I am trying to create a custom filename but the editor will not let me add the tokens that I wish to add. What could be the problem?

Can you be a bit more specific? Is the problem that it won't let you enter a token that exists in the many drop-downs that exist? If so what happens exactly? And what OS and LR version are you running? Or is the problem that a token you would like doesn't exist? Or is this something as simple as you are not choosing "Edit" in File Naming drop-down list?

Problems with Filenames with Chinese Characters

I seem to have problems with filenames with 2-byte characters like Chinese, Japanese and Korean in various apps. The problems occur when i download chinese music and import into iTunes :
1. Torrent ( and all other ) files with 2-byte characters filename become junk characters in Finder after download from Safari.
2. Music files created/downloaded by uTorrent displays 2-byte characters correctly in Finder.
3. These downloaded music files when imported into iTunes becomes junk characters.
4. Let say I wish to have a list of all filenames from (2). I do a ls -R > abc.txt in Terminal. abc.txt displays the filenames correctly in vi. However they become junk characters again when view using TextEdit.
I've selected Chinese, Japanese, Korean in International setting. This is not about input method, just want to get the filenames correct in Finder and iTunes. Any advice is appreciated.

The ID 3 tags need to be in Unicode.

Problem with Great Estate Template in iWeb

Having problems with the Great Estate template for iWeb: On the blog, the picture shows up fine, in the larger, overview version it is all blurred. The software company cannot help me, say it is a program flaw in iWeb? Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks

I have been corresponding with the company in Lithuania for a few days and we have tried everything we could think of to solve the glitch. I am very much aware of the fact that it is a custom theme, in fact I have further customised it.
The website in question is a private one. In my home country, we are legally required to post our address on the page. I would not want to braodcast that across the Apple community, if I can help it, so that is not an option. Sorry.

Problems with customising menu template backgrounds

Hi.
I am experiencing problems with changing the background of the included disc menu templates in PE9. I can change the background image to anything i like on the computer and all seems to work OK but when i burn the project to disc (PAL_Dolby DVD) the custom background image has gone and been replace with the default template imagine.
Anyone got any ideas whats going on!

This issue showed up with PrE 9. I do not recall reading of it with earlier versions.
I do not know if the PSD files have some corruption, or if some change in PrE 9's code "did the deed," but many have filed a Bug Report, and I ask that you please do, as well. It should be an easy fix for Adobe (but I am not a coder, or software engineer, and could be wrong).

Several Problems with Visual Editor 1.1

I have installed the latest version of visual editor and also the emf and gef version required,the problem comes when i try to create a new Vsual class after i choose the property of the class such as name and so on and clicked finish My visual editor is empty.....the palette for visual component doesn't appear.
The visual editor creates a little window and duplicates it evrey time i click in the visualEditor page......please help me...i don't know what i have to do.... i tried the impossible but visual editr still doesn't work!

and I have tried it twice to download WLS6.1 and always the same problem....so

anybody managed to do it? It really could be helpful is somebody, who managed

Problems with AppleScript Editor.app in Snow Leopard

I have been using the Satimage.osax scripting addition with Script Editor.app in Leopard without problem. After I upgraded to Snow Leopard, the Script Editor.app was replaced by AppleScript Editor.app in which the following one-line script
change "," into "." in "3,1416"
compiles without error but it gives an error when I try to run it: as if AppleScript Editor.app was not able to load the ScriptingAdditions (despite the fact that it correctly shows the dictionary for the Satimage.osax scripting addition).
When I decided to get back the old "Script Editor.app" and use it in Snow Leopard to run the above script, I found... no error! It ran correctly.
Anybody observed similar problems with the AppleScript Editor.app and ScriptingAdditions?
Can anybody offer a solution other than trash the new AppleScript Editor.app and stick to the old Script Editor.app?

Problem with Theme Editor

Hi,
I have installed Ep 6.0 SP12 along with KM. I want to customize it, but when I open the theme editor in the portal, it shows portal runtime exception and the stack trace in the logviewer shows "JAVA.lang.outofmemoryerror".
I upgraded my heapsize to 1.5 GB using config tool.
but i get the same problem.

PI Demo Examples problems with executing CTC template for client setup

I use PI 7.30 SP 4 and get the following exception if I use the CTC template to set up the PI demo examples in client 105
and 106

In client 107, the template works after I delete the SAP_WSRT user. In clients 105 and 106, this leads to the exception above,
If the SAP_WSRT user exists, I get the exception that this user alreadz exists if I run the template.
What should I do to fix this problem and properly implement the template on all clients?
PS: I use admin users with SAP_ALL rights. Maybe I use the wrong master password, because I use the one of my SAP_ALL user. This works at least for using the template within client107.

