Problem with Info Spoke

Dear Spoke,
We newly upgraded our BI system to 7.0, Now when i try to transfer data to a File using an existing infospoke, iThe request runs for a long time and get fails, in the monitoring also there is no details.
the Request runs for 3 hrs and fails, Can any one please suggest me what to do? this problem is coming only after upgrading, Should i check any thing with support pack.
Please provide me some solution...like general steps to handle these types of errors.

Hi Srinivas,
If the rest of the info spokes are working fine and if you have only this as the issue, may be as a least alternative you can activate it again and transport.
Do you have any selections based on this IO in the info spoke or do you have any Badi logic?
IF still Problem arises ,then look towards the support packages.

i am facing a problem with the info package where, instead of date 'from and to' values if i am providing a Variable, info package is not loading data and the request status flag is in yellow for a long time though the no of records are less.
the same is working fine if i am providing values for from to to values in the 'data selection' Tab.
the field i am giving input is date field,i'm converting date into char format and giving the input in the same format.info package will not work if i provide '0' or '7' as the variable values.

Problem with info Object relocating to another dimension.

Hi Experts,
I created a cube Sales with dimension Customer and Organization. By mistake I assigned an info object to customer. Now, I have to relocate it to Organization. The cube is with data. The info Object does not contain any data. How to relocate it to Organization?

Hi,
You need to delete the data in the cube in order to reassign the object to the new dimension. Once you delete the data only then would you be able to reassign the object to the required dimension.

Problem with info typed into third party apps

I could use some help here. Downloaded Tap Note for Touchpad. All lists entered into the app have disappeared. Assumed it was with that particular app. Downloaded Shop Easy Lists....same thing! Everything I entered has disappeared. Takes a day or two to happen.
Can someone please tell me what's going on. I am getting tired of re-typing all this info all the time.

Restarting LSM killed a cache of database associations, and when the app was deleted, it thought there were no more database-using apps so it got rid of the Databases.db file.
As Steve said, we've got a fix that we're testing now. It will be in the OTA, but for now, to avoid the issue, don't delete any apps. I think app update is safe, since that doesn't trigger the "delete database" logic.

Urgent - Problem with info object

Hi All,
I have info object ZH_SONR (not master datatable), I changed the length of the info object from 12 to 10 in the development system. This info object is used in the general remote info cube.
Now my issue is I moved the change from development to acceptance. I moved the info object without deleting the msater data in the development system. due to this transport request failed to move to acceptance sys and also the inof obnject is inactive in the acceptance sys. (How activate info oject directly acceptance syst)
Can anybody suggest me.how to solve this issue. Pleae it very very urgent for me

Hi,
Just to correct you there is no need to move the dependencies of the infoobject esp the cube if they are already present in the acceptance system.
Check the exact error using the log in the transport and you will come to know the error for the transport.There can be other errrors also might be number range interval missing or so. So please check the log in se10 or se09 and see what is the error u are getting for the transport Deleting data in the dev system will not hamper i feel you need to take care of the data in the acceptance system .
Please rethink concern and then proceed.

Weird intermittent problems with itunes

I had problems with info getting greyed out when looking at music library. One data field was greyed out and this occurred intermittently throughout the library.
So the only way I could fix it was to edit the data entry, add a space at the end of it and press enter. Then go back and re-edit it and remove the space.
I also had problems trying to edit data in the data fields. The data field kept getting reset to what was in there after editing and erasing the info in the data field. This happened for about half an hour. Each edit was undone.
Is this just a problem with version 7.2? Seems that a lot of weird problems occured after upgrading to that version. Now that a newer version has come out, I hope the issues will be gone.

I also had strange problems with Itunes saying I did not have access or something to convert some files to other formats. I checked the library folder and the files and had the proper priviledges to access the files. However, Itunes refused to let me convert the files so I had to run quicktime which converted the files without a hitch.

Info-Spoke Capability

I have a business requirement where i need to do a full data download from a cube during overnight run and deltas during intra-day run. Also based on certain business rule / master data changes sometimes i want a full data download.
That means the file that i am going to download from the cube is going to be either delta or full and it should be dynamic in terms of if there was any master data / business rules changes happened i need a full data download. I have already implemented this using ABAP and different tables and utilising the request based delta. But just wondering whether we can do it with info-spokes as info-spokes are SAP standards and handles the delta and has got a better monitor capability.
As per my understanding i think we can't.
Any brilliant ideas ????

Hi Gopi,
You are absolutely right. Info-spoke extraction is based on request Ids. If you go to the "delta management" in info-spoke you can see there itself. I think i have not put the question the way i wanted to and seems to be a confusion.

Lets say you have two info-spokes, one with full update and the other one with delta. Full one have updated request 1-10. Then Can your delta one directly update request 11. Becasue both are separate and in the delta info-spoke Request 1-11 will apear for update as there was no prior update from this info-spoke.

