Problem with multiplied library in GRR3

Hello,
We have problem with GRR3 shortdump after running this T_code. After performing trace, it showed that problem are multiplied libraries in report painter. Namely, during import of RP update via GR58 somehow library ZCS is doubled and program have short dump because of it.....Strange is because such a behaviouir is not present in test system.
In order to delete library, first i have to delete all report/r.groups which are connected to it(over 100).... I tried with first report/r.group and succeed. Problem is because i expected that this report will be available becuse it is doubled but no such a case. Now, i am affraid that when i delete all report/r.groups and finally library, it will delete not one but both libraries and those reports will be not present anymore.
Did somebody have same case and advice regarding it for me?
Thanks.
Predrag.

What about this problem?. Have you seen the tool panel?. Is too high. What can be the problem?. Best regards.

  • Problems with Aperture Library

My iMac crashed as I was importing some pictures. When I restarted it said there was a problem with the library and it needed to be repaired. After the repair I find that when I open Aperture I get an error message:There was an error opening the database for the library “/Users/samswallow/Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary”. I quit that and Aperture closes.  I have reinstalled Aperture and it makes no difference. All my photos are still there in Aperture Library Masters and can be seen in Preview. I would value any help on this.

Did you do a repair or a rebuild?  And did the action complete normally?
I would do the permissions repair then the library repair again and if you still get the errors do the rebuild. Note before doing the rebuild you should have a backup of your library. While it rarely happens rebuilds can make things worst.

  • Problems with itunes library and order of tracks

    Hello,
I downloaded the new update, and I'm having a problem with my library when accessed from the browser. Before itunes 7, my tracks were in order that they appeared on the album, now they are in alphabetical order. Is there a way to make it go back the way it was before the update--in order by track number?
    thanks.
    chris

I was having the same problem and I knew there had to be an easy answer. I knew it for sure when I saw your topic unanswered. Just right click, or control click on the bar where it says name, album, genre, etc. and select "track number," this will give you the option to put them in their original order.
You can also access this under "view options" in the view pull down menu.

  • Problems with my library! URGENT!

    Hi guys,
So I've been running my library from my External Hard drive and I never have any problems with it. Today I opened my iTunes and tried to play a song and it said it could not be located. I located it and I thought it would automatically locate all my songs after locating one. However, it made me locate one by one which I've never come across before.
I went to preferences and advanced to make sure the location of the iTunes library was the external however it suddenly said C:Documents/My Music/iTunes/iTunes music. I never changed that and I don't know how it got changed all of a sudden. I figured if I set it back to the external harddrive it would work but again, it made me locate each song one my one. I don't know why its doing this, my XML file is still there and everything. After setting the location back to my external hard drive I tried adding a song to it to see where it would store and it went to My Documents/My Music.... Every tiem I re-open my iTunes the setting changes back to My Documents/ My music. I've been using iTunes from my external hard drive since the end of August and I have never came across this problem.
Does anyone know what I can do? I don't want to have to locate each song one my one, nor do I want to delete everything and re-add everything to my library as it will ruin playcounts, delete playlists etc. What can I do?
    Thanks in advance!

Use Windows Device Manager to set it back to F:
These directions are for an ipod but will work for an exHD, too:

Change the drive letter while itunes is closed. When you reopen itunes all the file paths should be OK.

