Problem with going through Fluxbox menus

I have a problem. Right-click to open the menu, then I go until the "choose a style" or somewhere deeper. When I come back to something like "File utils" and still the cursor, it doesn't open further menu automatically like those from the beginning to "choose a style". I have to click to open it. When I was going down to "choose a style" - menus were opening automatically with some delay, as it's supposed to be. But it always stops to behave like this after few menus I go through until I close the whole menu and open it again with right-click. I have the latest Fluxbox and everything up to date. Help me to fix this please.

Yea I noticed the same problem...
I haven't used fluxbox in quite a while..I just installed it recently because I couldn't get awesome-wm to build properly after reinstalling arch due to hard-drive failure..

ITS 6.20 SP18 Problem with the top bar menus

Hello Henning,
we're using ITS 6.20 SP18 and experience a problem with the top bar menus in the SAPGUI for HTML (Enjoy Design) in both MSIE 6 and Moz Firefox 1.0.4.
When clicking the dropdown menus in the top bar the menu simply won't open. This only occurs in all of our homegrown (Z*) services when dropping into SAPGUI for HTML (ITS is in mixed mode). However - When running service WEBGUI seperately (via ...scripts/wgate/WEBGUI/! ) the menus work funnily enough.
This worked fine prior to the upgrade. Is there a new service parameter that I need to set? Have you got any more documentation? I checked out any related SAPNet notes on the SP18 documentation sheet, but couldn't find anything related.

Hp 8600 All in one printer problem with scanning through wired network its very slow!

i have problem with scanning thru network which takes almost more than 2minutes very slow compared to scanning when printer connected locally with USB. i need some solution to fix this issue. Plz advise me what needs to be done prior to scanning?

I understand your printer is not connecting wireless and only connecting USB. I have some questions and ideas for you that should help. Let's get to it!
Could you please remove the USB cable, run the Print and Scan Doctor again and send me a screen shot of the results from running the diagnostic tool?
Also let me know which model from the C7200 series you have:

Try power cycling the network devices:
Turn off the printer and computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press any buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, next turn on the printer and computer. Run the Print and Scan Doctor afterwards and try printing.

Problem with Printing through Deskjet F4288 on Network

Need suggestion to sortout the problem with HP Deskjet F4288 All in one Printer. This printer is installed on Windows XP OS System and when we try to give print on the network through other WinXp OS system then the spooler stopes working on the main system on which this printer is connected.

Problem with printing through SAP

Hi All,
We have problem with printing, only one person through SAP can only print the documents successfully and the remaining are getting incomplete print output. This is happening only for transactions GD23 and FB03 (FI related transactions). We have tried with removing Saplpd folder and installing Sprint as suggested by SAP from note 894444. Still problem persists. Please suggest me in this regards.

We are using Front end printing and already installed SAP GUI new version i.e. 7.10.
Only one user is able to print the document correctly from SAP, and other are getting incorrect print and getting error message "System cannot print the last 80 columns of the report" on one system.
SAP version we are using is 4.7EE.
Let me know if any more information needed for analysing the issue.

Problem with Inspector pull-down menus

I have this weird problem with DVD Studio Pro all of a sudden. I'm wondering if a recent update might have broken something, and how I can fix it.
The problem is that certain pull-down menus in the Inspector are not responding anymore. Important ones too, like "set target" and "end jump," Remote Control functions, as well as ones I don't use as often like Shape (button shape?). I click on them and nothing happens, although sometimes the default "not set" text disappears. These menus are in the same place in the Inspector, so this may or may not have something to do with it, I have no idea.
At any rate, I can't make a DVD without these functions, and I usually need to make a DVD once or twice a week. Although it has been two weeks since I last used it.
I am almost positive that nothing has changed with my system since I used it last, besides Apple Software Updates.
Version 2.0.5, OSX Tiger. I know, time to upgrade, but I don't control the budget.

Just the Inspector, i haven't found any other problems.
Quicktime was updated a few days before the problem started. On May 27th I ran the updates for Quicktime 7.4.5, ProKit 4.5, iTunes 7.6.2, and Safari 3.1.1. I noticed the problem with the DVDSP Inspectors the next time I ran the program on May 29.
I understand the ProKit is for a later version so I'm a bit mystified as to why I was offered the update, however I've installed previous ProKit updates without any problems.
A clean install will certainly be my next step. But I have to wait for a lull in real work activity before I can get into that. Luckily I've remembered that I can accomplish a lot of what I needed the inspector for under the Connections tab, so it's a little less urgent now.
I'm usually pretty careful about running updates, and I usually ignore them for a few weeks (or longer) before I run the updates so I can monitor the internet for other people's disasters. But I got lazy this time. Maybe there are not too many DVDSP v2 installations out there. And maybe I need to increase the pressure on my company to update my software!
On that note, this experience is helping my case with convincing them to replace one of the old Avids with a new FCS suite, so it might become a moot point. Will the license allow me to operate DVDSP4 on a different machine or does it have to stay on the main suite, if we go that way? We like to process the output on another box, so the editors can get on with the next project.

My smaller text which appears in white says Scenes 1-6. The pass through text which is larger and has a different image in it says "Pass Through Chapters" and it rolls by while the smaller text stays put. I notice the image that shows through the pass through text is the same image I set on the main DVD screen. On that one my name of my disc roll past in giant see through letters. I like that but I just don't want that same effect on my chapters screens.
Can the image behind the rolling text be changed to the current window and not the main menu image?

