Problem with FTP in SP14

hi,
i am doing a proxy to XI to FTP scenario on SP14.
I dont get any errors as such but the flag in SXMB_MONI is green. i have checked my FTP connection on SP 9 and it works fine. But in SP14 i dont get any file in my target directory. Also as there is no error messages i am unable to debug.
Any help is appreciated.
thanks
kishan

Hi Kishan,
Is the status flag in SXMB_MONI "Green" or "Checked" ?
Green means it is only scheduled...The message might be waiting in the queue, it might not have reached the Adapter engine at all...
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith

  • Problem with FTP Adapter in creating a new Folder

    Hi all,
I have a requirement in which a BPEL process shud create a folder named as sysdate dynamically and write a

passing the file directory as concat('PO/',xp20:current-date(),'/') to outbound header directory variable.Problem is FTP
adapter is not creating the sysdate folder its says:1.check u have privileges 2.file name is too long....Blah....Blah.
But i have all the privileges for that user.If i manually create the sysdate folder the FTP adapter is placing the CSV

  • Problem with FTP put operation..??

    hi frendz,
i'm facing some problem with FTP put operation. The Get operation(reading a file) is working fine. i'm using Apache FTP server.FTP User is having all read/write permissions. When i putthe file using FTP command prompt then its working fine. But using BPEL/FTP adapter put operation is not working.
Main thing is its not giving any error but When i check the directory then i dont fine any file ther. In fact BPEL process is detecting directory where i'm going to write the file. But after completing the BPEL process i dont get any file.
i am using opaque fomat. n just passing some data into input string which i'm assigning to <invoke>'s variable.
    Thanks a lot

  • Problems With FTP Upload in Leopard 10.5.3-4

Hi, I experience a strange problem with ftp upload speed in 10.5.3-4. When I start upload a file to my trusted ftp server the upload speed starts to decrease from 300 kb/sec to 35 -40 kb/sec. It remains normal for 1-2 minutes (about 300 kb/sec) and then smoothly decreases to 35 -40 kb/sec. Pressing Stop and then Resume in Cyberduck makes speed normal for 1-2 minutes and then it starts to decrease again. It does not depend on ftp-client, it does not matter if I use either Cyberduck, Transmit or Fetch. It happens if I use either ethernet or airport connection. I have my old Powerbook with 10.4.11, it's connected to the same router with the same settings and the same time upload speed remains stable about 300 kb/sec.
But when I transfer files from my Macbook to my old Powerbook via ftp everything is fine. And when I transfer files to ftp server of my local ISP it's also fine.
Please, help me, I have to upload big 100 Mb files very often and it's significant difference for me 30 or 300 kb/sec
    Boris

I'm afraid it's not just the Duck or FTP, Boris....It's many many Apps...and protocols... 10.5 appears to have ;broken',a number of file transfer protocols and Apps... (Wired and KDX are two that come to mind- precisely the same symptoms, AND some others) Apple's own 'built-in' FTP appears OK Mac-Mac, oddly enough.
There's obviously some kind of weird Copy-Paste problem too.
It's obviously 'fixable' or a workaround is available because several s/w mobs have released 'fixes for 10.5 file transfer Bug'
The rest of us will just have to wait while another unannounced, unacknowledged, gaping hole in the Mac OS is quietly fixed and our expensive s/w sits unusable...
Not really good enough, is it ?
Like: Not being able to automatically detect a part file transfer on FTP and Auto-resume from whence you left off: something we thought was pretty cool- back in about 1984.... and absolutely essential in 86 or so.
Boris:You will almost certainly find that it happens whatever the client-server server setup and applications or Medium... I've seen precisely what you describe happen with Airport, Cable, 10/100/1000' local' LAN...
    - and watching your throughput drop from 300K to 300 BYTES/Sec is NO FUN.
I've spent a lot of time and money convincing potential 'Switchers' of the superiority of the Mac way over the last 20 years or so...
I'm getting pretty tired at defending the indefensible: 'SkoolBoy Misstakes' in a 24 year old 'superior Computer.- Not Good enough, Apple.

  • 10.3.9 problems with FTP server - port not open?

I have set up the ftp server in MacOSX Server 10.3.9 and I think the configuration is correct, but I am unable to access it from a client. When I check the open ports on the server from the client (running 10.4.10), ports 20 and 21 are not open, even though the firewall is not running. How do I open these ports, or start the server listening on them? The FTP server is running as far as Server Admin is concerned, although I have to say that I can't see a process in Activity Monitor with ftp in its name.

