Problem with Huawei E180 USB Mobile Modem
I have a little problem with my Huawei E180, that is causing only some inconvenience. If the modem is plugged in before turning on the power to the iMac, the Leopard doesn't boot up at all, just a blank white screen appears. After unplugging the modem and rebooting, there is no problems. There are no other problems with connections or anything, just this.
This is only annoying, but I would like to know if there is some way to solve this problem. Or is this just a thing to live with? I couldn't find anything about this kind of problems with Google, or from Huawei's support forum or anywhere else.
EDIT: I've been using Mac only for a month or so, so please be specific with answers.
Message was edited by: RedKroovy
Originally the Huawei is a Windows 2000 and Windows XP ONLY device, if you use Vodafone or Nova Media, they have their own custom made software which makes it mac compatible...
The Huawei E180 does not use OEM drivers, at least ones that would be included with Leopard hence it does not recognize the USB dongle at boot up. Plus remember that when Leopard finds a network it will want to connect and configure everything out first before booting. In the case of GSM / 3G modem you may have to enter your username & password and save it in the "keychain", etc...
The modems natively supported by Leopard are found here:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1122
You will have to leave the Huawei E180 unplugged until you boot up into Leopard and then plug it in. Then Leopard will recognize and find the correct driver for it.

Upload data problem with HUAWEI E173 t mobile broadband and Mountain Lion
I upgraded to Mountain Lion and updated my T Mobile Broadband software. It successfully connects to the internet.
But within minutes I had exceeded my fair usage policy having browsed five websites!
In T-mobile Internet Manager the Statistics shows huge amounts of data being uploaded ?in the background by OS X.
It is not syncing devices in iCloud. I have no other programs open.
It's uploaded 188MB in 30 mins. I have no idea what this data is or how to rectify this. Help, please?!Until you can install updated 64 bit software or get hold of a 64 bit T Stick..
Boot your mac into 32 bit mode by holding down the 3 and 2 keys which should work OK.
Lion is 64 bit.. -

Problems with Syncing to Lightroom Mobile
I have the following problem with syncing to Lightroom Mobile:
In Lightroom desktop it seems that the collections will be uploaded correctly (number of images is counting down to zero). Changes will also be uploaded.
In the web interface I see the collections somtetimes and sometimes not. I can make them appear if I chose the "make collection public" in Lightrrom desktop.
In the iOS App there is absolutely nothing happening: "There are no collections"
I have the recent versions of all applications and OSs. I have deleted and reinstalled the iOS App.
Thanks in advance for your help!

ZippoHi,
we should have fixed this on our side now, please try to sync again and let us know if it helped.

Question about USB mobile modem
I have Toshiba Equium with Vista Home Premium. I connect to the internet using a huawie mobile modem. It comes pre installed with it drivers you just plug in and it installs its own software.
I have noticed it will only work on the USB port where I originally installed from and not the other. I have uninstalled the software and tried installing from the other port and this works so its not the USB ports.
Any ideas?this is because each of the usb ports have thier own drive letter e.g. on my pc they vary from e,f,g,h,i,j depending on how many are connected and if there is a hub or whatever
when the software was installed the directions to reach the usb modem were go to drive e.g. [J]
when you plug it into another port the eltter changes as it is in a different place so when your software tries to find it, it will look in the specified place and it will see nothing is plugged therefore will think that no modem is connected at all.
understand?
hope it helps

Problem with the ports USB.
When I connect a device USB to my motherboard K8T NEO FIS2R the system it can only hung independently of the device usb that connects (camera web, Modem ADSL, reader of cards flash). Besides when I ignite the machine with a device USB connected to the port the image of the bios me appears distorted and with strange characters.
Since I can solve the problem? It is a problem of my motherboard?
Regards.
Note: I changed the bios to the last version and the problem continues happening.Hi
If you mean that the bios post screen is not showing the post info, but a mash of scrambled characters.
1. Check the Bios settings, use safe default, and Fast instead of turbo. are USB features enabled, are you using the correct ammount of ports setting.
2 What USB drivers are you using, the windows ones, or the via ones on companion CD.
3. What specs is your system, could be PSU or Ram problem.
the +3.3v , +5v , +12v amps from PSU label