Problems with GPS Info QT: new update v1.25 (cancelled by Nokia recently) has a gap with the coordinates in longitude because the error is 1 degree 56 minutes more or less (big problem). But it is an excellent applications: when can we obtain it again?
Problems with IM for Nokia: it has been impossible to install the updade of this application. I have installed it several times and uninstall again, but I always see the word "error".
What happens with the Ovi Maps? before I could see the satellite maps in old version (like a google earth) but when Nokia updated to version 00.02.43.117 I cannot see it. (Maybe it had errors with the Nokia Maps.

It was working fine - I was using LR and a message came on the screen that said something like the memory was dangerously low. I stopped and tried to delete LR files. I couldn't do it. I closed the program and tried reopening and got the message that there is not enough memory available to open LR. I contacted Apple. They spent a half hour on the phone with me and eventually told me they didn't know how to help. The tech said that LR had gobbled up all the memory and said I should contact Adobe and ask where and how my photo files are stored and to delete them. I have several back-ups. Thanks - Arthur

This sort of error message only comes up for Lightroom when your hard disk is full. Indeed this has nothing to do with internal memory as that will be intelligently be dealt with. If you have a mac Book Air that is not so surprising as the cheapest versions come with very small hard disks and if you shoot raw with any recent camera, you'll fill up your hard disk very quickly and you can probably only store a few months of pictures if you are a typical photographer. So the bottom line is that you need to create some room on your hard disk. You should move some of your originals to an external hard disk. You can also delete some of your backup copies of your catalog file that Lightroom automatically generates every few days and that quickly gobble up hard disk space. So first figure out how full your hard disk is. To see that, go to the apple menu, hit -> About this Mac -> More info->Storage. You should see your internal hard disk on top and you'll find that it is almost entirely full with photos. Now find your Lightroom catalog file using Finder. It is usually in a folder in the Pictures folder in your home directory. You should see a Lightroom 5 Catalog.lrcat file, a previews file and a folder called backups. Inside the backups folder, you'll find a lot of subfolders. They have names that show the dates the backups were created. If you have backups of your entire hard disk, you can delete these backups when they are older than a few months. I usually only keep the last 4 around. Just drag the folders into the trash can on the dock on the bottom of your screen and empty the trash. This will probably free up enough space that Lightroom will already run again. Now start thinking about where you will want to store older images. If you have a good USB3 or Thunderbolt hard disk that is probably the best option. Here’s How to Move Images to Another Drive in Lightroom. « Julieanne Kost's Blog If that doesn't work because you don't have enough hard drive space to run Lightroom yet, here is another set of instructions to move your files using the finder to the other hard disk: How do I move only my photos to another hard drive, leaving the catalog where it is? - The Lightroom Queen. If you follow that, as soon as you confirm all your images are on the new hard disk, you can delete them from your internal one. She is not so clear about that part but if you don't delete the originals that you moved off you don't free up space. You should move the folder structure over to the new hard disk and then reconnect the folders in Lightroom. That should make it refind all your images.
That said, if you are uncomfortable with the computer in itself, your best bet is to find a local photography club. There is invariably a Lightroom savvy person in there that could help you move your files. That might be your best bet if you are uncomfortable moving these yourself. A general mac savvy person like you would find at an Apple store or so generally will not be able to help you with this except when they are photographers themselves and know Lightroom. You might get lucky with that.

Is the replacement exactly the same as the original ie same memory size & same version? If so it may require updating the OS software before trying to restore your stuff from the backup.

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

I fixed the To: autofilling incorrectly by deleting my email address from the Previous Recipients List, but is there a way to stop that from coming up on emails that I receive?

Have you checked your Mac address book? If your email is saved somewhere in your address book with the name "Holidays in the United States" it might be adding the name automatically in Mac Mail.
Alternatively, try this:
Delete an Email Address from Auto-Complete in Mac OS X Mail
To remove an email address from the auto-complete list in Mac OS X Mail:
Start typing the recipient's address or name in a new message.
Select the desired address from the auto-complete list as if you'd compose an email to them.
Click the small down arrow in the recipient.
Select Remove from Previous Recipients List from the menu.
You can also search for the unwanted address directly in the previous recipients list:
Select Window | Previous Recipients from the menu in Mac OS X Mail.

Problems with Custom File Info Panel and Dublin Core

I'm creating a custom file info panel that uses the values of the dublin core description and keywords (subject) for two of it's own fields. I'm having problems with the panel saving if they enter the description on the custom panel first, and with the keywords not echoing each other, or reappearing after a save. To answer my own question:
The documentation really sucks.

usually we recommend to install custom panels into the "user" location at:
WINDOWS XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\XMP\Custom File Info Panels\2.0\panels\
WINDOWS VISTA: C\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\XMP\Custom File Info Panels\2.0\panels\
MAC OS: /user/username/Application Data/Adobe/XMP/Custom File Info Panels/2.0/panels/
The reason why your panels did not work properly was a missing Flash trust file for that user location. Without such a trust file the embedded flash player refuses to "play" your custom panel.
Please see section "Trust files for custom panels" in the XMPFileInfo SDK Programmer's Guide on page 50 for all details on how to create such trust files.
After many wasted hours I have now the simple panels running.
