Problem with IOUSBFamily-327.4.0 loging Driver

Hi
I instaled the IOUSBFamily-327.4.0 loging Driver from the Developer side on my  10.5.8 mbpro  (version
W8844RE61AQ late 2008
)(this were the newest Drivers i could find on the site). This driver downgraded some of my Kernel extentions for USB
< com.apple.driver.AppleUSBEHCI (3.2.5)
< com.apple.driver.AppleUSBHub (3.2.7)
< com.apple.driver.AppleUSBMergeNub (3.2.4)
> com.apple.driver.AppleUSBEHCI (3.4.6)
> com.apple.driver.AppleUSBHub (3.4.9)
> com.apple.driver.AppleUSBMergeNub (3.5.2)
40c40
< com.apple.driver.AppleUSBOHCI (3.2.7)
> com.apple.driver.AppleUSBOHCI (3.4.6)
< com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily (3.2.7)
< com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHIDDriver (3.2.2)
< com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient (3.2.4)
< com.apple.iokit.KLog (3.0.3)
> com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily (3.5.2)
> com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHIDDriver (3.4.6)
> com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient (3.5.2)
As final result of this some of my HID devices dont work properly
Is there a way to get my old new Kernel extensions back  ? I got an Identical mbpro   is it save to copy the kexts or can i download them from apple?
with best wishes Aloras

  • Problem with a Toshiba PX1267E 320 external drive

    Hello all
I have a problem with a Toshiba px1267e 320 external drive, when all was ok with it I would switch on and the blue led would come on and change blue /violet as it was found on my laptop, a small vibration could be felt if I handled the case indicating that the d/d motor was on.
On that fateful morning I switched on did an explore in my computer and found no ext drive, checked the drive blue led on touched the case could detect no vibration, unclipped the drive from the case put my ear to it heard faint clicking.
I removed device and connected to caddie, this time I could feel the motor going, connected to laptop, new hardware found did my computer explore and found no drive, checked device manager and found it so I uninstalled and reconnected usb with same result.
I am not sure what do next.
I had a word with computer shop if they could recover a while I wait they said at least a 6 hour job if possible (dont want to leave at shop)
Bought me another western digital same model no and also new power supply to try swapping the electronics board just in case therein lies the fault /or possible us power/s but I am clutching at straws here.
Any of you guys here got anything like this happen ? any suggestions?
I am curious to know what they would try in the shop to recover although he said he couldn't guarantee results.
I would welcome any helpful suggestions (not throw it in the bin)

I think the external HDD is dead
Maybe its a head crash this would explain the faint clicking and other noises
Unfortunately, I such case you can do nothing

I had problems with my MacBook pro's hard drive. And I have this question how can I end up getting a replacement for it like get a new one.

The recycle program makes it easier for you to trade in your old Mac and buy a new one. Apple has a partner that will take the old one and give you a gift card for the value -- if your old Mac is in pretty good condition and doen't have problems (passes the diagnostics).

  • Problems with Ethernet controller and PCI device driver on Satellite L30-10X

    Hellow!
Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Russia.
Just few days ago I bought Satellite L30-10X with W Vista on board. My opinion, that this OS does't very good on this computer, so I install W XP.
I have some problems with drivers. At first, I dont know what model I have:PSL30 or PSL33? I download all drivers for both models. But, after installation, computer doen't find drivers for Ethernet controller and PCI device...

    Hi
Satellite L30-10X belongs to the PSL33E series. This number can be found on the label placed on the bottom of the unit!
You have to choose this number from the driver download form to get the compatible XP drivers.
I dont know why you are not able to install the LAN driver. Ive got the same notebook with Vista and Ive installed the XP and all drivers run fine.
I assume you have installed the drivers in wrong order. Please take the look in the Toshiba installation instruction txt file. In this order you have to install the driver! Its important.
I think you should install the XP again to ensure the clean registry and then download and install the compatible XP drivers like mentioned in the installation instruction file.
    Good luck

  • Problem with path length when using oracle drive

    Hello!
Does anybody else experience this problem with Oracle Drive?
When I create a deep or nested hierarchy in which the path length is longer than 250 (the limit might be 255) characters, I cannot access the deeper subpages.
Example:"X:\INET\START1\pfadlaengentest\das istein langer ordnername mit etwa 50 zeichen\and this is another veryveryvery long\and this is another veryveryvery lon2\and this is another veryveryvery lon3\and this is another veryveryvery lon4\and this is another veryveryvery lon5".
I can access the page "and this is another veryveryvery lon4" but not "and this is another veryveryvery lon5"
Is this problem due to WebDAV?
What can I do - I think it is a critical error / bug?
    Regards Joerg.