I think I might have got a bit farther with this problem, but this just gets me nearer to the problem, not to a solution.
When I stop the ftp service I get an error message in the console that says:
server servermgr_ftp: ftp config:Error:Unable to hup xinetd - pid file shows pid='(null)'
I believe that this means that Server Admin has tried to get xinetd to read its config file but since xinetd is not running (and hence no pid is available) it is unable to do this.
If I try and start xinetd from the terminal I get the following error message:
server xinetd[5484]: bind failed (Permission denied (errno = 13)). service = ftp
    server xinetd[5484]: 5484 {init_services} no services. Exiting...
I now know that xinetd is the process that (amongst other things) listens on port 20-21 for an attempt to establish an ftp session and then launches ftpd to service that connection. At least I think that is how it works! Or should work...

  • Problems with ftp on Windows Server 2012

    Hi all,
We just setup a new server running 2012.  I ran into a problem while trying to move over/recreate some of our exisiting jobs that run on the task scheduler on a Windows 2003 Server box.
One job in particular, logs into another local machine, deletes a file and copies a replacement file - this has worked for years.  When I tried to get it to work on the 2012 machine, it would hang at the copy statement.  I am thinking it has something
to do with the firewall since I found this error in the server log and the times are about the same times I kept trying this:
    Inbound notifications are not enabled
    Application Path:    C:\windows\system32\ftp.exe
I have no idea what to change.  We just need the script below to log into the machine, delete the existing file, then copy the new version of the file.  The size of the file I am testing with is 2k, so the size is not an issue.  Also, I tried
this in a command line and it froze at the copy statement - so that is how I realized where the problem was.  The bat file resides in the same folder on the server as the file to be copied.
When running this in a dos prompt, I get a return code of "425 Not able to open data connection." after a long period.
Any and all help is appreciated.
    The entire bat file contains:
    open 10.10.10.47
    userid
    password
    cd /mpl
    del boatemp.txt
    put boatemp.txt
    quit

Ok, so please try to restart the FTP Server as on 2012 machine sometimes Firewall rules may not be enabled untill restart is performed.
Then ensure FTP Server is allowed for the 'profile' that your network card has been allocated
Run firewall.cpl and go to Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall.
Make sure the FTP Server is allowed for the 'profile' that has been assigned to your network card.
In incoming Rules check if FTP rules are enabled (21 port, passive port and SFTP port)
If yes and you do not see anything unusuall, check you can connect to FTP if you disable firewall.

  • I am running OS 10.7.5 on a Macbook. Problems with ftp upload

I am running OS 10.7.5 on a Macbook. I am trying to upload to an ftp server. The connection is established with no problem but any attempt to upload files times out. This is an intermittent problem. I have been using fetch as an ftp client quuite successfully for a long time. The problem starts when there is trouble with the broadband connection. The ftp upload then falls over. I have managed to re-establish it in the past by setting up the connections from scratch. This has not worked this time. The same thing happens with two other clients that I have, so it is not specifically related to fetch. I can uplad files from PC's and by using my iphone's 3g connection as a personal hotspot. The problem seems to lie with the way the macs (the same thing happens on an older mac also running OSX) communicate with the router. I have tried with and without passive mode.
Please can anyone help. It is driving me to distraction.
Oh and I have just downloaded the latest security update.

For anyone else with the same problem.
My husband discovered the problem is with the MTU, maximum transmission unit . This article describes the problem and solution very clearly
    http://www.macgurulounge.com/manually-managing-mtu-size-in-mac-os-x/
Our router was running at 1492 and the mac at 1500. I found that resetting to 1400 cured the problem.
I hope this is helpful to other folk having the same problem

  • Wiered problem with FTP

    Hi All,
I have configured a simple sender file communication channel (with sender agreement). The error I get in CC Monitoring is
    <b>Could not process file 'test.xml': com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 jai/: No such file or directory.</b>
The problem here is Adapter says no file "test.xml" found, but I have specified the file name as *.xml and as expected my ftp channel should pick "test.xml".
P.S: With the receiver file adapter, I can write a new file into the same path.
Kindly let me know your valuable inputs...
    Thanks,
    Jai Shankar.

    Shabz,
I tried /jai as in your weblog, but I get the error msg
<b> An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server '10.252.1.28:21'. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 /jai: No such file or directory.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor.</b>
I have the ftp path located in SUN SOLARIS OS. Is the format a OS dependent?
P.S: When I use this format,I am not getting the file name in error msg.
    @ Bhavesh,
I tried 777 mode for the file. Still the error.
    <b>Could not process file 'test.xml': com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 jai/: No such file or directory.</b>
What could have gone wrong here?
    Thanks,

  • Problems with FTP connection in Dreamweaver 4

I hope someone can help me with the following:
Since recently I can only connect to the FTP host within
    Dreamweaver once a day.
I have two defined sites in my Dreamweaver 4 and before I
could connect several times a day both sites - no problem.
But now it connects once and then when either trying to
connect to the other defined site or perhaps a while later to the
first site again (where I connected well on the same day already) I
am getting the error message: 'FTP error - connection to the host
    cannot be madet'.
Basically it will now always only connect daily once.
Anyone any idea what is causing this?
    Many thanks for your help.

