Problem with latest download of Flash Player?

I have a laptop purchased in Autumn 2011 which is Windows 7. I've upgraded to the latest Flash Player but it won't work. I can't understand why I've downloaded the lastest version but it won't work when I try to view I Player or upload photos to Facebook. Do you have any idea why Flash Player is on the computer but won't work?

RTMP Netstream NOT working with latest version of flash Player

Let me preface this by saying: This is definitely a bug either with latest Adobe Flash Player or the streaming Media Server (in this case Real Helix):
In the latest version of the Flash player (10.1.82.76) Code that worked previously in version 10.1.53.64 does not work now. This is basic code to connect to an RTMP server (Real Helix) using Netstream class. NOW the video does not even display and there is no error message . THIS ONLY OCCURS in a BROWSER . Also I am using swfobject to display the flash and I tried with latest version and the old 1.4.1 version.
Adobe please look into this, Is this possibly a problem with Real Helix OR Flash Player itself......I can't imagine nobody has come across this before?!

This is confirmed as a REAL HELIX Bug. Here is what I recevied from them:
This has already been fixed (not yet released). For existing servers to work with the
latest Flash player (10.1.82.76) you need to add the following to the top level of
your server config file

I put this in the config file and restarted the server, and it worked!

Problems with Adobe Reader and Flash Player

I had an Adobe update last Monday and, ever since then, I can't view documents (eg credit card statements) on screen and sites that I previously visited regularly without problem suddenly say that I need to have Adobe Flash Player installed. I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player and it says it's installed correctly but when I return to the site, it still says I need Adobe Flash Player. I've also tried doing an uninstall first and then an instal but the same thing happens. I've run disk first aid and it found a problem with the Head which it fixed but I still can't open documents using Adobe in Safari. Adobe Plug ins tells me that the Internet Access plug in is not loaded but when I ran 'repair Adobe Reader installation", it said there were no missing components detected and repair was not needed. I don't know if it's relevant but I've been having problems with Safari for several weeks, quitting 3 or 4 times a day, mainly when I'm switching from Safari to another programme such as Entourage or Excel.

I don't think I made it clear on the original post that I'm having problems with both Adobe Reader AND Adobe Flash Player. Unfortunately, all the Adobe Reader sites are confidential so I can't give you an illustration on that but for the Adobe Flash Player, try www.jacquielawson.com/ - you can preview cards without being signed in. With the Adobe Reader problems, I get a picture of a blank 'piece of paper' with a small blue square in the top right hand corner that has a white question mark inside it. The first time this happened to me, I was on the UK Inland Revenue site trying to print out some end of year forms. I phoned the Revenue's helpline and they said to try doing a 'save as' to my desktop. It seemed bizarre - saving a blank piece of paper - but lo and behold, when I opened it on my desktop, the forms appeared exactly as normal. However, I've since tried this 'save as' technique with my credit card statement and I still get a blank piece of paper with a blue square and white question mark when I open the desktop copy.

I've branched this to a new discussion. The issue in the previous thread has already been resolved. Also, we would highly recommend that you deploy the latest version of Flash Player (11.7.700.169 as of today), as previous versions have known vulnerabilities.
First, make sure that you're not running into the ActiveX filtering problem:

After that, make sure that your users actually have permission to run the Flash Player binaries.
If that looks good, try installing Flash Player the same way, but on a machine that has stock Group Security Policies (your PDC may be pushing down rules that cause Flash Player not to work).
If you're still stuck after that, we'll help you troubleshoot it further.

Hi, i have a macintosh with OsX Yosemite 10.10.2 and i can't update the software to te last version. The download always stop at 20-30%. It's not a problem of my internet connection. I tried to uninstall e reinstall flash player, but i have the same problem, with the difference that now i neither have the software... What can i do? Thank you!

Download the install package from this link. Double-click to open it from your downloads folder; when you see the red "install" folder, right-click it and select "Show Package Contents"; click on the "Contents" folder; then click on the "Resources" folder; then double-click on the "Adobe Flash Player.pkg" file. The installation will start. It worked for me.... FINALLY!! I hope it also works for you.

Problem with displaying text in flash player

I have flash player 10.2.152.26 and opera 11.01 installed.
The problem is that text in flash is diplayed in an awful way like this:

So you have IE8 and the hardware acceleration was able to be UNchecked and FP(Flash Player) is working properly with IE.
In IE flash works fine with any settings.
When I unchecked "Hardware acceleration" checbox in IE it also became unchecked in opera, but nothing changed in opera's behavior.
When you don't use the Aero it's displayed correctly but the settings do not work. What settings are you referring to?

