Problem with losing files in Dreamweaver after they have been saved.

Hello everyone,
Presently, I am a student and was working with Dreamweaver in an attempt to build my portfolio Web site. I had my root folder completed and saved my Dreamweaver file, next I and gave it a site, or designated a site, whatever it is called. I was about to load an image and I did not like the way it was coming along so I tried to back out, but it would not let me for some reason. So I decided to just close it and go back to my previously saved file. Here is what happened:
This is what is left, but no file. Please, for the love of God can someone tell me what keeps doing this. This happened last year when I was in another class and had to take an incomplete and never got to finish it because I had nothing to go by and could not remember the steps. I am so frustrated, and always happens when there is no one around to help. I am so tired of software and technology failing me. What does someone do with a paying client when this happens? In any case for anyone's information I have Dreamweaver CS6 CC and I am running it on a MacBook Pro Retina 15 inch, Early 2013 that utilizes OS X Yosemite 10.10.2. I would love to know if there is anyone else having this problem. Hope this information helps too as I am frustrated and at times second guessing whether or not this is a deal breaker in this field. Very disgusted and discouraged at the moment.

You might try using Finder to locate the file you're attempting to open, and compare its actual location to the location of your site folder in Dreamweaver's Site Setup:
More likely than not, there's a discrepancy between where the file is, and your site folder - as configured in Dreamweaver.

I did my first massive Xcelsius project for our board reporting and it went very well. Now I need to create more "real data" and links to the underlying database - all the data stuff I didn't have time to do when pushing this prototype through so quickly. Anyway, I can't open the XLF files in Excel 2007 and I need all my data in XLSX files so I can work on them and have other folks do some data entry, etc.
In other words, I started with XLSX files, brought them into Xcelsius and made all my cool charts, etc. but now I need the files back as XLSX or somehow how need to be able to work on them in Excel as not everyone who has to do input has Xcelsius.

Depends on which version of Xcelsius you have.
For X2008, use Data - Export.
For CX4.5, Preview first. Then File - Snapshot - Back to Excel.

Is there a way to delete files locally, on iPad, after they have been backed up in iCloud, without losing any files? Because iCloud is seeming like it actually doesn't back up anything.. Just clogs up all storage space on every device with duplicate images/videos. I am looking for a delete when backed up feature. Does that exist?

You and Murray have both alluded to a separate "testing"
server. Perhaps I can make this system work by setting up the
testing server as a duplicate of the development server in my site
manager. Then I would have to manually publish the files from the

I can not believe that I am the only person in the world that has a
setup like this -- it seems very common to me. I would assume most
government organizations are set up identically as us.

Same problem for me: Since update to Lion my WLAN connection to my router (AVM fritz!box fon 7141) get's lost almost every time the computer is on idle for a couple of minutes. Deactivating and reactivating helps, but of course only until the problem occurs again.
BTW: I'm running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) on a iMac 27" 3.2 GHz i3 (mid 2010 model).
I'm really annoyed by this problem and looking forward for APPLES fix.

Rotated pictures come out blank after they have been exported.

Pictures scanned from Epson 700 photoscanner to i Photo looks fine in iPhoto. No problem editing in IPhoto, but the rotated pictures came out blank after they have been exported. The original picture is exported okay. I have tried all the repair options in iPhoto to no success.
Any suggestion how to fix the blank pictures or do I have to scann them all again?

No you don't. You can change the colour profile to sRGB with a script. Search this forum. Old Toad has one that he created and you can download it.

Photos showing in memory after they have been deleted

I have an iPhone 5s and have synced photos in iTunes to import my photos, and then deleted a few hundred pics.
Currently, my phone shows that I have 116 pictures, and 0 video - but when check usage, it shows 15.9GB still being used by photos.
I have connected the phone to my computer and in iTunes done a backup, and a restore iPhone. This did not correct the issue.
Anyone have any ideas on this?

Got to your Desktop folder in the Finder sidebar, command i will open the info pane.
What are your permissions here? Unlock the pad lock and Change to read write.
Are you experiencing other problems?

