Problem with Flash Menu in iWeb...need help please.
Ok, I designed a flash menu in iWeb and successfully placed it at the top of the site. I then used the "transparent shape" method to make the hyperlinks work properly. I made sure the flash menu was in the back and the transparent shape hyperlinks were in the front. The menu works just fine for me and anyone else using Safari or Mac computers. However, people on Windows using Firefox, IE or Chrome are unsuccessful in clicking the links. They do not work for them.

It is clearly the problem that the flash menu is opening in front of the hyperlinked shapes but I'm not sure how to make sure they stay on front.

I don't know the answer to that one but you can use the Mouse Over and Click method I have described on this page....

It works in IE.
Its just a question of making up two different buttons with text for each link, taking a screenshot and cropping them and adding the JPEGs to your upload folder.
You can make up the buttons on an iWeb page and then delete them when you have taken the screenshots. I usually do this sort of thing in Keynote so that I can save them in case I need to modify them.

Have a problem that i really need help with, i have tried so many different things to sort this - but with no sucess.
I usually work in High Definition and i have recently done a small project for someone in DV. When changing to work in DV, i selected the DV setup from the 'Easy Setup' menu. I have now changed back to HD and there are a few things different with Final Cut that i can't shift!
When i move a clip from the capture bin into the edit window, the clip no longer fills that window like it always used to and there are lines at the top and the bottom of the clip - almost like it is in widescreen.
Editing like this wasn't too much of a problem, but when i came to compress and do a final render of the whole film - there was the same black lines on the top and bottom of the film.
I can't figure out how to get the setting back to how they were, and have the clips fill the edit windows and fix the end render/compress.
Any ideas from anyone on what i am experiancing with all this? And. . . how to fix this problem?

Problems with poor wifi signal strength, need help?

I have a 3rd generation Airport Extreme wirelessly bridged to a 4th generation Time Capsule. I have noticed only mild increase in signal strength. Surprisingly I have only 1 – 2 bars of signal strength when standing next to the bridged Airport Extreme. There are areas of the house that continue to have very weak coverage ranging from 0 – 2 bars depending on the day and others that continue to have no wifi coverage.
The house has Cat 5 cable in all rooms. Most rooms only have a phone jack wired to the end of the Cat 5 cable but two rooms have data ports. All the wires (phone and data) run to the same junction box and are connected to, what appears to be, a simple parallel bridge. (There are a couple unused access points on the bridge. A few years back, I ran an additional line for a phone by simply pressing the colored wire into the corresponding site and the phone works fine)
It was suggested to plug the two routers directly into the data ports rather than have them communicate wirelessly. When doing this, I had no signal at the other end and the phone stopped working.
What is the best way to fix the weak wifi signal problem?
1. Do I need to tweak my current wireless set up? (FYI, In the Airport Utility, both devices are listed and have green dots)
2. Do I need to buy an additional Airport Extreme to bridge to the Time Capsule to cover the current dead areas? (unless there is something I should do different in the set up, hesitant to do this, since I have only seen a marginal boost with my current bridge)
3. Would it be better to use the existing cat 5 cable and create a functional “hard wired” network that I can use to connect the two wireless routers? (If this is the answer, is this something relatively simple that I can do myself or should I hire a professional?)

It was typical awhile back, where you have "whole-house" Ethernet running back to a patch panel to use the cable runs for both data and phone service. This works fine as long as you only wanted 100 Mbps Ethernet (or Fast Ethernet) connections for data. Gigabit Ethernet requires all of the twisted pairs in the CAT-5 cable and cannot share any of those pairs for phone lines.
So any wall outlet that is wired for both phone & data will not provide Gigabit Ethernet ... unless there are at least two CAT-5 cables going to that outlet. I am only mentioning this as to the potential for reduced bandwidth on some of your connections as all of your AirPort base stations are Gigabit capable.
As far as "weak" signals, I am assuming that you have configured all of your AirPort base stations for a roaming and NOT an extended wireless network ... correct? Even if you already have, please review the following Apple Support article to make sure you didn't miss anything. Please post back your results. -
Xfi Xtreme Audio Problems with Microphone and other things NEED HELP!!!!
? Alright i have exhausted my search for an answer for my problems.... This is a last resort now!
Im running Windows 7
st Problem: I was having problems with my microphone where people heard themselves through my microphone. Ok well i have a creative Fatility series headset with a supposed noise canceling mic. So last night i was like screw it imma put in the install disk for my sound card Xfi Xtreme Audio.
This Arose my 2nd Problem: Now that the drivers were installed and i finaly got a volume panel it says im running Windows Vista. The name next to my card says Sound Blast X-Fi Xtreme Audio (Vista). Alright so i am running windows 7.... What the heck! Next thing is my microphone doesnt even work! This is just awsome btw and im pretty sure the volume panel isnt even the way it was when i was on an XP system.
So if anyone has a fix to this problem let me know it would be great!A quick update i was able to fix Problem 2, i had to get rid of what i installed so im just back to Problem . I dont have the VOlume Panel anymore but my microphone still seems to make it so that people can hear themselves....

