Problem with graph pivoted result

Hi Experts,
i created one report in pivot table view , in that one column having values like 30%,30-40%,40-50% so on...
so i placed that column in column section so..in the pivot view i got the column values like above..but, when i tried to check the graph pivoted result i am getting 6 to 7 individual pie charts(for 30% one pie chart,30-40
% one pie chart so onn..) for my report which is not required..
i need only single pie chart,,..
can any one help me pls

here problem is want to see both pivot table view and corresponding graph pivoted result in 11g.
we can check the option for graph results ryt in pivot table like i did that.
i am not creating separate graph view.
so how can i do this??

Problem with Chart Pivoted Results

Hi,
I have upgraded catalog from 10.1.3.4.2 to 11.1.1.6.0 everything went fine.
All reports are working but the report having Chart Pivoted Results doent show Chart.
I tried to edit that request but no luck. it only shows Pivot table but no graph.
And Strange thing is when i export the report to PDF. PDF shows Pivot table as well as graph. (Same happens on Dashboard also)
Any clue on this?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Same issue is with BI apps Catalog not able to see chart which has column with percentage data type.
Hope oracle is looking into it and will release patch soon.

Problem with Graphs

Hi
We are facing a strange problem with graphs in BeX.
We are making graph on summarized data and storing it in workbooks.The problem im facing is that whenever the query is refreshed the Graph gets scattered.for e.g X axis becomes Y and things like that,
pls share your experience and a way to fix this problem

Problem with graphs on repeating frames

Is it possible to use graphs showing correct data within repeating frames?
We experienced problems with graphs within repeating frames, each occurrence of a graph shows the same picture (using data that corresponds to the first frame).

Sounds like the source data for the Graph is the wrong Group.

OBIEE10G - Javascript problems with graphs

Hi,
Is there any known problem with using javascript and the display of graphs? I have a report where i have a pivot table where i use some javascript to format that table. Below that table i have 2 graphs that are different reports from the one with the pivot table (see images below).

I guess the problems may be related with javascript because when i remove the javascript from the pivot table (i have it in a static text view) the graphs seem to work ok.
I'm not an expert (far from that) with javascript and i was playing around with it so i could format the pivot table the way i wanted but i don't have enough knowledge of it to understand what may be causing the problem.

I didn't do that because the line i want to format is a "manually" built line. I want to format the last line (total line) but that line wasn't made using the total feature of OBIEE but built by myself. What i do in that line is changing the background color of all the cells in that last line and changing the font-size as well.
Would i be able to do this just by using CSS? From what i read i think i can't that's why i used JS.
Btw, what i did is related to this other thread i created where i explained my problem, this may help:

Performance problem with graphs on Tabs (LV7.1)

I have huge performance problems in a subsystem using tab controls with graphs on top. The whole thing worked nice, until I record a measurement (abou 10k of double as data displayed on the graph). The win task manager indicates above 50% on both CPUs, the app hangs (or lags), my queues generate timeout messages...
The graph is located in one of the pages of a tab control. As well are several clusters of config data for the measurement.
As I said, the problems started, when I put the data of that size on the graph indicator.
The clusters are some nested typ defs, but it worked with them before, no huge arrays involved. All are bundled in a huge cluster (less than 1 k if saved as xml).
So I wonder, if the clusters and/or the graphs are the problem PLUS is that problem resolved in current LV-Versions (hoping to get the faster car & and I love the current GUI with tabs)?
Sorry, can't post the code, but if none of you knows that kind of problems and I can't solve it on my on in an hour or so, I can make some imitation code.

How many graphs are you referring to?
Are they all on your User Interface and running in the UI thread?
You might want to try putting your graphs in their own threads i.e., called dynamically or otherwise in a structure that allows LabVIEW to put them in their own thread. I've gotten good performance out of a PXI-8106 controller by calling a graph template dynamically. That's four graphs showing at once, 12 plots per graph, 10000 XY value pairs per plot. Each graph was setup to get its data every 50-200ms.
How much data you can plot with decent performance also depends on the hardware you're using, i.e., CPU speed, RAM size, video capability, etc. It can also depend on how efficiently you've coded your application. Are you initializing your data arrays and using "Replace Subset" or are you using the less efficient "Build Array" for example?

Problems with obtaining actual results using the FFT VI.

I'm using the FFT express VI and graphing the results. My experiment involves decreasing the amplitude of a 100Hz acoustic pressure wave, ideally to zero, by phasing it with another signal of the same frequency and amplitude. According to other analysis I believe that the amplitude from the FFT of the signal is increasing and then decreasing. However, I am not able to visually see this in real-time on the graphical display.
The change in amplitude is happening quickly, every few ms. Is this timing to fast for the process to maintain proper resolution? Is there a way to make the output from the FFT more sensitive?

