Problem with mcbook retina charger

i have problem with my mcbook retina charger. it is not recognised. The light didnt show up. Also ive tried cleaning tge pin area. But still, it didny work. Since my mcbook has run out of battery, i couldnt set the tge SMC thing. Are they any suggestions?

It could one of three issue, the cable, the charger, or the iPad. I'd take it into the Apple Store if you have one near you. If you have additional cables and chargers, swap them out and determint which is causing the issue.

Problems with original wall charger

I have problem with my wall charger. It can't charge my iphone, however it can charge without problems other iphones. My iphone can charge via notebook. Anyone have similar problem? Software is 2.0, iPhone is 2G.

My PlayBook charger works flawless with my Torches, 9700, 8520, HS 500, HS 700, VM 605.
If its wonky with two of them, might be the charger.

Intermittent problems with iphone 3g "charging not supported"

I notice quite a few complaints about intermittent 'charging not supported' messages.
I have been getting the same message on my iphone 3g.
I have ELIMINATED the cord and plug as the problem in this case by the following method:
I found that by LOWERING the line voltage to the charger with a variac, I could get rid of the message RELIABLY for a period of time.
By turning the variac off and on, and by varing the voltage setting, I can reproduceably get either charging or 'charging not supported'.
Since there are no changes being made in the connections to the phone and charger, I eliminate them as causing to the problem.
I suspect a deteriorating component in the charger is reporting some kind of error to the phone via some communications channel.
I have not tried opening the charger, but if and when it finally dies, I will do so.
This morning, the charger worked with the variac set to 80 volts.
Anyone on the design team around that can suggest other tests?

The unit finally failed and I opened it up. It appears to consist of an AC-->dc converter with suitable filters and regulators and a small computer that probably talks via I2C or a similar protocol to the iphone.
I suspect that components are defective and the output voltage is outside the range it thinks it should be or some problems with the communications cause it to send an erronious message in response to the query sent by the iphone. I did NOT see any obviously bulging electrolytic capacitors, but I did not test for high ESR and I suspect that is the problem.
A 'off brand' AC Charger of iPod and iPhone from Radio Shack works fine while BOTH authentic APPLE iphone 'tiny cube' chargers are going for recycling.
Software fixes may cause the iphone to either keep trying until it gets the right response or ignore the erronious responses.

Problems with laptop when charging!

I noticed that this might be a common problem with HP model. I have been trying to make my laptop (Pavilion dv7, bought less then a year ago) to work as it used before for a week now and still can't manage.
It seems that the Laptop is not charged, if switched on, and battery is empty (less or equal to 9% of charge). However when I turn it off, after some time (IMPORTANT: not immediately after), it starts charging.
However I noticed that Battery does get charged when it is still 75% charged. This happens even when doing heavy duty work (Power Plan set to High Performance, 1 Virtual Machine running, 20 YouTube videos, and Playing DVD).
I tired all tricks in the book (un-install battery driver and re-install it [done automatically from Windows7], Remove battery when switched off, turn it on with only adapter, switch it off again, attach battery and plug in adapter, etc). However although these seem to work once ot twice, the problem always re-appears!
Personally I still can't figure if this is a software or hardware problem! I do not thing the battery has any problems since after it is charged, without any the adapter it gives me full 2 hours of heavy duty work (Virtual Machines, Streaming Videos, etc). Also the battery check tells me that the battery health is “Good”, which means it should be charging correctly.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?

