Problem with JFileChooser when run using Netbeans

I just want to state that I have NO problem writing the code that brings up this component. My problem is what happens when the JFileChooser component is loaded. My environment is Windows Vista, Java SE 1.6.0. -> Netbeans IDE 5.0. The code I use is as follows:
public RegexParser()
JFileChooser openfile = new JFileChooser();
openfile.showOpenDialog(RegexParser.this);
int returnVal = openfile.showOpenDialog(RegexParser.this);
if (returnVal == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION)
//This code gets the path of the file and uses as a parameter to parse data.
filename = openfile.getSelectedFile().getPath();
openfile.setVisible(false);
ParseData(filename);
The problem is when I try to select an option from the combobox labeled "Look In:" Every directory I select which is not the root of the drive will display NO FILES even though there are files in that directory.
Notice: I have also run the same code using the cmd.exe and it works fine. I have also looked at: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/filechooser.html but have found nothing that has helped me.
Can someone explain what is the problem? Is this a known bug in Netbeans? Is there any code that can be used as a workaround?

Yes I copied the code to my machine and run it. The example program had problems when I executed using netbeans it had the problem.
When I executed using Command Prompt there where no problems.

I would suggest updating your software to the latest versions - java 1.4.2 or higher, tomcat 5 or higher, Eclipse 3. That should fix any incompatibilities you are experiencing.
As to your problem, it seems the tomcat you are trying to run from Eclipse wants a newer Java version (1.4.2 most likely).

• Problem with HQL (Hibernate) Query using Netbeans 6.7.1

Hi. I have a database which possesses only one table. This table is called "Login" and has two columns: "username" and "password". I have inserted two rows in it, so it is not empty.
Using HQL within Netbeans, I write the following query
FROM LoginThis results in HQL showing the correct result, the two rows added. But, let's say that I wanted only one of the two columns, like "username". I would do something like this:
SELECT log.username FROM Login AS logThis gives, the column with 2 rows (as expected), but in each row appears something weird. First of all, the column is not nada log.username, but "Bytes". The rows have for values something like "B@ebd...", and it's completely random, for when I ask for the result again, the "B@ebd..." can change to other word but it always begins with "B@".
I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I have tried many things, like using Upper Case, Lower Case, etc. It always work when selecting ALL the items from the table, but when asking for only a column, it goes crazy. Thanks for any help you can give

SELECT log.username FROM Login AS logThis is not HQL, it is plain SQL. This would be the HQL:
SELECT log.username FROM Login logThe result you are getting is a standard toString() representation of a class that does not have a toString() implementation itself. This would indicate that the value returned by the query is not a String object like you would expect. How this could happen, I cannot say. Not enough information.

• Having Problem With "static" When Running a Stand Alone Java Class

I have a Java class that recursively builds a 'tree' . This Java class works as I expected without problem. I am able to write out this 'tree" to the console "line by line" with proper indentation.
The problem occurs when I try to iterate through this 'tree' in the public static void main(String[] arg) method -- Each line in the tree is an Array. And I have to declare this Array (called titleArray in my code) non-static; otherwise, I end up with picking up the very last line of my hard-coded data.
Besides, I also have to declare the List (called recursiveTextArray in my code) non-static; otherwise, I end up with picking up the first Array that I ever build and run into endless iterations till the heap size is exhausted. Note that each element of that List is an Array object.
Then, this non-static Array and this non-static List cannot be accessed in the public static void main(String[] arg) method.
What should I do?
Here is my code that works without problem (the one I do not access the 'titleArray' in the main(String[] arg) method):

• A problem with middleware when i use the t-code spro in erp .

HI everyone :
Can i transfer the data from ERP to CRM automatic by middleware when i create a new entry use t-code spro in ERP .
for example ,i create a new entry in table tvv5( the group5 ).
thank you .

Hi,
Customizing data are never transferred automatically from ECC to CRM. The delta load is not valid for customizing objects.
However, a download object does exist for this table, namely object DNL_CUST_SALES. What you can do is schedule an initial load for this object to run periodically in the background.You simply need to schedule a job for program SMOF_DOWNLOAD. Or you can create a request using R3AR2, then schedule prgram SMOF_REQUEST to run as a background job to load this request. These are all the options available.
I hope this helps!
Brian.

• Problem with TagLib when running JDeveloper 10.1.3.2

I recently installed JDeveloper 10.1.3.2, and used the upgrade feature to import my project from JDeveloper 10.1.2.0 My project was building and running fine on the old JDeveloper 10.1.2, yet when I imported it to the new JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 and attempted to rebuild, I got the following error:
Error(1): java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\srp-app\srpTagLib (The system cannot find the file specified)
This is the piece of code where the error occurred:
<%@ taglib prefix='srp' uri='/srpTagLib' %>
This is how I set up my web.xml file:
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>/srpTagLib</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/srp.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>
BTW, both my web.xm and my srp.tld file compiled cleanly.
I attempted to add the srp.tld file to the JSP Tag Librabries under project properties and when I selected the srp.tld file to add, I got the following error:
"A Valid Tag Library Descriptor (*.tld) was not found"
Please help!

JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 supports J2EE 1.4 in which the web.xml does not include the
<taglib> element. Remove the <taglib> element from the web.xml. Specify the http uri in the <%@ taglib prefix='srp' uri='' %>
Add the taglib JAR file to project libraries.