Preview: double-click doesn't open files AFTER they have been modified

Since a few weeks (maybe since I upgraded to OS 10.6.6 ?) Preview doesn't open files any more by double-clicking AFTER I have modified and saved them. They open when I drag them to the dock icon of Preview.
For instance, photos downloaded from a camera open by double-clicking them. However, if I rotate or crop them and then save, Preview doesn't open them any more but shows two subsequent error messages: (1) "The application can't be found", (2) "The operation can't be completed. An unexpected error occurred (error code -43)".
I found one workaround: when you close and reopen the folder in which these files are, they open again by double-clicking.
Quicklook works fine.
Looks like a bug in OS 10.6.6. Any other fixes?

In the Finder, select one of the image files you want to open with Preview. Choose "Get Info" from the contextual menu or the File menu. In the "Open with" section, choose Preview from the pulldown menu if it's not already selected. If it is selected, choose another application (any other), then re-select Preview. Click the "Change All" button and close the dialog.

My voice mail messages are not appearing as they are left. Often no voicemails show up until 4 weeks after they have been left

I am having trouble with my voice mail on the iPhone. The voicemails are not appearing until 3 even 4 weeks after they are left by a caller. Last night 10 voice messages came through all at once, one left before Thanksgiving. Is this an iPhone issue or an issue with the carrier?

I'm having the same issue. It began three or four days ago. I'd notice that I'd miss a call but the person wouldn't leave a message.
Two days later, suddenly three or four new voicemails will pop up from the past couple of days. The time stamp on the messages is correct-- it will show that the caller left the vmail a day or two before.
Also, in what has to be a related problem, some of the voicemails appear to be corrupted and cannot be played.
I have a 4s and my software is up-to-date. I have made no material changes to my phone, other than automatic software updates to explain this.
It's enormously frustrating and as a job seeker, I can't afford to miss voicemails. Does anyone know if this is the phone or the carrier (AT&T)?
Any help and input will be enormously appreciated.

Applications wont open after they have been opened once.

Hi. I have had this problem since i got the Mac Pro. Unless i open my applications as soon as i turn on the computer, i most likely will not be able to open them later. I also have a problem when after i have opened an application, i probably wont be able to open it again unless i restart. this happens with games and other programs like office for mac. anyone else having this problem and know of a way to fix it?

Your system sounds like you need to do more troubleshooting and maintenance.
Running Disk Utility to repair your drive and permissions. Check your drive's health and SMART status. Run Disk Warrior 4, too.
And clean out cache files and folders.
When I setup a drive, first thing I do is erase it with the zero-all option, then install and update.
Maybe you installed something that is interfering. Also, 2GB RAM helps.
Any 3rd party hardware like USB or anything?
More than 1GB RAM is essential, but you have something else, and need to provide more details probably. Also, run the Apple Hardware Test which is on Install Disk #1.

Why are e-mails (subject line) and ("to" line) still staying in bold print after they have been read?

After I read an e-mail, and after I hit the back space arrow, to look at my list of e-mails, the previously read e-mail still shows up in bold type. Usually when an e-mail is read, and you then look at your list of e-mails, the e-mails that have been read show up in light grey type so you can distinguish these e-mails from the ones that have not been read. Why is this happening? It is very difficult to remember which ones I have read when I am looking at over 100 unread e-mails.

Printing Purchase Orders after they have been created using BAPI_PO_CREATE1

We have a requirement to develop a Z program to to alloow certain users to create and print "special" dummy Purchase Orders (PO).
Using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 I have been able to create the PO no problem. But how on earth do you get them to physically print out ?
BAPI_PO_CREATE1 is meant to be an alternative to ME21N. In ME21N you can create a "PO message" which is actually a print output of the PO) and have it sent to the spool, depending on config. However, you can't use BDC with ME21N.
I expected the BAPI to have some sort of table/structure to pass print parameters that emulated ME21N's PO message, but there is none.
Anybody done this ?

Well, if you had your PO output configured to print immediately when the PO is created, then the BAPI call would result in a printout.
But if you don't want to always print a PO when a new document is created, you could set up a new output type for 'print immediately' and then attach a condition in the output configuration that checks if a certain criterion is met (so for instance if the PO was created via the BAPI), and only if this condition is met would the processing continue.
That way, you could keep the current PO output process (on request only), and have a conditional output that'd only be processed for POs created by the BAPI.

I keep loosing my home page tabs after a while after restarting FireFox. They have been saved in options.

All tabs have been set in options as home page, but at least once a day the home page tabs are removed and it goes back to default.