I did as you suggested. I allowed the battery to drain (10% charged) and connected the adapter. As usual it did not want to charge. At this stage (that is what adapter connector but battery not charging) I did a battery health test using HP Support Assistance installed on Windows7 by default. This told me that battery should be replaced and gave me a warranty id.
After this I downloaded the system BIOS by downloading it from the HP Support & Drivers site (http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support_task.html). After this (with the adapter connected) I installed the new BIOS driver. This when ready restarted the computer. I turned the computer on again to confirm that the correct version of the BIOS was installed. Note that at this stage the battery still did not start to charge and therefore I turned the computer off and followed the steps given above to hard reset the battery. When I inserted the battery and connected the adapter the battery started to charge immediately. After turning on the computer I did a battery health test and this time the test said that battery health was good.
I then waited until battery was fully charged and allowed it to drain up to 10%. Again when I connected the adapter the battery did not charge and in Windows 7 it tells me “plugged in, not charging”. If I do a battery test at this point (adapter connector but battery not charging) I get the message that battery has to be replaced and I am given the warranty id.
Is there anything else I can try!?

Problems with iMac retina 5K (artifacts, glitches and etc.)

Hello dear Apple.
I have bought new iMac with retina 5K display and I have found lot of problem with it. It was December 2014 when I got my first iMac. And after then I have found few real problems with it.
The first problem is I can't open high resolution image with standard Preview.app. I mean 'high resolution' - more then 30-40 megapixels. When I open them, I can see image, but only 2-3 seconds, and after that I see horizontal artifacts only. I can't open images, like this Rembrandt.jpg; Carpaccio.jpg; Holbein.jpg
The second problem, when I change resolution in to scaled mode (System Preferences/Display) for increase image on display. I found when select some area on background of desktop it has left some lines after itself. It is particularly unpleasant if you have plain colour desktop background. You can view, how does it look here.
The next problem with animation in different parts of interface, e.g. sometimes when I open Time Machine some parts of windows are freezing or appear some artifacts or glitches near borders of window. And I have the same situation, when I open Mission Control, or any Adobe app or other, or simply rename a files. I have found few discussions with problems like mine, but in the separate places

And after that I want to tell you that I have this problems on four (4) iMacs. It was really difficult to arrange four replace. I have lost a lot of time an spent a lot of nerves for discuss and resolve my problems with Apple support. Finally, they told me that they do not know about problems with iMacs, and they could offer give my money back. I glad to get my funds, but now in my country price for iMacs has doubled. And if they refund my money, I can buy half new iMac only.
I am sorry for my language and style, but I do not know what I should doing with that. And should I hope, that my problem resolve with OS X updates? Or it is hardware problem of the whole iMacs 5K...

Yes Ralph, absolutely correct, 4 times. Do you have the graphic card the same as me, or m290? Could I ask you check your iMac for few things, please?
For the first, can you enlarge scale in System preference/Display and install plain dark color desktop background. Are there any footprints after rectangular selection like in my video https://youtu.be/dBglFvjJx1Q?

TS2634 Problem with original sync / charge cabel

Hello. I have problem with my original sync / charge cabel. I have two ipod touches. 1st and 4th generation. From start my cable works great with my 4thG iPod but when I charge 1stG iPod several times then my 4thG iPod said that accessory is not supported. Now on 1stG it's working fine but I am not able to charge my 4thG iPod. Help me with this.

Have you tried another cable?
Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.

SEVERE Problems with Unauthorized iTunes Charges

Hi, I am getting bombarded with charges from iTunes for apps and music for my iPad that I didn't purchase. 4 charges today for nearly $200 and counting. These flow through PayPal to my credit card; not good. Worse yet, there doesn't seem to be any way in iTunes to dispute these charges or even tell them they have a problem. What do I do? Thanks!

I had the same problem last week - woke up to a charge of 40 and change, and another one of 50 even - all applications and over half of them in Japanese.
I called PayPal and they immediately put it into dispute, but they did have to take my money out of my account first before they could "refund" it.
I would change your account information and take your credit card off your account - use a gift card for now for purchases.
PayPal told me when I called that they've been having a LOT of problems with this - until Apple steps up their security I'm not going to rely on them using my payment information.

Do you have the very latest version of Google Chrome? There were some problems with it and the rMBP when it first came out...

