Problem with Multisim Transient Analysis TSTOP
Reference the attached PDF. Page 1 is the circuit. Page 2 is the transient simulation using nothing but default settings (TSTOP=1ms). Not convinced that the result is correct but that is not the issue. At least the result is within the range expected and the circuit is oscillating. Page 3 is the same transient simulation with TSTOP = 100u. Page 3 is with TSTOP=10u.
This is a circuit I simulated with good results in PSpice yesterday. I'm a long time (20yr) pspice user who is converting over to Multisim. I have been playing with this circuit for many hours, changing options, playing with initial conditions, applying a current pulse to the inductor to start the simulation. I get a wide variety of outputs, some in the kV range. After much effort it seems to be related to the TSTOP and TMAX settings. If I alter either of these settings from the defaults I get results outside the power supply rails. I have also tried changing TSTEP, changing initial conditions. Everything I do keeps the results the same or makes it worse.
Suggestions?

Hi EDL,
If you are getting a large result a KV output you maybe using a three pin opamp model, use a five pin model instead.

i tried to do pole zero analysis for circuit(shown in attached file where C1=1/6F(167mF) C2=5/18F(278mF) for which
z(s)= (s^2+9)(s^2+1)
s(s^2+4)
for which zeros are at +/-3j ,+/-1j
poles at 0 ,+/-2j as per theory:
But multisim gives different values (shown in attached file)
what is the problem?

Multisim Transient Analysis Stepsize Issue
Hi All,
I have a 32 second wav file that has a 1 kHz noise on it. I am trying to design a simple circuit that will remove this noise.
I am having problems with the output of the transient analysis of multisim. I have more data points that original. Here are all my steps.
Convert wav file into time domain in MATLAB with
-wavread
Save the time domain data to a txt file with matlab. This data has 1,424,800 points.
Design a notch filter with multisim. Input the data with a piecewise linear voltage source that is linked to the text file.
AC analysis of my circuit reveals that it should work, -30 dB gain at 1 kHz.
Run a transient analysis with multisim. Import the results into .tdm then into Matlab with

Here is where my problem is. The output of multisim has 6,396,188 data points instead of 1,424,800. When I use wavwrite and create a new wavfile, it is 2 minutes long instead of 32 seconds like the original.
I believe my problem is the step size settings of multisim. I want to specify minimum step size but multisim does not have that option.
Any suggestions?

I am actually doing the same project I believe the
original poster is doing. I tried using a variety of low-pass filters
in the complete circuit and found that it did not low-pass anything.
All the filter appeared to do was to decrease the voltage of the
signal. When I used Multisim's Bode Plotter on just the low-pass filter
with a generic AC circuit, the Bode Plotter outputted the magnitude and
phase plot of what I expected the low-pass filter should have. However,
when I implemented the same low-pass filter into my circuit and
connected a Bode-Plotter, it did not output anything in the phase and
magnitude plot.
The circuit consists of (from left to right)
1) Comparator to take out a dolphin noise out of the noisy signl (the sound files are too big to attach of course)
2) Low-Pass Filter (1st order RC - while I did other higher order LPFs as well)
3) FET current-source amplifier
Both
#1 and #3 components work. It's just the low-pass filter that doesn't
for some reason in the circuit. I thought that the way I imported the
signal using Matlab's wavread command may have been incorrect. The fact
that the other two comoponents worked though makes me think otherwise.
I attached my signal .wav converter into a txt file Matlab script.
Can anyone shed light on what's going on? I am using the downloaded trial Educational version 10.1.197 of Multisim

Dear Community,
I had a problem with a Multisim project. My project doesn't work, every time it generates a SPICE Error. I rebuild exactly the same circuit as the ThreePhaseInverter(Example from NI). For testing I add a Four channel oscilloscope and a measurment probe but they doesn't work.
What did I wrong, can somebody Help me.

Problems with account determination analysis/revenue accounts
Dear forum,
I am creating a billing document from a service contract.
When I create my billing document I receive an error message saying "Account determination error".
I am checking my account determination analysis for revenue accounts in the billing document (Environment->Acct.Determination analysis->Revenue accounts).
For standard condition type DIFF I receive a message 120 saying "G/L account 0000578109 determined from Account determination type KOFK" which is fine.
But I dont get any message 215 (which should be returned under the row of message 120), and it should say "G/L account in document: 0000578109".
Does anyone know why I dont receive the message 215 and why we receive an error message saying "Account determination error", even though we have succesful hit in the access sequence (access no 40 Sales org/Account key)?
This is how to access sequence log looks like in revenue accounts:
10 123 Access KOFK not carried out (initialized field)
20 121 No G/L account found in Account determination type KOFK
30 123 Access KOFK not carried out (initialized field)
40 120 G/L account 0000578109 determined from Account determination type KOFK
For access 20 (Sales org/Account assignment group/Account key) , we have specified an account assignment group on the Sold-to but not set up any account assignment for this combination. Is that what is wrong? The system expects an account for access 20 since it found the combination of Sales org/Account assignment group?

