Problem with loading / displaying web pages
I have a problem with a new laptop that I bought recently, running 64-bit Windows 8, do not know if it will be a driver problem, but I doubt it, the issue is that normally browsing Firefox 22, after a while you start having problems displaying pages which makes it impossible to surf the internet, I attached a screenshot of what happens to me when the problem starts:

I have tried re-installing Firefox, flash player, java, everything but it stays the same, to fix it I have to clear the history and ?cache?, but after a while the same thing happens again. I tried disabling plugins and so I doubt it's hardware problem, the only thing that was initially install ad-block, uninstall it after a while, that may leave me something in Firefox record causes me this problem? After starting Firefox the Firefox homepage comes up with the google search, but if i enter anything in the search bar, nothing happens it just says done. Also my homepage is Google, imported from Internet Explorer, but doesn't come up when i start Firefox, And Also at the top on the tab it just says untitled. Now with that being said if i enter in yahoo or yahoo.com in the search tab or even enter in the actual web address, it still doesn't open it just says done at the bottom of the page and nothing happens, But if i go to the Bookmarks also imported from Internet Explorer it will open or display most all of the web pages it just seems to be having problems with search engines such as Google, and Yahoo. Now if i enter Ask.com in the web address search tab it will open that page but if i enter Google.com or Yahoo.com nothing. Also like i said most all bookmarks will open but yahoo or my yahoo that is saved in Bookmarks will not. and nothing happens with any entry made into the Google search displayed on the the Firefox Start Page.

Problem with load Database Home Page
when I try load Database Home Page i have this error:

That is a generic error message saying there is a code error. We need a lot more information. Something along the lines of:
- operating system (incl patch level) and specifics about which Oracle XE you decided to install;
- whether your system is on a network, what kind of connection you use, etc;
- whether this is Oracle's supplied code or something you wrote or modified by hand;
- exactly what you typed to get to that point;
- whether this ever worked;
- whether you had any problem in the installation, or any logs or trace files show up.
In other words - the more details you can provide, the more we might be able to help.
(We can not see your system, watch over your shouders, or read your mind. Either you provide the details - even if you think they are irrelevant - or we assume things.)

Note that I can define Order By ORDER_ID in OrdersView without problems.Thanks Frank... I had entered just CUSTOMER_ID as you said. After trying this, the App Module is "permanently" broken. It will not work again even if I remove the Order By entry. I was able to use Order By ORDER_ID successfully in the OrdersView. The Order By is not part of the tutorial, but I wanted to use it because I would if this was a real application.

Problems loading certain web pages
Lately, in the past week or two, I have been noticing that Safari wont load certain web pages. It jsut stops and then I get a blank white page with no error message. I have noticed this mostly with Facebook, but also found the same problems with Evite.com when I click the login link. I have tried using Firefox and it seems to d better, especially with Facebook, but it did hang up on it one time. I cant get to the login page on Evite with either browser. I am using OpenDNS, but dont have these things blocked. I can access them fine from a PC laptop through the same connection via my wireless modem.

1.1.3 problems displaying web pages
After updating (and paying $20) to 1.1.3 Safari on my iTouch is now not displaying web pages nicely. Most don't fully load. Some load as text instead of html. Often I get "can't locate server." even for CNN and Apple.com. Google search doesn't work.
All these pages load to some degree but something is missing?!?!?

"Error Retrieving Chart" when trying to get stocks from Yahoo widget.
Anyone else having these issues??Misery loves company..... I'm having the EXACT same symptoms. The Weather app also gets a failure trying to update. It's even erratic trying to access the iTunes on my iPod. Most times, I get an unable to connect to server message after it appears some items are downloaded. On Mail, it works, but even though I'm accessing Gmail via POP, after accessing it okay it then tries to access via IMAP, and gives me an error. And it sometimes will give me an entry saying "Download next 25...." and shows me I have a few million unread emails. But if I tap that entry it goes away. I'm also using a WRT54ag, but I really have a problem having to swap this out to get wireless going again. Hopefully, Apple will come to the rescue before I decide I need to go down that path. I also tired to restore the iPod, but after a few minutes it told me it couldn't restore. I've seen workarounds for that, but.... Anyway, at least I know I'm not hallucinating all these quirky problems.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Comcast just replaced my cable modem/wireless router. All devices connect properly except my iPhone 4. It shows itself to be connected to the network, but it does not load any web page. Resetting the iPhone does not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

I had rebooted the router (several times, actually), to no avail.
I do not know the answer to whether MAC filtering is enabled on the router. Have tried to find info about that, but unsuccessfully. Router is an Arris TG852G, supplied by Comcast. I would be surprised if MAC filtering were the issue, since in addition to the computer, we have successfully connected several other devices to the wifi, namely an iPad, a Android phone and a Kindle Fire - all able to access internet pages through the wifi, and all without a need to add the device to a MAC address whitelist. To add to the mystery, the Comcast tech was able to connect his iPhone 4 to my network and access web pages. He was unable to connect my iPhone, however, after trying for some time.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that an iPhone cannot connect to a wireless "n" router, only "b" or "g". The Arris router is described as a n/g/b compliant router, and as noted the Comcast tech was able to connect his iPhone, so don't know why that would be the issue here.
By the way, my iPhone does connect wirelessly to my network at home. This difficulty is at a second home.
Any other thoughts would be appreciated. -
firefox opens, but wont load any web pages. tabs say "untitled". page is blank below. uninstaled and reinstaled- no change. problem came after recent update. any help?
ps. IE works as usualProblem solved from prior post. Firefox had become blocked somehow by McAfee firewall. Set to full access. Now works perfectly.