Problems With MBP Retina Display late '13

I Have some problems with my mbp:
-I Can't use bluetooth because wifi stop work, it's impossible to surf the internet.
-Raw and Jpeg preview too slow.
-Mail problems every time I open it.
-Music stop when I use lightroom.
-I had send 4 times the computer to SAT and APPLE don't give me a solution.
Any recommendation.

thanks! yeah i recorded it so i hope they will take the problem more seriously.
Unfortunately i don't have an applecare protection plan, but i hope that the proof that i've been in an apple store for the same issue already in april will help me somehow.
I also think that when i touch with my hand both chassis and display i make some connection working again. Maybe i'm the radioactive man, or i have some special powers...or for the first time time in my life i bought a bugged apple product. But i think is more possible one of the first two options!

Problem with Free of Charge Sale Returns against Cost Center

Dear All,
The problem is related to Free Sales which is as follows -
I have issued free of charge against Cost Center & now I want to know whether any process is there or configurations can be done to return the free of charge issued goods along with the cost center. As in the order in header level while doing return the cost center is not getting reflected.Again in the outbound delivery creation mode also at the item detail level under the "Financial Processing" tab the cost center field is present but it is greyed out/ inactive.
Please suggest what are the configurations needed to create returns of the Free Of Charge goods against Cost Center.

First of all thanks for your help.As per your suggestion I have maintained the Cost Center against the Order Reason in OVF3 and it is getting reflected in the Sales Order but whenever I am keeping the field of Cost Center blank in OVF3 the "Cost Center " is remaining inactive & not even displayed in Sales Order.Instead the system is asking for WBS element.
Now I want to know is there any configuration possible so that the Cost Center field will be reflected in either Sales or Delivery Order as blank space & not greyed out which will be filled up manually.
Plesae suggest.

Problem with Free-of-Charge Sales

Dear All,
The problem is with the document flow of free-of-charge sales where although I am using standard Item Category KLN still after completion of the Sales Process till invoicing the status is showing " Being Processed" against Free-of- Charge Sales Order & "Completed" against Delivery, PGI & Invoice.
How can I change the status to "Completed" against Sales Order also?

Check the schedule line category whether it is marked as item relevant for delivery,remove the check box and try.

Problem with Zen after charging on power soc

hey everybody,
i charged my Zen with a usb adapter on a power socket, it worked well, but after that it is not recognized by my computer anymore. it charges well, but i can't access it. maybe now it *thinks* that it is connected to a socket and not to a computer? what can I do? has? anyone the same problem?

If you haven't already you should try to reset it via the tiny reset hole (use a paperclip or other suitable small instrument). I've had my Zen inexplicably hang with a black screen when connecting and disconnecting the USB plug (both to a computer and a simple USB charger).
I think it unlikely you've fried anything by hooking it up to a USB charger in good working order. The power parameters of USB devices are well-defined and USB chargers tend to be pretty interchangeable because of it. The risk is accidentally using a charger for some crazy device whose designers decide to use a USB-style connector as a convenience for themselves while the device/charger don't conform to USB wiring or specs. Then its anyone's guess what will happen.
I'd speculate the biggest electrical risk to the Zen is accidentally zapping it with static electricity through the metal tip of the USB connector while plugging it in.

Multiple problems with new retina iMac. Suspect graphics driver

New retina IMac, top spec, with latest Yosemite, and additional Cinema Display attached. Having multiple problems which I suspect are being caused by the graphics driver:
The long running issue with Adobe PS whereby under certain size options the tools cursor disappears and just has the arrow cursor.
With no warning, after doing an action such as opening an application the system reverts immediately to the login screen and does not show me as logged in.
After switching users, a blank screen other than the cursor is shown. Seems I have to power off to get past this one.
Can anybody shed any light on any of these, at least so that I can discount my theory of a single culprit?

So I went onto the Adobe forums and found a number of threads on this subject. A staff member replied with the following:
It's a video card driver bug introduced in MacOS 10.10 (which looks a lot like an old bug they fixed in 10.9).
Apple is aware of this, and the other video driver issues in 10.10, and working on solutions.
So thanks to Adobe we now know.