My hp officejet 100 mobile printer was working fine with my dell XPS 15 in bluetooth wirelessly until my laptop crashed. Now I can not get it to print internet info except with hard wire connection. Page loads half way and then stops. Must shut down laptop and shut off printer or hard wire and shut off bluetooth. down loaded lastest drivers to no avail. printer will print from cell phone and win 8 computer via bluetooth but not win 7 laptop.
Sorry you are having problems with printing from the internet. I have a few more questions to ask you before I can be of much assistance.
What web-browser are you using?
Do you have any problems printing from Word or other non-internet documents?
What did you do to fix your computer (system restore, clean install of the OS, etc)?
Have you tried an alternate web-browser?
Make sure to install all of your Microsoft updates to see if that helps. Otherwise, answer those questions for me please and I will be happy to help.

As a long shot you could try uninstalling all USB hubs in Device Manager, re-install the Chipset Drivers and restart the sytem to allow the USB hubs automatically installed again. I doubt this will help, but it's all I could think of.

Problem with Request for Permissions (mobile app)
In my application I want to publish the results of the games on facebook. I used this tutorial: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/facebook/articles/flex_fbgraph_pt1.html
Here is a fragment of my source code:
<fx:Script>
<![CDATA[
import com.facebook.graph.FacebookMobile;
import mx.events.Request;
import valueObjects.GlobalVariables;
protected var extendedPermissions:Array = ["publish_stream","user_website","user_status","user_about_me"];
protected function initApp():void
FacebookMobile.init("app ID",loginHandler);
protected function loginHandler(success:Object,fail:Object):void
if(success){
currentState="loggedin";
nameLbl.text=success.user.name;
userImg.source=FacebookMobile.getImageUrl(success.uid,"small");
birthdayLbl.text=success.user.birthday;
FacebookMobile.api("/me/statuses",getStatusHandler);
else{
this.login();
protected function login():void
FacebookMobile.login(loginHandler, stage, []);
protected function logout():void
FacebookMobile.logout();
currentState="loggedout";
protected function getStatusHandler(result:Object, fail:Object):void
statusLbl.text=result[0].message;
protected function submitPost():void
FacebookMobile.api("/me/feed",submitPostHandler,{message:GlobalVariables.d.toString()}, "POST");
protected function submitPostHandler(result:Object,fail:Object):void
FacebookMobile.api("/me/statuses",getStatusHandler);
]]>
</fx:Script>
I have problem with permissions. After login I see a white screen instead of request for permission. The desktop application does not have a problem with it. When I log for the first time to the desktop application and I will give the permissions applications, then in the mobile application everything works fine. But this is not a good solution. And so please help.The labelField of IconItemRenderer only supports single line text. Try using the messageField instead:
<s:List width="200" height="200">
<s:dataProvider>
<s:ArrayList>
<s:DataItem desc="1 Hello World Hello World Hello World" />
<s:DataItem desc="2 Hello World Hello World Hello World" />
<s:DataItem desc="3 Hello World Hello World Hello World" />
</s:ArrayList>
</s:dataProvider>
<s:itemRenderer>
<fx:Component>
<s:IconItemRenderer labelField="" messageField="desc">
</s:IconItemRenderer>
</fx:Component>
</s:itemRenderer>
</s:List>
If you need more control you might need to subclass, this post might help: http://flexponential.com/2011/08/21/adding-multiline-text-support-to-labelitemrenderer/ -
Problems with my computer (USB 3.0 and LAN)
Hi there,
A few months ago i have built my own computer. I selected the parts and asked if it will work together with no problems.
After I built it and installed Windows 8.1 I detected that almost everything worked. Only the USB 3.0 did not work properly but I had no big worries because it was no big issue for me.
Today I decided to use a LAN connection (cable) instead of using a WIFI adapter. I found that the computer didn't detect the cable. First I thought that there was no signal trough the cable so I checked it. I put the cable in my Playstation 3 and did a Internet test. Everything worked. So I found it strange that the cable didn't worked in the computer (same cable as playstation). I searched the internet if I had installed the correct drivers. After looking in Device manager I found that there was no Internet adapter connected (I disconnected my WIFI adapter). Up to now I didn't resolved the problem but I tried a lot of things.
For the USB 3.0, I found that there is an unkown device (device manager) and when I let it search for the proper driver it says that it don't have enough information.
The name for the device is: USB xHCI-compatible hostcontroller (translated from Dutch). In the BIOS it detects which component I connect to the USB 3.0 Slot but when I am in windows (8.1), It says nothing (not even a sound that it's connected). So I think it is something with the drivers or chipset??
Parts of my computer:
Intel I5 4670K (Haswell) (Socket 1150)
MSI GTX 770
2x Ballistix 4GB RAM memory
Samsung EVO 120GB SSD
Seagate 1TB HDD
MSI B85M-G43
Case is an Fractal Design R4 windowed black
My questions
- How do I install the Networkcard properly
- How do I install the USB 3.0 Properly
I would appreciate it if you could solve the problems for me!
Already thanks!
JurCan you share the screen shot of the device manager?
According to B85M-G43, it is equipped with 4 x USB 3.0 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 2 ports available through the Intel USB connectors)
No need to install USB 3.0 driver in WIN8.1 just in-box is okay.
Did you tried the LAN driver from the website?

