@pz1,
Welcome to the forums!
I understand your print jobs are printing out with partial printing on them, and I hope to help!
I am curious to know if the issue could be within the printer hardware itself, and would like you to print out a diagnostic test page to find out.

  • My Deskjet 1000 J110 series is cutting off bottom parts of sentences?

My Deskjet 1000 J110 series is cutting off bottom parts of sentences. I have not had this problem in the past. It only does it to a few sentences & my headers.
What could be causing this and what can I do about it?

    Hi IlianaGrace96,
There are several things that can cause your problem.  I would start by reviewing the following HP Consumer Support document:
Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems
    1. Perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back.  Leave it out for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
    2. Use the automated tool to align the cartridges.
    3. Use the automated tool to clean the cartridges.
    4. Manually clean the cartridges with a lint free cloth and water.
    5. Try soaking your printheads in semi warm water for about 5 minutes.
    I hope this helps.

  • HP Deskjet 1000 J110 - Pausing causes long print times

Hi everyone. My company just bought the Deskjet 1000 J110 series for our shipping computer.
Every time we try to print, the machine pulls the paper in a few inches and pauses while the power light is flashing. It will sit like this for a few moments before printing a few more lines and pausing again (with the power light flashing.) It repeats this process several times. Sometimes, maybe only one line will print, other times it will be more. Eventually, the entire page IS printed and looks just fine with crisp readable text or barcodes with no visible errors. However, it takes anywhere between 1 and 3 minutes to print a full page. This happens whether it is a shipping barcode, a body of text from Word, or even the ‘Print Test Page’ option under the printer properties. Seriously, it took me ten minutes to print six pages today, and they were each only about a half a page of content.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I’ve included some system information for reference.

    Hi,
The symptoms you described will most likely indicate a communication issue.
Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer, then try printing an hardware self test print as following:
While holding the power button pressed, open and close the Cartridge Access Door for 10 times, then release the power button.
If the self test being printed as it should, try plugging the USB cable into a different USB port, make sure to connect it directly to a free USB port on the back of your PC and not by using any USB hub.
If there is still no change, i would suggest you to try using a differenct USB cable and check for any change.
If the same appears while printing a self test with no USB attached, it might be a cartridge problem affecting the device.
If so, contact the local HP Call Center in order to troubleshoot the problem and provide any required service according.
You may find the local number listed below:

  • HP Deskjet 1000 j110 sleep mode on Mac OSX 10.7.2

Just bought a Deskjet 1000 j110 for an iMac.  I have it hooked up and updated drivers loaded (as of 11/21/11).  When I let the printer sit idle, it appears to go into a sleep mode (power button fades in and out).  When attempting to print, I see "Waiting for printer to become available" in the print queue window.  It remains this way and never actually prints.  I hit the power button, thinking that pressing the it would bring the printer out of sleep mode, but it didn't work.
My work around is to physically pull the power cable from the printer and reconnect it.  Once that happens, the HP utilities see it again, and the print job goes through.  Obviously, this is not the way it should work.  It seems there is something wrong with the driver on Mac OSX 10.7.2 - I would think there would be code to 'waken' the printer and submit the job, but apparently not.
Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with this configuration and/or driver?

    Hello cfournival,
As this is an older thread I want to verify that you are using the latest driver and sofware for Mac OSX.

  • Deskjet 1000 J110 stopped checking ink levels

    Hi
    I have a Deskjet 1000 J110 and I'm running Windows 7.
The HP software used to allow me to check ink levels, now it doesn't. I checked them no more than 2 weeks ago without a problem. Now, when I tried to check them, the option simply wasn't there. I'm not sure, but I think the shortcut on the HP menu folder is directing me to the Control Panel printers folder, not to the HP software like it used to.
Anyone has any idea what the problem might be?
    Cheers!

    Hi seileach,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I read your post and see that the Printer Assistant isn't opening to view the ink levels when you click on the printer shortcut.
I will be happy to help you.
Try going to start, all programs, HP, Deskjet 1000 J110, then click on the Deskjet 1000 J110 again to see if the Printer Assistant will now open this way.
If not, then most likely the driver is corrupted. I would uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

Having problems with Bridge shutting down after saving photo in PS Cs5,,,,,,,,,  Also when i attempt to update either PS or bridge get an error message in Adobe application manger "Error loading updater workflow"

Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

  • Problem with HP DeskJet 845c in 10.4 Tiger

Recently I migrated an iBook G3 from Mac OS 9 to MacOS X (Tiger 10.4.10). And we also use a new MacBook.
But there's a big problem with the *HP DeskJet 845c* Printer:
    - printing works with Word, but *doesn't with AppleWorks or Mail (2.1.1)*
    - I have the latest Updates and looked for the latest HP DeskJet software, but this is the newest, version 3.3
    - I spoke with HP support, but they said that this is a problem in OS X
    - until now in MacOS 9 the printer worked fine
    The problem is:
    - from Mail only the header will be printed, but not the message itself
    - from AppleWorks is ssems as if only the first "pixel-rows are printed from each line
    Any help?