The mail application on my I-Mac dates all emails, in or out, as 5th (of whatever month it is). It seems to get the time right.
The computer clock is fine. I have no problem with my MacBook - just with the I-Mac. Any ideas, please?OK Vicky, good clues...

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over. See if there are duplicates, should be one for Incoming & one for Outgoing.

the problem i'm getting is that only one class is loading.
classes are loaded by their names,and index numbers of public methods from a linklist

Funny thing is that there are also no exceptions. The JVM just seem to hang there. -

}You have a generic problem that is illustrated by looking at your 'firstNameField'. You define just one 'firstNameField' variable and then allocated a value several times so that the content of 'firstNameField' add to card2 using
card2.add(firstNameField);
does not refer to the same object as is used in your action listener
firstNameField.setText("");
because in your card3 section you overwrite the original content ot the reference.
You can fix this by sharing a Document e.g.
Document doc = firstNameField.getDocument();
firstNameField = new JTextField(doc, "", 10);
card3.add(firstNameField);
for each time a new field is reqired. -
Serious problem with my 3720 classic! NEED HELP!
Hi! Today I switched on my pnone and after a while it rebooted. After that reboot, its rebooting after a couple o minutes again and again and again. Yesterday it was just fine! i have about 8000+ messages, but I cant back them up with ovi suite or nokia pc suite (older) because its rebooting constantly. What to do? I did a soft factory settings reset, but no effect...
No, I have not upgraded my phone. My phone is as it was the first ime i bought it. The weird is that the day before the problems it was just fine, then I switched it of, and the next day it was malfunctioning.
If I dont create any new playlist or try to delete any folder (files I can) th phone works fine, unless there are things that I haven't go to yet and might cause the phone to malfunction again..
If I try to create a playlist, it reboots constatly until I make a hard reset.

What do you mean? When I tried the first time the hard reset, it failed, and I had to do it 2 more times untill it was successful. Do you mean this,or a firmware update? (I didnt made any firmware update)

Are you getting an error message or code on the printer ?
What operating system are you using ?
Does it always do this or just a certain times ?
You may first want to try and reset the printer if you haven't already.

I would suggest you try running some code like this (use the debugger so you can see step-by-step):

Object i = koki.view.util.JSFUtils.resolveExpression("#{bindings.PasesP52.inputValue}");Is b null? If so, does your JSP page have a corresponding page definition?
Is b not null, but p is null? Does the page definition have an element PasesP52?
e.g., break down the problem and do a little debugging.
Note: my first guess would be that you meant to say "bindings" and not "binding"

EAR Deployment Problem with weblogic 10.2. Need help.
Hi,
I have a EAR file exported from MyEclipse IDE. When i am deploying the EAR file in weblogic 10.2, i am not seeing classess and properties were not exploded under WEB-INF/classes in the web project. I can see the classes folder but it's empty.
When i opened i can see EJB project JAR file and web project .war file in the EAR file. I checked the .war file content and i can see all the classes and properties available in the .war file.
Please help me to find, why the classes and properties are not being exploded when i am deploying as package.
Note: When i am deploying from myeclipse as exploded deployment i was able to run the application but i am failing when i deploy as a package (.ear file).

Vijay MI found the answer to this. The documentation is not clear enough, LD_LIBRARY_PATH MUST be set and MUST have a pointer to the directory where the SSL .so modules are. I wrote up a blog article explaining the configuration and detailed this issue.

I connected my macbook to my hdtv, and used a wireless keyboard and put in new f commands, when I unconnected it, and tried to use the f keys on my macbook, they wouldn't work, I just get that ring noise, I tried to go to the settings and fix the f keys, but it wouldn't work, I pressed the default button and it didn't work the keys are still messed up, and theres no way to fix the f buttons, when I press the decrease or increase brightness buttons they won't do anything now, and I don't know how to fix this so they do work, can someone give me some help so I can fix this, thanks.

Huge problem with external hard drive.. need help
Hey everyone! After a series of unfortunate events that began innocently enough, it appears I've trashed my WD 60 GB external USB hard drive.
I was using the drive to back up my iTunes library. When I found that it was also backing up my 30+ GB of video onto the drive and saw how slow it was, I clicked "stop" in iTunes which actually caused it to 'unexpectedly quit'. (I saw it coming).
So I tried to delete everything off the drive so I could try again (after removing videos from my iTunes Library). I found that it wouldn't let me delete everything, so I went to Disk Utility and went to erase to get rid of anything on the drive.
That failed multiple times and I kept quitting out until I got it to work. Now that's where I am now. After the erase, the disk is basically unusable. iTunes alerted me saying that the disk "cannot be read or written", and Disk Utility will not verify, repair, erase, or partition the disk being that "the disk cannot be unmounted".
Can anyone tell me how to wipe this drive so I can bring it back to a "clean slate" state????

AlexYou may have hosed the drive because iTunes unexpectedly quit while it was still writing to disk.
You should try WD support. Also,DiskWarrior may be able to unmount your disk, but run DW from the CD as there are installation issues on a 10.5 system.
