Problem with marquee starting box below crosshair

Does anyone have this problem ?
Sometimes, randomly it seems, when I use the marquee tool, the box starts below the crosshair by about half 10 centimeters.
it's really annoying.
did i accidently press a shortcut ?
it remembers to mess it up everytime i open that particular psd file, and if i start another one it goes back to normal.
too wierd.
anyone have this problem or know how to solve it please ?

This happens when you start a new document in full screen mode. Its a bug.
either create new documents with full screen mode turned off or cycle through screenmodes with the F Key.

Problems with Instant start of QT video placed on iWeb site

I'm trying to use video on my .mac web site using iWeb but have been unable to export a file that will start immediately when the page launches. I have gone through a check list of all the things I've read on this group and others, but the only way these files will play on the web is by manually pressing the start button below the quick time file. I get the big blue Q for just a second and then the first frame of the video, I can then press the play button and it will start and continue to play without any problems, but it just won't start by itself.
So far I have:
exported the file in Quicktime Pro 7.16 using H.264 encoding
checked off the "prepare for Internet Streaming" box
Once the file is exported I have also opened it in Quicktime Pro, and in the Window menu gone to "show movie properties" and checked off the "Automatically play movie when opened" box under the presentation tab.
I've saved this file in the movie folder on my mac.
In iWeb, i've dragge this movie to my page and published it.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had success getting their movies to play automatically in iWeb. I wouldn't even mind if I had to wait a few seconds in order for the file to load the cache a bit --- but it won't play at all unless you click on the play triangle in the movie controller.

The default iWeb export uses autoplay="false" in the .js file it creates.
This means a page visitor must press the "play" button on the QuickTime controller to initiate playback (even though your file is downloading in the background).
If you're brave enough to try you can edit the javascript file (.js) made by iWeb and simply change "false" to "true".
This edit can be made with any plain text editor (TextEdit set to "plain text").
Open your iDisk/Web/iWeb folder and find your page (name of folder). Inside it (blah_files folder) you'll find a .js file that you can open with a right click (choose TextEdit). In all of the gobbly gook you see is a line that says autoplay="false". Change it to "true" (must keep the "" around the word) and "Save".
Try your page again and see if it now starts playing as it downloads.

Secure printing problems with the dialog box

Some one which has problem with the scure dialog box then using secure printing?
then we print in Adobe acrobat reader X 10.0.1 the dialog box for entring your pin nummer appearing under acrobat, causeing the program to locking until you go to the dialog box and clicking on it and enter the pin. The problem is that adobe not showing the dialog box in front of the printing overall dialog.
had nog problem with the old 9, it started then we uppgraded. Haw tride a nother driver but haw same issue. And all other programs works greate, word, notepat etc so it is just Adobe that has the problem.. ?

Its´s XP sp3 and the printer is a network printer(Toshiba e-studio 4520c) running a PCL6 driver.
Screen capture is not so much to see i think, running Swedish interface to. The ordinary dialogbox för printing is the first thing thats pops up, and then adobe reader frezes because the secund box pops up under adobe, you can click on it in the "toolbar" to continue. One thing that is diffrent when you print in adobe is that you can se on the "toolbar" for the popup box for the pin/password box is a Adobe icon on it. It is not so in example when printing in word, ie8 etc.
The problem is that many users dont see it and thinks the program has stopt working.
Im now going to try the PS driver from toshibas homepage..

Infoview problems with 3+ users - BOXI 3.1

We install BOXI R3 for our client and provide them with a universe to report on our product. We have recently been experiencing problems with BOXI R3 using Webi when running training sessions. Here is the problem!:-
Three named users logged in (Jof, kerenf, marks), created three queries (all the same), ran fine, no issues.
Went back into query panel added extra objects, ran queries, again no errors.
Asked users to click on the new report icon, all got the message
'do you want to navigate away from this report', all clicked yes, one failed (ie did nothing) and returned to the same report screen (Jof).
Did not allow that user to create a new report.
Went back to document list, created a new web intelligence document, 2 succeeded, one got stuck halfway through the launching new document screen (jof) - just hangsat 'building user interface'
Logged into infoview through a different machine, again as Jof (with the other two still logged in)
Navigated back to document list, then created a new web intelligence document, added Personal reference, surname, forename, *** and NI number ran the report - all ok.
Then asked trainees to go back into the query (edit query). Two were successful, (JOf & Marks) the third was not (kerenf) it just hung at that stage
Got all users to log out of machine and re-login, to hopefully refresh each machine (start afresh)
Got all five individuals to all login at the same time, which is where the real errors occurred. Navigated to document list , new-->web intelligence document, then chose the universe Universe.
Two people (Christinew and Michaelw) got the error message "An internal error occurred while calling 'createDocument'API. (Error:ERR_WIS32070". This meant that nothing more could be done
by way of creating new documents, a third (kerenf) new document launch bar got halfway through and hung!
Got everyone to log out of infoview and out of windows. Checked the CMC, only one session left running (the administrator using CMC).
Got one idividual (michaelw) to log back into infoview. new web intelligence document, chose the universe and it again hung halfway through the new document launch panel.
Got trainees to logoff, so no-one was near infoview.
Restarted the Server Intelligence Agent in the Central Configuration Manager
Restarted the Tomcat Service in the CCM
Restarted the CentralManagementServer in the servers area of the central Management console
Started individually logging on, running a report, editing the query, adding more objects, then creating a new report (from within the web intelligence document). Two were successfull, (JOf, kerenf), but when the thrid attempted it (Marks) it got halfway through the launching new document screen and crahsed out of windows internet explorer (it just closed entirely with no message)
So ... does anyone please have any ideas where I can start with investigating this problem? Is it a Java problem? Installation problem? likely bug??

