Problem with getting into iPhoto library after downloading an update for iPhoto. It is saying it is locked on a locked disk. how do we fix this?
Have an OS X 10.9.4 and having problems with iPhoto library after installing iPhoto version 9.5.1 This has locked the iPhoto Library on a locked disk. Any idea on how we unlock this disk?
First, if you've moved the iPhoto library to an external drive, make sure that drive is mounted by opening it in the Finder.
The issue can be caused by sharing the photo library on a network (against Apple's advice) or by opening it in more than one local user account at the same time. You may be able to clear the error by logging out or restarting the computer. If not, do as follows.
Quit iPhoto if it's running, locally or on any file-sharing client. Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Usually it's in the Pictures folder, but you may have moved it somewhere else. Right-click or control-click the library icon and select
Show Package Contents
from the popup menu. In the folder that opens, navigate to
Database/apdb/lockfile.pid
and move that file, if it exists, to the Trash. Close the Finder window.

Problem with getting back my library after reinstalation
seems sth's wrong with update. My question is if I'll get back my libraries after reinstalation. I copied all of my libraries to my comp to seperate file.

Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

My ipod wont let me on. It keeps saying the passcode is incorrect and I know its not. I dont have access to my itunes b/c it's on my sisters laptop and I won't see her for a month. Is there any way I can fix this. please help me.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

After downloading 4.0, neither the text in documents nor e-mail text will print. How do I fix this?
I have Windows XP, Yahoo Mail, Kodak Easy Share 5100 all-in-one printer and have been using Firefox for several months now with no problems. Downloaded FF4.0 today. Since downloading, no regular text prints out. All I get in previously save documents are internet links included in the text, but no other text. All I get in my e-mail is the Yahoo Mail Classic logo and any links that were included in the e-mail. Where has the text gone to?

The AVG Safe Search add-on has caused this for some, if you have that one try disabling it. -
HELP I keep getting an error message on my IPHONE 4 that says Unable to connect to Cellular Data and I have tried to reset network settings and factory reset but nothing helping so far. Took it to Verizon and they couldn't fix it either, said it's a problem with the phone itself and to contact Apple. My warranty is expired so Apple isn't much help either. How do I fix this? I have a data package so confused and I have had my phone for over a year but never had this issue before.

Anyone know when Apple will bring out a patch to fix the volume problem you get on mac mini after downloading OS 10.8.5?
Only Apple knows the answer to whether or not there is a verified problem and if so when will a fix be released. As is their custom, Apple does not talk about these things and the rules of these communities prohibit speculation about future udates or upgrades. It is probably safe to say if a fix is deemed necessary it will be called OS X 10.8.6.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? I suspect Mac because of the name your error.

My iPad mini says to connect to iTunes, and I try to restore it, but after its done extracting a message comes up saying that device is not found, is there anyway i can fix this? I don't care if i don't get my stuff back, i just want my iPad restored to its starting settings.
If everything else that you try fails, I would try using another computer. Since you don't care about saving any data, any computer that is running the latest version of iTunes might be able to restore the iPad. You could make an appointment at an Apple Store Genius Bar and they can do it for you.
If that isn't feasible for you, try using a different cable, a different USB port. reboot the computer, and reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Then try again. -
I have a 3rd gen iPod touch and I downloaded the most recent itunes, ever since I did, only the first song syncs to the ipod. As soon as it gets to the second, it still says its syncing. However, nothing happens. How do I fix this? I have restored and updated the ipod. I have the new iTunes. I have restarted my computer checked the connection and everything.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings

Itunes will only download 2KB of a podcast that should be +20MB. Then calls it complete. How do I fix this problem.
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

Try clearing your browser's cache and redownloading the iTunes setup file.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
