  • Problem with FCC @ Receiver Side (Reg.,  Shab's FCC blog)

    Hi,
    I have gone through the shab's FCC blog...https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3228. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    I have configured the same in sender communication channel its working fine.
    And have configured the FCC @ Reciver communication channel also with the following parameters.
    RecordStructure= Header,Body,Trailer
    Header.fieldSeparator = ,
    Header.endSeparator= 'nl'
    Body.fieldSeparator = ,
    Body.endSeparator= 'nl'
    Trailer.fieldSeparator = ,
    Trailer.endSeparator= 'nl'
    And, when I ran this interface its generating blank output file. So, what would be the problem
    Can anybody can help me for the same....
    Thanks n Advance.,

  • FTP-FTP scenario...problem with FCC

    Hi,
        Iam doing a FTP to FTP scenario.I have specified the following parameters-
    source.fieldNames
    source.fieldSeparator -> ;
    source.endSeparator ->'nl'
    ignoreRecordsetName
    source.fieldContentFormatting->nothing
    source.missingLastfields->add
    Target.fieldFixedLengths
    Target.fixedLengthTooShortHandling ->Cut
    Target.fieldSeparator -> ;
    Target.endSeparator ->'nl'
    There are 2 fields in source file that has blank values,so the source file is like
    In the target file, the fields upto those fields with blank values are coming...but fields from those blank values are missing.so the output file looks like this.
    The fields with blank values has lengths 50,50.
    I want all the fields in output file .Every thing is direct mapping.
    Please suggest something that will do this.Its urgent.

    HI,
    From sender side if you get blank value then that particular node will not be generated on target side XML structure in mapping. and you have used Target.fixedLengthTooShortHandling ->Cut so the further fields are not considerd properly.
    Can you plesae add mapWithDefault api while mapping. Double click on it and pass blank value. This will create the Blank node on target side.
    Source --> mapWithDefault ( [] ) --> Target
    i hope this will solve your problem
    Thanks

  • Problem with File Content Conversion

    Hi All
    I am facing a problem with file content conversion.
    This is my sample file structure:
    Header_Record (Occurance - 1)
    Field1 in Header
    Field2 in Header
    Item(Occ-1 to n)
    Field3 in Item
    Field4 in Item
    <<ItemType>> (Structure in Item) (Occ - 0 to n)
    <<Field5>> in ItemType
    <<Field6>> in ItemType
    <<ItemTypeCategory>> (Structure in ItemType)(Occ - 0 to n)
    <<<<Field7>>>> in ItemTypeCategory
    <<<<Field8>>>> in ItemTypeCategory
    Footer_Record (Occurance-1)
    Field9
    Field10
    There is a key field 'Type' in all the above records with unique value in each record.
    Now, I defined Field content conversion as follows:
    Recordset Structure: Header_Record,1,Item, * , ItemType, * ,ItemTypeCategory, * ,Footer_Record,1
    Recordset Sequence: Ascending
    KeyField Name: Type
    Following are parameters defiled:
    Header_Record.Keyfieldvalue: 00
    Header_Record.fieldseperator: ,
    Header_Record.fieldnames: Field1,Field2
    Header_Record.endseperator: 'nl'
    Item.keyfieldvalue: 05
    item.fieldseperator: ,
    item.fieldfieldnames: field3,field4
    item.endseperator: 'nl'
    ItemType.keyfieldvalue: 10
    itemType.fieldseperator: ,
    itemType.fieldfieldnames: field5,field6
    itemType.endseperator: 'nl'
    ItemTypecategory.keyfieldvalue: 15
    itemTypecategory.fieldseperator: ,
    itemTypecategory.fieldfieldnames: field7,field8
    itemTypecategory.endseperator: 'nl'
    Footer.keyfieldvalue: 20
    Footer.fieldseperator: ,
    Footer.fieldfieldnames: field5,field6
    Footer.endseperator: 'nl'
    Now, i pass the following file:
    00,111
    05,222
    10,333
    15,444
    20,555
    What i expect out of my FCC is this (Sample output to show the hierarchy of field values):
    00,111
    05,222
    <<10,333>>
    <<<<15,444>>>>
    20,555
    But, I am getting this output (Hierarchy is missing. All the structures are in the same order without hierarchy):
    00,111
    05,222
    10,333
    15,444
    20,555
    Field values are being identified according to field content conversion, but, the hierarchy of the fields is missing.
    Can you please tell me how should i change my FCC config?
    Sorry for this long question.
    Many Thanks
    Chandra