Thanks for the tip and figured out to delete my "Scenes 1-6" that was automatically created when, in iMovie, I shared the movie to iDVD with chapters. The menu title text block doesn't like cut/paste and I had to retype the "Scenes 1-6" text for the motion/peek-through scrolling text to refresh.
Hmmm, but how tricky is that and where is it mentioned in the help/faq files etc?

Problem with Mega Stick 1 Menus

I am facing a strange problem with Mega Stick 1.
I press the 'Jog Dial' menu button to access the menus. I do see all the sub menus but when I press the jog Dial again to go into the sub menu my Mega Stick takes me back to the mail menu. So basically I cannot go into any sub menu.
I upgraded the firmware of Mega Stick and the sub menus worked only once after the upgradation and after that the sub menues stopped working again.
Anyone has any clue what is wrong and how can I fix it???/

Problems with playback through iPod headphones

I've had an issue when I plug in my supplied iPod headphones that the audio playback is muted and the vocals unclear. I checked the headphones on my Mac and when plugged all the way in...same result. Any suggestions short of returning them?

Yes I'm using iTunes to rip the CDs.
I've tried ripping some songs to AAC 256 kbps without VBR, AAC 128 kbps without VBR, MP3 256 kbps with VBR, MP3 256 kbps without VBR and MP3 128 kbps without VBR. Same problem. Songs play fine on computer when played out of iTunes. Put songs on Shuffle and some will play and other will partially play before skipping to the next song.
The same songs ripped to AAC 256 kbps with VBR played just fine on my first generation 1GB Shuffle. On the new 2GB Shuffle they don't. I wasn't worried when the 2GB Shuffle I bought had a problem I thought it was just a case of one bad apple in the bunch (no pun intended). Now that I've gotten the replacement 2GB Shuffle and it has the same problem I'm left wondering if there's not a problem with them in general.

Problems with scrolling through premiere timeline using arrow keys and shift arrow

This is a really weird problem in cs6.
When I load a clip into the source monitor i can scroll throughit fine using the arrow keys, and shift arrows and my shuttle pro controller.
When I place the same clip on to the timeline it really struggles to scroll using the arrows or the shuttle pro, its really kerky and sdlwo to scroll the timeline, which is really frstrating, becuase it can play the footage fine in the source monitor.
The clips will playback fine, but scrolling through them just doesn't work as it should any ideas?

I changed my shuttle settings to make the shuttling more responsive:
1 - 5 times second
2 - 10
3 - 15
4 - 30
5 - 45
6 - 60
7 - fast as possible
At least I changed this a long time ago - don't know if these are the defaults or not.
It'll only shuttle as fast as your system is responsive of course - so if you get instantaneous scrubbing by dragging the CTI in the timeline with the mouse, you should be able to get good performance with the shuttle. Of course that performance depends on the type of footage and how demanding it is on CPU to decode and whether youi have effects applied etc etc etc.
I edit pretty much exclusively with Sony XDCAM EX 1080P 25 footage we've shot on EX3 and PMW-350 etc and I get very very fast performance on the timeline - no issues at all i7 6 core 4GHz with 24Gb ram and fairly fast RAID array for footage.

Problem with dblink through ODBC

Hi. Our company are trying to connect to an Oracle 7.3.4 database from Oracle 10g through an ODBC link (using Microsoft Oracle ODBC driver). The database link is working when we test it in SQL Plus, meaning that select * from tablename@dblinkname is working. But, when we are using

Why is this happening when the tatabase link is working with regular selects?
We think that the problem is centered around the odbc and db link settings. Could it be that we need to specify more in the HS init file? This is our file initTEST_SID.ora:

I tried the same thing when we needed to connect a 9i database to a 7.3.4 database, but could not get it to work.
Instead, we used a database link to an 8i database which had a database link to our 7.3.4 database. We had to set up some views on the 8i database to hide the link, but it was only temporary. If you go down this route, check your licensing situation.

Problems with going from Pagemaker to InDesign

Hello,
I'm going to try to make my problem as understandable as possible.
I work at a compay that has been making their catalog with Pagemaker, its a very small company so no real expertiese in PM or ID.
I know many are going to crinch when they hear this, but we are using links from excel to PM.
These links are used to change the language of the catalog. The basic idea is that the catalog is pretty much the same in all languages and its only small ammounts of text that changes depending on the language (most of it is numbers).
So we have a excel sheet with x columns where every column represents one language, every row represents a different textline. We also have a master column wich is the one that is linked to PM. This gives us the opportunity to change the language of the catalog by just pasting different language columns into the master column and update PM.
Most of you can probably see where this is going.
In design doesnt support links to excel it seems. So i was wondering if anyone has an idea that could help us transfer our catalog to ID in a smooth way and maby at the same time give us ideas how to improve our way of changing language, without too much hassle.
Any help is very appriciated

I use ID CS5.5 Version 7.5 (I think its the newest one), if this version supports conditional text it seems its an option that would be interesting to look into. I imagine it works as layers? I choose to show only the english/german/russian/.... layer of text so to say?
Does it work in the way that i make one textbox and write 3 different text's (languages) in that box and it only shows one or do i work with 3 different textboxes on top of eachother? i guess it would also be possible to link all the english/russian/german text together so i change them all at once in the entire catalog?

AUTH-PROXY PROTOCOL NOT CONFIGURED.
could someone pls help me what could be the problem. i am have tried many times to get this work. but not fortunate enough.
am i missing on any commands on the router or on the acs. i tried doing as the example mentioned in the student guide but still failed. pls help. waiting for some reply.