For the customer we have assigned an account assignement group and it finds the account key via condition type DIFF and guess that is why we get a hit on access 20 in the example above (Message 121). But there is no G/L account entered for the combination of sales org./account assignment group/account key.
Instead, we have chosen to have the G/L account determination based on sales org/account key only, as in access 40. And it finds the G/L account 0000578109 for access 40.
But what I dont understand is why we dont get any message 215 as in EXAMPLE 1.
And we get the error message "Account determination error" in EXAMPLE 2.

Having problems with multisim 12 wattmeter.
When I add the wattmeter to calculate the PF in multisim 12 ,it can not run the circuit anymore and Convergence Assistant also fails to resolve this problem automatically. However, when I remove it, everything would be fine. I would appreciate any idea to help me resolve this problem.

Transient Analysis RLC circuit problem?
I am conducting a transient analysis of a series RLC circuit in multisim.
Using a 10VDC power supply, a switch, a 10 Henry inductor, a 10 Ohm resistor, and a 5 nF capacitor.
My calculations show that ILmax is 223uA at 700uS.
When I perform the transient analysis I am having the following problems:
If I choose "Automatically determine input conditions" then IL peaks at 700uS, but it peaks at 35pA instead of 223uA?
If I choose "User defined" as the initial condition then IL peaks at 223uA, but it occurs at 250uS instead of 700uS?
What am I doing wrong here?
I should be getting 223uA at 700uS???

Problem with Result Analysis report (KKAK)
Hello Experts,
I am facing problem with T-code KKAK, when I am executing this transaction (Results Analysis (RA) on sales orders creates the data for posting to the GL, depending on the sales order (i.e. WIP or COS) ) system is displaying/calculating for all sales order which are already completed (fully shipped and billed), this report displaying in 300 to 400 pages.
My requirement is .. is it possible to display only sales orders which are no completed. This will help alot.
Please help me to solve this problem.

in the selection screen of KKAK in "Output options" there is a flag "display closed items".
Uncheck this and ensure that all completely processed orders have status closed (CLSD).
Thus they will not be reported anymore.

Button in Bex Analyser 7.0 - problem with setting up Static Parameters

I know a similar problem has been discussed here already, but I am still having problems with setting up Static Parameters of my Button in BEx Analyser 7.0, so that I can pass Variable values from that button to my query.
This is what I do - in Static Parameters of my Button I set the following values:

SUBCMD 0 VAR_SUBMIT
VAR_NAME 0 0RMA_FIP
VAR_VALUE 0 004/2010
As a result, I would like the value 004/2010 to be passed to variable 0RMA_FIP (which is mandatory) and the query to be executed with that value. For some reason, however, the value is not passed correctly, and instead the variable is filled with a blank or not filled at all, and I am getting a message "Specifiy value for variable Fiscal year/period". What do I do wrong?
Just to give you a broader picture - I would like to later use this logic to pass more than one variables into a query, including a hierarchy node, and read the values from an Excel worksheet - however, after many attempts to do so, I started playing with just one variable to figure out what the problem was.

We have version 10.5.8 photoshop CS3 for Mac. How do we fix a problem with photoshop not resizing dpi? For example we resized a 72 dpi image to 200 dpi, when we do a pdf analysis it read as 344 dpi.
Sounds like it's a problem with the Acrobat settings. Did you set them to the same resolution?

Problem with Data Model and Analysis View
I create an analyze in BI Publisher and then i create a data model using this object.
When i try to generate an XML with a number of rows the BI Publisher return an empty XML (Only with de DATA_DS tags but no data). To bypass this problem i make and XML file by hand and this allow me to create reports and design it but when i try to view the reports i got the message that says "No Data Found".
So i was check the analysis and all looks appears to be fine, In the results tab it show me a complete table with the data i was looking to use.
So i try to repeat the error and when i try to create the XML for the Data Model i found this two error in the logs:

As i understand there is has a reference to a null value but i cant find what column of the analysis has the problem.
Any ideas about how to solve or debug this?

Problem with E2E Root Cause analysis in EHP1
Hi All,
I'm facing a very strange problem with using the E2E RCA functionality in EHP1. The problem is when I select the systems that I want to analyse and click on a functionality such as change analysis, I get the following error message in SAP GUI:

Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.
I'm fairly sure that this is a connectivity problem because it only happens on my client machines which are behind the firewall. If I connect to solution manager without going trough the firewall I can access the application. I have checked all firewall logs and it is not blocking anything. I also did a trace using wireshark but could not find anything suspicious.
Has anybody faced this problem? Any suggestions to resolve the problem?

Everytime I update Firmware it errors and I have to restore.
This is getting so **** frustrating. I love my iPhone but I HATE iTunes so much. I go to upgrade firmware and then it errors, then the phone is stuck in recovery mode. So I have to restore and upgrade then reload ALL of my music, apps, and contacts.