Hi Mark,
in my case the workaround of deleting the service user works only in Client 107.
The additional problem with a missing service destination occurs already after deleting the service user in Clients 105 and 106. Will this additional problem also be treated in the new note?
Joerg-Joachim Klossika already added the workaround to this note for the existing service user I proposed to him.
I still cannot resolve the problem with the missing service destination.

Problem with Viewing Web templates

Hi,
Iam facing problem with web template view which is designed.it is giving error even in preview mode and even on web.
I would like to know which particular service in Sicf is needed to activate so that i can work with webtemplates in preview mode and in web mode.

If iam trying to test any service as they are some in active state .iam getting an error message that ICMAN not active.

Problem with text editor font

Hiii..
Actually I am facing some problems with the text editor font. Since I have some part of text was written in arabic (For labels), currently these parts are not readable and appears like this:

However it still arise.

Problem with condition editor in Interface determination

Hi,
I have 5 receivers for an interface. There are some conditions based on which the message should be processed.
one of my condition is:
If field A = CIT* and (field B != IDP or field C != IDP*) then message should be processed to a particular InterfaceMap(Messaeg Map).
I am facing problems when giving the condition with != in the condition editor of InterfaceDetermiantion.
When I send a message that is not satisfying the above condition, even then an output file with 0kb is getiitng created. But in this case, the condition should obstruct the message going to Message mapping.
I thought this could be the problem with != operator in condition editor.
Can any one suggest if there is any other way that i can proceed.

Thanks for the suggestion.
But it didnt work for me.
Even when i give empty-message handling to ignore, the empty file is getting generated.
Not even the condition is working.
I tried only giving (field A u2248 CIT* AND field B != IDP EX ), which should work in this case. As expected, the message is not processed beyond this as the condition is false. But problem is when i tested with other testfile with which the condition given is true, still the message is not being processed. it is now completely obstructing the message even if the condition is true.

Problem with comboBox editor

Hi experts,
i am keeping a combobox renderer and editor in my JTable for 2 columns say 5th column and 7th column.
In renderer no Problem.
But while i am editing ,whenever i am choosing a perticular item from the drop down in the first row of table,it is affecting the remaining set of rows.,not all the rows also.
for example,next 5 rows are getting the same selected value.
next some 2 rows are getting affected.

Photo Booth - Problem with filenames

Hi.
I just noticed that Photo Booth names pictures taken in a curious way... This is the name of a photo taken a few minutes ago:
Foto del 65353972-09-2455450 alle 18/09 (don't care about the words being in Italian )
The number indicating the month is correct, but what about the others? Shouldn't they be year and day?
I know, wrong names in Photo Booth is not a big deal, but I have a lot of pictures in the Photo Booth folder, and it would be nice to quickly find a photo looking at the date, instead of watching them all one by one...

Nothing to do with Julian date as stated in one reply. It's a bug in some localizations, for example the Italian one(Apple is alerted about it).
You have to go to the Application folder, select Photo Booth and control-click (or right-click) to see the contextual menu. Choose Show package contents and then Contents, Resources, Italian.lproj, Localizable strings.
Open that file.
1) Change the 21st string: from "HH.mm" = "HH:mm"; to "HH.mm" = "HH.mm";
2) Change the last string: from "YYYY-MM-dd" = "AAAA-MM-gg";
to "YYYY-MM-dd" = "YYYY-MM-dd";
To open the file, no problems with Textedit or XCode, but to save it you will have permissions problems: you must enable root (in System Preferences, Account, Login Options, Network Account Server..Join, Open Director Utility, Edit Menu, Enable Root User). Login as a root user and modify and save the file.
Easier: from your admin user account (no need to enable root), open the file with Textwrangler or similar software, do the changes and save the modified file (Textwrangler will ask you if you want to unlock the file and will ask you for your admin user password).

Problem with themes editor projects

I'm having a problem with SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.

I'm using SAP/UR Design Themes' view. I'm trying to import a Design file (.zip) and the Developer return me error: "The Design could not be imported. Datamanager could not be initialized!"
Can anybody help me? I don't have idea about this!

Problem with SQL Editor Code Template

Hello,
I use Oracle SQL Developer 3.0.04 in a computer is Spanish language. When I insert a SQL Code Template with unicode chars (like ñ, á, etc.) and I go to the tab Preferences -> Database -> SQL Editor Code Template, I've lost all the templates.
I've been investigating about the problem and I've found that the templates have been stored at *%APPDATA%/SQL Developer/CodeTemplate.xml*. When I open that template, I can see that it is codified in ANSI instead of UTF-8. If I recodified the file to UTF8 manually, the SQL Code Template work perfectly.
To sum up, my problem is that everytime I add a code template the file CodeTemplate.xml was recodified to ANSI.
For example: if I add the next template AÑO="2011" lost all the templates the next time that go to the tab SQL Editor Code Template
