Problem with Inspire 4.1 4400

Hi?I am having Inspire 4.1 4400 speakers. My pc supports 5.1 HD audio. So I bought the Inspire 4400. The pc-to-woofer connector is 2 pin connector. When I tried to connect with that, am able to hear sounds from 2 speakers and woofer. Other 2 speakers are not working. So now am planned to buy a Creative Sound Blaster Audiy Value. Is this support Inspire 4.1 4400?My motherboard itself supports 5.1, so adding Creative Sound Blaster Audiy Value, to be problem?Or how I can use my existing pc to setup 4.1 system??

well .. on normal surround systems the sound is played only on the 2 front speakers (+ center) and sub (im talking about music and normal movies). to play on all the speakers you need a surround environment something like a dvd or a surround game ... to play music and normal avi movies on all the speakers you should use a stereo x2 which ports the sound from the front speakers to the back speakers... your card might not have that option ( you could use audio spliters and put all the speakers on exit). creative sound cards have a stereo x2 as far as i know..

  • 2 Small problems with Inspire 4400 4.1 & SB Surround 5.1 [on Vis

    Hey guys?
I just bought a Sound Blaster Surround 5. external sound card (USB), which i like to use on my laptop (HP Compaq 6820s with Vista HomePremium), together with my Creative Inspire 4. 4400 speaker set. What i did is; I installed the necassary software from the CD-Rom (for Vista of course), and after installation, I checked if everything worked. It did. I had sound from all my 4 speakers, and i was able to adjust the volume of each speaker (I forgot where that option was located, but thats not important right now). After the installtion, i did the necessary reboot, and i did the recommended software update. This update installed new drivers, but they did something strange; when i click on Creative Audi-center, it says 2. CMSS 3-D. When i click on Creative Audi-console, it says 'headphones' under the speakers. I know thus only have 2. sound
Right now, i cant change it back to 4.. I know that in the Creative Audio-console, there's an option to 'change' this. But when i change my system from 2. to 4., it doesnt do anything. If i check if I did the right thing, i found out (over n over again, no matter how often i keep changing it), my configuration is still set to 2., no matter how often i change it to 4.. So there's my first problem; i cant set my system to be a 4. system.
Second problem; i'd like to use the voume control on the SB Surround 5. console for my overall volume. When i remove the wired volume control 6pin DIN cable from my Inspire 4400 subwoofer, my sound wont work. So i still have to use the wired volume control. Also, the volume control on the SB Surround 5. doesnt work (although i can mute the sound with it). Now, al this might be logic, however, hwo is it possible to overcome this obstacle with a DIN cable? My SB Surround 5. system had 9pin DIN in the back, the subwoofer of my Inspire 4400 has a 6pin DIN cable in the back .... what can i do, to configure the volume control on my SB SUrround as my main volume control, in stead of keep using the wired volume control, which is connected to the back of my Insipre 4400 subwoofer?
Kind regards, and thnx in advance for any help!
    Huub
PS: When i change my sound setting via Windows' Control panel -> Sound ->? Configure 2- Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit External-> Quadraphonic sound, i notice that all my 4 speaker work (i checked this via the Test button), but after that, the sound hasnt changed anything when i play my mp3's via WinAmp...

    Hi,
Are you referring to the Li've! 24 bit External or the X-Fi Surround 5.
I would recommend getting in touch with support for further assistance on this.

  • Having Problem With Inspire 5.1 5300 rear speaker...

After using my inspire 5.1 5300 for few year... right now im having problem with my rear speaker... just one channel was unable to start... Anyone know about repairing for speaker ? I Have try to switch to other channel it seem that just that rear speaker was unable to start... all should be ok... week before i still hearing sound from that rear speaker... but now it was unable to start. Anyone Have Any Idea Please Tell Me. Thank You

Just to clarify, by "FCP 5 friendly source material," he means video files that are a format (codec) that FCP 5 supports. What FCP 5 supports can be found in the EASY SETUP list. If the format you are working with isn't there, say if your footage is H.264 or MP4 or some other web compressed format, FCP won't work properly.  It needs to be in an editing codec if you want FCP 5 to work with it.
Also, you need to make sure that your sequence settings match the settings of the footage you are trying to edit. If you add a clip to the sequence, and immediately have to render, that's a big clue to say that something isn't right. You should edit without rendering at all.
The most important thing you need to do is properly set up your project from the start, and the best way to do this is to choose a setting from the Easy Setups, located under the Final Cut Pro menu. Once you do this, you’ll need to create a new sequence.  This is because the sequence that is already in your new project is setup for the typical default setting of DV/NTSC, or for the settings of your last project, which might not match what you are currently working with.  So delete SEQUENCE 1 and create a new sequence:
This new sequence will contain the settings you chose in the Easy Setup menu, and should match the format you captured

  • Problem with inspire 280 speakers

well i own creative inspire 280 speakers but im having trouble with them. First when i connect it to some devices background electric noise appears when im not playing anything, then if I connect the jack till the end, the played sound will only be mono, the only way to play it stereo is if i dont put the 3,5mm jack till the end but it still shows some background noise. How can i solve this issue?

i have a similar problem with my 280 speakers.