    You will always get a flat structure from FCC. If you want hierarchichal strucuture, you have to create a target and map. You will get only like -
    Root
    --Recordset
    Group1
    Fields
    Grop2
    Fields
    Group3
    Fields

  • Problem in FCC

    hi guys,
    im having a problem using FCC in reciever file adapter.
    in receive an XML like this:
    header
    ....details
    ....details
    ....details
    header
    ....details
    ....details
    ....details
    header
    taking reference of this blogs i traying to do my conversion
    /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/02/file-receiver-with-content-conversion
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2007/08/03/file-adapter-receiver--are-we-really-sure-about-the-concepts
    the diference between the blogs and my case refer i don have field separator y use <xml>.fieldFixedLengths
    my conversion is next:
    Recordset Structure: Header,Details
    Details.beginSeparator.........'nl'
    Details.fieldFixedLengths........1,10,10,50,16,13,5,15,15,15,15
    Details.fixedLengthTooShortHandling.......Cut
    Details.endSeparator............'nl'
    Header.fieldFixedLengths............1,4,10,4,8,35,16,18,5,5
    Header.endSeparator...............'nl'
    ussing this Conversion im getting next error:
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters! (Value '123456789 ')', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'
    now, ussing the same conversion but changging the result structure to
    header
    header
    header
    details
    details
    details
    details
    i dont have any error in conversion. my question is Why?? what wrong in first case??? the error say: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters but the numbers of field defined is right because in the second case it works.
    Thanks,
    Rodrigo

    i try ussing field names too but i get the same error. i cannot remove context the structure i must generate is:
    header
    ...detail
    ...detail
    header
    ...detail
    ...detail
    ...detail
    another thing i facing. if i repace the <xml>fieldFixedLengths for <xml>fieldSeparator no error and the result file is i am specting but with a field separator wich shouldnt be. i tryed use:
    header.fieldSeparator .......# '0x08' (backspace) but the result structure is
    field1#
    field2#
    field3#
    its putting and enter and no a backspace.

  • Problem with hissing noise of earphone on nokia e5...

    I have a new brand of E50 but It's a problem with quality of sound on the earphone speaker.During the calls I hear the hissing
    noise.Is it problem of this model or my headset is defect?

    Hey. Really sorry for late answer. i got same model (but i7 , r7 m265 )
    For the fan noise ; check out gpu and cpu temperatures . clean the fan dust with power manager program. and update drivers.
    for the battery , %1 wear is nothing . only affects 1-2 mins . battery has internal smbus battery fuel gauge and it automatically calibrates battery full charge capacity. but you can manual calibrate fcc with power manager. we are very lucky because on some hp ,samsung etc laptops , battery comes with %10 wearage (like my old laptop).
    you post this message 6 months ago. if your battery wear is >%15 now , send battery to service. they will replace a new battery. if battery wear <%10 , your battery is normal

  • Numerous problems with X1 platform and error message RDK-03032

    Daily I have problem with the X1 system where the TV signal goes out and I get a message that says " Call 1-800-XFINITY and reference RDK-03032." This problem is randum and can occur at any time of day, resulting in outages for many hours, or usually the remainder of the day. If I call Comcast customer service, usually the wait is usually about 20 minutes before someone comes on and goes through another process of sending signals to my box, at which time they say they need to send a technician out. I then get a call from the technician who says he doesn't need to come out because the problem is with XFINITY's network, and that they are working on it. If I call back into customer service, I need to first make sure I have about an hour for the process because the customer support person has to go through the same diagnostic test of sending signals to confirm the system is down, before they will refer the problem back to a technician in the field. Usually during this diagnostic process, the technician puts me on hold for another 30 minutes, at which time the phone is hung up, at which time I have to start the process all over again. RDK-03032 problem continues to occur with no resolution and no one seems to be able to tell me what the problem is, or how to fix it, and no one in customer support knows how to fix this problem. I have no idea how to get this problem resolved. Does anyone have any idea?

