Problem with infoarea transport

Hi,
One cube and an ods were removed from an infoarea and assigned to a new infoarea in dev system.
1. While collecting the infoarea in transport, is it mandatory to collect the cube and ods, their update rules etc?We have not made any changes to these objects.These objects have got millions of records and I really dont want to create problems in production by transporting the cube and ods, update rules again.
2. Is there any way where we can send only the infoarea and just the NAMES of the cube and ods so that they get linked to the infoarea in production.

Hi,
Nothing goes wrong with data ,if we transport the Cubes and ODS into production one more imte.
Any way , you can take Info area in to tranport connector tool, and then remove tick mark for all data targets under that infoarea,if system makes any tick mark .But donot forget to make a tick mark for Infoarea,if system does not collect it.

we copied old dev to new QA, upgraded new QA, then copied new QA to new DEV.
did the SPAU adjustments in DEV. At that time DEV SAP_BW version was SAPKW70015. After that we applied SAPKW70016. Now we're having problems with the SPAU transport because of the application of SAPKW70016.

Problem with file transport

Hi ,
I am transporting some of my XI 3.0 objects from XIQA to XIPROD.
When I am importing the objects in XIP I am getting numbers of problem.
1- Scenarios SOAP to RFC . when I am activating the objects it saying
Communication Channel | PRD_400 | RFC_QA3_Receiver:
Enter a value for attribute 'Application Server'
Enter a value for attribute 'System Number'
Enter a value for attribute 'Logon User'
Enter a value for attribute 'Logon Password'
Enter a value for attribute 'Logon Language'
Enter a value for attribute 'Logon Client'
Do I need to Give these values manually again as they are moved from Env to other?
2- Why my Receiver communiation channel coimg as
Communication Channel | PRD_400 | RFC_QA3_Receiver:
As this PROD env it should come PR3 in place of QA3.
I have also transport other interfaces in PROD but in that there was no such problem with Communication channel Name.

When we transport ID objects, the values stored in the channel get lost and have to be manually enetered......it happens even for DEV --> QA environment.
Now your channel should reflect PROD-related data.

The channel name does not depend on the environment it is present....verify the name once again!

Problems with query transport (missing object)

Hello,
I've a problem while transporting a query with the transport connection. I choose the option "necessary objects" but the import in the productive system fails due to a missing object.
How can I find the missing object? In the transport log only the ID is given (e.g. " Element 67ZP0WYO09DFA52PLG2SREVBT is missing in version M")

Hi Markus,
Check data base tables RSZELTXREF & RSZELTTXT for the missing element in the transport.
Try to include all the missing elements of a Query in a new transport and try again.

Problem with WAD transports

Hi there
We have a problem with transporting templates created in the WAD.
The transport goes through succesfully, but when I run the template(s) in PROD, the changes are not reflected.
If I open the template in the WAD in PROD, then I can see that the changed template is indeed in PROD, but executing it in the portal shows the old template.
We are seeing this problem now with templates, but noticed it about a week ago with reusable library items that weren't updating correctly in PROD. The way we resolved it on that occasion was with a server reboot (J2EE)
I am sure a Java restart will do the trick again this time, but we can't have a situation where we need to restart systems each time a transport is sent through ... that's ridiculous.
I imagine there is some sort of caching holding onto the old items, but I don't know where to look to clear that cache.
Please, can anyone provide some assistance on this?

Hi Andrew,
i think that you will find the cache in 'RSRT' T Code.
and refresh will also help this problem.
If not then find the ABAP Program and regenerate it.

Problem with translation transport

hello everybody,
I have an application with two corresponding transport requests (this is because I would like to transport to different systems only part of the functionality of the app). Recently a translator made an English translation of my application which resulted in a new transport request with about 100 new objects. I would like to distribute accordingly these objects to the two old transport requests ( respectively the two parts of the app). Is there a way to do this, to find out which translation object belongs where?

Problem with the transport request

A request was released to Prod.
In D and Q the request is success but in P it shows one error..
so, we tried to create a new request and copy the objects from the old one.
but v r gettiing the objects not below the task(in req) but below the req..
so it is not possible for me to release it.
I also tried to edit the code , but when i saved it it is not asking for a new request. is it bcoz old req is released to P?

In production system, it is showing an error in the logs while transporting : Generation of Programs and Screen and return an error code 8. there are no repositary objects to transport. this is just simple code modification. In Quality and Dev system, transportation was done successfully with out causing any problem.
So, we tried to create a new transport request by editing the code in development.however it is not asking for the new transport request number while saving or activating.
Also, we tried to create a new TR manually using SE09 and placing the modified objects under the task. but, transport request and task number are getting created at a time and while assigning the objects, the objects are under the request not under the task.the objects should be under the task only.
this is the problem what exactly we are getting. Please clarify..

Problem with "Create Transport Request"

Iu2019m working with Solution Manager and Charm. I have a problem when I create a transport request.
After that I put regular correction into status u201CIn developmentu201D I choose u201CCreate Transport Requestu201D from the menu but the system display the message u201CThe last action triggered is locked in the task listu201D . Is it a problem of authorization in satellite system? The user that I use to create a transport request have sap_all profile in the satellite system. What settings do I have to use in satellite system and in solution manager?