  • IPhoto performance problems with large library

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro Retina (2013 model) with top-of-line options. The hardware specs are 2.6Ghz Core i7 (8 cores), 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and OS X 10.9.1 (Mavericks).
The machine came with iPhoto 11 (v9.5.1). I successfully ported my iPhoto library from my old MacBook Pro to the new machine. The iPhoto library is about 550 GB on disk, and consists of about 2000 Events, 95000 Photos, and about 50 Albums & Smart Albums. The images in the library are a mix of JPEG, RAW and other content types such as MOV and AVI etc.
I have measured the performance of the internal SSD with tools like Black Magic and seen read & write speeds in excess of 850 MB/sec (obviously sequential). This is the fastest disk performance of any machine I've ever worked on, so I question whether iPhoto is slow because of this.
Despite the formidable hardware resources of this machine (proven running other workloads), iPhoto still behaves like a dog with my library. Opening iPhoto takes about 10 seconds to get to the first screen. Deleting a bunch of photos will result in a spinning disc for about 10-15 seconds while the images move to the Trash. Emptying the trash with 500-1000 photos takes about 15 minutes. Reorganizing events can take up to 30 seconds. Even browsing from photo to photo incurs lags of several seconds. This lack of response time makes the sw frustrating if not impossible to use efficiently.
During all these delays I have monitored system perfromance with various tools like Activity Monitor and iStat Menus. The odd thing is that when iPhoto is spinning its disc I am not seeing any kind of system resource bottleneck. In other worlds, CPU is barely utilized on any of the 8 cores, disk IO is minimal, and there is zero network IO. To ensure maximum RAM utilization, I run iPhoto after a fresh reboot and do not launch any other apps while it's running. For the life of me I cannot imagine what iPhoto is doing.
I have also tried several of the library recover / rebuild options as well, but no problems were reported with the library and performance did not improve.
I am considering upgrading to Aperture, but I wonder if both these solutions have serious design limitations when working on large libraries, which result in significant performance issues.
I would be interested in learning what experience other users have when working on iPhoto libraries of similar size.
    Summary:
iPhoto library size on disk: 550 GB
    Events: approx 2,000
    Photos: approx 95,000
Albums & Smart Albums: approx 100
    Regards,
    Nico

Hi Léonie, All the sw is at latest update. The library was simply copied from the old machine to the new machine. When I launched the new version of iPhoto (on the new machine) I pointed it to the copied iPhoto library and it picked it up without any issue. The first time I opened it, iPhoto spent some time migrating the data format from the old iPhoto version to the new, but that was done only once. I am not sharing the library between the old iPhoto and new; now the migrated library is for the exclusive use of the new iPhoto.
Regarding error messages in syslog, it's quite funny, I do see them, and they reflect the fact that iPhoto has gone off to la-la land for extended periods of time, ignoring all user input (this is what results in the spinning disc in Mac OS):
1/28/14 9:16:18.792 PM WindowServer[127]: disable_update_timeout: UI updates were forcibly disabled by application "iPhoto" for over 1.00 seconds. Server has re-enabled them.
1/28/14 9:16:20.926 PM WindowServer[127]: common_reenable_update: UI updates were finally reenabled by application "iPhoto" after 3.13 seconds (server forcibly re-enabled them after 1.00 seconds)
So that was a common 3 second "hang" of iPhoto. Nothing apart from those kinds of messages.
Thanks for the links to iStat... i do in fact have the latest version of it and don't have that problem with Mavericks.

  • Problem with concurrency library in Mac

    Hi!
I'm having a bit of a problem with my first java development (hence I post in this forum). Just as general info, it is an applet that does ftp upload, which uses the apache library. Now, the problem I have stems from the fact that I implemented it with SwingWorker, and thus it uses concurrency. I developed the applet in a Windows environment using JBuilder 2007, and I got everything working just fine in Windows - it tested 100% great. Now, Mac doesn't want to cooperate :( for some reason. It gives me a DefClassNotFoundError for java.util.concurrent.RunnableFuture, and I presume the same applies to all the concurrent subclasses. Digging a bit on the net I found the jsr166 library and tried including it in the list of loaded jars, but then I got a "prohibited package" error. Just out of curiosity I looked this one up and learned that you can't do that 'cause the vm doesn't accept any package starting with "java" - security issues, which sounds good... but doesn't help me solve the problem. Right now I'm a bit stuck with this... Anybody?
    Thanks in advance,
    J

Thanks for your answer. I'm running version 5 on the test Mac, and unfortunately can't upgrade to v6 because it's running OS 10.4.11 (as are most mac's at my client's, the intended target), and the only upgrade available is for 10.5
Now, what strikes me as very odd is that concurrency wouldn't be present in earlier-then-6 versions of the Mac vm - I mean, it's not exactly "the latest development in the java universe" or anything like that. I'm sure there is something else which I'm obviously missing.