    awsomely sad / they put this item on the market and i would recomemmend you contact the fcc for a form to fill out a complaint asap as i will be doing as soon as i receive the letter in the mail , they say it is a latency problem . late is late but no show at all for hours on end is the new future.  what is that suppossed to keep us victoms happy  untill they can figure out what to do to cover theyre mistakes , now they are trying to replace the incoming signal which has left me with no services 10 times in 14 days , i watched a tech install a new cable from pole to house with 2 supervisors standing rigth there , when the 12th visit by a tech i explained my story and the tech said let me look out side 1 hour later after my services were cut off again the tech came to my door and told me the cable from my house to the pole was terrible and rotten and needed to be replaced again , i knew he was lying but it was after 7 pm and i had enough , i saw them a week or so before , as did the 2 supervisors , cut a brand new peice of the roll in his truck replace it with new ends , a totally new peice , so i guess the cable they are using only has a 2 week life expectancy or the tech was lying , which i beleive the tech wanted to get paid for the call , so he probably did but once again my xi service is not right still , when they get to far in they start lying because they are probably getting screwed for have to service this x1 numerous times , when i sit here and listen to the supervisors and techs  tell me that the system is the problem and they are trying every 3 months to figure what the last  program upgrade has screwed up for  them and laugh jokingly it doesent give you to much faith in theyre ability to resolve any issues with this system face it we have no recoarse . over 200 hrs on the phone . i must have talked to every employee in the company even tom karinshank yhe ceo was contacted and after his rep sat there and picked appart evry thing i said got rude and now wont return my calls or emails they pass it to the next person , ????????????????????????????????????

    okay. I tried the airplane mode and do not disturb on and off thing, resetting the network settings and all settings, restoring the iPhone using iTunes, draining phone using flashlight, reheating the phone using hair dryer and freezing the phone.. the freezing makes my wifi work again but it only last a couple of hours and I didn't want to try it anymore because I'm afraid it may cause another problem to my phone if I keep doing that.

  • Has anyone had a problem with their imac because the power company installed a smart meter which broadcasts the readings to the company?

    Has anyone had a problem with their imac after the power company--in my case Pepco in Washington DC--installed "smart meters" which read the meter and transmit the data via wireless?  I've had trouble and when I move the imac downstair it disappears. Help!

    barryfromwashington wrote:
    would putting up a metal shield by the meter help?
    It might, as long as the shield is grounded. Metallic (such as copper) window screen is often sufficient.
    As mentioned, it would not hurt to file a complaint. The burden of proper shielding should probably belong to Pepco. Among other things, the FCC frowns upon RF leakage and its interfereing with radio communications. Besides, Pepco probably would not want you to affix a shield around their gear - liability issues, etc.
    You could experiment by temporarily hanging a shield-screen on the inside of the wall, behind where the meter transmitter device is located, and see if there is any beneficial change.

  • A problem with threads

    I am trying to implement some kind of a server listening for requests. The listener part of the app, is a daemon thread that listens for connections and instantiates a handling daemon thread once it gets some. However, my problem is that i must be able to kill the listening thread at the user's will (say via a sto button). I have done this via the Sun's proposed way, by testing a boolean flag in the loop, which is set to false when i wish to kill the thread. The problem with this thing is the following...
    Once the thread starts excecuting, it will test the flag, find it true and enter the loop. At some point it will LOCK on the server socket waiting for connection. Unless some client actually connects, it will keep on listening indefinatelly whithought ever bothering to check for the flag again (no matter how many times you set the damn thing to false).
    My question is this: Is there any real, non-theoretical, applied way to stop thread in java safely?
    Thank you in advance,
    Lefty