Make sure that the profile S_TMW_IMPORT and S_TMW_CREATE has the correction authorizations assigned and that it is assigned to the user TMSADM of client 000 of your satellite system.
Note 807228 can be useful.

Problems with the transport of substitutions

Hi all.
We have developped some substitutions. We have checked that everything is alright in development environment, and then we have tried to transport to quality environment. The transport log has no errors, and the control tables have been filled with the same data in both environments.
But when you go to transaction OBBH to see the transported validation, the line of every step in the validation where the exit is specified is missing in quality environment. Any idea?
Details:
- It is a substitution of Financial Accounting / Complete Document
- The parameter type of the substitutions is C_EXIT_PARAM_CLASS
- The exits has been declared in the following way:
FORM U913 USING bool_data TYPE gb002_015.
- Generation program RGUGBR00 has been executed in both environments
Do you see anything that seems incorrect?

Esto es porque la tabla GB01 está diferente en desarrollo que en calidad.
¿Tú como le hiciste para modificar en calidad la tabla GB01 para quitarle la marca al "BEXCLUDE"?

Problems with InfoArea Hierarchy ( 0INFOPROV - INFOAREAHIER )

We are securing our BI data using the InfoArea Hierarchy (INFOAREAHIER). When trying to set up the 0TCAIPROV characteristic in an analysis authorization, we get the following error:
System error in program CL_RRHI_INCL_CREATOR_TID and form FINDDOUBLICATES-1- (see long text)
We get this message when trying to populate the 'Nodes", after the hierarchy has been selected.
I found an SAP Note (954673) that sounds like it would address the problem but it doesn't.
Other issues that we have with this Hierarchy:
The hierarchy is hidden when trying to locate it in RSA1. All other hierarchies appear under the info object that it pertains to, but this one cannot be located. This also seems to be fixed in a SAP note (960176) but we are at support pack 17 and still have the problem.
Any time we make a change to the hierarchy, it appears that the changes are not "activated" until the following day....the new nodes, changes, etc are not available to be used until the next day. If an info provider is moved from one node to another, the security authorizations treat the info provider as being in it's old node until the next day. Our Basis team is not aware of any nightly process that would be causing this.
Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Let's just keep this one alive. When we try to make changes to the infoarea hierarchy in RSA1, like add a node, our security is ruined and we lose one of the main table entries that controls security in table RSRHIEDIR_OLAP. We can only maintain the hierarchy in transaction RSA1OLD.
Anyone know how to get around that?

Problem with a transport Guided Procedures process - INVALID_LANGUAGE

Good day. I have a process created in GP. It contains many objects where Original Language is not English. Also the folders, where the process lays, have the Original Language - not English.
When we try to create a request we get an error: Cannot export transport request;
com.sap.caf.eu.gp.base.exception.EngineException: Function module
EUP_TSP_EXPORT produced ABAP exception at SAP system: INVALID_LANGUAGE
How we can fix it?
Also we tried to create a dummy folder with the Original Language - English and there weren't any troubles. So the problem in the Original Language... If we only could to change it for the existing objects, but the field is disabled. May be there is some workaround to change a language for the existing objects?

As a workaround you can export this process in .sda file and than deploy it on the backend system.

Seems like a latency issue... But, all tests are succesful, we are not experience any harm/issue. So, can we consider it as "by design" or should we take action?

Problems with RFC transport confirmation in a BPM

Hi everyone.
I have an interface that is stopped now. The problem is that XI tried to send a RFC and the R3 backend is down.
Now i have this interface waiting for a transport confirmation (since last sunday morning).
is there any way to 're-send' the RFC or 'unlock' this situation?

Status of the RFC is ok. At the right side of the status, i have a green '?' due to no-confirmation os the transport of the RFC. In the bpm i have set the property 'transport acknowledge' in every RFC i try to send to R3 backend. XI is waiting for the ACK but no ACK is arriving so i would like to 're-send' angain teh RFC.
Is that possible?

Problem with released transports

Hi All,
We have made changes to the existing query ( added two free charcteristics ) and collected it in a transport request.The query elements ( the free characteristics which have been added ) have both modified and active version in RSZELTDIR table.After releasing the request successfully into qualiy the changes are not getting reflected.The query elements are present only in the modified version but not active version.
We have one more similar issue.When we create a new query, include new query elements in the query and transport it to quality no entry is created for the query elements in the table RSZDELTDIR.
Could someone help me out in figuring out the problem?

hi,
Generally we face this error when the objects are not collected properly
check whether the query elements are collected into transport request or they are in temporary request/Package($TMP)
in your case i think they might have struck in temp request if it is so collect the query again in transport connection tab of RSA1 and check for the transport requests/package of the query elements
If they are in Temp right click on it and select change package and collect it again

Problem with Workbook transport

I have a Qxx query and the workbook newly built on a multiprovider, which I saved to the CTS xxx1 and transported from Dev to the testing, the transport was successful when I see the CTS Logs but I can see only the query in testing not the workbook.
Please help!!

I then tried with CTS xxx3 customized CTS, which was created by BASIS to insert the workbook in Browser in the specific Roles according to authorizations, LOG says CTS successful but workbook didnt turn up in testing.
