Fax and ATA

It's difficult for me to offer anymore than generalized advice but I'll try to be helpful.
I'd start by removing the existing modem and restarting the computer. One of the error messages mentioned PCI Slot 1. This is probably the modem. If ALL the error messages go away it's a pretty good indication that the modem is the problem and replacement is in order. I would attempt simply re-seating the modem in it's slot first however and restarting.
I'm pretty sure that the proper drivers would be found automatically for the existing modem. If not, there's a rather generalized Readme file and a program called HXFSetup.exe which is probably the program you would need to run if required.
While you're in the computer, disconnecting and reconnecting things might be better than just a visual inspection. Twisting the cooling fan housing on the CPU with moderate force shouldn't hurt anything and who knows?
If it turns out that the modem is the problem (which I doubt), installing the other modem shouldn't be a problem, assuming it fits and you have the drivers for it. Again, good luck.

P.S. If you haven't already done so, Google all the error messages and see if there seems to be any common element. There are diagnostic programs available on the web but I've never found one that helped me with a trouble, perhaps someone has and can make a recommendation.

I tried to use ls-redundancy 0 but - no result. When the faxes tring to connect to each other - i can hear the tones, but it looks like short tone and then silence.
Also i use the following commadns to solve the broblem:
-fax nfs 000000 at voip peer, fax interface-type and fax interface-type fax-mail. But no result also.

I am Sorry I was unclear -- You only need a phone cable other than your usual phone cable if it says so in the instructions. I did not read all the instructions for your Fax setup. That is for you to do. Smiling.
Some printers come with instructions and the special phone cable that must be used with the Fax installation. My printer does say this and did come with a special cable. Other printers may do the same. If your printer / fax instructions do not say anything about this, then your might just ignore what I said.
You might be able to get it to work by just starting all over and doing it more than one time. I have been told by people that have had problems with Fax that sometimes just the act of going through the setup more than once seems to help.
You may have to install your printer's software again if you have not done so recently.
You may need to restart everything, including the router for your home network -- this can be a "sticking" point when you are setting up something new.
You could try a different phone line -- or a different phone cable.
I am not an expert on this and it does appear from the instructions that the Guide was written when XP was the primary OS -- I suppose it is possible that there could be issues with connecting this to Windows 7.

Can anyone help; re: Faxing problems with my 6200 all in one

Our HP office jet 6210 which we use only for faxing and minor printing intermittenly goes crazy with blinking red and amber lights
when a fax is being received or when we are sending one. When the fax fails and we stop the blinking lights, it self tests then turns off. Sometimes when it does this we get an error message printed that says "Power Failure." The party being faxed gets 1/2 a fax or 1 page out of 5. I'll unplug it from the electric and plug it back in and then it will work fine for a day or two. We have tried faxing from the glass when we have problems and that seems to work when self-feed faing doesn't. We have not installed any drivers as this is not plugged into a computer but stands alone with it's own designated phone line.
Any ideas??? The machine is 5 years old and has never given us any trouble until now. Is it time to upgrade?

I have a new photosmart plus printer B209a CD035A and I have never been able to set up the fax, I get a message saying that the phone line is not connected to the modem, the phone is connected to my modem or I would not have an internet connection, perhaps I am not understanding it, I have the printer set up wireless now but it was wired before and I still could not set it up, I purchased it in April this year along with my new desktop Elite HPE-150f model AY603AA, using windows7 64 bit, now I have a problem with the alignment, all the fonts are cut off down each side which makes it hard to read instructions, can someone give me some help with this. Scanner and fax problems with the Officejet 7410 AIO

I have Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 64 bit and I installed the basic drivers for the network of the Officejet 7410 AIO printer and I checked that all its functions worked properly.
Now, the functionality of the scanner and fax do not work more as in the "Devices and Printers" not appear more their relative icons. How come? How do I install them manually?

I see that you are having scanning, and faxing problems with your HP Officejet 7410 on Windows 7 SP1.
I would recommend the following:
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, to diagnose the issue.
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Re-install the software using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Problem with SAP Script FAX output

Hi Friends,
I have problem with SAP Script Fax output.
After I issued output using the messge type, the print preview format shows me correct alignments and the right data. But when I go to List display using the menu bar functions from the print preview screen, the list is showing me the right data, but all the alignments at the main window went wrong.
How do I rectify this problem? I need correct alignments in both form display and list display.

Problems with graphics inside fax & mail form

Hi everybody.
I've a problem with compiling some mail forms.
I've to load a logo inside a mail form that can be sent also as a fax.
I tried insert a .bmp image in different ways : graphic node, intranet URL, web URL, but I have always the same problems:
1)When I send the fax , even if the preview shows me the logo, the fax is always sent without logo.
2) Sometimes the preview doesn't load the image.

and then

This quote is about sending email in local network. And we can't receive any email from the outside email address. Addition if I wanna send email to internal email in Internet (we've just tried with email address in local network) What should I config in SAP and Exchange ?
By the way, Is SAP Server IP added to Relay Agent for sending or receiving mail ?

