Problem with getting updates to install

On one of my computers, I have been having problems getting windows updates to complete They either error out right away with codes that I cannot find any information on. Or, they run correctly but during restart, they error out at 90% (reverting) and never
get installed. This is a Windows 7 SP1 computer and there are about 50 updates that cannot install. I notice that after the update attempt the Windows Update log has the following error:

DnldMgr Regulation: {7971F918-A847-4430-9279-4A52D1EFE18D} - Update F534C799-3255-44C5-841B-F78F82435AD0 is "PerUpdate" regulated and can NOT download. Sequence 1753 vs AcceptRate 0.
DnldMgr * Update is not allowed to download due to regulation.
Seems like a problem but there is no information on this error if I search for it.
Also, I have run the System Update Readiness Tool (KB947821)several times and I was able to remover some of the errors it found except and error with KB2570791 that I cannot fix. It has errors with some fonts (I think), so I tried to remove the update. However
it runs for a while and then says that the update cannot be removed ad quits. So I am stuck with a computer that cannot be updated.

Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:

How do i fix a problem with and update not installing correctly

I am unable to download the new version of itunes onto my computer, keeps telling me that I need to redownload due to a misisng file in the last download.

So I have tried everything I can think of now, even as far as trying to reinstall the previous version of itunes and it is still coming back saying that something is wrong. keeps telling me that something is wrong with my ability to load the mobile user. if it is as easy as running in admin, which i thought i already was running as, at what point and where do I find the application to run as admin?

I've been using it on all of my computer without any problems. Remember you won't see any positive comments here. Everyone here is complaining about a problem. If you want a good experience with any upgrade or update first make a backup from which you can boot the computer. If you are installing an update, like 10.10.3 for example, always download and install the Combo Updater - OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Combo Update. Before you install any update or upgrade over an existing system you should do this:Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

First, if you've moved the iPhoto library to an external drive, make sure that drive is mounted by opening it in the Finder.
The issue can be caused by sharing the photo library on a network (against Apple's advice) or by opening it in more than one local user account at the same time. You may be able to clear the error by logging out or restarting the computer. If not, do as follows.
Quit iPhoto if it's running, locally or on any file-sharing client. Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Usually it's in the Pictures folder, but you may have moved it somewhere else. Right-click or control-click the library icon and select
Show Package Contents
from the popup menu. In the folder that opens, navigate to
Database/apdb/lockfile.pid
and move that file, if it exists, to the Trash. Close the Finder window.

Problem with an update page.

I have a problem with an update page on my website
Here's how it work
values are defualted in from the advert table - this works fine
I should then be able to change the fields and click on the update button
This works fine but ONLY when the O_year field is populated.
There doesn't seem to be anything special about the O_year field
I thought spry text validation would of been causing the issues, but I removed them and have the same problem.
For some reason the POST_MMupdate value is not being set to 'form4', which it is doing if O_year is set.
Please can someone have a look at this, code,
Also, is there a way of 'stepping through' dreamweaver code to debug it?

Maybe it was because the text field in a $GET (for the default) AND a $PUT (for the update)

I am sorry to say that, but your security makes my life miserable – it’s been 2 months since my Apple ID account got stuck, and since then I cannot update 37 applications (to date), i.e. most of my applications. Half of them I bought. I also paid for iCloud, and it is not working. I paid money and I am stuck with old applications and no iCloud. Your security *****. Your service ***** too. It took your service 1 month to finally understand why this happened to me, and it took me tens of emails to you and 3 hours of telephone conversation to find out the reason for my problem. And the problem is still not fixed. NOT FIXED. You just leave your customer – the one who paid you money and spent so much time with you trying to help you help me – and nothing. Get someone in the partners-telephone carriers company (it is Orange as carreer and Cellcom as seller of the phone) authorized to Identify me in personal encounter in one of the branches in Israel (where I live) and make sure it is really me, and get the ******* system accept my password and let me use my phone.
Otherwise **** off. None of my friends will get my advise to buy an iphone or any of apple products. And I think you should be very attentive to cases like this, guys. Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

i think it's Service Pack 1 beacause there were problems with SP2 updates with some programs, so this version works Ok with all my software... until now. i Know there's a SP3 and it is an obsolate OS but i like it and works well in this PC.
Do you think that it's the problem? i must install SP3?