Hello, Same problem with HP Deskjet 895Cse. I had printer on my G4 tower running 10.3. My macbook pro was networked through the G4 to printer, all good. I just moved my printer and plugged in directly to macboook pro USB port................ Iregular printing. With normal size fonts, 12, just the top few pixels of each sentence gets printed. With larger fonts like 36 or 48, the print is pretty interesting, but not readable. Sometmes it just spits out pages with 1 sentence, top bit only, on each page. Appleworks, word & pdf's from preview, all print the same. HP alignment, HP test , HP clean all show normal. ?????????????????????

  • Installation of HP Deskjet 1000 J110 Series

    Dear Guys,
I bought an HP Deskjet 1000 Printer J110 Series. Unfortunately, the installation CD that came with the Printer is for Mac OS X Versions 10.5 and 10.6 and i can't install it onto my MacBook Pro using the Mac OS X 10.8.4 Version. I have also tried to search on the website any possible solutions and have come along none.
Is any one out there who can help out?
    Thanks
    Maurice

When I connect the printer to the laptop, with Internet connected, the computer tries to automatically search for availability of printer drivers. However, at the end of the search a message is retuned that there are no available drivers for installation of the said printer and that I should check software update later.

  • Printing problem with HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series

I have a HP deskjet 3050 all in one J610 series which I am using with Windows Vista Version 6.0 (Build 6006: Service pack 2).  Connecting is by USB port.  I have not used the printer for some time, but have done all the maintence checks & it is good to go.  When I want to print a letter the only thing that gets printed is the email address which is coloured blue.  I think the problem is in the settings of the printer features.  I can print the letter in gray scale but this is not easy to read and not suitable for business dealings.
I would appreciate help with this problem.  A definition of the terms used in the printer features might help me resolve it by my self.
    Thanks

Thank  you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I understand you are running into some print quality problems with your HP Deskjet 3050. I see when you attempt to print a letter you will only see the email address and its in blue ink.
First I would like you to click here to download and run the Print and Scan Doctor > www.hp.com/go/tools- It was designed by HP to provide users with the troubleshooting and problem solving features needed to resolve many common problems experienced with HP print and scan products connected to Windows-based computers.

    1. What is your current Operating system, Windows or Mac and which version?
    2. How is the printer connected, USB or Wireless?
    3. If you print a test page from the front panel do you see the same issue?

  • Problems with using Deskjet 3745 on 2-PC home network

I have an old PC running Windows XP SP3 and a new one running Windows 7, but only one printer. The network connecting the PCs is on an ADSL router with to its own external Iomega network drive with a USB port.
To make the printer usable on both PCs,
I originally connected it to the Iomega USB port. But the port was effectively a 1-way connection only, so I could not  get a print-preview to see which form/profile the printer was using. So I junked that and...
reverted to connecting the printer to one PC permanently and sharing it on the network. But the two PCs required different drivers which would not talk to each other, and the set-up simply would not work.
Finally I went back to the straightforward method of plugging the printer into the USB port of whichever PC I needed to us it on. That worked fine for a while until the WIN 7
print-preview started showing blank images (but printing correctly).
print-spooling failed to cope with cancelled documents.
I have had Deskjet Support's help in trying to sort this out, which including reinstalling the drivers on both PCs - several times! But I am still left with solution 3 giving problems with Win 7.
Has anybody encountered a similar situation and found a satisfactory working solution?
    This question was solved.

Try the following: connect the printer to the XP machine and set the XP machine to share this on the network.  On the Windows 7 machine go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a Printer, Local Printer, Create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the actual share name for the computer and printer), OK, then click on Windows Update and then select the HP (not Hewlett-Packard) Deskjet 3740 series (LiDiL).

  • Problem with HP Deskjet F2210

I have a deskjet F2210 and am having problems with it, of course it's out of warranty and I've tried just about everything.  All of the lights on top are on solid.  I cannot turn off my printer and when I try to run the diagnostic, it says that the printer is not connected.  I don't know how to make sure it's connected, when I go to printers and faxes, it says that it's online and ready.  Any help would be very much appreciated.

I would suggest you disconnect the USB cable to the printer, then remove the power cord from the printer and wait 30 seconds or so.  Now plug the power cord back in, then reconnect the USB cable.

  • Problem with HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3515 printer

Hello. First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
I recently bought a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3515 printer. The printer works fine (prints, scans and copies). There is only one problem with it. It returns me an error when I'm shutting it off. This happens very often but not always, it is kinda annoying. The error is displayed as: ERROR CODE 0X02B7C2ED SM_MODULE C  (the error is also shown on the image). I tried to Google the problem but without effects. I don't know what could be the problem. Can someone help me please, because I have no idea what could be the issue. Thanks for any replays.
