  • HP DeskJet 2050, J510 series

How do I eliminate the header and page numbers from my printed documents/

It is possible that the virus removal took some of the scanning software with it. Let's try a complete uninstall, computer check and install.
Use this Microsoft tool to uninstall: Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled, all the printer software.
Run the System File Check on the computer: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.
Install any and Windows updates on the computer, Optional updates would not be needed.
Restart the computer, if after the updates it didn't on its own.
Download and install the printer software with the Printer Install Wizard.
Let me know if you are able to scan now.

  • Print page preview wont load hp deskjet 2050 j510 series , windows xp

Hello euless609, It won't load print preview at all or it is blank?Multiple programs or a specific program?Has the issue always happened or is this a new recent occurance?

Hello eluess609, It's happening with multiple programs on your computer? Print Preview is not a software component that is dependant of a printer. So you can have no printers installed, but still have print preview. If it's failing it's likely something on the OS level that is causing the issue.
Does print preview work in safe mode? Can you include a screenshot of what you are seeing? I have seen numerous reports of print preview not working in Chrome, but your issue seems to be with many programs so that doesn't appear to be the same issue.

    Hey RedDave,
If the unit is printing an alignment page on each start up, then the unit is failing to align.  If the unit fails to align, then it will attempt to do so on the next start up.  Do you get an alignment failed message on the computer screen?
I would advise following the steps in the document linked below to troubleshoot this condition in your Deskjet 2050 J510 series All-in-One.

Let me know how it goes,

  • My HP Deskjet 2050 J510 can NOT scan for my MBA.

My HP Deskjet 2050 J510 can NOT scan with my MBA. It could not print before I download the printer driver as described in the below link...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670
    After install the printer drive...
Now the printing function works fine, but the scan function won't work. Could anyone give me a suggestion to make both printing and scanner functions work?
    Thank you
    Bill

Try to re-install the drivers and software for the printer.
You can also try to run the print and scan doctor, and see if it will auto-fix it.

  • HP DeskJet 2050 j510 doesn't scan

    Hi.
I've followed instructions at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sa … P_hardware to configure HP DeskJet 2050 j510 but I still can't make scanner to work.
XSane just throws lots of error windows with I/O errors.
    scanimage gives this:
scanimage: sane_start: Error during device I/O
    Closing device
    Calling sane_exit
    scanimage: finished
In journal I see the following:
    Jun 06 20:18:42 localhost.localdomain scanimage[7307]: scan/sane/http.c 346: invalid http_status=500
    Jun 06 20:18:42 localhost.localdomain scanimage[7307]: scan/sane/http.c 350: dumping len=194
    Jun 06 20:18:43 localhost.localdomain scanimage[7307]: scan/sane/http.c 189: timeout reading data sec_timeout=1
What could that be? I've google a lot, but still can't figure out what's the problem

  • Problem with HP DeskJet 845c in 10.4 Tiger

Recently I migrated an iBook G3 from Mac OS 9 to MacOS X (Tiger 10.4.10). And we also use a new MacBook.
But there's a big problem with the *HP DeskJet 845c* Printer:
    - printing works with Word, but *doesn't with AppleWorks or Mail (2.1.1)*
    - I have the latest Updates and looked for the latest HP DeskJet software, but this is the newest, version 3.3
    - I spoke with HP support, but they said that this is a problem in OS X
    - until now in MacOS 9 the printer worked fine
    The problem is:
    - from Mail only the header will be printed, but not the message itself
    - from AppleWorks is ssems as if only the first "pixel-rows are printed from each line
    Any help?

Hello, Same problem with HP Deskjet 895Cse. I had printer on my G4 tower running 10.3. My macbook pro was networked through the G4 to printer, all good. I just moved my printer and plugged in directly to macboook pro USB port................ Iregular printing. With normal size fonts, 12, just the top few pixels of each sentence gets printed. With larger fonts like 36 or 48, the print is pretty interesting, but not readable. Sometmes it just spits out pages with 1 sentence, top bit only, on each page. Appleworks, word & pdf's from preview, all print the same. HP alignment, HP test , HP clean all show normal. ?????????????????????

  • Right, MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(Built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G not working, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III.

My MacBook Pro 17" early 2011(built March) and my new OCZ sata III 6G are not working together, when is Apple going to admit there is a problem with the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. In System Information it says "Link Speed: 6 Gigabit" which is sata III and in my MacBook Pro it does not work.
Now MacBook Pro 17" early 2011 built May onward do not have this problem it was fixed in the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. (So there is a problem). Cam I have my MacBook Pro fixed please.

After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.