  • Problem with inspire 5100 digital decoder

I have some problem with the decoder included with the Inspire 500 digital. I usually have it connected by soundblaster's audigy digital out to decoder's coaxial digital in (SPDIF). and recently sound has dissaperas replaced by a chipping and cropping low noise. Have you any ideas about it's. When I connect the soundblaser's speakers out to decoder's line in works only for stereo (losing 5.1 capabilities), and bypassing the decoder i can get 5.1 sound, but i can't use the included remote control to change volume or anything.
    Thank you.
I'm sorry for my poor english, it's not my native lenguage.

I'm not sure exactly how you're connecting things. You say you connected an optic out to a digital DIN on the receiver? These are totally different connectors.
The output on the card itself isn't optical. What you could use is a minijack to RCA (female) adapter, and then connect a standard RCA to RCA, male to male (SPDIF) cable to that, which plugs into the coaxial input on the receiver. Alternati'vely you could use a minijack to Digital DIN adapter and connect the DIN cable to that, and connect to the receiver.
Do you have the SBLi've 24-bit External? Do you mean you connected the optical output to the optical input on the receiver?
It may be best to contact Customer Support to speak to them one-on-one, to go over the connections and settings, if you're unsure of which to use.

Hi, I have the same problem. Actually, it was working for a while, then all of a sudden: no sound from any of the speakers! Plugging headphones into the remote works, so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the connection between computer and the system; but there's definitely something wrong with the speakers... Any ideas here? I was really enjoying them up to this point...

I have integrated souncard based on ALC 655 and Windows XP (licensed).
What should I do to solve this problem?

I think it depends on the soundcard, I don't know that model, but maybe it simply isn't able to sense a headphone is plugged in? I know SoundMax chips are able to, and Sound Blaster probably are too, but I can't seem to find that piece of information on realtek's site... So (please other users, correct me if I'm wrong!!?) I'm afraid you are just going to have to learn to live with muting center, LFE/Sub and surround channels when using headphones...
EDIT: I think the headphone jack will still work if you switch the set off, would be easier than resetting all volumelevels everytime you are done using the headphones.

  • Problems with MSI GeForce4 Ti 4400

I installed my GeForce4 4400 a few days ago, and am having some sort of problem that is really annoying.  Before i start, ill say that i have the latest drivers, and looked all over for a solution.
Ok... the card works great, but i cannot adjust the Open GL and Direct3D properties.  On my laptop, (GeForce2), i would go to Display Properties> settings tab> advanced> Geforce 2 Ti tab> additional properties, and i would have all these different tabs that let me adjust the settings of my card.  But when i do this on my desktop pc, it gives me no options.  Just an "Overlay Controls" tab.  I am really annoyed at this problem.  Can anyone help?

The tabs have changed over time, they do not look like they originaly did on the 5.xx and 6.xx drivers.
Try going into the advanced display properties, then chose the GF4 Ti4400 and there go to something like "more settings".
For better controll over the settings you can use power strip or NVmax for example.

  • Problem with Inspire 6.1 6600 subwoofer

    Hello,
All of my other speakers work except for the Sub......
It is strange because everything is connected to the sub, the sound of the other speakers is good and the calibration via the Creative software reads good.
Still, the sub just doesn't make any sound.....
I have this speaker system since 2002......
Does anyone have any suggestion as to why my sub doesn't work?
    Gal.

6.1 6600 speakers will have every satellites giving out different sounds and reverberation. If you have those all similare, your sound card might not be supporting channel output.
With my experience with creative, the speaker systems are not suposed to be operated at full volume, at full bass enhan*****t. The reasons are:
    1) The power supply will be one-third more capable than the speaker rating. So, full amplification of the sound signal is not preferable.
    2) Even if the fidility of sound card is excellent with more than 98 dB SNR, the amplifier at the speaker system need not be as good as that at the card (because, it amplifies the signal to much higher a value)
    3) As I have seen with most of the speaker systems (including high end theatres), the bass enhan*****t is fully functional with woofer and subwoofers of more than 100 watt RMS. That too will exhibit chattering after an year or two, at high volumes.

  • Speaker problems with Inspire 5.1 Digital 5

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply, can you please explain to me how to set the speakers to 5.
    Thanks
    Sarah.
Depends on your software (no card model mentioned, no mention are you using digital/analog output signal), but in generally there is a special utility to use to select speaker system (on creative software it's called Creative Speaker Settings").
This application can be launched from Surround Mixer (speaker icon,) or using start -menu selection on program group Creative.
If you don't have this software bundled with your card (or have not installed it (yet)), then you can set speakers on Windows Control Panel's - Sound and Multimedia settings --> on Audio tab, select Advanced (button) on Sound Playback --> select speakers from droplist.

  • --Static problem with inspire p5800 speaker setup--

    Hi,
I have recently purchased this speaker system (refurbished) and after hooking it up, I noticed static, a permanent eerie sound that is coming out of the speakers and I dont know how to get rid of this. I have a SB Live card, don't know if it is compatible or not but I get output, its just that the static is present and very annoying. Any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.

  • Problem with Inspire T7700

Hey, just newly bought myself that speaker system, and I can't seem to get the speakers, apart from the front left and front right working. I'm using a Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit 7.1 card, but have no idea how to get the other speakers working. Ideas?

Ok, let's start from the beginning.
The T7700 uses 4 colour-coded inputs. These 4 inputs should then be connected either to a soundcard or a decoder by a 3 jack cable (also colour coded). Do you connect your soundcard by a cable with 4 jacks in one end (into the subwoofer) and 3 jacks in the other end into your soundcard? This is the most important step, if you have connected them correctly we can go on to other venues of trying to get it to work.