In both cases the settings dialog is displayed like in the screenshots above, but when I click on checkbox/tabs/'close' button in it nothing happens. I can't change any settings or close it (dialog disappers only after reloading page)
Just to sum up everything mentioned above:
- In IE flash works fine regardless of any settings
- In Opera text is displayed wrong when using windows aero, and without aero theme it's displayed correct
- I didn't manage to make settings dialog work in Opera
- When I change some flash settings in IE, they are also changed in Opera
Now Flash Player works thru the browser, do you have perhaps have an addon that is conflicting? What Anti-Virus do you have Installed? Any addons of that?
I have 7 extensions installed in Opera, I've disabled all of them, but nothing changed.
I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, disabling it also gives nothing.

My Default browser doesnt play online VDO's anymore. It tells me get Flash player from Adobe site. When I go there and when I downloaded the ".deb" file. The package didnt install properly and gave an error. What should I do?

Adobe make two types of plugins
First is Flash for a platform.. This is flash for Windows, for Linux, for Android..
If you have a device running a compatible platform, you can download and use flash
Adobe also works with manufacturers to produce one off versions:
Flash for the N900, Flash for the N810, Flash for the N800, Flash for Archos media players
These versions are 99.9% of the time released with the product they were designed for, then forever left to rot.
This second method is incredibly bad for the end user. Imagine if it were Flash for Dell laptops, not Flash for Windows.... If you bought a HP laptop you're out of luck.. If you have an old Dell you're out of luck.. It just wouldn't work
The question is, will Meego see Flash for Meego.. or will the continue with the lame "Flash for this specific version of meego and only on this vendors hardware" approach..
If so, the version of flash that comes with the Nokias first Meego device will not be licensed to run on older Nokia devices, so the N900 will be out of luck
(This happened with the older internet tablets.. no back porting of flash allowed or supported)
We will almost certainly never see Flash 10 for the N900 from Nokia or adobe... let alone an updated Flash 9 that fixes the security vulnerabilities present in the N900 flash plugin today!

Problems with Safari, Firefox and Flash player

Ever since I got my new iMac that has Snow Leopard I've had problems with Safari and Firefox freezing or crashing. It appears that part of the problem is the Flash plugin because sometimes a screen pops up and says something like: the flash script is having problems. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling Flash, Safari and Firefox but the problem is still there. My browser seems to hang up or freeze a lot no matter if I use Safari or Firefox.
Any ideas?
I just discovered the Chrome browser from Google this morning and so far its working very well. No freezes and it appears to handle Flash video without any problems.
How can that be?

Ah! The proverbial missing information. Why the regrets? Most people are having no issues migrating from previous computers; it's the preferred method. See Best Practices and Setup new Mac. You're a long way from starting over.

Problem with finishing install of Flash Player on a Mac. When finishing by entering the requested password, the dialog box jiggles as if the p/w is invalid. But it works in the Adobe site.

I am trying to install Flash player on my Mac. All the steps are working as they should, until the point where I am asked to enter my password. I do this, and the dialog box jiggles as through the p/w were invalid. However, it works to sign in to the Adobe site. I just changed it to be sure and checked again.

There is no password required to download or install the Flash Player. Chances are your Mac is requiring you to enter its password to allow the installation to occur.

Problems with Explorer and Adobe Flash Player

I have downloaded the new Flash Player, but now it doesn't work at all in Explorer-I download it again, and it says "Installation Successful", but when I go to Youtube, the message says I need Adobe Flash Player. Can anyone help?

Its a browser specific issue. Try a different browser like chrome or firefox, it should work.
For fixing IE, lets follow below suggestions :
Run the Flash Player Uninstaller as applicable for your machine(i.e.Windows or MAC) and remove flash player.
For Windows : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Restart the machine.
Download and Re-install Flash Player.
Restart the browser and check.

For the past week, I am unable to view videos. The page comes up with this comment: "Blocked plug-in" and it suggests that I download the latest version of Flash player. I have downloaded that and still get the same comment. Please help.

Why would I have to download latest verison adobe flash player twice in one day when I already had?

   I play a game called Castville and I play on Zynga.com on mozilla firefox. About a week ago after
going into and playing castlville dozens of times I got a message saying I needed to download the latest verison of adobe flash even though I just downloaded it with no message or problem just moments before. I had to leave and then went back in that is when I saw the message about the download. The problem was I had to download it twice in one day one right after the other. I downloaded and I still had the same message well I downloaded again but I should have never had to download it all since it was already oin my computer now there are problems with the game and at the bottom of the screen I see

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

Why can't I download the latest version of Flash player?

My system recently updated from Windows Explorer 9 to Windows Explorer 10. But I was encountering issues with trying to update to the latest version of Flash even prior to that. I keep getting the prompt that an update is available, but when I follow the steps, I get to Step 1, and click on the "Install now" button, and the screen changes to Step 2 but nothing else happens. For a moment it says "Initializing..." and then it says "If you encounter any issues downloading Adobe Flash Player, click here." But nothing else happens. If I click on the "Click here" button, it just tells me that when the File Download box appears I should click "Run" and when the User Account Control box appears I should click "Yes." But neither of these boxes ever appears! Very frustrating! (My current Adobe Flash version is 11.9.900.170 and my security program is Norton 360). Thanks.