Explorer Cannot Display Web Page Desk Top 3000J1157387-A11
Originally worked fine displayed web page withOUT a problem FOR OVER A YEAR. Starting in Jan 2008 (just after warranty EXPIRED) it just reports "cannot display web page" Using my Xp computer I can get all of the web pages to respond.
Using internal checks on the Lenovo 3000J it reports everything is OK.
I can receive updates on this computer and just today I installed all updates through 4/20/2008. Windows Upgrade works fine on the Lenovo. However I cannot access the web otherwise. I am typing this message on my Xp. Computer because I have not been able to get a webpage to display on the Lenovo
I want to stay with Vista Home Premium however HOW CAN I GET THE WEB PAGE TO DISPLAY ?

When I select "Properties" from the file menu on the "Cannot display page" I get the following address:

Of course it cannot display this page because it does not exist. The page I tried to load was http://www.yahoo.com when I select this page on my Xp computer it loads correctly and under file- properties -address http://www.yahoo.com and all is well with the world.
For some reason on my Lenovo Vista Home Premium Computer Internet EXployer is inserting
"res://ieframe.dll/dnserror#http://www.yahoo.com

This server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard with SP1) is used to host thin clients as well as RDP sessions. One morning the office is fine, they come back from lunch and all of the sudden they can't load certain web pages, such as adobe.com
and pandora.com to name a couple. This was roughly 3 days ago.
1.) I have tried machines that are not connected to this server (not thin client or RDP), but are on the same network, they can load up any web page fine with no issues.
2.) On the server I have tried Opera, Chrome, IE and Firefox, all have the same exact problem.
3.) Tried different DNS servers just to be sure, even though it only effects the server and no one else.
Based on these facts I know that it is something wrong with the server, but not tied to a specific brower. In all browsers when you load up a page in question it just sits there with a blank screen trying to load, it never generates any errors.
The Event Viewer is also clean, no errors. So with no errors I have had trouble trying to find a starting place for this. Things I have tried:
1.) ipconfig /flushdns to try and clear out any DNS issues
2.) Changing the DNS servers for the server to 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.2
3.) Scanning for Viruses and Malware/Spyware
4.) Checking proxy settings on the server
5.) Updating and then removing Adobe Flash (thought it was tied to flash at first). Problem persists even with no flash player installed.
6.) Completed a failed update of .net, no effect
7.) Loading up browsers in debug mode to try and find anything in the site code that I could relate between failed sites. I found nothing I could identify
Of all issues to finally be stumped on this seems like an easy one, but I can't even begin to come up with an idea at this point.
I have tried to lay out all of the facts that I know as plainly as I can. I am hoping that someone has seen this before as this issue is effecting a number of differnt users and keeping them from doing portions of their job.

CAUSE:
It appears that the Internet isn’t fully up to date and ready to use EDns -- which is enabled on Windows Server 2008 R2 by default. The solution for this is to disable Edns. Note that this isn’t
a problem for most Windows Server 2008 R2 member servers. It’s only a problem for DNS *servers* that do recursive lookups. i.e. likely only your domain controller will be affected if that is where your DNS Server role exists.
SOLUTION:
To disable EDns, you can do it from the command prompt, or by editing the registry.
Create a DWORD called EnableEDNSProbes and set to 0 in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\DNS\Parameters
Restart the DNS Server service for it to take effect. -
Can display Web pages from servlet but not applet?
I have been able to display real-world Web pages from a simple servlet using JDeveloper 3.0, but can't figure out how to do the same from an applet. Any hints?
My previous post had the detail...Probably a simple question from a relative novice. I'm having a problem just viewing web pages by calling them from a "list" of URLs in an applet. I built an applet with a split pane that has a JTree on one side and an "HTML viewing pane" on the other. I can click JTree nodes to display local html files, but I don't understand how to display web pages from the Internet. Do I need something like HyperlinkListener to make the jump to "hyper-world"???

Photoshop CS5.1 Crashes Upon Opening: "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver-"
Every time I try to open photoshop I get a window that pops up and says:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturer's website for the latest software.
GPU enhancements can be enable in the Performance panel of Preferences."
Then windows shuts the program down. The details of the problem are:

The error happens so quickly that I don't have time to do anything. Please help. >.< I've been on hold for *checks phone* 2 hours exactly. Wow. It is a legit copy and was working last month with no trouble. I've updated the drivers and tried a few solutions that have worked for other people that I found on Google (such as disabling CUDA and setting my "power management mode" to "prefer maximum performance" on my video card) but so far nothing has worked.
Thanks in advance!It has stopped crashing because somehow it turned off "Enable GL Drawing" on its own because I could never even get a menu open. Not sure how it did that but I am grateful. I still get the error when I open Photoshop up but at least it hasn't crashed yet.