UntrustedNetworkPThere seem to be much more problems with 3.1.04049
Especially with certificate authentication.
I opened some TAC cases.
Try 3.1.04063 that came out at 07-24-13.
TAC said that there are some fixes in it... -
Help please!
My internet connection with my old Westell 6100 modem was working fine, then quit all of the sudden and would not restart. The DSL and Data lights on the Westell modem were both green. The Internet light alternated between red and off.
I tried every troubleshooting thing I could think of:
Powering down and re-starting the modem and computer.
Resetting the modem.
Checking all of the wire and jack connections.
I plugged my computer ethernet cable straight into the modem, bypassing my router.
I tried both Windows and Mac computers.
I plugged the modem directly into the network interface on the outside of my house to bypass all of my house wiring.
I checked all my phone jacks with a telephone tester to make sure both phone lines were working and not reverse-wired.
I made sure I did not have a DSL filter installed on the modem line.
Verizon Tech Support did a line test and told me the line was fine but that there might be a problem with either my modem or something at the "central office" (not sure what that means). Verizon also sent me a new router as well -- a D-Link DSL-2750B.
The new D-Link router also does not connect to the internet (same problem). The DSL, Data, and Internet lights are all green on the D-Link. I have the computer directly connected to the modem with a new ethernet cable. I repeated the above troubleshooting steps. I went into the router configuration 192.168.1.1 and ran the modem's "Internet Troubleshooting" tests.
There were two error messages on the router configuration screens:
1."PPPoE Server not found" error message is shown on the summary screen.
2."No internet infrastructure present. Please call your infrastructure provider." is shown in the "internet troubleshooting" test results.
Verizon had me change some settings inside the router configuration -- no dice. Verizon ran another line test. A "Level 2 Tech" took over the call and told me that he thinks that the cause of the problem is that the outside wiring coming to my house is reverse-wired. How can this be true since my DSL worked for 2 years before this, my phone line tester indicates my phone lines are wired the right way, and my router reports "PPPoE Server Not Found?"
Verizon is sending out a repair tech to check the outside wiring but I don't think that is the problem at all.
HELP!
Solved!
Go to Solution.If you're getting DSL sync (solid DSL light), this sounds like a case of a bad line card to me. I've seen it happen before where it wasn't an account or route issue to the network.
