Problem with: In-app purchases

I have redeemed a 20$ iTunes gift card onto my apple account and it shows that my balance is 20.80$. However, when I try to make an in-app purchase it says i have insufficient credit.

How much is the IAP that you are trying to buy, and have you added on any applicable taxes to the listed price e.g. your state's sales tax if you are in the US ?

    Charin, the charges in question are for in-app purchases. An in-app purchase is a purchase that can be made within an Application on an iPhone or an iPod Touch.
    In-App purchases are items you can buy that will assist you in advancing in the game you're playing. Some examples of In App Purchases are: bonus game levels or maps, additional experience points, subscriptions, and recurring services.
    The Application "Diamond Dash" was free, and this is the Application that was used to purchase the in-app items. The in-app purchases were for "1000 Gold" to be used when playing "Diamond Dash."
    Please note that there is a 15 minute window after initially entering in your password, where the password is not requested again. Once this time has passed, you will be requested for your password, and also to confirm the purchase by tapping the Buy button.
    To prevent any further in-app purchases from being made unintentionally, please set the in-app restriction on your device(s) as soon as possible. You can set the in-app restriction on an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad by following these steps;
    1) Click on the "Settings" Application
    2) Now from the list of options click on "General"
    3) Scroll down and click on "Restrictions"
    4) Under the heading "Allowed Content" be sure that "In-App Purchases" is "OFF."
    After reviewing the circumstances of your case, we determined that issuing you a refund for your unintentional purchase of "1000 Gold" is an appropriate exception to the App Store Terms and Conditions, which state that all sales are final. In five to seven business days, a credit of $99.99 should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt for that purchase.
    The iTunes Store provides a warning message that asks if you are sure that you want to buy an item. This warning can be turned off. If you would like to make sure that this warning is on, you can reset the warnings in the iTunes Store by following the instructions in this article:

    Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here, we won't know what the problem is.
    What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

    Help!  I purchased two different apps for iPad but all I have is the "free" version.  I believe both were in app purchases.  The "report a problem" link in the purchase e-mail fails with a "can't open iTunes" error.  Has anyone else experienced this?

    Are you trying the 'report a problem' from your iPad or computer ? If your iPad then try your computer instead, or try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history on your computer : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours). This page, whilst not about how to report a problem, shows how to view your purchase history, and includes a screenshot which has the 'report a problem' button on.
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    Is anyone experiencing any problem with products localizedTitle using in-App purchase? Til yesterday it worked, now it's always null...I guess why

    When the alertView asks the user if they want to purchase it always says, "Do you want to purchase Unknown App for $0.99" etc.
    The "productIdentifier" and "priceLocale" have correct values, but NOT the "localizedTitle"..
    I am using the iOS5 SDK, NOT iOS6.

    i'm having a problem with an in-app purchase I made a few days ago. When I first try to buy something, it just doesn't work. So I bought it a second time, and it worked. But my credit card have been charged twice. When I check the iTunes receipt, there's this option "report a problem". When I click on it, it send me to the iTunes support pages, when they say "go to your iTunes account" to signal the problem. And when I go to my iTunes account to signal the problem, it send me back to the iTunes support pages... hoora !
    So... if anyone know how I can get out of this stupid loop... trying to contact a customer service with no success... hate that...

    I made a purchase which said it had failed. Did it again and now have been charged twice but the 'report a problem' link on the receipt does not work
    It takes me to iTunes and says 'cannot connect to iTunes'
    Very annoying. How do we remedy this?

    You should be able to contact Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
    If that isn't working then have you tried clearing your browser's cache/history and closing/re-opening the browser, and/or tried a different browser ?

  • Problems with in app purchasing

    The only way I can do any in app purchases is if I am either updating other apps or downloading new apps at the same time! As soon as the downloading/updating finishes it is like the connection is blocked or something! I will get various "cannot connect to the iTunes store" messages or just blank spaces where prices should be depending on the game I am trying to buy stuff on. However, everything works fine on every game as long as I am downloading something else at the same time! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Apple support people checked my account and couldn't find anything wrong. It's really annoying!

    Apps are always and forever associated with the Apple ID that bought them because that is the Apple ID to which the copy is licensed. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. So only the Apple ID that bought the content can update, redownload and authorize the content for use on a Mac, PC are iOS device. And in this case is also the only Apple ID that can make an in-app purchase.
    If you can't recover the Apple ID telephone Apple Care for your country and ask for the Account Security Team, then request help resetting the password.

    If the purchase isn't going through then what happens, are you getting an error message ?
    If the app has downloaded but doesn't work on your device then have you tried deleting and redownloading it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app on it ? If that hasn't fixed it then have you contacted the developer ?
