Problem with iTunes ratings synchronization to iPhone/iPad

My problem:
I use to manage my music library with itunes which i sync to my iphone (5s) and ipad (air). The devices are managed "manually", such that i just drag some albums to the device. When i rate some songs on my iphone and syncronize it later on to my itunes library, the ratings are sometimes not synced... the problem occurs also in the other direction (rating in itunes and syncing to iphone).
As i said, the problem occures only sometimes with some songs (seems completely random).
I had the same problem with my ipad (since 2013/11), but now since i updated to iOS8 and the latest itunes, the problem is the same with my iphone.
I already contacted the support: after over an hour of phone calls... no solution!
I have already restarted all devices, logged off/on, re-installed all apple-software on my pc, restarted every device.
I think I'm having a similar problem with the Jawbone 2 headset I just got. I don't think it's related to just iTunes, but any data application.
I'm able to reproduce this problem as follows:
1) Turn off 3G
2) Connect to a wifi network
3) Connect to a bluetooth headset (Jawbone 2 is what I'm using)
4) Try to open any web page. It will say a connection doesn't exist. It seems the wifi signal goes to nil if the Bluetooth headset is connected. Not sure why this is occuring.

i removed pwntunes from my iphone, but still having same problem.
Try restarting your iPhone. Turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments. Now turn the Phone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Before you try syncing with your PC again, launch iTunes. Select the Apps tab from the menu. Delete the PWNTunes app then click the Apply button bottom right side of the iTunes window.
Now try to sync.

I have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7 PC. For several years,
I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months ago I decided to use Mobile Me. However, there were problems with duplication of calendars and then “rogue events” – which could not be deleted – even if deleted on Outlook and on the iPhone (or both at the same time) – they would just reappear after the next synchronisation. All other synchronisation areas (eg Contacts, Notes etc) work fine.
I have looked for help through the Apple Support Community and tried many things. I have repaired my Outlook. I have repaired my .pst file in Windows. I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes on my PC. I have re-installed the firmware on my iPhone. I have tried many permutations on my iPhone. I have closed down all Mobile Me functions on the iPhone. I have spent upwards of 24 hours trying to solve this problem.
What am I left with? Outlook works seamlessly on my PC. My iPhone calendar now has no events from my calendar, but does not synchronise through iTunes. Nor does it send events initiated on the iPhone to the Outlook. I am at the point of abandoning iPhones and iPads altogether. I need to have a properly synchronising calendar on my phone. Do you have any suggestions?In the control panel goto the "Lenovo - Power Manager" and click the battery tab, there is a maintenance button in there that will let you change the charging profile for your battery. (from memory, so exact wording may be off)
The lower the numbers you use there, the longer the battery *should* last. These batteries degrade faster at higher charge levels, however storing them at too low of levels is also not good for them... I've read that 40% is optimal, but just not realistic if you use your computer.

Issue 1: iTunes Match
Some song playback is merging songs. I select “Song A” to be played and midway through the song it begins playing “Song B” however when I look at my phone it indicates that “Song A” is still playing even though the actual music is not “Song A”. I searched the Apple Support Community as well as the internet and this seems to be an ongoing issue back to 2012 that has not been resolved. All of the “fixes” that are provided do not work. For example, update/sync iTunes Match, delete the song from your iPhone and re-download from the cloud or delete the song from your iTunes including the iCloud and re-download. None of which worked. I even tried to complete erase the song from my computer hard drive and restarted my computer and then re-downloaded the song and it was still not working.
Issue 2: iTunes Preview Track
I am unable to preview any music on iTunes through the iTunes app on my phone. I have signed out of my user ID and restarted my phone and then logged back in and it did not fix the problem. My iTunes Match and iTunes radio are allowing me to play music. My software is up-to-date.Same problem here, Im running the latest version of iOS 7 on my iphone 5S (ipod 5S) bricked lol. It was working fine and then a mates baby grabbed my phone and dropped it (not very high) then it went off so i turned it on and BAM i got the grey backround with the apple logo on it so, I waited, Then it went to BSOD and got stuck in that loop, I then done a manual reset I was able to turn it off thats all. I tried restore in recovery mode with the latest itunes it come up with Unknown Error, error code (14) (something to do with unreconizable USB) tried many diffrent USB ports but sadly nothing, I then tried DFU mode with itunes still not working. Im really stuck on this one I need some assitance PLEASE! HELP!