These issues are most often associated with your firewall.
    Please try
    disabling it altogether.

  • Problems with FTP Upload

    Hi,
I am fairly new to Dreamweaver and we recently decided to
bring control of our website in house (we are a NPO).
I managed to download our organizations existing website
using the FTP connection in Dreamweaver. Everything went great -
and I started editing one of our pages. As a test I made a small
change and then uploaded the new page (again through FTP) to the
hosting site. It worked fine. Here's where the problems begin - I
decided to continue editing the page (in the local view not the
remote view) and when I was finished tried to upload it exactly the
same way i had done before. Suddenly it was telling me I was no
longer connected. For 2 hours i retried and tried and tried to get
the connection to re-establish - including shutting down
dreamweaver, rebooting my computer etc etc. Nothing worked. My
collegue who is also working on this project with me experienced
the EXACT same problem when she tried on her computer... first
upload is successful but any additional ones don't work. What's
more when you then went to view the actual page in IE (or Firefox)
the page was distorted - only some of the page appeared. The first
time we were missing the flash bar, the second time none of the
pictures showed up etc. In addition i used Link Checker and 66 out
of 80 links were broken (they had not been broken the first time
    the page successfully uploaded).
I am very baffled by this whole situation. Does anyone have
any advice?? Do you think this is a Dreamweaver problem or perhaps
something entirely different? In the end I had to go directly to
our hosting site and re-upload an the old page from a burned CD.
    Thanks!

What happens if you use different FTP software?
I've never used the file transfer part of DW, since the IT
staff where I work only allows ONE specific program to have access
to the server, and they set the access parameters so the program
only allows each user upload or download access to their particular
    program area
Depending on your server's security settings, you might try
other software to see if it works... yes, it is a bit of a PITA to
have to jump from DW to a different program... but, whatever
    works

  • Problems With FTP Users home directory

    Hello Everyone,
I recently ran into a problem when setting the home directory of an ftp user. What I want to be able to do is for example I have two users, one user is User1, and the other is FTPUser. Now when people ftp into the user FTPUser I want to set the home directory to be a certain path in User1. Now I was able to successfully do this on one box when creating the FTPUser I just set the home directory to be the path in User1. And when people ftped into FTPUser they were in the right directory under User1.
I tried to do this same procedure on another box, and after creating the FTPUser and setting its home directory to a path under User1. Now when they ftped into FTPUser it was showing that the home directory was "/". I examined /etc/passwd and it presents the right home directory that I want, yet when people ftp into FTPUser its showing the home directory to be "/". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    -Kevin

Sorry for such a late reply, but I figured out my problem and will put it on here in case other people run into the same problem. You must make the FTPUser be in the same group of the normal users directory path you wish to FTP into. For example the command will look like this when making the FTP user:
    useradd -g "users group number" -d /path/to/file -s /bin/sh ftpusername
so if user1 group id was 110 you would put 110 after -g and set the home dir of the ftpusername to be some path in user1. Thanks all for the help.

  • [SOLVED] wget problem with ftp ( and symlink )

    Hi,

    echo "retrieving $URI"
    wget -r -N $URI
    # ./wget_symlinks $URI

You can save that as "wget_symlinks", then
    chmod 744 wget_symlinks
    ./wget_symlinks ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/snp/database/organism_schema
I didn't download everything so I don't know if there are further symlinks. If there are, comment out the line "wget -r -N $URI" and uncomment "# ./wget_symlinks $URI". It should download everything recursively and then exit.

  • Slow Connection with FTP and SSH after a migration from 10.3.9 to 10.4.6

    Hi all,
I just move my server from 10.3.9 to 10.4.6.
I import all my users and settings.
When i try to connect to my server using FTP or SSH, the connexion is slow.
I have to wait arround 45 sec before connecting to the server ( i never wait with the old 10.3.9 )
    ex of connexion + delay
    I enter : ssh myuser@myserverip
    server : Password: ( 26 sec after i hit the return key !! )
    server : Last login: Tue May 9 11:57:03 2006 from XX.XX.XX.XX ( 2 sec after )
    server : Welcome to Darwin!
It is faster than the first time because the server must store some datas of recent connected users.
I have the same problem with FTP
    Thx for help

    I have this same problem.
I'm not sure how to set up or tweak DNS. Could someone point to where this is accomplished?
I'm not using a DNS server inside our firewall because I'm not sure how it works. I have DNS service turned off on the OS X Server.