  • Apparent problem with FCPX Library Backups storage

Will appreciate any thoughts about the following apparent issue with FCPX library backups.  Have been working for several hours in two newly created FCPX libraries to handle two new F55 filming projects.  Each library, regarding its respective FCPX-assigned Storage Location settings, has been positively set to place/store library backup data in a specifically chosen folder called Final Cut Pro Backups which sits in the Movies folder on my main hard drive. Notwithstanding this set of established data storage conditions, and continuous activity in FCPX for several hours, there is absolutely nothing regarding these libraries stored in the Backups folder, or anywhere else that I can detect. Any ideas about what is going on? Jon

    Hi Hejeefasd
you are not referencing the library properly. you should add these libraries by right Clicking on a Reference and Select Add reference and search for these library and add them into your project..
I hope your problem will be solved
    Thanks

  • Problems with my library...

I am having issues with my library right now. I am pretty sure that it is my fault, and I hope that I can fix it.
In the heat of deleting unused files, I deleted certain files from my iPhoto library. Then when I scanned through my photos, some were coming up as thumbnails, but when clicked on, a grey screen with a question mark came up. It seems like I solved this by rebuilding my iPhoto library as in this link: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2638 (the automatic rebuild didn't work, but I used the manual rebuild and I now have all my pictures back (the order is just all messed up).
But, my current problem is that I took quite a few videos along with the pictures. When the first issue with the grey "?" was happening, some videos wouldn't open. Now, none of my videos are coming up in IPhoto at all. There are not even any thumbnails.
How can I find those videos, let alone put them back into my iPhoto library? I like to look through my photos and find a video that was taken from that same time...

Did you recover the Video files from the original damaged library?
    Regards
    TD

  • Problems with Podcasts & Library Adds

I'm having two problems, and I'm guessing they're related.
On my Quicksilver tower, with OS 10.4.11 and iTunes 7.6, I've had a hard time adding MPG-4 videos and MP3 audio to my Library. The files just aren't recognized no matter how many times I tried to add them. I had the same problem with my previous version of iTunes, which might have been iTunes 7.5. I figured an install of the newest iTunes would solve the problem, but it still exists.
On the same configuration, I'm having problems with subscribed podcasts. Some podcasts come through as subscribed, but I haven't been able to download certain podcasts, specifically videos from Lynda.com. When I was at MacWorld, I asked representatives of Lynda.com if others had this problem, but I guess I was the only one.
On my Powerbook G4, running OS 10.4.10, iTunes 7.3.1, I have no problems with the podcasts or adding files.
    Solutions anyone?
On a similar note, does anyone know why my video iPod won't play certain MPG-4 files? What are the spec requirements?

So far, nobody on the Apple forum has provided me with ANY feedback. Luckily, I'm getting some feedback on MacFixitForums.
    Maybe it's a Quicktime problem?
The "GOOD" computer configuration has QT 7.2 with iTunes 7.3.1.
The "BAD" computer configuration has QT 7.4 with iTunes 7.6.
All my MPEG-4 clips were converted with either iSquint or Visual Hub.
Now... how to fix the problem....??? Can I even download the old versions of QT & iTunes?