The period of a 100 Hz signal is 10 ms. If your amplitude is changing every few ms, an FFT is not going to reflect this accurately. The FFT is basically defined for constant amplitude during the segment of signal being analyzed. The FFT also typically requires several cycles to give useful results. If it changes during this time, other techniques must be used to detect that. There is a large body of literature on time-frequency analysis dealing with this topic.

Problem with my Bluetooth resulting in auto rebooting.

I am having a problem with my bluetooth ever since I bought XPERIA mini st15i. The first time it occured, I took it to the customer care, they solved the problem. The problem did occur again after 2 weeks. So, I again took it to Service. They resolved it again. This problem has occured about 8 times. Ever since I tranfer some files through bluetooth from gallery or file explorer, the phone restatrs again and again. It shows the Xperia logo and then agin, it auto reboots until the battery dies off. I updated the phone yesterday and the problem is occuring today again. My warranty period is over, so what can I do? In the warranty period, they changed my hardware but still the problem persists.
I think it's some kind of bluetooth bug. Can it be fixed?

I am developing a report with 3 columns
1. Year
2. Customer name
3. Amount
I need Year in Ascending & Amount Descending (Group by Year and then Desc by amount)
In Table view data is displayed correctly, but in Pivote Table it’s not sorting correctly
Table View ( This is correct)

For year 2003 in place of 'x' value a9 value has to be shown........

If it's caused by the ascendant order, the only way that you have is to pivot your table :

Problem with transform(source, result)

Dear gurus,
I have DOM document as source in my java program. The document has data for 1 record insert into a table.
The insert will be done on the database side with dbms_xmlsave.insertxml(insctx, xmldoc) where xmldoc is my document and has VARCHAR2 type.
I am looking for the correct syntax at the time when I do
transformer.transform(source, result);
so that I can pass 'result' to my database function that will do the insert with dbms_xmlsave.
Can I have 'result' as of type 'String'?

Never mind - I found an example, I am using

but now the problem is with the first line of the xml doc which is
<?xml version = '1.0'?>
The CallableStatement doesn't like the single quotes! What should I do - get rid of the first line OR change single quote with douable quotes OR may be something else?

Having a problem with writing pivoting query.

I have a query with one input parameter. It gives different result based on the input provided.
For example
1. If i give input as date1 the output would be as follows.
Col1     Col2     Col3
name1     v1     10
name1     v2     14
name2     v1     15
name3     v3     202. If i give input as date2 the output would be as follows.
Col1     Col2     Col3
name2     v1     14
name2     v2     10
name3     v1     8
name3     v2     14
name1     v1     10
name1     v2     34
name1     v4     23
name1     v5     10
name4     v1     12
name4     v2     14
name4     v4     18
name4     v5     20
name5     v1     14
name5     v2     10and so on for diff inputs, I get diff output.
Now, I am trying to write a query which would give me the pivot data on the outputs shown above.
For Example
1. For the first output on the top, the pivot query should return the data as follows:
      name1     name2     name3
v1     10     15     0
v2     14     0     0
v3     0     0     202. For the second output on the top, the pivot query should return the data as follows:
      name1     name2     name3     name4     name5
v1     10     14     8     12     14
v2     34     10     14     14     10

I would be greatly thankful for any kind of input provided since.

Thanks for your response, I did have a look at the thread which had the options for both static as well as the dynamic pivoting.
But as you said this scenario needs a dynamic SQL. The only constraint is, I need to plug in the SQL into HTML-DB and spooling would not be feasible. That's the reason I am trying to frame a query around the current query which gives me the base data to be pivoted. I am also keeping my options open on coming up with PL/SQL block, which can integrate well with HTML-DB.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be helpful.

Plot showing problem with graph

Hi everybody!
Now I've come to dead end with my vi. I don't know why my vi doesn't show the trend line anymore. The previous version I did show the line, but now I've tried many things but the line wouldn't show up.
The idea is that graph shows max, mean and min values as a trendline by pressing a save button. And a x value is generated by a same button and it demonstrates distance between saving points.
The attached Vi illustrates my latest attempt.

Problems with graphs

Hi,
I 've create a graph in graph builder which I have integrated in my report.. I put a link on it (hyperlink graph).
1. the picture ddoesn't appear like in the runtime (there are a lot of string in the image). Is it possible to generate ajpeg rather than a gif ?
2. No links appears on the graph..!!

Is it possible that you want to create something like an XY chart, i.e. an XY graph that updates as new points are added during execution?
LabVIEW includes an example. Look for XY chart in the example browser.
Even simpler, you could do something like in the attached VI (LabVIEW 7.0).