I opened a service request and oracle support could help me.
The problem is the windows file system: the path length cannot be longer than 256 chars.
    There's a workaround with MS-Webfolders.

  • Having problems with front row (and the opticle drive)

I bought my macbook three days ago, and I'm already having problems. First off, I transfered music from my user profile on my old iMac G5 to the macbook via data DVD. My music collection had some purchaces from the itunes store, so I had to go through the authorization thing, and I can now play them just fine in the iTunes library, but the problem is, if I try to use the front row program to play my purchaced music, I get the message saying that I have to authorize it first. What the ****? Does anybody else have this problem? Also, like many other macbook users, I'm having problems with the opticle drive, such as getting cds to be recognized and other things of that nature.

I noticed that this problem started after I tried to use a software to unlock my drive's region...
I believe this is the problem. The VLC Media Player will usually play DVDs from other regions without changing the settings on your optical drive. You may need to reset your optical drive's firmware back to the original setting, make sure you have the region set for the one you'd prefer to use the most and then use VLC to play the other DVDs.
    -Doug
P.S. After two years in the Front Row forum, I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone playing HDDVD_TS folders with Front Row. I'm not saying it won't work, but I'm not sure it's really supported either. I do have DVD Studio Pro myself, but I'll have friends or family staying with me for nearly the next month, so my evenings and weekends will be a bit full to try making one up for testing...

  • Problem with user install of 2 optical drives

The optical drive in my 2007 MacPro died (2,1), so, in the spirit of true Mac-Pro-ness I decided to replace it with 2 drives. The first is a Lightscribe DVD burner (ATA), the second is a Pioneer Blu-Ray drive (SATA).
I took it apart and installed an SATA cable into SATA-1 on the motherboard. Drive 1 (Lightscribe) is installed as "top" using the OEM cabling, the Blu-Ray drive is in bay 2 and uses my aftermarket SATA cable. Drive 1 is jumpered as "cable select", there are no jumpers on drive 2, at least none that I can see.
These drives are not playing well together. When restarting, both drives are visible in System Profiler under "disc burning", and drive 2 opens with "option-eject". Drive 1 even has a neat menu bar icon right next to the Airport icon for a quick eject.
Once drive 2 has been opened once, however, it disappears from the System Profiler "disc burning" category and attempts to open it show this error:
"The disc can’t be used because the disc drive is not supported (error code 0x80020025)." It is still visible in the "SATA" category in System Profiler, and is named and identified correctly.
I suppose that it's possible that it's just incompatible, but OWC has never been wrong before re: compatibility.
Is there a better way to configure these 2 drives? Should drive 1 be set to "master"? Is there a way to set drive 2 (the SATA drive) to "slave"?
    I'm running OS 10.7.3. THanks.

I have the same problem.  I replaced my optical drive with the Pioneer BDR206BK Blu-Ray drive.  I also purchased this from OWC.  I have a 2008 Mac Pro,  3,1.  I start up my computer and it works great, when it awakes from sleep I get error code 0x80020025 I am running 10.7.3.  I ran DiskWarrier once and it fixed the problem for a week and it came back.
    Any suggestions?

  • Help please!!! problem with setting up Zen NX (software/driver e

<SPAN class=postbody>Hello, i am new to this forum and have limited knowledge about the Zen NX and would really appreciate any help or advice that you could offer. O.K. i got a Zen NX in Jan 2004, ran the software disc supllied, no problem. I then turned on the player but it was not recognised by the computer ("Device not connected") so i went to the support site and found out that this was a known problem and needed to download a piece of software which i think was named (Drv_JB3.EXE)?. Once this was done i had no problem at all and the player turned out to be a great piece of kit. About two months ago i had to re-set my computer to the factory settings because of a virus, anyway yesterday i decided i would put the software back in for the Zen NX and add some new music. I did everything as before, and luckily i had saved the extra piece of software that was required in order to get the computer to recognise the player. Unfortunately, everytime i tried to download the software it just kept saying that there was a problem with the driver and that i should reconnect the player in order for the software to work, which of course never happened and it just kept on repeating this message everytime i reconnected the player. Anyway i spent the rest of the day uninstalling the main software and reinstalling and then trying the latest drivers downloaded from the creative website and also the latest version of Media Source etc, all to no avail (getting well pi**ed off at this point) i even did a "restore" in XP to see if this would help but no joy. Just to let you know i think that the origional driver version was (.23.00) and the Creative Media Source version was (.0.84). I do not think that there is a problem with the USB port or cable as the computer recognises that a new piece of hardware as been added when i plug in the player.
<SPAN class=postbody>I have posted this message on nomadness.net but as yet i have had no reply<SPAN class=postbody>
Any help or advice would be gratefully appreciated, before i launch the Zen out of the window!!!
    <SPAN class=postbody>
    cheers, Burni.