Well my iphone 5 does not remember my home network. This is not a problem with the wifi router as the ipad works absolutely fine. The wifi loses it connection in just 2 minutes. So could you please fix this problem.
Not unless the modem is causing a problem.
What you want to do is get it to work reliably over Ethernet first, then tackle wifi. Power off the modem. On your macbook, delete the Ethernet configuration and the Wifi configuration. Power up the modem, then connect the mac via Ethernet. Create the new Ethernet configuration and see if you can connect. -
IPhone 4 version 5.0 has sync problems with iTunes 10.5 on Mac OsX 10.6.8

I have Mac OsX 10.6.8, iTunes 10.5 and iPhone 4 version 5.0; all up to date.
When I try to sync my phone with iTunes, the sync goes well until the apps start to sync .... then iTunes closes and I get varying error reports.
I have tried updating everything (Mac, iTunes, iPhone) to no avail.
I tried restoring the iPhone, that didn't help whatsoever.
Does anyone have a solution? I am now tempted to downgrade to an earlier version of iTunes (ie: 10.4.3) as some people suggest in different posts.

MarmotteThere is definitely a problem with iTunes 10.5 and iOS 5.0 syncing correctly. I've seen lots of workarounds on the forums here. Just search for it and see if you can come up with something that works.

so i went back to the apple store and the only solution was to trade in your phone for a new one because there was a faulty conector in the microport. hopefully you have a waranty and your stuff backed up!

When i tried many times i success installed and can used with update latest version a few day then my iphone cut off service provider and when i restart it it appear itune plug USB and when i plug to itune on my pc then it asked me to install so i install it but when i am installing nearly full (70% finish) then it alert me with this message "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (-1).
What should i do?If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the iPhone's backup, your iPhone has a problem. Call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if available.

Problems with iTunes. Music skips and hisses. Sound is terrible. I have an IPad 2 and iOS7.1.
Problems with iTunes. Music. When I put on my ear buds, I hear it more clearly. There is this skipping and hisses. If you are an old (50)audiophile like I was when I was young, it sounds sort of like a record is skipping on my turntable. When I try to play a song it skips, jumps around and the Sound is terrible. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing, Wall Paper, Sound etc will be reset -

I've a problem with iTunes 11.1.4. When I want to add music on my iPodTouch 5g 7.0.4, I can't find how to add the music. The button "Synchronize" is always grey.
If I try to make anything I have a mesage on the banner at the top saying "Waiting for start the synchronization" or "Starting the synchronization" for 1 second.

Problems with iTunes Latest Update?
Have you had problems with your Apple devices after installing the latest iTunes update? If so, read below.
This is long but worth your time to read if you have a music library. I have the problem with my iMac and my iPhone 5. Maybe more devices but I'm not connecting them to my computer. On Saturday the 8th of December I connected my 5 to my iMac. It deleted all of my songs on my phone. Several attempts to put the songs back on my phone got only about 700 added. I had over 12,000 songs on my phone before the update deleted them. One of the tech's was able to help me get the songs back on my 5 but I don't know what this update has done to it. Then while looking at my library on my Mac I noticed that the ratings column was blank and the plays column blank too. I have over 35,000 songs on my computer and all with ratings so this is a big deal to me. I started calling Apple at 1:00 pm and talked to seven techs by about 6:30pm. One went to a supervisors computer and he checked to see if his ratings were there and they were not. He played the song and the rating returned so they asked me to play a song. While it was playing some of my ratings and plays returns so we thought that fixed it and ended the call. About ten minutes later all of them had disappeared again. I was assigned a senior advisor and was told I would be called back by a the software department within 48 hours. No call back yet. Since then I have had two entire songs disappear. I had written down that I had 35,297 songs and now have 35,295. Album and song names have also disappeared. I tried restarting my Mac but it did not help. Today I e-mailed my Apple contact and asked for an update on any progress made but have not heard anything. So here is my question to you. Is your music and video library all there after the latest update? Very likely not.Sorry this happened to you, too. In my case, I still had another computer, a Mini, on which I had not made the update. Since my library is on its own HD, it was a simple matter of removing iTunes 11 and then copying 10.7 back onto the iMac. iTunes 11 is, IMO, Apple's biggest blunder in the nearly 29 years I've been using Macs.

Report Status: 0There certainly is a problem with itunes. I downloaded 9.2 and now it won't open. It won't recognize my iphone, either. I uninstalled it in the order recommended by the site, no joy. Deleted a configuration file, no joy. System Restore, no joy. All other software and hardware on the machine is working fine. I call AppleCare AND a local store, either they are completely clueless (which I doubt), or they have no idea how to fix it. I can't even back up my phone, or use the ipod. And since no one at Apple seems to care enough, I'll have to wait until the clamor is loud enough for them to even admit to a problem before I can use the ipod again.
