Problem with images and text displaying correctly

I don't really know how to explain this problem and I had two screenshots ready to upload to show the before and after but we apparently can't upload photos now...SOOOO I will try my best.
The issue began when I got a new computer at work (Windows 7 instead the Windows XP everyone else has) and was/is present for me in InDesign CS2 and since we were planning on updating to CS5, I figured that having an updated version would fix whatever issue it was. That was a wrong assumption unfortunately.
When I open any document, all images and text are displayed properly until I scroll up/down or side-to-side and NOT using the scroll wheel for up/down. This is probably so confusing and I'm sorry I can't describe it better...the mouse I use has two programmable buttons that I set to coast up and down and to go side-to-side I can push the scroll wheel to one side or the other and it coasts that direction. When I do either of those things, the text looks like it is permanently greeked and the images look....weird lol like they are in 16 bit or something like that. To fix the problem in CS2, I have to click and hold on a text block until I am able to adjust text so that I can see it adjust in real-time. In CS5, I have to do the same basic thing except I don't have to click and hold as it does that by default (awesome feature btw!!)
I have already updated my graphics card driver (Nvidia 9400 GT 1GB) and my processor driver (Intel Core2Duo 3.0ghz) and I have 4GB of RAM. I tried updating both CS2 and CS5 but both are updated already. I've also tried doing the whole inx. export and cleaning the preferences file or whatever that is called. Nada. Problems with Turkish characters not displaying correctly

A user is having problems with certain Turkish characters in particular fonts not displaying correctly (as shown below).
The two fonts (Gill Sans and Helvetica LT CondensedLight) are used for English language marketing material. Ideally, for continuity, the same font would be preferred for our Turkish language marketing material rather than changing it to a similar font.
Helvetica LT CondensedLight
Turkish character “ İ ” does not display correctly in either Word or InDesign.
Gill Sans
Turkish characters “ ş ” and “ ğ ” display correctly in Word but not InDesign.
My questions are:
1. For Gill Sans, why are the characters not displaying in InDesign but are in Word?
2. I've noticed here: http://www.webtype.com/font/gill-sans-family/#glyphs-tab that the required characters are available within the Gill Sans font. Is this because the font is newer and includes the additional characters? Would this work in InDesign?

One of the big differences between InDesign and Word is that Word will happily substitute glyphs without telling you. So, unless your installs of Word and of InDesign are using different versions of Gill Sans (which is possible, BTW) then your s-with-cedilla and your g-with-macron are actually not in Gill Sans but in some other font. I'm guessing Arial.
It's possible that you have more than one Gill Sans installed (e.g. one in your Document Fonts folder and another in your system fonts folder) that have different glyph complements. Gill Sans has been around a long time, and the version I have from the 90s has no Turkish support whatsoever.
As far as the capital-I-with-dot, you can check your glyph coverage in a variety of ways. In both InDesign and Word, you can open up a window that shows you all of the glyphs in a font. In InDesign, find it in Type -> Glyphs. In Word, it's called "Insert Symbol" and you can find it in Word 2010 by going to Insert -> Symbol -> More Symbols. I am guessing that the answer to this question is simply that your cut of Helvetica LT has no cap-I-with-dot. You'd need to pick a font that actually has support for Turkish. On WIndows, I use a very full-featured freebie called BabelMap to check font coverage. They have a Web version here:

IPhone 3GS multiple problems with calls and text

I have AT&T for service provider and I am having these problems with the THIRD Iphone 3Gs that I have received since Jan 12.
I turned off 3GS again after newest update, not sure if it willl help or not.
Also, I have the same problems with this phone as previous 2 Iphones I got at Apple Stores:
* sporadically drops calls - even if I don't move from the spot I originally called from. This is my only phone, so I need to make and receive any calls to this phone.
*"Searching", "No Service", so text messages don't get sent, but I don't know that unless I check back to see the red ! and I keep trying to resend...
* No SIM card - but, only know this if I check, not good when busy and waiting for a call or text.
Do I need to go to an Apple store again (not nearby me) to replace it before my replacement warranty runs out?

Try powering the phone off, then removing and replacing the battery, and powering the phone back on.
Then try dialing *228 send and option 2 on the phone to update the PRL.
Then try closing down applications that you are not using on the device.
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).

Touch Running services.
Touch a service you are not using then.
Touch Stop.

OS X 10.8 Problems with images and layout when printing to PDF from any web browser

Hi there, I just bought a new macbook air and running OS X 10.8. This problem happens in both Safari or Chrome: When I go to print to a PDF file, the website suddenly drops most images and formatting, ending up in a very old-fashioned layout. Is this something new with OS X 10.8, or any other suggestions as to what I can do?

Problems with image and audio in Premiere

Hi! I'm using Premiere Elements 9, but there's no synchronization with imagen and audio because the image is slower than audio and it's causing problems when I'm editing. Why can I do? It's there a poblem that can I fix in "Preferences" or is my laptop?