    Get the following:
. Creative Zen and Jukebox Driver Upgrade version .30.03
    2. Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2
    3. Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.9 for Creative MediaSource
Install . then connect the player to the PC. Then install 2. and 3. (the player must be connected for 2. to verify you have a Creative product).

  • Problems with time machine and external hard drive

    Hi all
In 2009 with my imac I bought a WD external hard drive which the computer says is 148GB formatted. I recall that the hard drive contained folders with files for the running of the hard drive when I bought it - and after it had been plugged in to a mac and used as a time machine, it no longer worked on windows computers.
Now I have used 195 GB on my computer's internal hard drive and wish to stop using the external hard drive as a time machine and instead use it for swapping files between computers and the like.
How can I wipe the time machine back ups and start using it as per usual again? do i need to obtain the WD files from somewhere?
    thanks in advance
    Nick

    Hi Nick,
Avoid the WD files completely, not needed & often a problem.
You need to erase the Drive, & to use it on both Format it MS-DOS/FAT32, on the Mac or PC, but will have a 4 GB filesize limit, as well as other limitations.
One option not mentioned yet is MacDrive for your PCs... allows them to Read/Write  & Format HFS+, so no need to reformat it...

  • PowerMac G5 has problems with a 2 TB GUID partitioned drive

I have an old 1.8 GHz single processor PowerMac G5 running 10.5.8.  It's been running just fine, but recently I have had problems using a large external hard drive with it.  The external hard drive is a 2 TB drive, that is GUID partitioned and HFS+ formatted, connected using USB 2.0.  I've seperated it into several volumes, the largest being 750 GB.  I am using the drive to clone a couple other Macs, as well as clone several other disks.  I haven't had any issues using this drive connected to the other two Macs, which are both Intel Macs.  When I connect the drive to the PowerMac G5 sometimes all volumes mount, sometimes a couple volumes mount and sometimes no volumes mount.  When all volumes have mounted, I started doing a clone but the process froze part way through.  I've disabled Spotlight for these volumes on the PowerMac because the indexing process was going to take an extremely long time and is not necessary.  I stumped as to what the problem is because I haven't found any information indicating that I would have issues using a GUID partitioned drive this size with a PowerPC Mac.  However, I'm starting to believe that it's either the size, partitioning or format that is causing some kind of compatibility.  I appreciate any assistance or advice.  Thanks

    Hmmm,
In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.
    If it does contain data...

  • PROBLEM with Importing video to an external drive

I am unable to import video directly onto an external drive. Whilst the ext drive shows up fine in Finder, I do not get this option on the import drop down menu. Yesterday i spent an hour with the Genius guys in the Regent St Apple Store. They both said that they'd done this before, but were both unable to get it to work on their hardware. It appears it should work, but doesn't!! We tested on mac formatted ext drive so it wasn't a pc formatting issue with the drive.
The guys at Apple said maybe it was a problem with a recent update to imovie which to me sound unlikely!
I use the latest version of iMovie 09, Snow Leopard & a Mac book (2yrs old)
    Any ideas really appreciated
    Thanks in advance

Several things are not officially supported by hardware and software manufacturers, but that does not prevent them from working very effectively. I have used LaCie firewire drives on many occasions on the same firewire bus as my DV source without any difficulty. I think that the settup that you propose will be potentially more problematic than using the same firewire bus. The reasoning for this opinion is that USB does not constant guarenteed bandwidth where firewire does. Theoretically speaking USB sould work under optimal conditions and there are some people using it, however I have heard of far more problems with the USB drives than firewire.
Things to look for in an external firewire drive include an oxford 911 or better bridge board and a drive speed greater than 7200 RPM. I have used 5400 RPM drives without any problems, but others have had problems with these as well.
Canon cameras have several quirks that have proved problematic when trying to integrate them as a source into video production settings. You may want to invest in a stand-alone deck or alternate brand camera to import your footage. This does not mean you can't try to use the Canon as a source. Several people do on a daily basis without difficulty. I would recommend trying what equipment is most easily availablr to you and determining what works best with your configuration.
    Reguards,