• Problems with ADF when running sample EJB, JPA, JSF Tutorial

Hi,
I'm new to jDeveloper.
I've downloaded the version 11.1.1.2.0 and tried to do my first tutorials with the product.
I started with the sample 'Build Applications with EJB, JPA and JSF' and run to following problems:
- Part1: Step 10 expose the EJb as a Data Control
Here right-click FODFacadeBean.java and choose Create Data Control.
this option 'Create Data Control' does not come up at all. There is not such option
- Part 2: Step 1 Add Tag Libraries to a project
The option to select ' ADF Faces Components 11 '
does not come up either. I can not see any ADF related options...
Is there something missing from my installation, as I can not access these ADF components ?
Should I include the ADF components at some stage during the installation to be able to access these
or is this some licencing option ?
I downloaded the product yesterday from the public download site, filename jdevstudio11112install.exe

wen6275,
It looks like you're actually using a camera or phone to take a photo of your monitor.
That's not what is commonly known as a "screen shot".
It looks like you're on a Mac. Hitting Command+Shift+3 places a capture of the contents of your entire monitor on your Desktop; hitting Command+Shift+4 will give you a cross-hairs cursor for you to select just the portion you want to capture.
I'm mentioning this because I fear I'm not construing your original post correctly when you type "I am working with a large files [sic], currently it has 149 layers, all of which are high resolution photographs", so I'm wondering if there's some similar use of your own idiosyncratic nomenclature in your description of your troublesome file.
Perhaps I'm just having a major senior moment myself, but I'm utterly unable to imagine such a file. Would you mind elaborating?

hi friends ,
My report Fetch from the orcle database , we installed Oracle 10g and 11g - clent 32 -bit on win 2k8 -64 bit machine .while design time runing fine,but ofter depolyement im facing below issue.

An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)
Any help is greatly appreciated, I have tried couple of solutions going through some threads online but no use and place dt tell install 1og r 11g 64-bit

Hi,
Based on the error message, we should confirm whether Oracle client tool has been installed on the Report Server at the beginning. If the Report Server installed is 64-bit, we should also install a 64-bit Oracle client tool on the Report Server. Besides, we
can also try to bypass tnsnames.ora file when connecting to Oracle by specifying all the information in the data source instead of using the TNS alias to connect
to the Oracle database. Please see the sample below:
Data Source=(DESCRIPTION=(CID=GTU_APP)(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST= server01.mydomain.com)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=OracleDB)(SERVER=DEDICATED)));

Hope this helps.

Adobe now hides the editor - what looks like it is not - you want the editor hidden in the support folder - see http://forums.adobe.com/message/3955558#3955558 for details

• Problem with SDO_relate when using polygons with holes.

I'm having a problem with sdo_relate. I'm trying to extract all elements from a point table (bdtq_batim_p) that are inside a specific polygon from another table (SDA_MUNIC_SS). The spatial index for both table have been rebuilt and the data from both table is valid.
When I do a count on the query, I know the answer should be 1422 elements (Counted in ArcGIS). However, sdo_relate gives a smaller number of elements in the result set.
The query :
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and sdo_relate( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'mask=anyinteract querytype=window') = 'TRUE'
returns 282 elements. The query with mask=inside, SDO_Anyinteract() and SDO_inside() all give the same result.
I did a test with the following query and the result is 1422 (which is the good result).
SELECT count(distinct t.identifiant) FROM bdtq_batim_p t, SDA_MUNIC_SS s WHERE s.mus_co_geo = '48015' and SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE';
It's important to note that the polygone (from SDA_MUNIC_SS) that is used for this query have holes in it. I have the same problem with all the polygons from the SDA_MUNIC_SS table that have holes in it. For the polygon without holes, the results are the same for the 2 queries.
My question are :
Why are the result from the two queries different? A query with a buffer of 0 should always return the same result as a query with Anyinteract.
Is there a known problem with SDO_RELATE when using a polygon with holes in it?
Do you have any idea how to solve my problem.

Since i don't have much control on the version of Oracle and Patches that we use in the system, we used a workaround that detects the polygons with holes and uses the SDO_WITHIN_DISTANCE( t.SHAPE,s.SHAPE,'distance=0') = 'TRUE' operator in those case. We saw a slight decline in performance but it now returns the right results. When the system will be patched, we'll come back to the original version and see if the problem is solved.

• Attempt to load Oracle client libraries threw BadImageFormatException. This problem will occur when running in 64 bit mode with the 32 bit Oracle client components installed.

Hello guys,
Problem has been solved -
Attempt to load Oracle client libraries threw BadImageFormatException. This problem will occur when running in 64 bit mode with the 32 bit Oracle client components installed.
1. If you install 64 bit oracle this is not an issue. Install 64 bit oracle.
2. Download odp.net 32 bit from below link:-
ODP.NET Managed Driver Beta Download</title><meta name="Title" content="ODP.NET Managed Driver B…
3. installed the odp.net.
4. open the visual studio 2010.
5.Select new - project - asp.net web application - project name -ok
6.select tools- > connect to database- then follow the following steps
i> user name - your user name/client username (example -- hr)
ii> password -- enter your password/client password (example- hr)
iii>select connection type -- if you want to connect client database then- select EZ connect other wise select tns
iv>test the connection- then you will get connection succeed.
v> then click ok
Thanks
Chandrashekhar

You do not need to do anything in VS. You do need to configure both tnsnames.ora files, because the drivers do not share any data.

To build CD's???
What problem does Encore have with DL?
If DL is not working properly for you the way around this is to export from Premiere to either mpeg2-dvd for DVD or BluRay H.264 for BD-disks and import the files in Encore.
