Problem with Maintenance Optimizer - Solman EHP1

Hi All,
I have a solution manager 7.0 ehp1 system and maintenance optimizer does not work at all.
Initial configurarion and Basic configuration has been done - Tcode : Solman_Setup
A solution has been created and systems have been assigned to it, however when i launch create new maintenance
transaction it shows us the solution and the systems assigned under it.If i select our Production system and click on next
it comes up an error, saying the table does not contain any data. Do i need to do the SLM configuration for MOPZ to work?
Has anyone seen this error earlier. Any inputs would be of great help.

Hi,
Though the error does not give much insight. There are some warnings which tells that configuration has to be done
Please find the warnings attached in the email.
Not able to find an active SLM for selected managed systems
No configured SLM
No common SLM system is regsitered for Managed Systems
The system / systems - SID have not beed registered in SLM
Instance -type missing in SMSY for an application server instance of system .

I resolved my problem.
I activate from spro -> Initial Configuration II, then activate BC Set for mopz and now everything works fine.

Problem with Maintenance Optimizer...

Hello gurus,
I had a problem which I didn´t reached a solution...
When I create a new maintenance optimizer transaction and choose, on first step "Plan Maintenance", a type of Product Version I don´t have all systems which I configure on this Product Version on SMSY (System Landscape Directory).
For instance: I configure in SMSY the Product version (group) SAP ECC 6.0 which contains three systems DEV ; QAS ; PRD.
When I open/create a new maintenance optimizer transaction and choose the SAP ECC 6.0 I only see one system, the DEV system, within his, and I want to see all three systems which I configure in SMSY!
Help me please...! TKS

When I press in that URL - http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000679533& - does not appear anything about maintenance optimizer guide... it show me a notify "This folder needs to be reviewed" and I can´t see anything like you describe... I´m newest in SAP and still I have difficulties on search sometimes some things...
The link above, have you sure that's correct?
What´s the exactly name of document that you refer??

Patch confirm problem in maintenance optimizer.

Dear Experts,
i had configured solution manager maintenance optimizer.
previously while starting i had a problem with
and it was solved.
After, going in to Solution_manager in the selected solution,
i had selected the server and component, for which i need to download the
support package files and upgrade my application components.
and after selecting the required files,i'm able to see the selected files in download
basket manager.But, i'm not able to see the files in popup coming to confirm the
components.
i have no idea on what went wrong.
i got stuck up here, since after confirming the selected packages,it will go to
Perform imlementation and to END.
anyway i had saved the status.
i request you to give your inputs for solving the problem.
one warning i'm getting while starting "solution_manager"
is as follows:-
Profile parameter icm/host_name_full is not set correctly (see long text)

I think you need to set the profile parameter "icm/host_name_full" in rz10 T-Code
in instance profile it should in the following manner <b>"host name of your server.your company name.com"</b>
e.g.:mycomputer.mycompany.com

Error with Maintenance Optimizer in Solution Manager 4.0

Hi, I am configuring Solution Manager for download SP, I check marketplace and download the guide, when I try to download a SP following message show me:
"Change requests cannot be displayed or created, because the RFC connection has errors, or is not maintained.
Check whether the RFC connection to the Change Man agement system is under the key CHARM_DEST (APPLI field in the DESTINAT field), in the view BCOS_CUST. You need authorization for the cross-client view/table maintenance (S_TABU_DIS and S_TABU_CLI).
Check the RFC connection in the transaction SM59. If your SAP Solution Manager system is also your Change Manager system, the internal connection must be 'NONE'. You need authorization for the administration of RFC connections (S_RFC_ADM)."
I go to sm59, verify RFC SAP-OSS with correct data, I found at guide following Host :
/H/54.16.44.50/S/sapdp99/H/54.62.200.35/S/
When I try press Connection Test Buttom I can not connect to SAP.
Do you know which can be my error? .....

Steps to do before configre the maintance optimizer you need to configure sattilite systems in solution manager.
go to SMSY and configre R\3 systems.For these systems you need to create RFC connections and Logical comp.

Problem with Maintenance Manager

Hello,
I have a Lenovo T61 6457-E3G wth Windows XP. The Windows is updated on the last available version, and so the lenovo sofware too.
Weeks ago, the problem started:
When I shut down the computer the Lenovo task: "AWAYSCH" can't be closed by windows. (So I have to do that on my one by every shut down)
Also the Maintenance Manager can't be started (I pushed the Maintenance-Manager button, but the programm will not start, without a problem description).
Can some help me?

Seems "AwaySch.exe" does not support most T61s with Intel GM965 video chipsets. This could explain why the application will not launch.

Problems with NWDS 7.1 EHP1 and JPA persistence unit

In EJB project with JPA Facet Iu2019m working without any problem for several days. But, after two weeks, JPA plug-in of Eclipse is not working fine.
When I try to generate DDL Iu2019m getting the following error window: There isnu2019t a registered persistence unit in the project. But this is not true. Curiously sometimes it works fine.
Can any body has any suggestion for correcting this issue?