Hi,
This problem is a classic problem of mail routing via Exchange. Exchange like most mail servers use the domain part of the email address as a means to route mails. So I will make an assumption that your main company mail addrss is "User @ fes.com".
So when you send a mail to the "User @ fes.com mail" address the mail is delivered to your Outlook mail address as this is the default route for company.
(Q) So how do you get your Exchange server to relay the mail into the sending SAP system?
(A) The easiest way would be to setup and unique mail domain for your SAP system. I always recommend "user @ client.sid.company.com" which in your case would be "u1 @ 100.PRD.fes.com". You can then instruct Exchange to send any emails addressed to 100.PRD.fes.com domain to your SAP system. Also using this format of address you can configure multiple mail connections into multiple SAP systems.
(A) Another answer would be to enter the "Full" email address (LOcal and Domain part of address) into the routing rule for Exchange e.g. "U1 @ fes.com" so that all emails addressed to this user will be delivered into SAP. However this method requires a lot of Admin as you will have to update Exchange with ALL email address that need to receive emails. Also if your corporate mail address is "U1 @ fes.com" then all mails will be forwarded to SAP.
I would definitely NOT recommend this method but the decision is up to you.
P.S. The IP address of the SAP system is entered into the mail header of the email. This is standard practice in SMTP relay. You can suppress this header in Exchange

Memory problem with jdk/jre 1.1.8

I'm working for IRM in Li?ge and we developped an application (user interface for an industrial measurement system) in Java (JDK/JRE version : 1.1.8).
We have a big memory problem with this application :
- This user interface is running on a WINDOWS NT PC with 128MB.
- This is the command to lanch our application :

- When our application is running, everything seems to be OK in memory for it. The garbage collector seems to work properly and our application has always at least 5MB free memory (We use the java instruction "Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory()" to know this).
- But when we look in the "Windows NT task manager" for the "jrew" application, the memory increases ALWAYS.
- After 5 days our application is completely frozen and blocked ...???

We had a memory problem with a swing applet in our company. The major reason for this was that we added new components in a JTree and removed them later again, and the components we removed were never garbage collected. This was because with these components we added different listeners, and we didn't remove the listeners after we didn't need the components anymore. After we corrected this, the components where garbage collected.
Perhaps it's a similar problem you have, or I have no idea. Check that you remove actionlisteners, mouselisteners etc from components you want to be garbage collected.

Airport problem with iMAC 27" and serious service support for indonesia

i tried to call the apple store (indonesia) which i bought this imac 27" from. got transfered 4 times and i had to explain it to them all over. in the end i got to speak to the technician and i asked whether i can get a replacement and they don't think it's the correct solution and leave me hanging here.

i called the apple support on the apple.com (0018 03061 2009 for indonesia) today wednesday 19 may 2010, time 1:12pm indonesia local time (GMT +7) i didn't get the guy's name but i can tell he's Indian from the accent, i told him what the problem is, he told me to wait, i waited for 10 minutes and he hung up on me at 1:24pm. please check on the record, because i was told the whole conversation was recorded.
so, let's go to the problem:
i can't share my internet with airport built-in in my imac 27".
I'm using ZTE usb hsdpa modem connected to the imac. (fyi, my friend is using the same exact modem and internet provider and don't have any problems with internet sharing using his macbook)
i tried to share the internet through the airport express simply with these steps:
1. open the system preferences, internet sharing,
2. connection with "ZTE usb modem", and the box next to "Airport" is ticked
3. turn on the internet sharing
4. press start
5. yes the firewall is off.
and these are what i'm having right now:
1. the airport symbol wont turn into an arrow
2. when i open the network preferences, it says: AirPort is turned on but is not connected to a network. (color is orange not green)
3. i searched the wireless network with my ipod touch and i found nothing
4. if i try to "create a network" here's what it says "There was an error creating your computer-to-computer network."

If you have anything configured in System Preferences/Network/Airport then you have conflicts configured into the network. I suggest that you start from the beginning. Do not assume anything. Do not take any short cuts. Start fresh.
Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing turn off Internet Sharing. Go to Sys Prefs/Network, highlight AirPort and press the - symbol below to remove the AirPort interface. Now press the + symbol and create a new AirPort Interface. In the new AirPort interface do not turn on AirPort. You should only select the box to show AirPort Status in the menu bar. Now press Apply.
Go to Sys Prefs/Sharing and follow the steps 1 through 11 in my first post.
In step 11 Sys Prefs should ask you to turn on AirPort. Turn it on. It should next ask you to start Internet Sharing. Start Internet Sharing.
The AirPort Status in the menu bar should show AirPort is on and have an arrow pointing up. In the AirPort Status dropdown menu it should show AirPort is ON, Internet Sharing is ON and it should show the name of the Internet Sharing network that you created.