    This was one solution from the socket programming forum, have you tried this??
    public Thread MyThread extends Thread{
         boolean active = true;
         public void run(){
              ss.setSoTimeout(90);
              while (active){
                   try{
                        serverSocket = ss.accept();
                   catch (SocketTimeoutException ste){
                   // do nothing
         // interrupt thread
         public void deactivate(){
              active = false;
              // you gotta sleep for a time longer than the
              // accept() timeout to make sure that timeout is finished.
              try{
                   sleep(91);
              }catch (InterruptedException ie){
              interrupt();
    }

  • Problem with Threads and a static variable

    I have a problem with the code below. I am yet to make sure that I understand the problem. Correct me if I am wrong please.
    Code functionality:
    A timer calls SetState every second. It sets the state and sets boolean variable "changed" to true. Then notifies a main process thread to check if the state changed to send a message.
    The problem as far I understand is:
    Assume the timer Thread calls SetState twice before the main process Thread runs. As a result, "changed" is set to true twice. However, since the main process is blocked twice during the two calls to SetState, when it runs it would have the two SetState timer threads blocked on its synchronized body. It will pass the first one, send the message and set "changed" to false since it was true. Now, it will pass the second thread, but here is the problem, "changed" is already set to false. As a result, it won't send the message even though it is supposed to.
    Would you please let me know if my understanding is correct? If so, what would you propose to resolve the problem? Should I call wait some other or should I notify in a different way?
    Thanks,
    B.D.
    Code:
    private static volatile boolean bChanged = false;
    private static Thread objMainProcess;
       protected static void Init(){
            objMainProcess = new Thread() {
                public void run() {
                    while( objMainProcess == Thread.currentThread() ) {
                       GetState();
            objMainProcess.setDaemon( true );
            objMainProcess.start();
        public static void initStatusTimer(){
            if(objTimer == null)
                 objTimer = new javax.swing.Timer( 1000, new java.awt.event.ActionListener(){
                    public void actionPerformed( java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt){
                              SetState();
        private static void SetState(){
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                bChanged = true;
                try{
                    objMainProcess.notify();
                }catch( IllegalMonitorStateException e ) {}
        private static boolean GetState() {
            if( objMainProcess == null ) return false;
            synchronized( objMainProcess ) {
                if( bChanged) {
                    SendMessage();
                    bChanged = false;
                    return true;
                try {
                    objMainProcess.wait();
                }catch( InterruptedException e ) {}
                return false;
        }

    Thanks DrClap for your reply. Everything you said is right. It is not easy to make them alternate since SetState() could be called from different places where the state could be anything else but a status message. Like a GREETING message for example. It is a handshaking message but not a status message.
    Again as you said, There is a reason I can't call sendMessage() inside setState().
    The only way I was able to do it is by having a counter of the number of notifies that have been called. Every time notify() is called a counter is incremented. Now instead of just checking if "changed" flag is true, I also check if notify counter is greater than zero. If both true, I send the message. If "changed" flag is false, I check again if the notify counter is greater than zero, I send the message. This way it works, but it is kind of a patch than a good design fix. I am yet to find a good solution.
    Thanks,
    B.D.

  • Problem with threads running javaw

    Hi,
    Having a problem with multi thread programming using client server sockets. The program works find when starting the the application in a console using java muti.java , but when using javaw multi.java the program doesnt die and have to kill it in the task manager. The program doesnt display any of my gui error messages either when the server disconnect the client. all works find in a console. any advice on this as I havent been able to understand why this is happening? any comment would be appreciated.
    troy.

    troy,
    Try and post a minimum code sample of your app which
    does not work.
    When using javaw, make sure you redirect the standard
    error and standard output streams to file.
    Graeme.Hi Graeme,
    I dont understand what you mean by redirection to file? some of my code below.
    The code works fine under a console, code is supposed to exit when the client (the other server )disconnects. the problem is that but the clientworker side of the code still works. which under console it doesnt.

  • Problem with threads and camera.