Problems with gunnerz update

CS4 Problem with Template Updates

There's another thread on this subject, but I couldn't see any final resolution.
I'm having a problem with Template Update.
I have all pages in site linked to a single template. I built the template 1st and then created each page from the template using normal method.
When I now make a change to the template, I save the template and it automatically saves and opens a box to select pages to update. I do NOT have to use the Updates feature on the top menus, but I have done that too just to try different things. When I select all the files, it updates them all, most of them correctly. BUT, one or several of them will have a NEW Main Content (and sometimes header) superimposed on top of the existing Main Content (or header). It shifts the page downward and to the right. By the way, down below the screwed section, the content is all still there and the original template is still intact under the screwed up area.
To fix it, I create a new page from the template and start over inserting the Main Content, which is nothing special, just formatted text. Next time I update, that same page will always get screwed up again, but sometimes 1 or more different pages will also get screwed up in the same way, always with a new nested Main Content area (on top of the original or sometimes pushed down half a page).
I thought it might be because of a nested Main Content in that section of the template, but I see none, or any other abnormal html. It does not do this to all 20-30 pages, just one every time and one or more random ones. I see nothing in html different from one page to the next.
Don't know how to attach documents to this, but I have the template and two of the screwed up pages to send.

These pages are out of their normal directory, so the supporting links won't work, but you can see the code. Look at the home page and you can see what all the pages are supposed to look like.
The template which created the problem with the pages below is at /support/TEMPLATE index.dwt
The page that consistently fails is called poatool.html - the bad one is at /support/BAD poatool.html
A 2nd page that failed on that UPDATE is there also - /support/BAD bibliography.html
The currently working copy of the page that fails everytime is /articles/poatool.html.

Problem with spam update

Hi,
I have some problem with SPAM update.
my SPAM version is 620/patch level is 23 on kernal 620.
I was upgraded my kernal from 620 to 640.
after that i downloaded the SPAM (SAPKD64023) from marketplace, and uncar that patch by using sapcar xvf. After that I went to transaction SPAM and selected option spam/saint update, then I am getting error called
*spam/asint update SAPKD62023 has already been imported successfully
*so please tell me how to update SPAM version from 620/23 to 640

& 470 indicates Aplications & HR release

it's well known, that in all these cases you describe I'm not a friend of a detailed Troubleshooting (I see Nancy#s smile already).
To be able to be independent in all this things It is one of the reasons why I prefer an external FTP program. The difficulties with which you have to fight encourage me in this opinion, not least because we always search for experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
To manage several websites or to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server or to use a "a site-wide synch", I'm using FileZilla. It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
And even if it means you have to install a new program, I am convinced that there is an advantage. Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:

Recent problems with Windows Update with Thinkpad 8

Since last week I've started having problems with Windows Update on ny Thinkpad 8. It seems to be related with some recent update. At first I received different error codes. As I don't have many programs on my tablet, I refreshed it and set up Windows and Office again. I ran WU, and after the first update (with 100+ updates) WU was working ok. However, after a second set of updates (probably the most recent) I've started receiving error messages again. Most recently I am receiving code 80070002, and the error seems to affect only the installation of Windows Defender definitions through WU -- other WU updates install correctly, and most of the time I can install Windows Defender updates through Windows Defender. I have already tried the Windows Update Diagnostic tool, but the problem persists.

I still have the same problem with Live update 2.
I've downloaded newer Bios update but it's 13 MB... it's obvious that I can not have
in floppy disk and I'm a little bit uncomfortable of updating bios from CD-rom .
But what else can I do, besides updating Bios to get out of this Live update from start-up.
Should I clear CMOS?

you did not specify if you got L or ILRS.
also dont use live update.