  • Problems with /Network/Library/Fonts/ automount

Okay, so I am having problems with setting up a /Network/Library/Fonts/ automount in order to share a master set of fonts among designers.
I created a folder on our XServe RAID volume called "Shared Libraries". Inside it, I created a folder called "Fonts" and installed some test fonts. So the path is /Shared Libraries/Fonts.
I went to Workgroup Manager, I enabled Sharing for "Shared Libraries". Privileges for Everyone are set to Read Only. it is set to Share this item Using AFP. Guest access is enabled. I enable Network Mounting of this share point via AFP, and I set it to Use for Shared Library.
So, I restart the client. I login, I go to Network, then Libraries, and my fonts folder shows up.
HOWEVER, when I go to FontBook, it shows Network with "OFF" next to it. None of my fonts are displayed. I right click on Network and select Enable Network, and nothing happens. None of my fonts show up.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Am I missing a step?
    Thanks!
    Tyler

Figured out the problem - PRivileges need to be set to READ AND WRITE. Made the change, and all is well.

  • Problems with iphoto library

I'm having problems with duplicate photo's showing up in my iphoto library. first of all how do i get rid of them. can i just go through them all and delete the dupes without them returning. second what caused them? i also have a few questions in how to use iphoto in general. how do i import existing photos to my iphoto library. if i have a folder of pictures and add it to my library, iphoto makes a copy of them in the iphoto library folder right? does that mean that after they get imported i can delete the original folder to avoid duplicates? also, say i have a folder named my pictures or imported into the iphoto library, if i add a few pictures to that my pictures folder, how do i add only those new pictures to the iphoto library? do i just add the whole folder again, and iphoto will know which ones are already there and which are new? oh and by the way, i messed up and moved stuff around in my iphoto library directory before knowing any better.

--First thing to know and remember is this...Do not drag any images, folder of images into the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Images have to be imported into iPhoto within the application. Do not scan images and save them into the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder. Save them to another location such as the Pictures folder or even the desktop. You can then import them into iPhoto.
--All images that you import are sown in the library view. You can choose how you want to view, by rolls, by date, by rating, etc. When you put images in an Album, slideshow, book, etc, you are actually just putting pointers to those images in the library. You are not adding more images. If you delete an image from the Album it will still be in the library. If you delete an image from the library it is deleted from iPhoto's database and your hard drive (unless you have it backed up somewhere else)
--You have a folder of images on your hard drive and want to import them into iPhoto. Drag the folder of images into an open iPhoto Library window and the folder of photos will be copied into the library, resulting in a new roll with the name of the folder. You now have two copies of those photos, the ones in iPhoto's database and the ones on your desktop. You can keep the ones on your desktop that you just imported as backup or you can delete that folder.
-- you scan a picture/pictures and save it in a folder. You cannot scan directly into iPhoto or the iPhoto Library folder in the Finder.
You want all your photos in iPhoto so you import them into iPhoto.
Now you have two copies of that picture/pictures, so you can delete the originals that were in the scanned folder and keep the one/ones that were imported into iPhoto.
-- You download pictures from your camera into iPhoto.
There is now one copy of each of the pictures.
You want to change something about a picture you imported, such as
cropping it or changing the size, or changing the orientation.
Once you do that to a picture, you now have two copies of the picture
in iPhoto, the original and the edited one. The edited one will be in the library organize view. The original is packed away in an Original folder in your iPhoto Library folder under the date of the roll. You can always revert to the original by control clicking on the photo and choose "revert to orginal" You will not have this choice if you used iPhoto Diet to get rid of the Originals.
(a quick note on cropping within iPhoto...when you are in edit mode, you automatically will be in the crop mode with cross hairs to highlight the crop area. To finish cropping you must click the crop button and then go back to library view and your cropped picture will be there.
3.You want to use Photoshop or another graphic program to edit a picture in your iPhoto library.
You can open up prefs for iPhoto and choose "when double clicking on
photo ..do" choose "other" and select Photoshop. Now you can edit all
pictures in your iPhoto library in PhotoShop by double clicking. If you save the photo with the same name and as a flattened file it will be saved right into iPhoto and you will see the changes. If you don't want to save it into iPhoto then do a "save as" and save to the desktop. You will then have the original photo still in iPhoto and your new edited photo on the desktop.
Or, with iPhoto open, you can drag a picture from the library window
to your desktop (you see a + sign on the pic you are dragging). You now
have two of the same picture, one in the iPhoto library and one on your desktop. You can open up the one on your desktop in any graphic program and work on it. The one in iPhoto stays the same. You can also share/export the picture/pictures to your desktop or folder to work on them or do batch processing, etc. You will still have the originals in your iPhoto Library.
Or, you can open up the ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library/folders and option drag any
picture out of the folder to your desktop.