Hi,
I had the same problem and luckily stumbled upon the solution today.
1. File persistence.xml is located in /ejbModule/META-INF. Path /build/classes is empty.
2. Right-click on the DC/project and select "Properties".
3. In "JPA", change parameter "Platform" or "Connection", then restore the original value. The purpose is to set a dirty flag which will make the IDE generate the missing stuff in path build/classes.
4. A copy of resource branch META-INF and the .classes files will appear below /build.
5. Right-click on the DC/Project and select "JPA-Tools -> Generate DDL".
Please let me know if it works for you.

Problem with maintenance view

Hi All,
I' am creating a maintenance view. After creating it, I tried to see the data present in the view, it doesn't show and a message is coming which says 'No database view exists for the view'. Is database view need to be created and linked to maintenance view. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong.

Problem with MOPZ after implementing sp15

Hello Gurus,
after updating SolMan from sp12 to sp15 i got the following problem with maintenance optimizer, when i want to find some update for one system in
ta dswp->choose solution->operations->Change Management->Support Package Stacks-> Button Maintenance Optimizer
In Step 2 - automatic evaluation of download-data - I got the error:
Fehler | In Transaktion AISUSER wurden keine Kundennummern gefunden.
Translation:
error | In transaction AISUSER are none customernumbers (-id) be found
And now i don't get the real problem.
In AISUSER there are define the users, with theire id for oss. The column with SAP customernumbers (-id) are empty and not free to edit. When i open the datafield (maby called "choose selection") from one users sap customernumber (-id) there is the customernumber (-id) written from our company.
So, the customernumber of our company is in the datafields, but not visible first. Only when to choose an alternative it is visible.
I haven't the possibility to confirm this id, only to close the new opened window.
I don't find a sap note which descripe that problem.
Does anyone know how to go on?

Local logical system is not defined-Maintenance Optimizer Config

Hi,
When I try to configure Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager 7, it gives me an error saying "Local logical system is not defined"
But I have created a Logical client using SCC4.
And the other thing is for this created client, does not have any users on this client, If I run,
SQL> select bname, UFKLAG from sapsr3.usr02 where mandt='400';
Answer is "no rows selected"
So I cannot even login in to my new client as well. I tried with SAP/PASS no use. I tried to re-set sap by deleteing it nothing helped.
my login/no_automatic_user_sapstar parameter also have 0 (But this is in Red, I dont know why its like that)
Please help me to rectify both these issues. Issue with Maintenance Optimizer and loggin in to the new client.

First of all, 'Logical System' and 'Logical Client' are two different things.
For Client Problem:
You did create a client in SCC4.
1. did you create a logical system via BD54 and then did you assign that logical system to this newly created client ?
2. did you perform a local client copy to put data into this new client from an old or from a standard client like 000 ?
If you didn't perform above two things, then please do. Only then, you will be able to see some data in this client and will be able to to select statements, And, obviously the SAP*/PASS login (login/no_automatic_user_sapstar should be 0 after reactivation of profile and restart of the instance)
For MOpz issue:
Could you please search in sap marketplace for any particular note specific to MOpz ?

1) Create the system in solution manager (Tr.code-SMSY)
2) For this System to create the rfc destinations.
3) Create the logical component for system.
4) Maintain technical settings of OSS in the transaction code: OSS1
5) In TR code AISUSER maintain the user and OSS id
6) In DSWP transaction codeu2014in settings-global settings have to maintain OSS id and Password.
7)go to tr code DSWPu2014changemanagementu2014support packagesu2014click on maintenance optimizeru2014select the systemu2014continue-confirm files in download basketu2014complete transaction.

Maintenance Optimizer Configuration

Hello,
I have 2 issues with maintenance Optimizer. I am using Solution Manager Support Package 9. I applied the notes related to it including the 1024932 and 990534.
1. When i press the button Continue in step 1, I sometimes have a runtime error PXA_NO_FREE_SPACE. I read that I have to change the buffer size, but I don't know how i can do it.
2. When I don't have this runtime error, in the step 2 when i press the button Select files, it opens an error page "the page cannot be displayed".

For this you can ask to your BASIS Guy, If this server is test system, Then a simple restart will work in your condition.

SAP Maintenance Optimizer without saprouter

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to approve patches without connection to SAP via saprouter?
We have a strong security policies and we have not a possibility to use saprouter for connection to SAP. We installed and customized Solution Manager 4.0 and we want only approve our basket on SAP Market Place. Is it possible or not?

1. Customer logs on to SAP Service Marketplace from a PC. This may be done in an environment even without connection to SAP Solution Manager.
2. Customer adds all required files to the download basket.
3. Customer then changes to a PC with connection to SAP Solution Manager and confirms the download of the data. For more information about secure RFC connection please refer to IMG in SAP Solution Manager.
4. The files are available for download and can be downloaded from the PC with a connection to the SAP Service Marketplace.

Hi Sunil,
EhP1 for Solution Manager means you have at least SPS18. Therefore documentation based on EhP1 is still valid, although Maintenance Optimizer has been updated as of SPS22+