Problems with IE and text item

Hi,
I have a problem with IE (v6.0) when I add an text item to a region. IE puts 2 records with the same content into the DB (table wwv_text), Mozilla only 1.
The Problem is, if I change the text of the item with IE, Mozilla, doesn't show the changes made, due to the fact, IE only changes one of the two records and Mozilla reads exactly the other one.
But if I add a text item with Mozilla, only one record is stored in the DB.
Is this a portal or IE bug?
PS: I have disabled version control on the entire page group.

is it possible that you add an item in a different language if you are using internet explorer. in this case 2 records are created. one for the base language and one for the translation. this also explains that you do not see the edited version of the item in the other browser - in case you are using a different language.

Problem with T400 and External Display....

I have a new T400 (less than 1 month old) with the shared memory Intel Graphics setup and I cannot get it to work with an external display of any kind.
I've tried 2 LCD panels (one widescreen, and one 4:3), 2 analog monitors, and a video projector without any luck. All of the displays I have tried work fine with my older Lenovo R61.
I've updated to the newest display drivers and tried working with the various settings under Graphics properties in Vista - Single Display (notebook, monitor), Intel Dual Display, Extended Desktop, etc. The best I got was a cloned image on the larger widescreen LCD panel that appeared for about 1 minute and then stopped. I recreated this 4 or 5 times, but the image would not stay on the external display.
Any ideas?

hi all .... i m devloping one project in that i a creating one image based on data that comes from database and i want to show that image on jsp .....it is work perfectly in "IE browser" but when the same code i run on blackberry simulator.....it doesnt display that image on it......i dont know wht heppend in that one ....

What kind of image is it? SVG? If so, does it validate?
Do you get any error messages in the console from a crash of your code? Or does it simply continue without the image showing up?

Problems with signatures and text tools

When I open forms none of the 'fill and sign' 'comment' tools are available (all grayed out). Others in my office use these forms so it is particular to my software / machine. Any thoughts why these features are turned off / broken. I have completely removed adobe and re installed but it seemed to make little differences. This used to work before my Adobe Pro license expired. Suggestions?

I wonder where you removed Adobe from, stock exchange? Adobe is a company. It produces many products. Which product do you use: Acrobat/Reader? Which version (including minor)? Which platform/OS? When you say "This used to work before my Adobe Pro license expired" do you mean that you installed a trial version and it expired and now you purchased a license (product key)?
When you say "When I open forms none of the 'fill and sign' 'comment' tools are available (all grayed out)" are you opening the same PDFs that you successfully tries before or new PDFs?
If those are new PDFs one reason for this behavior could be that your forms have (visible or invisible) digital signatures. For instance, they have an invisible digital signature if they are Reader-enabled.

The problem I am having is this: The phone and message portion of my palm stopped working. I called my provider and they told me I needed a new sim card. I got a new one and put it in and still experienced the problem. It was a complete stoppage. I could call one out of 10 tries and a message or two came through but late. I then called Palm and they walked me through a hard reset and the phone started working, ...but only for the evening. Now again it is at the same place. I have hard reset it several times and occasionally it will work once or twice after that. ....

Appending data(Image and Text) to a file written with RTFWriter2.

I have file witten using RTFWriter2 which contains image and text.I nedd to modify the contents of that file at runtime through browsing and selecting the JFileChooser and append the data to existing selected file.
I write inot the file for the first time using FileOutputStream("filename",ture)
where true stands for appending data to current file,if does noes have any/not.
But this does not work when i write the file using RTFWriter2,and i have to use this RTFWriter2 b'coz writing an image to a file is not done by any other way.
If there is any do let me know and if not then what is the solution to this problem of appending data to existing file written by RTFWriter2.

Experiencing problem with image display in LR5

I have an intermittent problem with images displaying and exporting in LR. It just began a couple of months ago and is totally random - will do it with RAW (CR2) or JPG. It displays this way in all modules - Library, Develop, Slideshow....The image displays fine in a non-Adobe image viewer (Faststone or Windows Viewer). I've reloaded LR5 and PSCC and is still persists. I know the image file is fine. It also has begun effecting older images that were showing up just fine a while ago. I just loaded about 200 images and maybe 3 or so have this viewing problem in LR & PS. Has anyone else experienced it and have a suggested fix? My graphics card has the latest drivers and shows no problems with other applications. Here is the same image - one a jpg export from Lighroom, the other a save as jpg from Faststone. HELP!

This is almost always a hardware problem, causing corruption of the file. The difference you see between Lightroom and other software is that Lightroom is accessing the full RAW image, while the other software is trying to read the embedded JPG preview.
To figure out exactly what hardware is the problem, you need to try different transmission paths and hardware ... different camera cards, different card readers or USB cables/USB ports, different hard disks, etc. Eventually you should be able to isolate the problem.