    Hi everybody!
    I've a problem with taking snapshot.
    I would like to display a loading screen after it take snapshot ( sometimes i
    have to wait few seconds after i took snapshot. Propably photo is being taken in time where i have to wait).
    I was trying to use threads but i didn't succeed.
    I made this code:
    display.setCurrent(perform);
            new Thread(new Runnable(){
                public void run() {
                    while((!performing.isShown()) && (backgroundCamera.isShown())){
                        Thread.yield();
                    notifyAll();
            }).start();
            new Thread(new Runnable(){
                public void run() {
                    try {
                        this.wait();
                    } catch(Exception e) {
                        exceptionHandler(e);
                    photo = camera.snapshot();
                    display.setCurrent(displayPhoto);
            }).start();This code is sometimes showing performing screen but sometimes no.
    I don't know why. In my opinion performing.isShown() method isn't working correctly.
    Does anyone have some idea how to use threads here?

    Hi,
    I've finally managed to work this fine.
    The code:
           Object o = new Object();
           display.setCurrent(perform);
            new Thread(new Runnable(){
                public void run() {
                    while(!performing.isShown()){
                        Thread.yield();
                   synchronized(o) {
                      o.notify();
            }).start();
            new Thread(new Runnable(){
                public void run() {
                    try {
                        synchronized(o) {
                           o.wait(1);
                    } catch(Exception e) {
                        exceptionHandler(e);
                    photo = camera.snapshot();
                    display.setCurrent(displayPhoto);
            }).start();

  • Problem with threads hanging

    We have a problem where our application stops responding after a few days of usage. Things will for fine for a day or two, and then pretty quickly threads will start getting hung up, usually in places where they are allocating memory
    We are running WebLogic 8.1 SP2 on Sun JDK 1.4.2_04 on Solaris 8 using the alternate threading model and the -server hotspot vm. We are running pretty much the same code that we had no problems with under WebLogic 6.1 SP4 and Sun JDK 1.3.1.
    A thread dump usually shows that some or all of our execute threads are in the state "waiting for monitor entry" even though they are not currently waiting on any java locks. Here is a sample thread from the thread dump (we have ~120 threads so I don't want to post the full dump).

    String.java line 1446 for this jdk allocates a new String object, and all the other threads in this state also are creating new objects or arrays, etc.
    We've done a pstack on this process when it's in this state, and the threads that are in the "waiting for monitor entry" that look like they're allocating memory are all waiting on the same lwp_mutex_lock with some allocation method that's calling into the native TwoGenerationCollectorPolicy.mem_allocate_work (see pstack output below for the same thread as in the thread dump above)

    Also when it's having this problem, the "VM Thread" is always using a lot of processor time. We did a couple of pstacks today while it was having this problem, and this thread was stuck in the ONMethodSweeper.sweep for over 15 minutes when we finally killed the server.

    Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm trying to figure out if this is caused by something we're doing, or something relating to our environment and jvm options. Any ideas?

    Thanks for the reply - I'm testing our app with the +UseConcMarkSweepGC now in our test environment to make sure it doesn't cause any problems there.  Unfortunately the only place we've had this problem is on the production server, so it's extra difficult debugging this.
    We're using the following memory options:
    -ms512m -mx512m -XX:NewSize=128m -XX:PermSize=192m -XX:MaxNewSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=192m -XX:SurvivorRatio=8and the following debugging options, as we've also been seeing OutOfMemoryErrors ( see http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=37&thread=522354&tstart=45&trange=15 )
    -verbosegc -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintHeapAtGCBTW, which c++filt version and options are you using? Our Solaris boxes only seem to have the GNU version installed. I was trying to run that on some of the other stack traces and wasn't getting anywhere, and didn't know if because it was GNU version wouldn't work on something compiled with the Sun compiler.
    Thanks!

  • Problem with threads and ProgressMonitor

    Dear Friends:
    I have a little problem with a thread and a ProgressMonitor. I have a long time process that runs in a thread (the thread is in an separate class). The thread has a ProgressMonitor that works fine and shows the tasks progress.
    But I need deactivate the main class(the main class is the user interface) until the thread ends.
    I use something like this:
    LongTask myTask=new LongTask();
    myTask.start();
    myTask.join();
    Now, the main class waits for the task to end, but the progress monitor don`t works fine: it shows only the dialog but not the progress bar.
    What's wrong?

    Is the dialog a modal dialog? This can block other UI updates.
    In general, you should make sure that it isn't modal, and that your workThread has a fairly low priority so that the UI can do its updating