I am also in the same boat with error 8247...tried everything I could think of last night, then gave up thinking maybe it was on the other end and would try in the morning. I am getting the same result today as well. The part that's making me more frustrated is that none of the apps that I downloaded will open anymore, but I'm still getting my email and able to browse the internet.

I've got a mac pro problem with the starting up, but also a red light on the logic board solidly on. Its not among the diagnostic led. It's located near the BT adapter and the front fans. Also the fans run loud also. any solutions?

I've got a mac pro late 2006, and i am having problem with it for quite a while now. the problem i am facing is the start up process, and the red light on the logic board. Earlier I've got the two led on the diagnostic leds 5 and 6 turned on without the diagnostic button being pressed, and i think those are related to the processors overtemp. I've managed to solve that by, removing the processors and re applying the thermal compound on the heatsink. what i have left now with is the red light on the logic board at the time i plugged in the power. At the same time when this light come on, the power indicator at the front panel come on as well. i am not sure what is this light relates to. We've replace the power supply too, and gone through the SMC reset but seems no help.
Any idea on the problem? I am desperate about it, and i will be greatful if anyone can help..

Wierd problem with web start in windows 7

I have a wierd problem with my web start app in windows 7, it just hang it self. it work fine in windows XP and Vista.
The wierd thing is that i can open the app but when i press on a specific button that will make a jlabel present a .png image everthing crash. why do i get this problem now? when i start the app, i load some pic i jlabels and that seems to work fine, but when i do it under the exection it seems to crash, why?
Should i do something different to make the app work in windows 7?
I hope someone can help me out!!

You should:
a) open the console (java control panel, advanced options) and see the stackTrace (if any). If it's not there check for swallowing.
b) post a code snippet, to at least show how and where you retrieve the png. Possibly a SSCCE.
c) check if this happens also running as a standalone app (may be more Swing-related than JWS-related).

From what I gather it seems that some files are missing (AS3.h) which is why the errors and warnings are caused... is there anything I have to do to get that file
If anyone can help explain whats wrong and how to fix the problem it will be greatly appreciated

Problem with jpg & text box links???? HELP!!!!!!!

I have a perplexing problem with creating some links. I created a button using the shapes tools, I use the command/shift/4 to capture the image I created, I go to photoshop, edit it, then save it as a jpeg, put it into my site, make it a link, publish the site .... then nothing. The link won't work. Any other jpeg image i put in easily converts to a link if I desire, why won't this?
Also, I have read on here that you can use a transparent text box over text to create a link without having to convert the actual text and get the annoying underline, etc. that come with it. Any idea how to do this?

The process that you describe should work exactly like that. I'm not sure what the issue is with those buttons. Do you have a URL where we can take a look at one of these buttons? It may be that they are getting obscured by something else maybe?

This is true. You can always overlay a SHAPE and change its opacity in the Inspector Graphics tab to 1% in order to make it transparent. It has to be 1% or more, though...zero doesn't work. Also, if the text that you want hyperlinked or hotspotted is in a textbox all by itself, then you can also attach the hyperlink to the textbox itself instead of selecting the text in the textbox. That will also avoid the underline....but it works only if the text is in a textbox all by itself.

Problem with LCG Juke box

I'm using LCG Juke box 2.17 in my N73 M mobile
But i face some problem with it...
1) showing a blue screen with some error and no key is working then
2)when i'm using this minimized and after the no key in mobile works. and i need to switch off my mobile
Plz suggest me how to solve this problem
And if possible suggest me another good music player with the following features...
#equlizer
#fast forward and rewind function
#does not hamper the defauly music player of my mobile
#dont make mobile soooooooooo slow
#can play mp3

Did you bought it legally? Cracked version has blue screen problem. If it's legall than lonelycatgames support will surely help you.

Is anyone having problems with the Iphone 4 start button not working

What is the start button?
Do you mean the on/off button, or the Home button?
If either one is not working at all, more than likely there is a hardware problem.

If you have problems with Yahoo, start FF4 in safe mode and see if it works. If yes, you have a problem with one of your add-ons.

Apparently some of your "good" add-ons do not work right with FF4. If you have a problem with YAHOO MAIL, start FF4 in Safe Mode (Restart with add-ons disabled from the Help menu). Then try your Yahoo again. If everything works, then the problem is with one of your add-ons. You can selectively work out which add-on is the problem. For a lot of these user problems, this should help... worth a try anyway.

11g problem with Win7 starter

Taking a class and the book came with Oracle 11g DVD. Tried to load it onto my laptop and get an error when checking the operating system. The error is something like "expecting 5.0, 5.1, or 6.0 received 6.1" which I am assuming refers to Win7 vs vista/xp etc... Is there a way I can tell from the DVD 11g version # (afraid I don't have it in front of me now) which version of 11g came with the book and which version file(s) I should download from Oracle to run with Win7 starter?

Ok, I get that its certified for Pro and Ultimate (which I don't think I can run on my netbook I use for homework), but I think I veered the conversation away from my original point. The version of Oracle 11g which came with my textbook says it will run on win2k, winXP, and Vista but craps out when trying to load onto Win7. The version of Oracle (to best of my recollection, as I don't have the disc in front of me is 11.0.1.something).
I guess my big question is would this version load on Win7 pro or do I need a newer version of Oracle that will load onto Win7? If I do need a new version in order to load on Win7, how can I tell which flavor of Oracle I have on my DVD - the free version, the next one up with a student license???
Worst case scenario, I load it onto my desktop that is still running XP, but I would like to be able to take it with me on the netbook to do my homework whenever I find time.