  • Problems with second library

    Hi,
I have a lot of talks I wanted to put in a separate folder than my music. I keep my music out of iTunes and point it to the folder. That worked so far but I seem to have one problem after the other with the talks folder and the new library. Even though I made sure the files were all labelled correctly and so on, they appeared in iTunes (I think most  of them, not had time to check) but many of them lacking album or artist name or even floating around at random - when there are many files to a talk/seminar this is an intensive task to correct - but although at first I could make changes via Info, then they wouldn't be saved, and then I could open Info but could not write in it.
I had been using PowerTunes app but found it easier to do things myself.
I am not sure what to do. That's a day's work anyway. Should I delete the lot and start again? And what is the best way to import the files. I thought just pointing iTunes to the folder did it, but apparently not. Or is there some more radical action? Am currently using Disk Utility to check premissions etc There seem to be issues with system library/java and system library/frameworks etc and then a this:
"Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."
I don't know what that means or if it is serious and whether it has anything to do with the iTunes problem.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Hi Sung Lee,
Here is some info you can check out.
    Sharing Libraries
Sharing libraries between computers on same local Network
Sharing libraries between users on the same machine...
-both users must have sharing enabled in their iPhoto Preferences
-both users must be logged in and have iPhoto running
Remember that you can only view the other library. You can't edit the photos or play the saved slideshows or view the made books or burn them to Cd or DVD. The books and slideshows will show up as an album. You can play that album as an "on the fly" slideshow. You can drag images from the sharing library to your library in the source column to import them to your library. You can then edit, add to albums, books, slideshow, etc.
Sharing one library between users on same machine....
Download iPhoto Library Manager (pay for it if you deccide to use it for this purpose)
    iPhoto Library Manager
    iPhoto Library Manager documentation
this page will show you everything you can do with iPhoto Library Manager.
On the documentation page, click the link on the left for "sharing libraries"
Or you can go here and see if you would like to do it this way:
Sharing one iPhoto library between several users on one machine
    Sharing Links
    Sharing your photos between computers
    About shared photos
    Turning off photo sharing

  • Problems with adding Library for a MySQL JDBC driver

    Good day,
I am new with the JDeveloper package, so the following could be a user fault.
    I found the following:
    - I downloaded and installed Oracle JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.10 (latest version).
    - I downloaded the latest JDBC drivers for MySQL. ( mysql-connector-java-3.1.10 )
Now, I did the following steps extracted from the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/duff/mysql_and_oc4j3.html it should be quite easy to add the JDBC Drivers to the project.
I did the steps with the following results:
When I Edit the Project properties, follow Profiles -> Development -> Libraries
When I do ' New' , fill in at JS2E the value 'MySQL' and fill in the Class Path (in my case 'C:\javaInstalls\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10\mysql-connector-java-3.1.10-bin.jar').
In that case the [OK] is disabled. I should expect the [OK] button was enabled!
My question: Is this a bug? When not, what am I doing wrong!
    Regards,
    Mike

I tried it on an other system and had no problems with adding the libraries. It still is a problem on that particular system using the Dutch version of XP. The problem is that the Ok button stays disabled !
Could it bw a version problem with Java? How ever no changes are made to the original configuration, so it should pick up as default the java version of JDeveloper self.
